Chaldish

I as I woke up I stretched my arms up

"Ow!" Ricky groaned as I looked up at him in shock

"Shit sorry I forgot that you slept here," I exclaimed checking his face to make sure I didn't accidentally hit his nose or something

"So our dance last night meant nothing to you?" He asked jokingly acting offended

"EJ was always the better dancer," I responded matching his tone as he flipped us around and had him straddling me

"Take it back," He stated with a pout

"Or what Bowen?" I smirked as an idea popped into his head

"Or this," He whispered as he started tickling my sides

"Okay, okay I take it back!" I yelled in between laughs as he got off of me

"Good." He said as he got off of me,

"Shit we gotta get to school," I said as I rolled out of bed and found some random things to wear for the day.

--------------------------

"I am still annoyed that I only have you in one class and they won't let us partner up." Ricky moaned as we walked down to rehearsal referring to the fact that our English teacher refused to let Ricky and me work together on our project for the class,

"Can you blame them, Rick? Most teachers know that we've literally been close friends since like kindergarten." I said with a giggle as we walked in to see a set of tables in a circle with different name tags on them.

"Could everyone sit in their assigned seats, please?" Miss Jenn asked as she made her way to her seat,

"Don't forget to silence your phones." She took a deep breath,

"I realize that you all walked in here as strangers." She added as Ashley smiled and looked over at EJ.

"Actually," Ashlyn said as we all looked up to see her pointing at EJ,

"EJ's my cousin!" She finished as Miss Jenn deiced to continue.

"But after today," Miss Jenn said as she thought about what words to say to us,

"You're a family. One tribe committed to lifting this classic film into new heights." She ended as Ricky and I both looked at each other trying not to laugh,

"Please take your neighbours hands," She said as Ricky and I realized that our hands had been interlocked this whole time we both looked at each other and smiled. Carlos snapped me out of my daze as he grabbed my other hand,

"I just knew they were our Troy and Gabriella." Miss Jenn exclaimed as Ricky and I both blushed wanting the ground to just swallow us up.

"Okay, we are going to do a full read-through." Miss Jenn stated after she gave us an emotional speech.

"You, you can you read?" (why was that a tongue twister on my brain to write.) Miss Jenn asked looking over at Big Red.

'Boy was this going to be a long first rehearsal' I thought to myself

"Let's take five people, and we will start the second act." Miss Jenn huffed as we all got up and walked out of the room.

"Now if that wasn't the most boring time of. my life, then I don't know what will be." Ricky whispered to me as I shook my head,

"Don't you see, she's trying to teach us the importance of patience," I explained to him as he smirked,

"And why would we need to know the importance of patience?" He used his fingers as quotation marks,

"Because when you think about theatre and the number of people who won't get something on the first try and that we are all different people, therefore, the ones who get things first must be patience towards the ones who don't," I added as he stood there for a moment.

"So when is your self-help book coming out?" He asked jokingly as I couldn't help but smile,

"What on earth am I going to do with you, Ricky Bowen?" I asked him as I laughed,

"Not a single clue Aurora Blake." He responded as I stuck my tongue out at him,

"That was just chaldish." I said putting on the worst British accent I could have possibly done thinking back to the time I got Ricky to watch an episode of Love Island with me.
