So I offer my life as a sacrifice

"𝕋𝔸𝕃𝕂 to me, Lyle," the colonel spoke, his eyes fixed on the soldier's head camera feed revealing the aftermath of the Na'vi assault on the RDA machines. The destruction, the lifeless bodies impaled with arrows-it painted a grim scene. "It looks like they hit it with banshees first. See the angle's steep? They set the ampsuit on fire. Driver's toast," Lyle explained, pointing out the extent of the damage. The colonel, surrounded by a group of people, scrutinized the monitor before inquiring, "The rest of the squad?"

"Six bodies. That's all of them. The equipment's totalled," Lyle reported. The colonel absorbed the information, his expression grave. Parker, seated in his office with the colonel, spoke up, "Jesus Christ."

"I'll do it with minimal casualties to the indigenous. I'll drive them out with gas first. It'll be humane. More or less," the colonel proposed. Parker, after a moment of consideration, replied, "All right, let's pull the trigger."

Trudy sprinted down the hall, determined to reach the lab where Grace, Arya, Norm, and Jake were. Grace took a final sip of her drink, voicing her frustration as lab personnel packed up around her, "You know, they never even wanted us to succeed. They bulldozed a sacred site on purpose to trigger a response. Just fabricating this war to get what they want."

Jake chuckled, lifting his glass, "This is how it's done." Arya, picking up the Na'vi book, added with a touch of cynicism, "When people are sitting on shit that you want, you make them your enemy." Tossing the book into a box, she glanced up as Trudy burst into the room. "Quaritch is rolling the gunships. He's gonna hit Hometree," Trudy announced urgently. In response, Grace, Jake, and Arya rushed out of the room and headed for the control room.

"Dr. Augustine! You cannot be up here!" a soldier protested, attempting to remove Grace from the room. Ignoring him, she brushed him aside, making her way to Parker. "Parker, wait. Stop. These are people you're about to..." Grace was interrupted by the soldier attempting to grab her.

"I said back off!" she exclaimed, pushing the soldier away. Turning to Parker, she pleaded, "No. No, no, no, no. They're flying-bitten savages that live in a tree! All right? Look around! I don't know about you, but I see a lot of trees! They can move!"

Parker, looking at the two soldiers, nodded at them, signalling them to leave. Grace continued, "There are families in there. There are children. Babies. Are you gonna kill children?" Arya appealed to Parker, "You don't want that kind of blood on your hands. Believe me. Just let me try to talk them out. They trust me."

"Calibrate fast. We're going in, right now," Grace announced, urgency in her voice. She, Jake, and Arya followed closely behind her as they headed towards their unit. Arya swiftly took off her leg, laid down, and placed the chest piece on, preparing for the link. Before she could fully connect, Parker approached and spoke to her with a stern tone, "Listen to me. You've got one hour. Unless you want your boyfriend in there when the ax comes down, you get them to evacuate. One hour." With those ominous words hanging in the air, Parker closed the lid of the link interface. Arya closed her eyes, bracing herself for the neural connection, allowing the link to happen.

Neytan rushed down the stairs with Arya, Jake, and Grace following closely behind. Catching the attention of his parents, Neytan addressed them urgently, "Father! Mother!" Arya interjected, "Eytukan, I have something to say." Grace added, "Listen!" Eytukan nodded, granting Arya permission to speak, "Speak, AryaMiller."

"A great evil is upon us... The Sky People are coming... to destroy Hometree," Arya explained hastily, trying to find the right words. The warriors gathered around, and Arya turned to Neytan, urging him to convey the message, "Look, tell them they're gonna be here soon." Neytan translated for his people, "You have to leave, or you're gonna die." Arya stressed the urgency of the situation. Mo'at inquired, "Are you certain of this?"

Arya took a deep breath and replied, "Look, they sent Jake and me here to learn your ways so one day we could bring this message and that you would believe it." Neytan placed his hand on Arya's arm, turning to her with a pained expression, "What are you saying, Arya? You knew this would happen?" Sorrow filled Arya's eyes as she looked at Neytan, "Yes, but I never wanted this to happen. Look, at first, it was just orders, and then everything changed. Okay? I fell in love. I fell in love with the forest and with the Omaticaya people. And with you."

Arya placed her hands on Neytan's arms, trying to reassure him. Tears welled up in Neytan's eyes as he looked away, "I trusted you. I trusted you!" Removing her hands, he expressed betrayal, "Trust me now, please."

