MUMBATTAN, Earth-50101.
━ chap 16. spot declares war !

As soon as Red Venom had crossed the threshold of the disappearing portal, a rush of energy engulfed her, causing her vision to blur and body to tingle. Colours swirled around her, blending and distorting, until she found herself falling through a line of connected, glitching circles.

Panic gripped her as she realised she was falling through the portal's abyss, hurtling through an unknown dimension. Screams tore free from her throat through the emptiness, and flailed her arms, desperately trying to grasp onto something, anything to halt her descent.

"This wasn't a good idea! This was such a stupid-" Her loud yelling words get caught off, when a bright light at the end of the tunnel appeared, and she was shot out. She started to fall out of the sky now in another earth, and she flailed around with terrified shouts still.

A busy city full of roads, public transport, cars, and people came into her view as she descending from up above, and soon realised she was now in India, not the place where Miguel went too.

Another scream broke out of her throat as she tried to shoot a web at a building, and catch her fall, but her body started to glitch, like really bad. This made her hunch up, and feel only pain in her Spider senses.

She groans and grunts as her body fell into side bits of people's house, and landed on a clothes line, that shot her up into the air. Red Venom's back collided with someone, making them both grunt at the impact. She pulled off the clothing caught on her face to see Miles, the one who had run into her, and now held her up.

"Miles-!?" She went to exclaim in shock seeing him here with her, but was cut off when the pair fumbled down into a group of people, and fell off a bridge with yells.

Red Venom landed on top of her brother on the stairs, making him latch onto her tightly, as they were sent sliding down a bunch of steep stairs, yells escaping them. Their bodies were launched up into the air again when they reached the bottom, just as their figures fly over a bunch of civilians.

EARTH - 50101
MUMBATTAN

Miles held them both up by a web that he attached to a building, and quickly glanced down at his sister, who was looking tired and paler then usually all of a sudden. He frowns concerned at this, but his attention was taking by a familiar voice talking with Gwen a few meters away from them.

Gwen was trying to capture the Spot, who was disappearing in his black holes to avoid her, making her have a hard time at actually getting him. Red Venom now looked up from her lowered head, and sent a tilt nudge at Miles to let her go.

He did with a worried squeeze to her side, and removed his arm from her, as he just caught a glimpse of her hair, that now had some red streaks in it. Once again, this sent his stomach churning in a bad way.

Red Venom ignores the constant pain coming from her Spider senses, and her body as she aims a web towards where Gwen was. The familiar tug pulls her forward, along with Miles following behind, and they saw Gwen about to deliver a punch to Spot stuck in her webbing.

"We're here to help!" Miles shouted to her in announcement, which didn't end well for Gwen who turned her head away from the villain, to exclaim when she was kicked in the face by Spot.

Ghost Spider landed on some type of metal surface off to the side, and fumbled to get a grip for her to only starting falling. Red Venom instantly acted despite her Spider senses messing up, and shot some webs at the bridges columns, and pulled herself forward fast as she just landed where Gwen was.

"I got you!" She calls in assurance, an aimed a web at the younger girls suited chest, just as Miles did the same with her just in case his sister would drop her.

"Did you follow me?" Gwen questioned in disbelief, as she looked up at them with furrowed eyebrows under her mask, knowing how terrible things will get for Red Venom if she stays.

Red Venom made an air release noise through her teeth, and shook her head in answer, as she turned to Miles with raised brows, mask following the movement, "No! I... I just saw where you went, and...wen there without you knowing." He replied awkwardly while they swinged through the air.

"You're not supposed to be here!" Gwen retorted back with her hands raised, and moved her masked gaze to Red Venom, noticing the changes on her already, "You most importantly shouldn't be!"

Red Venom's face shifted into a confused one under her mask, wondering what the exactly meant because it sounded to her, that Gwen knew something she didn't, "What are you taking about? We're trying to-"

Before she could finish, her body began to glitch rapidly again more then Miles', as if her physical form was trying to be pushed out of this unfamiliar reality. Her movements become jerky, and her vison flickered intermittently, making her grip on the web holding Gwen slip.

