The night memories. . .
Loading. . .
As the night deepened, the storm outside gradually quieted, leaving only the soft patter of rain against the windows. Inside the dimly lit room, Sunghoon lay beside Sunoo, the warmth of their shared embrace still lingering in the cool air. Sunoo had already drifted into a peaceful sleep, his breathing steady and calm, his body relaxed against Sunghoon's.
Sunghoon watched Sunoo's serene face, illuminated by the occasional flash of distant lightning. Sunoo's delicate features, softened by sleep, were so peaceful that it was almost hard to believe the turmoil they had both endured. Sunghoon gently brushed a strand of hair away from Sunoo's forehead, careful not to wake him. The sight of Sunoo, so vulnerable and at peace, brought a bittersweet ache to his chest.
As Sunoo slept, Sunghoon's thoughts began to drift, pulling him back to memories he had long tried to bury. He thought of the choices he had made, the paths he had taken that had led him to this moment. His mind wandered to a time when things were simpler, before the weight of his actions had started to crush him.
He remembered the days of his youth, when his life was still untainted by the complexities of adulthood. Back then, he had been carefree, driven by ambition and the desire to prove himself. But as time went on, he had made decisions—some out of necessity, others out of desperation—that had changed him. The things he had done, the secrets he had kept, had carved a deep chasm between who he was and who he had once hoped to be.
Lying there beside Sunoo, Sunghoon couldn't help but feel the weight of his past pressing down on him. The guilt, the regrets, the unresolved conflicts—they all came rushing back, mingling with the present moment. He thought about the person he had become, and how far he had strayed from the ideals he once held dear.
But as he looked at Sunoo, he felt a strange sense of solace. Despite everything, despite the darkness that had crept into his life, there was something pure and untainted about Sunoo's presence. Sunghoon knew that he didn't deserve someone like Sunoo, yet here they were, together in the quiet aftermath of the storm.
Sunghoon sighed softly, his hand resting gently on Sunoo's shoulder. He wished he could forget the past, erase the mistakes he had made, but he knew that was impossible. All he could do now was try to find some peace in the present, to hold onto the moments of calm and connection that he shared with Sunoo.
As the night wore on, Sunghoon's thoughts began to slow, lulled by the steady rhythm of Sunoo's breathing. He knew the morning would bring new challenges, but for now, he allowed himself to simply be there, in that moment, with Sunoo. The rain outside had become a gentle lullaby, and as he finally closed his eyes, he whispered a silent vow to himself—to protect this fragile peace, whatever it took.
But . . .
Still. . .
Why was Sunoo crying ?. . .
Someone asked . . .
Sunghoon knew . . .
Sunghoon surely knew about who Sunoo was talking about. In fact he knew every single thing between Sunoo and Jake that had happened. He did not hate Jake for anything but he knew he was not pleased with the fact that Jake made Sunoo stress a lot. He was always there when Sunoo needed a shoulder to lean on. Sunghoon was not little when they both met each other. They knew each other just by Heeseung who was Sunoo's ALMOST step brother. Sunoo worked at Heeseung's club as a club guy ready to take the orders and commands from the customers demanded by Heeseung. Sunoo's mother was about to marry Heeseung's dad when they were younger. But when everything had happened Sunoo thought Heeseung was the only one who he had in his life so he prefered to stay by his side and help him with everything. Once they had a phisycal fight and Sunghoon was the one who seperated them. He grabbed Sunoo and took him away and that is how they met each other.
Sunghoon would lie if he said that he did not fall in love with Sunoo right away. Sunoo was agressive towards Sunghoon at first but he became softer when he found out Sunghoon was Heeseung's old friend and was a reliable person. Eventually Sunoo started to catch feelings for Sunghoon too but he believed Sunghoon was religious and would never love the same gender so he just gave up.
Everything changed that day. Sunghoon started to be the main helper of the monarchs and attended every single ceremony that happened on Sundays. He was working at several places just to gain money for seperate place to live but he also had another concerns. The first time when Sunghoon cought Heeseung and Sunoo talking about ending someone's life named Sim Jake he became more curious about it. When there was an opportunity to ask who was Sim Jake, Heeseung refused to answer. Sunghoon told him that he could find him as he had somehow hacking skills at which Heeseung actually believed.
Day and nights were spent to find a person named Sim Jake. The only information he knew about him was that he is australian and younger than himself Sunghoon. He also knew from where Jake and Heeseung knew each other and based on that he started his searches. He outcomes were wastefull untill one day. When he was about to leave the church he heard two people talking about him. He heard someone whining that the other cannot make a move. He did not pay attention to that at first but when he heard the name "Jake" he stopped. He turned around and saw the famous singer Jungwon with someone with an aussie accent. He had hidden himself behind the walls of the churches just to hear what were those two talking about.
"I cannot belive you actually cannot say even "hi" to him ! He has been your crush so much time like bro" Jungwon wined.
"How do I talk to him tho ? "Hello Sunghoon my name is Sim Jake and I guess I am totally in love with you ! " LIKE THIS?"
"He knows my name?..." was the first thought that came up to his mind. "Also Sim Jake ?" he mumbled to himself. He looked at Jake closely "He does not seem korean at all, and his accent.." he slowly grabbed his phone and took a picture of Jake. Heeseung actually gave him the baby photo of the Sim Jake and when he quickly came home he started to find out of the person was the same.
"Three...two...one.."he mumbled in the darkness when the computer was about to finish scanning both photos to find relation.
