⊹₊ ⋆ A FEW DAYS HEAD PASSED SINCE THE argument between Edward and Melanie, whenever they were near each other, well let's just say you didn't have to have Jasper's abilities to sense the tension.

And to make it worse he decided it was a good idea to bring her to meet the rest of his family.

So while Carlisle, Esme, Rosalie and Emmett were in the kitchen making Bella some Italian food, Jasper, Caroline along with Alice were all sat outside feeding while Melanie sat in a tree nearby drinking a blood bag Carlisle had brought home from work, making her dark golden eyes turn red.

She sat watching her wife chase after a deer and listening to the chaos that was coming from the kitchen as Bella and Edward arrived.

"I told them not to do this." She heard Edward say which caused Melanie to roll his eyes, of course, he would be ungrateful, she thought.

"Is she even Italian?" Rosalie questions through gritted teeth.

"Her name is Bella," Emmett says, Melanie almost spat out the blood when she heard him say that.

"I'm sure she'll love it no matter what," Carlisle announced.

"Get a whiff of that." Rosalie sighs, seeing as Melanie was outside, she smelled Bella before she even heard the duo walk through the door. "Here comes the human."

"Bella, we're making Italiano for you." She heard Esme speak, she was definitely the most excited for Bella's arrival, maybe it was because she liked to cook? Or maybe she was just that nice, either or Melanie didn't see the big fuss.

"Bella, this is Esme, my mother for all intents and purposes." Edward introduces.

"You've given us an excuse to use the kitchen for the first time," Carlisle spoke.

"I hope you're hungry."

"-Yeah, absolutely."
"-She already ate."

Once the words flew out of Edward's mouth, a smash was heard, assuming it was Rosalie she smiles to herself. She stood up on the tree branch before speeding away to put the empty blood bag in a bin and then speeding back to find Alice stood where she was once stood, signalling she was ready to go in.

"Perfect." Rosalie sighs.

"Yeah, it's just because I know that you guys don't eat." Bella stuttered.

"Of course, it's very considerate of you," Esme says.

"Just ignore Rosalie. I do." Edward states.

"Yeah. Let's just keep pretending like this isn't dangerous for all of us." Rosalie snaps.

"I would never tell anybody anything."

"She knows that," Carlisle speaks.

"Yeah, well, the problem is, you two have gone public now, so-" Emmet starts before Esme cuts him off.

"No, she should know. The entire family will be implicated if this ends badly." Rosalie states.

"Badly, as in- I would become the meal." Bella hesitated, followed by a few chuckles.

"Although I don't think that would be the worst thing," Melanie mutters loud enough for only Alice to hear as the smaller girl guides her across a tree beach that led to the kitchen terrace.

"Hi, Bella, I'm Alice." Alice grins jumping off the branch. Melanie followed closely behind and stood between Jasper and Caroline as Alice went to hug the human girl.

Bella was surprised by the hug but none the less gave her a short hug back, what surprised her more was Alice's wife's red terrifying eyes were practically piercing through Bella's soul.

"Oh. You do smell good." Alice chuckled.

"Alice, what are you-" Edward started clearly confused.

"It's okay. Bella and I are gonna be great friends."

After a few short moments of awkward silence, Carlisle clears his throat.

"Sorry, Jasper's our newest vegetarian. And Melanie is, complicated. It's a little difficult for them." Carlisle explains as Alice skips back to Melanie's side.

"It's a pleasure to meet you." Jasper manages to get out.

Once Bella looks at Melanie it's as if the smell of her blood just gets stronger and stronger making her step back slightly, not wanting to lose control.

"It's okay, Mel. You won't hurt her." Alice soothes clearly noticing her wife's discomfort.

Melanie hummed in reply as she nods her head towards the human as a greeting.

"Well, anyway, I'm Caroline." The blonde smiles as she claps her hands together. "I'm sure Edward has told you all about me." She dramatically flips her hair to the side in a joking manner causing the rest of the family to laugh, except Bella who didn't realise she was joking, Jasper and Melanie who was trying not to kill the human and Edward who just looked like he was in pain.

"All right, I'm gonna take you on a tour of the rest of the house," Edward says.

"Well, I'll see you soon." Alice smiles

"I think that went well," Carlisle says.

"Clean this up. Now." Esme points from Rosalie to the broken glass on the floor.

"I'll help," Melanie mumbles as she presses a soft kiss to Alice's forehead meanwhile Edward and Bella were chatting about the events that just happened.

"Was that as weird for you as it was for me?" He asks.

"I don't know, but I was wondering something," Bella replied causing them to stop at there place on the stairs.

"How come Melanie's eyes are red and everyone else's is topaz?" She questions.

"Melanie has extraordinary abilities. Just like I can read mines and Alice can tell the future. She can communicate with people through there minds along with reading them, the other person doesn't need to have abilities for it to work either." Edward starts to explain.

"She also has telekinesis and energy manipulation, meaning she can create a ball of energy that she can use to hit or attack someone or something. And to top, it all of she can make people see illusions."

Bella was in awe at the girls' abilities, she thought that Edwards and Alice's were cool, but this girl was mind-blowing, although it also didn't make her feel any better, it terrified her that the girl wasn't that fond of her to start with, but now she's found out what she can actually do. The vampire could tear her apart without even blinking.

"It takes a lot out of her, she has to drink human blood once a week to keep up her strength."

"Why doesn't she just stop using them?" Bella asks.

"She's tried. Her magic is literally inside her, if she doesn't use it for a long period of time it starts going crazy, things moving without her doing it intentionally, along with that it makes her hunger worse." Edward revealed.

"So, she kills people?" Bella asks unsure.

"No." Edward laughs. "Carlisle brings home blood bags from the hospital, she'll usually have two one day a week."

"How did she become a vampire? Did Carlisle turn her too?" Bella questioned.

"It's not my story to tell, you'll be lucky if she tells you, ever. Come, I'll show you around."