"No!, no, no, no!" Miles shouted out in panic watching as his older sister descended towards the ground, and let his web off Gwen who already was chasing after Red Venom's figure. Their gloved hands were close to catching her one's, but before they could something else wrapped around them, and tugged them all up onto a power line.

Once they landed onto the line, and got their grips back Gwen glared at Miles who was frantically looking around for his sister, and ignored what Gwen was saying, "I shouldn't have ever come to see you."

"Dang." Miles winced at her words as he just heard it, and quickly caught onto where Red Venom was in some else's arms, up on top of a high pointed building. He swinged over there with Ghost Spider, and landed just below the guy holding his sister.

Pavitr, the male whom just saved them all was also a Spider ling, and wore a beatufl designed suit, "Hey, who's he new guy?" He asked happily to Gwen, just as he placed down a weak Red Venom down next to Miles, making him wrap an arm around her waist.

"Hey, Pav." Gwen greeted in a monotone way, holding onto the side of the pole they were perched onto, and stared at the Morales siblings, "You already know who (Y/N) is, but he's Miles, and they weren't invited."

Pavitr laughs a bit amused while playing with his yo-yo web slinger, and glanced between the said people,  "Ooh, you weren't invited, and you came anyway?" He raised his gloved hand to his suited mouth, "Boss man's not gonna be happy that you're here, Red."

She placed a hand up to her forehead with a tired groan, and blinked up at the younger male with confusion, "What's that supposed to mean? And how do you even know me?" She questioned suspiciously, and leaned into Miles' side more for support.

"Just know that he talks about you a lot," Pav exposed with a slight knowing giggle as she didn't understand his hidden meaning, and he went on to introduce himself, "My name is Pravitr Prabhakar. And, for the past six months,"

"Six? And even he got a watch?" Miles interrupted with a disbelieving tone, and shot Gwen a look from behind his mask. She shrugged with a lame excuse of stutters, making Miles grumble and Red Venom to sigh quietly.

"Being Spiderman is so easy! I wake up, skip the workout, because I'm naturally buff, and I don't wanna get too big, you know?" He slanted his eyebrows up at the siblings below him, and motioned to his curly hair, "Do almost nothing with my amazing hair,"

Miles found that hard to believe hearing Pav's words, "You don't use any product at all?" He questioned with narrowed eyes on Pav's figure, his white slits following the movement.

"Just come oil, prayer, some genetics,," Pav admitted causally with a shoulder shrug, and cracked his knuckles proudly, "Then I swing by school, don't really have to try, but I do anyway. Fight  a few bad guys, feed a few street dogs, quick break for a cup of chai with my Maya auntie."

"I love chai tea!" Miles added onto the speech in a happy tone, which caused Pav to pause and get up in his face with disbelief over Red Venom's body.

"What did you just say....? 'Chai' means tea, bro!" He stressed in an exclaim with frantic hand motions at Miles, who apologised in quick stutters as he backed up from Pav's outburst, "You're saying 'tea tea!' Would I ask you for a 'coffee coffee'? Hhm? Or 'cream cream'?"

Before they could argue and talk anymore, the Spot had appeared and aimed one of his black holes at the group, causing them to duck with startled yelps. In sync, the Spider four shot webs out to a power line above, and swinged their way towards where Spot was standing.

"Ahh, hello Red Venom." He greeted in a humours way seeing her again, and made another black hole appear in front of him, that started to spin for another attack on them.

She narrowed her (E/C) eyes down on him, biting back the pain she felt in her aching head as she shot webs down below to the poles, and skidded along the ground, just missing the second attack Spot sent to them.

The other three were back behind her, as she went to aim a kick to Spot's chest, but her suited foot ended up getting stuck inside of his black hole. She felt another sharp pain down her spin, making her release a small noise in uncomfortableness.