Sunghoon's eyes widened and his breath had stopped. " Hundred per cent relation ?" he thought. "HUNDRED PERCENT RELATION !" he shouted at whole lungs " FINALLY ! I FOUND HIM !"
Sunghoon's happiness quickly turned into dread when his phone buzzed with a new message. His eyes scanned the text, and his heart sank as he read the words. The message was from an unknown number, cold and direct: "Give me everything you know about Sim Jake, or the world will see the photos of you with other men. Your secret won't stay hidden."
His hands trembled, and his breath caught in his throat. The threat was real, and the fear it brought was suffocating. Sunghoon's mind raced as he tried to comprehend the situation. How had this stranger gotten those photos? Who else knew? If the truth came out, his entire life, the carefully constructed image of a devout, pious man, would crumble. The shame, the judgment—it would be unbearable.
Sweat beaded on his forehead as he stared at the message, feeling trapped and powerless. Sunghoon knew that giving up Jake's information could ruin Jake's life, but if he didn't comply, his own life would be destroyed. The fear gnawed at him, twisting his stomach into knots, as the weight of the decision bore down on him.
Sunghoon sat on the edge of his bed, the soft glow of his phone casting an eerie light on his face. His hands were still shaking as he opened the attachment sent by the stranger. The photos loaded slowly, one by one, and each image sent a jolt of dread through his body.
He stared at the screen, barely able to breathe as he took in the explicit photos of himself in bed with another man. The intimacy, the rawness of the moments captured, filled him with a sense of vulnerability he had never felt before. Every detail was laid bare—the sheets tangled around their bodies, the expressions on their faces, the closeness that should have remained private.
Sunghoon's stomach churned, and his heart pounded in his chest as he swiped through the images. He felt exposed, violated, as if the stranger had stripped away the layers of his carefully crafted persona and left him naked before the world. The thought of these photos being shared, of everyone seeing him like this, filled him with a paralyzing fear.
He tried to swallow the lump in his throat, but the dread only intensified. The shame was overwhelming, threatening to consume him entirely. Sunghoon's eyes burned with unshed tears as he realized just how precarious his situation had become. The control he had always maintained over his life was slipping away, and he was powerless to stop it.
He did not lose the opportunity and sent the whole information to the stranger. He could not believe that someone was actually was after him at this whole time.
The mindset that reminded him that he was being stalked eventually and slowly faded away as nothing happened from that day. He was unsure whether he was being stalked or not. Whether stranger only needed infos or just wanted to have fun teasing Sunghoon. After just one more time hey did not interact again untill the present day.
Sunghoon was given an oportunity to see his stalker again when he was at his classroom and the tragic in the university happened. "Am...I? Am I being stalked again?"
The reason he totally forgot he was being stalked is that he had so much fun listening to how Jake suffered with Jungwon that he could not talked to him. No - he did not like Jake at all, he tried to find him just for one reason. His love Kim Sunoo. But the way someone actually liked him made him feel special finally and he did not tell anything to Heeseung yet.
But then...stalking started again. He felt that he should give up going to church again because he needed to understand what was happening, what did the stalker wanted from him. He already gave him Jake's information why he needed to be stalked again ? After some though weeks when he was about to go insane in researches he finally decided to tell Heeseung he founded him.
The night when Jake went straight to Heeseung's club Sunghoon was impatiently waiting for Heeseung's return. When Heeseung finally arrived back home Sunghoon got up went upstairs and they both said. "I have something to tell you". They laughed and told each other to shout the news at the same time and both lived a huge shock when both of them screamed
" I have found Sim Jake "
Sunghoon lay back on the bed, his heart still racing from the emotions that had surged through him earlier. But now, as he turned his gaze to the sleeping figure beside him, those feelings began to fade. Sunoo lay peacefully next to him, his breathing soft and steady. The moonlight filtered through the curtains, casting a gentle glow over Sunoo's delicate features.
Sunghoon couldn't help but admire the beauty of the man beside him. Sunoo's soft, slightly tousled hair framed his face, his skin smooth and luminous in the dim light. His long lashes rested gently on his cheeks, and his lips, slightly parted in sleep, looked soft and inviting. There was a quiet grace to Sunoo, a feminine elegance that seemed to draw Sunghoon in, making him forget the turmoil that had gripped him earlier.
As he watched Sunoo sleep, the tension in Sunghoon's chest began to ease. The rain outside continued to patter against the window, a soothing rhythm that mirrored the calm settling over him. In that moment, nothing else mattered—not the photos, not the threats, not even Heeseung's eventual return. All that existed was this quiet moment, the warmth of Sunoo's body next to his, and the peace that seemed to envelop them both.
Sunghoon reached out, gently brushing a strand of hair from Sunoo's face. He leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to Sunoo's forehead, then another to his cheek. Sunoo stirred slightly, but didn't wake. The simple act of holding Sunoo close, feeling the rise and fall of his chest, brought Sunghoon a comfort he hadn't felt in a long time.
Without a second thought, Sunghoon wrapped his arms around Sunoo, pulling him close. He buried his face in the crook of Sunoo's neck, inhaling the faint scent of him, a mix of rain and something uniquely Sunoo. He felt his worries begin to dissolve, replaced by a deep, contented warmth.
For the first time in what felt like ages, Sunghoon allowed himself to simply be. No fear, no regret, just the quiet joy of being next to someone he cared about. The storm outside raged on, but within the confines of the bed, Sunghoon found a brief but precious respite. He tightened his hold on Sunoo, pressing one last kiss to his shoulder before closing his eyes and letting the sound of the rain lull him into a dreamless sleep.
