AURORA STOOD BEHIND DEAN as she lowly gripped his pant leg tightly, scared for what the angels were about to do. Dean protectively pushed her further behind his body, ready to take on any threat against Aurora.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Okay, I know she's wiretapping your angel chats or whatever, but it's no reason to gank her."

"Don't worry, I'll kill her gently," Uriel said, nonchalantly. Aurora looked at the angel with complete judgment in her eyes. She grasped her necklace, an angel with golden wings, and wondered if these were the people that her mother told the young girl that would protect her.

"You're some heartless sons of bitches, you know that?"

"As a matter of fact, we are. And?" Aurora couldn't believe what she was hearing. All of this time, she was taught to believe that angels were protectors and saviors, but now, she was reassessing her thoughts.

Scaring the small girl, Aurora was cut out of her thoughts by Uriel throwing Ruby into the wall, glass shards scattering everywhere. Dean threw himself at Uriel and attempted to hit the angel, him failing to do so.

"Get off my daddy now!" Aurora was kicking Uriel's legs, obviously not having much effect on him. Uriel chuckled evilly and was about to smite the child, but before he could, Castiel quickly put two fingers on her forehead and picked her up bridal style to an empty room.

"Not her, Uriel," Castiel said seriously to the other angel. Once Castiel found a safe place for Aurora, Castiel proceeded his way to Anna.

"Cas, stop...please." Not listening, Castiel knocked out Sam as well as he suddenly fell to the floor roughly. Before the angels can get anywhere near Anna, an intense flash of white light filled the room, instantly sending the angels away.

Everyone in the room had questioning looks on their faces. As Dean looked around the room, he noticed Aurora wasn't in the room with the adults. This made Dean's heart rate speed up as worry and concern filled his body.

"Aurora! Aurora, where are you?" Dean started to frantically search through the rooms to finally go into the last room to reveal his unconscious daughter.

"Aurora! Come on, baby, wake up please." Dean repeatedly tapped her cheeks gently, soon making her wake up.

"Urgh, my head."

"What happened, baby? Who hurt you?"

"Nobody hurt me. That one angel was about to kill me, but Castiel protected me." Dean felt anger, fury, and rage that Uriel was about to kill his daughter, but he was also thankful for Castiel.

Throughout the rest of the day, the group tried to find Anna's grace to soon figure out that it is gone. Everyone was being frantic and eager about Dean being possibly thrown back into damnation and they all tried to keep Aurora more unknown about the situation, not wanting to traumatize the child.

Sam gave the child graham cracker cookies as everyone else was on the lookout for the angels that could possibly appear in the barn at any time.

"Where's Ruby?" Sam asked, looking in and out of the barn.

"I don't know, she's your hell buddy." Dean took a swig of alcohol from his flask and Aurora looked towards her father with a sad look. She remembered vividly how her mother would consume the strong-smelling drink which would make her violent and angry at times.

Not wanting to reminisce on the bad memories, Aurora used her small hand to take out the flask from Dean's. He gave her a curious look and when he noticed her sadness, he started to get worried.

"What's wrong baby?"

"Mommy would drink the juice that smelled like this and when she did, she would hit me at times." Aurora held her head down as Dean gave her a look of sympathy. If he would have known that alcohol would bring back bad memories for his daughter, he wouldn't have brought the flask in the first place.

"I'm so sorry, sweetheart. I won't drink this anymore." Aurora knew he was lying, but she also knew that Dean wouldn't hurt her so she didn't worry as much.

After a moment of silence, a gush of wind burst through the barn doors to reveal Uriel and Castiel. Everyone was staring at each other until Castiel spoke first. "Hello, Anna."

"How did you find us?" Sam questioned the angels, but the two of them had their gaze on Dean who held down his head in shame.

"I'm sorry."

"Why?"

"Because they gave him a choice. They either kill me...or they would kill Aurora. I know how their minds work." When Aurora heard her name, her grip on Dean's arm grew tighter as the fear sunk in further in the child.

"Really Cas? My daughter?" Dean was furious at the angel.

"I did not make that choice," Castiel stated with sincerity. He would never dare to put Aurora in any danger. It was Uriel's idea for Dean to choose between his daughter and Anna.

Just as Anna was about to surrender herself, demons appeared in the room to reveal a weak Ruby in their custody. The angels and demons were throwing threats at each other until a demon threw the first punch, leading the rest of the others to fight.

Castiel was about to smite Alastair, but when he put his hand on his head, nothing was working, leaving a dumbfounded angel.

"Sorry kiddo, why don't you go run to daddy." Alastair had Castiel in his grip and started to chant a spell to make him weak, but Dean soon got to the demon and hit him in the face.

"Castiel, are you okay?" Aurora ran to the angel as her father and uncle were dealing with Alastair. Castiel nodded and checked to see if the child had any injuries on her body.

"Yes, I'm okay." The sound of glass shattering on the floor grabbed the attention of everyone in the room, revealing Anna's grace entering her body again.

"Shut your eyes. Shut your eyes!" Dean was about to search for his daughter to shield her from the bright light, but she already had her eyes covered by Castiel's hands and coat covering Aurora's small body.

Once the whole fiasco was over, Aurora ran over to Dean and embraced him into a long hug. Dean picked her up and stroked her hair, trying to comfort Aurora.

Dean noticed that Aurora wanted to ask him something, but she was holding back on it, not sure if this was the correct timing.

"What is it, baby? Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm okay. Can we get pie after this?" The sweet voice of the six-year-old made everyone laugh slightly, the adorable child lightening up the mood.

"Of course, sweetheart, we can get pie." Sam and Dean soon drove on the road, the long drive making Aurora sleep in the backseat. Dean didn't want his daughter to hear about the experiences he went through in hell, knowing that he himself, could barely think of the fiery pit without breaking apart.