"Wow! How are you?" He boardy asked without any care, and glanced over at her figure as he saw what was happening to her, "Ah, I don't think very well, right?" He released a blast of his power, causing her to yell out in pain when her back had crashed into the wall, creating a massive indent in it.

Red Venom groaned annoyed at this, and pushed herself out of the wall with a huff of air. The other three quickly rushed off towards the running away Spot, just as she joined behind them, and they all dived off the building into the air after Spot.

"I'm on a journey of self-improvement!" He announced proudly to them as he was descending towards the ground, and used his holes to disappear from their grasps each time they attacked.

"And you came to India. That's a Western culture cliche!" Pav accused not amused, and ended up grabbing Spot's feet with his yo-yo slinger, wrapping it around a power line, and pointed a finger at Spot trapped, "Not cool, bro!"

Spot waved his hands around in front of him frantically, while his body was trapped in Pav's webs upside down, "No, no, no! I did not mean it like that!"

"Let me guess, you wanna ask me about saffron and cardamom and naan bread," Pav began to questioned Spot just as their bodies passed each other in the air, and used his free hand to list the things off, "which is the same as saying 'bread bread', which is the same as saying 'chai tea'!"

"Oh, I love chai tea!" Spot commented hearing this, and just as he passed Pav again he disappeared into one of his black holes, causing Pav to yell out at both things done.

The other three were still swinging after Spot, and Pav ended up colliding with Miles, and Gwen, leaving Red Venom to wince watching it, and began to chase after Spot on her own now.

She shot webs at the entrance of a village market that was busy, and tugged herself forward to gain more momentum, "C'mon, man! I think maybe we kinda got off on the wrong foot!" She called out to the fleeing villain, and tried to aim at web at him through his portals, but got dragged along also, "Let's talk about this!"

"Fine!" Spot and her fell onto the pathway below them, and he tackled her straight away in a rough hold, causing them to topple around, "You made me feel empty, like I had a hole inside me!"

She rolled over onto her back, and sent Spot flying off of her into the air, which just made him disappear into his many black holes surrounding her in the air, "You think you didn't make me feel the same way?!" She exclaimed with wide eyes under her mask, and grunted again when he grabbed onto her, "My childhood was hell, because of you!"

"I gave you a better chance at life, (Y/N)!" He argued back with aggression, and saw her glitching just above him as he took that chance, and latched onto her neck, "But now, I found out what to fill that hole up with!"

They were flying through a bunch of cement walls in the market, which resulted into them breaking each time Red Venom's back made contacted with them, "More holes!" He finished with a shoulder shrug, and sent her toppling to the ground just as they fell out of the market.

"That doesn't make any sense-!?" Her words were cut off when she felt the back of her body slam into a billboard, just lightly softening her fall, and instantly felt more intense pain through her spine. Through her blurry gaze, she spotted the other three finally arriving, and reached her hand up for Miles to grab, just as he passed her fallen figure.

He tugged her up quickly as he swinged with his other hand, and pulled his sister figure underneath his arm, glancing over her to see the damage. His worry was on high alert, now spotting how Red Venom's hair was turning a dark shade of scarlet, along with how she looked even more drained then she should be.

"Oh man, boss isn't going to be happy about this," Pav squeaked out in a mumble seeing Red Venom's state, as he was webbing beside them upside down, and placed his hands up to his face.

She shot him a baffled look hearing this, but shook her head with swallow, and tapped Miles' chest to let go, exhaling slowly, "I'm good, just needed a second to catch my breath."

"But, I think you-" Miles' concerned words were shut down as she sent him a narrowed down look, him telling it was one as her masked eyes moved. He sighed heavily, and reluctantly let his sister go, them all now swinging behind Spot.

Another black hole appeared just before a building they were about to jump over, and had no choice but to go inside of the portal as Spot was going in it. The four of them landed inside Alchemax, and began to run after Spot through the building.

Red Venom kept her gaze in front of her, as she didn't want to trigger any unwanted memories now being back inside a working Alchemax. It was hard enough to deal with the constant ache in her Spider senses, and now being back in here? She was out of her league doing this.

