SODABUBBLEZ has been highly solicited as of late, delivering impactful performances and snatching awards at several year end shows as froot of their new album's incredible success. Due to the huge spotlight they've earned, the nation has been turning a lot of attention towards these performances, their Soda City Funk Medley on Mama climbing to the number 1 top search on Naver as well as their Golden Disc Awards and Gayo Daejeon performances. With all of this visibility, netizens were quick to notice member Guckhyeon was not doing as well as the other girls, her stage presence suffering with each performance. Guckhyeon's thinly veiled nerves and lack of coordination were a big shock to netizens who's heart she had won over as trainee in SugarPop when her solo song " BIRTHDAY" reached number one on Melon. Outraged at this unprofessional behavior, Naver exploded with criticism and commentary over Guckhyeon's performance with her name climbing up to the third top search. Many netizens are asking for an explanation or an apology, denouncing this behavior as unacceptable and a disrespect to the group, fans and award shows.

In response to this, both korean and international Co2's have been trending #ShutUpAboutGuckhyeon and #OurDancerGuckhyeon on Twitter for over 6 hours, creating some friction between netizens and the fandom on several internet platforms.

In the early morning of this tuesday 19, our Dispatch spotted Bu Guckhyeon
leaving Yinsu Mental Health Clinic in downtown Seoul. Guckhyeon was with her manager and wore simple clothes, sunglasses and a mask, none of her signature watermelon pins to be found.

The singer seemed to be trying to hide, using no identifiable items, a non-company car
and going into the clinic before their official opening time.

This leads us to ask, what  must be so painful that it drives a young girl into resorting to psychiatric clinic ???  What condition is so serious that makes her want to hide her visit?

Over the time Guckhyeon has been in the public eye, many have speculated on her health. Being the daughter of visual goddess Ock Juhyun, Guckhyeon's fuller shape shocked the public when she first appeared, and the possibility of her having an eating addiction disorder has been a popular topic within netizens. Guckhyeon has also been seen to have a heavy reliance on  organization in order to function, which is a hallmark characteristic of OCD, or Obcessive Compulsive Disorder. Another sign of mental illness could be Guckhyeon's tendency to be a bit slow, which could indicate cognitive issues.

It break our hearts over here at Dispatch to see such a young girl struggling with dark and disturbing issues. We hope this isn't a result of any neglect and abuse from her parents or company, which are normally the causes of such disturbances. Being an idol can be an ordeal and not everyone is cut for it. Very few people are tough enough to handle the responsibility. Guckhyeon has our best wishes and we hope she can overcome her struggles.

Early this morning of the twenty first, Chungnam Creative's CEO issued an official statement announcing SodaBubblez member Guckhyeon would be taking a short mental health hiatus until their next comeback. The CEO, Lee Illseong issued an official letter on his personal Instagram giving some context and explanations about the decision

" Hello, this is Lee Illseong, CEO of Chungnam creative and the main responsible for SodaBubblez's management team. It is with hurt in my heart that I announce that after long discussions with our artist Bu Guckhyeon, it has been decided that she will be in hiatus until SodaBubblez's next promotional cycle. Guckhyeon had been unknowingly suffering with symptoms of Anxiety ever since August, and the throughout the year end performances she struggled intensely with nervousness, panic and stress .
After noticing she was hurting on a daily basis and that work as an idol had turned into a harmful burden, our staff contacted her parents and we started discussing seeking counseling for her. Guckhyeon's parents expressed deep concern and provided a personal car to take her to a mental health counseling clinic, opposite to what the entertainment publication Dispatch had to say, she was not accompanied by a manager but instead her uncle, who is a psychiatrist . The visit was kept discreet as to protect Guckhyeon's privacy and not aggravate her state, mental health is a huge stigma in our society and many low intellect netizens cling to any piece of vulnerability an idol shows to use it against them. Guckhyeon is a young bright girl who is going through a lot at the moment and we tried our best to keep her out of harm's way. We sincerely apologize for indirectly allowing her personal business to be exposed by such a low level publication. That early morning, Guckhyeon was formally diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder and after several meetings with psychologists and psychiatrists, her counselors, Guckhyeon herself and our company have all agreed that she must take a break to focus on restoring her mental and physical well being. We ask you to continue to support the 7 member's of Soda Bubblez until they soon become 8 again and show respect and love for our Guckhyeon who will be resting from this moment on.  "

IMMEDIATELY and Co2's all took a blood oath sworning their eternal hate towards Dispatch and knetizens. The mood really was total denial and everyone was LOSING THEIR MINDS at the thought of her absence. Seeing an ot7 Sobabubblez genuinely hurt after the girls and the fandom had fought so hard for them to be together as 8 . This was a full on Emo Co2 Era with them crying every time the members gave any little update on Guckhyeon. All of this sorrow also manifested in some real shows of agression, Co2's insisted that Guckhyeon would not have needed a hiatus if knetizens hadn't crucified her for her dancing and demonized her for going to a mental health clinic, and with that mentality some members of the fandom committed a series of doxxings . The doxxing was not simply limited to random bitches on Naver, but big names in the most toxic landfills of Kpop Twitter who shat on Guck for the hell of it were also doxxed and harassed off the platform. This was what shifted Co2's reputation from an emotional fandom who's a bit too sensitive to scary bitches you will tear your eye out. Their doxxings became common knowledge on Kpop Twitter and they quickly became infamous , but there were also a lot of people who tried to minimize their actions by saying they did us " a favor " by getting rid of toxic people and that they were the only fandom who had the guts to stick their neck out to protect their faves.