Arya pleaded through her own tears as Neytan shouted at her in their language. Heartbroken, he pushed her away, declaring, "You will never be one of The People!" Arya's tears fell, and her heart shattered. Grace attempted to explain, "We tried to stop them!" but Neytan shouted at her in their language. Arya continued pleading as her voice broke, "Neytan, please! Please." He shook his head and walked away from her. Eytukan, with anger in his voice, commanded, "Bind them." Tsu'tey and a Na'vi warrior restrained Arya on her knees, mirroring the fate of Jake and Grace. The Na'vi warriors cheered as Arya looked defeated and heartbroken.

As the RDA fleet soared over the lush forest of Pandora toward their target, a pilot reported, "Time on target, one mike." Another replied, "Copy. We have a visual." In the main aircraft, a pilot confirmed with Quaritch standing behind him, "Roger that. Stay on heading 030." Another pilot echoed, "Roger, 030."

The fleet continued its trajectory toward Hometree, where Jake, Grace, and Arya were bound outside, surrounded by Na'vi warriors prepared to defend their home. As the ominous sound of the approaching aircrafts reached them, Jake, Grace, and Arya shouted in Na'vi, desperately trying to warn their people. Arya, with urgency in her voice, screamed, "Run to the forest!" Grace added, "They're coming!" Jake warned, "They will destroy this place." Ignoring the pleas, Neytan gazed up towards the sky, and a Na'vi warrior spotted the approaching RDA, raising the alarm. Arya screamed again, "Run!" However, Tsu'tey reassured his people, "Have no fear," disregarding the warning.

Despite Arya's frantic pleas, Eytukan ordered Tsu'tey to take the ikran and attack from above. The RDA, led by Quaritch, observed the massive tree on their monitors, and Quaritch commented, "That is one big damn tree." Zooming in on the screen, he noticed Arya, Jake, and Grace held hostage by Na'vi warriors.

"Well, well, well. I'd say diplomacy has failed," Quaritch remarked before issuing the order, "All right, people, let's get this done! I want every gas round you got right in the front door." The pilot prepared to fire gas rounds into the Hometree entrance, causing chaos and distress among the Na'vi. As the archers futilely fired arrows at the main aircraft, the RDA retaliated by launching rockets that set the tree ablaze. Arya, witnessing the destruction of the sacred home, shouted in despair. "No!" Eytukan ordered his people to retreat to the forest, and Neytan, torn between duty and Arya, hesitated but ultimately ran away, leaving her behind.

Arya desperately called out to Neytan, but he ignored her, and the RDA focused on their destructive mission. "We gotta move! He's gonna blow the columns!" Jake shouted as they struggled against their bindings. Eytukan directed his son to a safe place, and as Neytan left, Eytukan aided a wounded Na'vi.

Amid the chaos, Mo'at approached Arya, tears in her eyes, holding a knife. With desperation, she placed the blade against Arya's throat. Grace cried out, "Mo'at, no!" Mo'at pleaded with Arya, "If you are one of us, help us." With a swift cut, she freed Arya, and together they hurried away, leaving the devastation behind.

The RDA forces formed a line, facing the towering Hometree. "All call signs, switch missiles. Give me HE's at the base of the west columns," Quaritch ordered, his command cutting through the chaos. Turdy and the other pilots prepared for the assault, gearing up for the destructive task at hand.

Amidst the turmoil, Arya took charge, urging, "This way!" She sprinted ahead, with the three others following closely behind. Many Na'vi people fled alongside them, desperately seeking refuge from the impending devastation. As fire and smoke engulfed the surroundings, the urgency of their escape became all the more evident.

"Rider section, switch missiles," came the call, emphasizing the shift to more potent weaponry for the impending assault. The air crackled with tension as the RDA forces geared up for the ruthless attack on the sacred Hometree.

"One's good."

"Two's rocks up."

"Three's up."

Lyle's exuberant screams filled the air as he eagerly waited for Trudy to get ready so he could unleash the machine gun. "Yeah, baby, get some!" he exclaimed with excitement. However, Trudy's expression remained solemn as she looked down, a sense of gravity overtaking the moment. "Charlies Oscar, Gunrunner standing by," a pilot reported before Quaritch issued the chilling command, "Bring it down. Cleared hot." With that, the missiles were unleashed, hurtling towards the sacred Hometree. The impact sent shockwaves through the area, and Arya was pushed back by the force.