Spot used his holes to transport him straight where the collider room was, just lifting a finger to do so, and started making 'boop' noises. He made more holes materialize, and sent out all the scientist inside, to outside of the barrier he created to stop the Spider lings from entering.

They all found that out when the group slammed into the purple shield, and was sent back with surprised grunts feeling it. The four now started to hit on the force field with their suited hands, but nothing was happening expect for a few sparks, and glitches.

"Hey, you!" Pav turned around beside Red Venom to talk to a sceintes trying to run away, and innocent pointed at the thing they couldn't break, "Could you please deactivate this wonderfully strong barrier?"

Another woman in a white coat helped up the male, and they both went to rush out of the room, but not before he answered Pav's nice question, "It can't be turned off until the collider sequence is complete!"

Red Venom felt her heart drop in dread, and her white eye slits went wide hearing that information, "Collider sequence?" She mumbled to herself, and faced around to where Spot was busy on the panel to control the said thing, "Don't do this, Spot! You need to stop!"

She and the other three continued to shout warnings at Spot, and hit the barrier that wasn't breaking anytime soon with their hands, but he wasn't listening, "I'm bout to be so much more than a villain of the week." He grumbled remembering what Red Venom called him early, and typed away on the panel to start up the machine.

"Look, I'm sorry I called you that, okay?" She called to him with a grimace, and pressed her palms against the barrier, not seeing how it was slowly disappearing underneath them, "You're a great villain! I should know!"

"Oh, not yet, I'm not." He finished off the typing he needed to do, and it made a computer voice speak initialing the collider to power on, as the lights blinked alive also.

The four Spider lings got more frantic to break the barrier hearing this, just as Spot pushed up a lever that fired up the cannons below the collider. While Gwen, Miles, and Pav were discussing ideas, Red Venom thought back to why she called herself her her name.

Lifting up a finger, she nudged it against the barrier and watched curiously as some of it disappeared underneath it, and eventually faded away, "Miles, come help me out with this!" She shouted over the noise without turning back to them, and went to slam both her hands onto the barriers force.

He didn't need an explanation as he understood instantly, and rushed up to the barrier beside her, telling the other two to stand back away. He glanced over at his sister, and shared a head nod with her. Then in sync with each other, their fingertips were pressed onto the barrier, setting off a light show of colours.

Red Venom's hands were filled with red electricy rushing up through her veins, and all the way up over her shoulders, which made her hair fly up a little bit. This was very visible, and so was Miles' blue venom, and they both tried to absorb the power coming from the barrier.

The electricy pulsing through her soon turned into a red aura that surrounding her hands, and body, as she gritted her teeth in pain at the sharp feeling down her Spider senses. She didn't give up at this, and once again didn't notice as the barrier pulsed with colours under her fingers, and was slowly getting absorbed into her.

"I'm not following what's happening right now." Pav admitted nervously, watching with a concerned expression at how shaky Red Venom's hands were getting under the force of the barrier, and shared a knowing look with Gwen.

"Do-do you want us to do something, or do we just stand here?" Gwen also began to voice questions in worry, as she went to reach a hand out to Red Venom to stop her from doing any more damage to herself, but stopped mid way spotting her gritted teeth bared.

Her fingers were almost through the barrier, as her venom was now absorbing the energy faster which was too much for her body to handle, "J-just give us a minute!" She exclaimed through a groan, and pushed more into it despite the agony she felt all over.

"Red, I think you need to stop-" Gwen tried to shout a warning at her, knowing what would happen to her if she kept going right now. She went to grab her arm, but hissed in pain a little bit feeling how hot, and warm her skin felt, which was another bad sign for Gwen.

Before Red Venom or Miles' could do any more damage, an unfamiliar voice called out from behind them "Oi!" A males figure came running through them, and pulled out a guitar pick to blast a hit at the barrier from his guiar.

