"And look at you, always boasting about being a hero..." he started. "Would a hero really be bullying their classmate?"

A PAINFULLY RINGING SILENCE RESONATES THROUGHOUT THE ENCLOSED CROWD, a bead of sweat dripped slowly down Hitoshi's temple as he calmly awaits the lash of words flying from the boy whom he doesn't even know. As far as he remembers, he hadn't even bumped into him in the hallway.

Who the fuck are they anyway?

A crisp pop broke the muted crowd, showing the visibly bulging vein flexing upon the boy's tall wall of a forehead, rivaling his ego.

Which is higher? The world will never know, your bet is on the forehead though.

"Hm, really?" The lanky boy smirked. "We're doing good deeds here if you ask me."

"Like, ya know." He paused, shrugging his shoulders awkwardly as if he was balancing two raw eggs on his pointy shoulder blades. "Beating up a villain like what a hero would do."

Hitoshi clicked his tongue in annoyance and whipped his head to the side, visibly triggered by his words.

You, on the other hand, saying you were angry would be a huge understatement. Red bubbling lava was practically brewing in your chest, so much so that you were convinced you'd erupt and explode into bits and pieces if not for the timid girl beside you.

A bit disturbed at your blanked out but smiling face, she poked your shoulder softly, begging for your attention. You turned around, perfectly covering your angered fuse with a smooth facade. The girl visibly relaxed upon meeting your soft e/c eyes. "Are you alright?" she asked. "You looked like you were gonna rip some people to shreds just a few seconds ago."

Hell to the flipping fuck no. If you could, you would've already been on top of that cocky boy, tearing his limbs to shreds in the slowest way possible. "Not for long," you responded, gripping your hands into fists so tight, the knuckles were turning white. "But you don't have to worry about me, I'm alright."

Your attention was stolen away as soon as you heard and felt flapping wings cutting through the air. Your eyes landed on a chubby boy with two big red, spikey wings behind his back. Those pairs of wings would have to be admirably strong to be able to lift up that much weight, in other words, Hitoshi might be in trouble.

He landed roughly onto the ground, blowing up a soft storm of dirt with the landing. He dramatically stalked in front of Hitoshi and crouched lazily in front of him in a taunting manner. "Now ain't he feisty," he commented. "I think we should teach him a lesson."

The chubby boy breathed disgustingly into Hitoshi's face, and groggily stood back up. The skeleton boy played along with the cringy, narcissistic act, laughing, or more so screeching like a pigeon being penetrated by a spatula. "I agree."

The crowd responded with nothing more than a few whispers here and there, with their full attention snatched by the scene portrayed in front of them. Some exchanged glances and agreed with a nod to flee the scene, while the rest brought up their phone to record and send the potential fight to their friends.

The amount of suspense in the air was thick, thick to the point that it was becoming too difficult to breathe. People were holding in their breaths, eyes wide opened, eager to witness the beatdown of their classmate. As sickening as it was to admit, you were sure they were excited and waiting to see the two boys pummel up Hitoshi into a pulp.

"Disgusting."

The skinny boy began raising his bony hand, aiming for a solid, direct punch towards Hitoshi's right cheek. Even though you knew, with those toothpick arms of his, he wouldn't be able to do much more than leave a scratch or two, you wouldn't let anyone ever even have the chance to ruin that perfect, pretty face.

It was about time that you step in any way.

As you pushed more people to the side to intervene, the girl beside you shrieked in surprise and shrank away from the frame, allowing you to step ahead a bit further. With impressive speed, you whipped out a wooden pencil from your bag, wasting no time to activate your quirk.

Hitoshi squeezed his eyes shut, anticipating what he thought was an inevitable blow. "Just as I thought the bruises would be healing." He inwardly rolls his eyes. "Wait shit, how am I supposed to explain this to Y/N?"

Hitoshi winced and flinched, feeling the air swipe for his face. The swipe of air, however, was soon replaced by a gust of wind blowing through his hair, almost tugging the roots from his scalp. The blow never landed.

After a few seconds, Hitoshi hesitantly peeled his right eye open, and soon his other to realize the weight that was pushing him down was no longer present. The boy who was standing in front of him was also gone, replaced with only a deep, long trail of picked-up dirt.

The crowd gasped, bewildered and a bit confused. The dirt acted like a smokescreen, allowing you to be hidden for a few seconds, it wasn't intentional but it worked in your favor in the end. Hitoshi was squinting through the veil, trying to gain a grasp and understand the situation. Everyone including him wasn't expecting this to happen.

He was ultimately stunned, scared, but mostly relieved. He couldn't help but wonder, who and why would anyone step in for someone like him? Even though today was exceptionally tougher than others, despite the huge crowds, he wouldn't have ever thought that someone would ever step in to help. Nobody would want to be known as the kid who "helped the villain."

Awkwardly, he patted himself down and sat up from his spot. As he straightened his back, his head was bumped into an obscure object. Confused, he tilted his head back and glanced up, only to see the boy who was standing on his back only a few seconds ago is now secured into the air with- vines?

"Holy shit, it's Y/N isn't it?" he whispered.

Following the thick green tentacles, he quickly traced back to the too-familiar short frame of yours, finally revealed to the public's eye. Holding the vine-wrapped pencil as if it was nothing more than a stick, you twirled the pencil around, and as a result, swinging the boy along with it. The boy screamed hysterically while everyone stepped further back, mouth gaping in bewilderment.

