And before you leave, the Judges have a few words to say to you both;

Netsuke, the writer who always brought a smile to my face during entries. I am so proud of you. You are awesome, and I wish you got to the top three, but we all know it's a competition, no matter how many people are great out here, we can only have one winner.

Do not forget we are all winners. You did so well during the competition, from the very entry to every submission you ever made. Though I can remember one, I don't think I would forget in a very long time. "Who will cook Jollof for us" I don't think I would ever forget that statement, and a lot of laughter. Even though that entry wasn't the very best, you still managed to make it fun to read.

I would say, I always envisioned you in the top three, but this is a competition as I said before, no matter how well many of us are good, there must be a winner.

Netsuke_Writes, you took a bold step by joining project pen, and also being efficient till date, it's not easy. I commend your hard work, and I believe the project pen team and judges, are proud of you. Kudos, and good luck in all your endeavors. You should know, you always had a fan in Judge purple, Lot of loves.

PAM 014

Pam, you really are a very beautiful writer and I don't think this should even be arguable. This is something peculiar about your writing style, something kind of bittersweet and heartwarming that has always made you stand out right from the beginning of the competition.

I'm not going to get tired of saying this but your writing style is really impeccable, you have this way of writing in such a way that it tugged deeply at your readers’ heartstrings and it makes us feel everything your characters are feeling.

I must also commend your consistency, right from the beginning of the competition, you've never failed to deliver breathtaking entries. You had your lows, I think you had one or two entries that didn't really do justice to the said prompt but the entry was still beautiful nonetheless.

Another thing I must also commend is your use of Second Person POV, I've always admired writers who can pull that off and with that, you still have my respect.

I'm glad that you joined Project Pen, and that you blessed everybody in Project Pen with your impeccable writing skills and I hope you aren't dampened by the fact that you didn't make it to the top three. You made it to the Top Five and that's a huge feat on its own. I'm rooting for you and the whole of Project Pen is rooting you.

And like Judge Black said in the first stage, you really know how to stand out.