Gwen caught Red Vemon's figure tripping backward, and held her up despite how her warm skin was stingy hers even through the suit. The group watched as the male slammed through the now broken barrier,  and the Morales' eyes went wide in awe.

"Hobie!" Ghost Spider cheered happily at his arrival, and helped stable the other girl by the shoulder to stand by beside her, causing Red Venom to smile wobbly in thanks.

"Hobie, my guy!" Pav jumped up and down seeing his other friend, and run up to welcome him as he was near Spot standing there in front.

He had a hand on his hips, as the other one was lazily motioning to all the Spider-lings in the building, "Look at that. Another one. I love how many different variations of you guys there are. I mean-"

"Man like Pav, big step up!" Hobie jumped down from the desk he was on, and pointed his fingers at the other male in greeting, "You got me?"

"What's this dude saying?" Miles deadpanned from beside his sister, and questioned confused to Gwen who watched the scene in front instead.

Pav was hitting his fists into Hobie's raised palms, "It's English for 'we got along and we're close friends'!" He explained to the baffled Brooklyn pair, and dodged each playfully hit from Hobie.

"Huh, she's bosses girl right?" Hobie motioned to Red Venom up with Miles, as he had Pav under his arm in an headlock, "And they're the others, from 1610?"

She raised her eyebrows under her mask, and strached her hair annoyed at the fact like, everyone already knows her because of Miguel, "That's just great. What if I don't wanna be known as that?" She grumbled to herself, and tapped her suited foot on the ground.

"Hey, Hobie! Thanks for breaking the shield!" Pav called out happily, when he was sent towards Spot who was throwing holes at them again, and began to fight him with Gwen.

"Bit of advice," Hobie appeared beside the Morales siblings casually, and spawned in front of Red Venom to take her wrist, holding it up to show her burnt suit a little on her hands, "Use the palm, not just you fingers. And don't think so much."

She yelped surprised at the sudden touch, grateful for his words but had no idea what he looked like underneath, which caused her to bring her hand back down, and place it to her chest.

"Also, your suit." He appeared back to lean against a desk, and gestured to Miles' suit as he looked to Gwen for answers, "Is he bleeding from his armpits?"

Red Venom stifled a laugh watching as Miles checked his suit out, and Gwen swinged above to introduce them to each other, "(Y/N), Miles, Hobie. Hobie, Miles, (Y/N)."

"Hi. I've never heard of you, because Gwen barely ever mentioned you." Miles tells him in a not so jealous way, and shrugs his shoulders which made his sister hit the back his head in a scolding manner.

They ducked quicky when Spot aimed a black hole at them from where he was, and Hobie went to join in on the fighting with the other Spiders. Gwen went to aim a hit at Spot, but was instead sent face first into Pav, and their heads collied which sent them flying apart.

"Y'all make a heck of a team." Spot commented with unsmusment seeing how well they worked together, and sent more holes appearing in the air to stop them.

"I don't believe teams." Hobie responded from within a black portal, just as him and Red Venom were stopped by Spot grabbing their faces in a strong hold.

She tried to pry off Spot's hand on her face, and felt another sharp pain travel through her Spider senses but ignored it once more, "Aren't you in a band?" She questioned incredulously at Hobie beside her.

"I don't believe in consistency." He answered casually with a finger raised at her, and sent a kick to Spot which dropped them back onto the ground, as she snickered a little hearing Hobie's words.

"This is gonna be good for us, Red." Spot was strolling to where she had landed on the floor, just as the other four Spider lings came to attack from behind, but he sent them away with a black hole, "You and me are finally gonna live up to our potential."

She stumbled up stand up with heavy breathing, and saw her brother and team drop out from the hole near the back of the building where they began. She held her sore side, and looked up at Spot right in front of her, as the collider was spinning across from them.

"You'll finally have a villain worth fighting," He got up in her face, and was inches away from her as his black spots on his body glitched with his next loud words, "and I won't just be a joke to you!"

