Y/n put down Alexa's home phone.
She was wet from head to feet from the rain. The clothes and hair were all ruined. The wet face where the tears could not be distinguished from the rain.

Alexa's mom brought her a towel to dry. Her best friend, instead, brought her clean clothes, basically the two girls were the same size, even if y/n was a bit smaller.

When y/n was all ready for sleep, went into the room with her friend and got under the bed sheets with her. They both looked at the ceiling.
"Do you want to tell me what happened?"
Y/n sighed
"Since you hang out with Ryan, I've spent a lot of time with Luke. He introduced me to his friends, very nice. He asked me to join his band, I accepted. He taught me to play his guitar, we wrote so many songs and we spent every single day together. He was so nice, every time I felt a strange but beautiful feeling. Tonight I sang fir the first time in front of many people, I was so nervous and he had promised he would be there with me, but he wasn't. He had a date with Clarissa, a nasty girl from my dance class. I shouted at him, I was really mad. These days he always treated me sweetly, he looked at me weird but in a good way... I don't understand why he went out with her"

Alexa looked at her
"Wow, I just missed some days, not a whole year!"
Y/n laughed
"Anyway, I think that what you feel for Luke is love and you were just jealous, it's normal"
She got up
"In love? With Luke? Nah"
"And maybe he loves you too"
"He likes Clarissa, and it's fine"
"I bet she is not so beauty"
"She has blonde hair, green eyes and porcelain skin. I am a sack of potatoes, I lose at the start"
Alexa laughed
"That's not trueee. Listen, since you have known him, I have seen you happier, you finally make music and write better"

The blonde took her notebook and opened it
"Bright, finally free, edge of great, stand tall, are all great songs"
"I wrote them with him..."
"You two are amazing together, I think he knows it too"
Alexa continued reading her notebook

"It's not complete"
"You wrote it thinking about Luke, right?"
"Maybe? We wrote it together and I was thinking about him all the time"
"I know love hurts, but you and Luke are linked, you will find a way to come back together"
"I'm mad at him, I don't want to talk with him"
Alexa sighed
"Okay"

"How it's going with Spanish?"
Alexa smiled
"Reggie is so nice, and good with Spanish"
"He is a sweet guy, Alexa"
She looked confused
"Why are you telling me?"

The next day, y/n went to school with her friend. She passed next to Luke without saying hi. The boy looked at her sadly.
Reggie waved at Alexa and she winked at him.
"Man, are you okay?" Asked Alex to Luke
"I'm so stupid"
"Yes you are" Said Reggie
Alex glared him
"He lost a perfect girl. I liked her, she is so sweet and she smells like vanilla" Replied Reggie in defence
"Vanilla and flowers" Said Luke looking at her
"You hang out with a girl that she hates and abandoned her when she needed you"
"Okay Reggie, I understood"

Reggie went to Alexa. They both were studying Spanish, but the girl wasn't interested
"Alexa?"
"Uhm?"
"What are you thinking about?"
"Y/n. She is so sad"
"Luke is so sorry"
"She said she doesn't want to see him anymore, but I'm sure she has feelings for him"
"I think Luke too, is trying to be forgiven"

"Do you know something about y/n?" Asked Luke during lunch
"Yes, Alexa said that she is really mad at you. What you want to do?"
"I will be forgiven, I don't want to lose her, maybe I still have time"
"How?"
"She and I love one thing for sure, music"
Alex looked Reggie confused while Luke looked y/n smiling.

Y/n was getting ready to go to the dance class. At her locker she found the blue- eyed boy, but she ignored him.
"I know you are mad, but there was a reason if I went out with her"
"Yes, you can't keep it in your pants"
He sighed
"Really? This wasn't the reason, please..."
She looked up at him with wet eyes
"Rosy- cheeks..."
"No Luke, I'm not rosy- cheeks anymore, leave me alone"
She closed her locker and went to her dance class
"Kill it on the dance floor!"

When the lesson was over, Clarissa walked over to her.
"Are you still mad at me and Luke? You know, we had a good time together and we lost track of time"

She held back her tears
"He told me how much he loves me"
"Mh nice, are you done?"

Clarissa snorted and went away.

Y/n was left alone in the room. She started humming the melody of Perfect harmony and practiced a little more. After a few minute, a singing of a male voice was heard. Y/n knew who he was, turned and looked at him. He continued to sing, took her hand and held her by the hips. Y/n bit her lips. The two soon started dancing and singing together. It could feel the chemistry between the two.

Luke looked her in the eyes. She took a step back. He looked at her sadly.
"Please, forgive me. I didn't want to miss it, I wanted to stay there and support you, but I had to go out with her"

"No, I didn't, she invented this"
She wasn't completely convinced

He took her face in his hands and looked into her eyes.

She bit her lip. She had that feeling in her stomach. He looked at her lips

"Yes?"

He smiled

The boy closed his eyes and gently placed his lips on hers soft. They both smiled during that sincere and awkward kiss, but full of love. A kiss that made them both understand how much they needed each other.
Luke slowly pulled away, smiling. He smoothed her hair, stroking her face.