"Wha-What the fuck is going on?"

You stood unbothered despite all the attention and smiled innocently at the boy being held hostage in your hands. The sound of your foot tapping impatiently against the ground was contrary to the soft expression on your face. Pushing a few loose strands of hair behind your shoulders, you placed your free hand on your hip and opened your mouth to speak.

"Ah hello, didn't see you there!" You giggled. "How was your day, sweetheart?"

The victim gulped in response and began frantically thrashing around in the iron grip of your plants. You did nothing to stop him and continued to watch boringly at his embarrassing attempts to squirm out of the hold. Soon enough, he got frustrated and began screaming incoherent yells at no one in particular.

"Put me down!" he anxiously yelled after finally being able to calm down. His lame attempt at dominating the situation made everyone in the crowd cringe in second-hand embarrassment. Not enough to make you feel empathy for him though. "J-Just because you're a hero's daughter doesn't mean you can go around and break the school rules!"

"You out of all people should know that I don't care about that." you smiled. "I did the same thing only a few years ago, shouldn't have come off as a surprise."

A few nods of agreement were passed on throughout the crowd, confirming that your claim was indeed correct.

"Ah, what were you blabbering on about anyway?" You asked, tossing the pencil up and down within your palms. "You seemed really really passionate about what you were saying, care to repeat it again?

"You won't mind... right?" Ending the note with what many would agree to be a threat, you tilted your head towards the side, allowing some hair to bounce along with the momentum. You gave off an innocent smile and widened your eyes, awaiting his response.

"Are you deaf? I said to put me- uMPH," you tightened the grip of the plants closer to his chest, cutting off his air supply for a brief second.

A rare irk mark appeared on your temple, causing the stick boy to hitch his breath. Gritting tight onto your jaws, you managed to slither past one word directed only towards the wimpy boy. "Nevermind."

As quick as your temper rose, it died off. The rage of pooling, red hot lava was replaced with a calm swamp, the only emotion radiating off your face was one of boredom. You stretched your arm a bit towards the side and did a few lunges to both sides of your legs. After a few subtle hops, you brought your arm back, reeling your foot towards the front. "This is a waste of my time."

As you swung the boy forward, just as the plant was reaching its peak, using a back-up push added with the momentum, you called your plants to loosen its hold and fling the boy all the way across the school grounds over the metal gates. "Have fun at your tea party!"

Everyone turned their head to see where the boy would land, only to lay eyes upon the forgotten chubby boy lying unconscious against the wall. Hitoshi's mouth was gaped open, completely astonished at the scene that he always dreamed of in his sleep. Of course, he wasn't the one that did it, but the taste of revenge was sweeter on his tongue than anything he had tasted before.

The lanky boy landed roughly on top of the other, who acted as a cushion with a thud.

Another silence washed over the crowd, but this time, you aren't waiting for it to break. "Anyways, let's go Hitoshi." you skipped towards his dazed figure and reached out a hand to help him up.

Hitoshi was still trying to keep up with what's going on. Everything is going by a bit too fast for his liking. One second, he was sure that he was going to be walking around with a limp. But in the next, his who he would call his-friend-for-now, saved him from the bullies in such a fashion, it was like she was a white horse prince saving a damsel in distress.

Hold up.

When he didn't make a move to even look back at you, you impatiently smacked his head and folded your arms, forming your lip into a pout. "Hitoshi~" you cooed. "Hurry up, I'm hungry."

Rubbing the bruise forming on his head, he finally turned around and stood up to face you. "Are you serious?" Hitoshi deadpanned. "Just as I was about to thank y-"

"You don't have to thank me Hitoshi." The said boy tilted his head in confusion.

"I should be sorry for not being there during the other times you needed help," you mumbled. Hitoshi peered down at your face that was conveniently hidden by the curtain of your hair, sighed, and brought his hands up to give a small pat to your head, to which you gladly accepted.

"You don't have to feel sorry about that, dumbass."

As the sun began to set, the two beat-up bullies were seen limping towards a vending machine with scratches all over their bodies.

Throwing the coins into the hungry machine, they both crouched down to receive the snacks that they had paid for.

"Damn, this wouldn't have been so hard if Bakugou was still here." The lanky boy sighed, opening the soda can with a crisp pop.

"Right?" The winged boy huffed before throwing a few chips into his mouth. "Can't believe we got beat up single-handedly by a girl."

The other took a long swish of his drink, before slowly bringing the can back down. "Well she is a special case, we can't do anything about that." He replied. " We should've seen it coming."

"True."

After a few silent moments of doing nothing more than eating, they both finished their snack and threw their trash into their respective bins before continuing their way down the street.

They both thought back to the girl's face and unawaredly became two blushing messes trying to stay balanced on their knees. They looked at each other with knowing eyes and chuckled before throwing a signature high five towards each other.

The taller one of the lather leaned down towards the other with a perverted, smug smile. "She do be kinda hot though-." he whispered.

"AachOO!"

"You alright there Y/N?" Hitoshi asked. "Did you catch a cold?"

"Nah, I hope not. I haven't been sick this whole year, I ain't breaking that streak." you proudly smiled, puffing your chests out in a prideful manner.

"Imagine not getting sick at least twice a year." Hitoshi smirked. "Oh wait, I don't have to."

"HiToShI!"