Her face dropped into a terrified one as the collider shot out its power, and turned out to create a storm of colours between the two canons. The blast sent them all toppling down onto the floor again, and she watched as Spot began to levitate towards the collider, while waving mockingly at her falling figure.

Before he could go into the collider and absorb its power, something had stuck to his back, causing him to grunt with a jolt. Seen behind him was, Red Venom's web attached to his back, Miles next holding onto her hand, and the others after him all helping also.

"You're not a joke! Right, guys?" She called to the other members for back up, and strained pulling on Spot with her already weakened powers. At her question, she revived mutlpy different answers, that made her deadpan and sigh.

"Yep! Definitely not a joke, man!"

"Absolutely!"

"Completely unamusing!"

"I don't believe in comedy! ..... Just kidding!"

"See? No one here thinks you're a joke!" She tried to swiftly assure the villain with gritted teeth, and felt her web ripping off his back now.

Spot turned his head over his shoulder a little bit, and raised a finger in a snipping motion, "They won't after this."

The web holding onto his back was cut, sending the Spiders all back inside the building away from the collider, and Red Venom yells out as this happened, "NO!"

Spot fell into the explosive portal of colours, and the collider went crazy at this, until it was all sucked back into itself, and everything suddenly went quiet.

"Well, that was another easy adventure-" Pav began to speak proudly which made the others quickly turn to him, shaking their heads with loud exclaims to stop talking.

They were to late to warn him as a bright light shot out of the collider, and sent the Spider lings back with shouts of alarm. Red Venom failed around to grab onto Miles, but suddenly her Spider sense went off like crazy.

Every part of her being seemed to freeze, as Spot's face appeared in her sight, and somehow connect with his being, down from the smallest molecule. it was like she was a deer in headlights, staring into the dark abyss of his soulless eyes.

Visions of past memories starting to flash in her mind with Spots, as she saw him becoming what he was today from the collider back home, followed by him getting stronger and destroying buildings of an unknown universe.

More flashbacks popped into her mind, which were ones from when she was in the lab, trapped and scared tied to a table, with the eerie smiles of the scientist peering down at her child figure. What came next was worse though..

She saw building about to fall on her father, who was shouting at a small figure about to be crushed by it, and he ran towards the scene to save them. The final one appeared in her mind, which was a figure on the ground, their back turned an cradled a body close to their chest, weeping and sobbing over their... dead body?

Once the visons were stopped, her body slammed onto the ground roughly, and Spot was now floating in the air with his black holes taking over his entire body.

The pain, intense and unrelenting, erupted throughout her body. At first, it was just a twinge, but soon evolved into a searing agony that threatened to consume Red Venom entirely. Her Spider senses amplified every sensation, making the pain shaper, more visceral, and excruciating.

She clutched her head on the floor, as if to ward off the waves of torment that crashed upon her. Her heart reached, and her breaths became shallow and rapid, "W-what was that?" She shaky questioned Spot, the world around her blurred as tears welled up in her eyes under her mask.

His back was facing her from within the air, as he raised his hand to show her the fading white on his skin to replaced with an inky black instead, "Our future." His voice was distorted, along with his body glitching without worry.

She felt like she was going to be sick hearing this, and scrambled back on the ground still to try and get away. Her head was still spinning with those visions, and felt everything Spot was in this current moment, as she diged her fingers into her now scarlet messy locks.

"I'm gonna take everything from you," Spot declares in a low rumble, as he now faced her fully and showed her his invested body of black distorted holes, "Like you took everything from me."

Red Venom's bottom lip trembles as her eyes went wide in fear, and felt two different hands help lift her up, but she was solemn focused on the now terrifying looking Spot, "What..?"

"See you back home..." His words trail out in a eerie, and dark way as the abys around him began to be pulled into his body, and then disappeared without a trace, "(Y/N)."

and yes miguel does talk about y/n to the spider people because he's obsessed and can't get enough of her.. which is pretty obvious enough anddd pav, and hobie actually look up at y/n cause of this which is cute in a way 🥲