Quickly recovering, she got up and assisted Grace over a fallen log. "Come on, Grace, move!" Arya urged, her voice urgent. Jake rushed to help Mo'at, guiding her to safety. "Down! Head down!" she screamed, seeking cover as more missiles streaked through the sky. Jake and Arya shielded the two women, ensuring they weren't harmed by the explosive blast.

Meanwhile, Neytan and others were not as fortunate. Hit by the impact, they fell forward, and Neytan managed to evade the worst of it, grunting as he moved just in time to avoid a burning tree branch that crashed down beside him. The air was filled with chaos and the destruction of the once-sacred Hometree.

"Solid hits."

"Solid rocks on target."

"Screw this," Trudy declared, shaking her head in disbelief as she ascended into the air. Lyle shouted in protest, "Hey! What the hell are you doing?" They turned away, flying in retreat from the catastrophic destruction unfolding below. "I didn't sign up for this shit!" Trudy exclaimed as they distanced themselves from the devastation. Meanwhile, a barrage of missiles continued to rain down, transforming the once-thriving Hometree into a scene of fire and destruction. As the missiles struck, parts of the tree's bark flew through the air, piercing through Na'vi in their path, including Eytukan.

Arya and Jake shielded the women from the flying debris as Neytan, who had managed to stand, looked up in horror at the fiery blaze. Arya rose and stared at the Hometree as leaves fell around them. The roots snapped, and the colossal tree began its descent. In desperation, Arya hurried Mo'at and Grace, with Jake following closely. "Go! Go! Go!" Arya urged, helping Mo'at while Jake assisted Grace.

Neytan, overcome with grief, looked at the falling tree with tears streaming down his face. Arya, Grace, Mo'at, and Jake managed to evade the collapsing branches. Neytan, after ducking down, ran to escape the falling debris. The people scattered, desperately trying to avoid the branches.

"Come on! Come on, move! Move!" Jake exclaimed, guiding the group out of harm's way. They sprinted just in time as the Hometree made its final contact with the ground. Neytan, standing amidst the destruction, gazed with profound sorrow at the remnants of his home. The cries of agony from the people echoed through the air as they mourned the loss of their home and loved ones. Arya, her eyes filled with anger and sorrow, scanned the scene for the departing RDA forces. The aircraft flew back to HQ, leaving the devastation behind and the Na'vi people grappling with the ruins of their once-harmonious home.

"Father!" Neytan's desperate cry echoed through the chaos as he sprinted, searching for Eytukan. His eyes fell upon the heartbreaking scene of his father lying down, a piece of bark piercing his stomach. Neytan knelt beside him, turning Eytukan around to face him, tears streaming down his face. "Father! Wakey, wakey," Neytan pleaded, his voice cracking with grief. Eytukan, in his final moments, whispered with a weakened breath, "Son... take... my... bow. Protect The People. You... are... Olo'eyktan now." With those words, Eytukan's life slipped away, leaving Neytan alone with the weight of leadership thrust upon him. Neytan clutched the bow tightly, crying out for his departed father.

Arya, in her frantic search for Neytan, called out his name, and her heart sank as she found him sitting beside his father. Tears welled up in her eyes as she slowly crouched down next to Neytan, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry," she whispered softly, sharing in his grief.

Neytan, consumed by sorrow and anger, pushed Arya away when she tried to console him. "Get away. Get away!" he screamed, his pain turning into frustration. As Arya stood up and stepped back, he continued, "Get away from here!" Pushing her aside with the bow, Neytan's anguish transformed into a demand. "Never come back!" he shouted, collapsing beside his father, tears streaming down his face. Arya, solemn and heartbroken, looked down for a moment before turning away, leaving Neytan to mourn in solitude.

Parker, witnessing the destruction unfold on the monitors alongside a group of onlookers, made a callous decision. Turning to a soldier, he ordered, "Pull the plug." The female soldier nodded and, accompanied by others, went to the control unit. Norm, sensing the impending danger, tried to intervene and threw a punch, but he was swiftly restrained.

Ignoring Norm's desperate attempt, the soldier pressed the ominous red button, causing Grace to collapse unconscious, with Jake following suit. Na'vi, witnessing the distressing scene, rushed to offer aid, but the soldiers intervened once again. Another soldier activated Arya's unit, making her body collapse in the already devastated surroundings.

I was a warrior who dreamed she could bring peace. Sooner or later, though, you always have to wake up.

As they opened Arya's unit, she found herself in a daze. The soldiers picked her up, and a tied-up Norm screamed, "Put her down!" Grace and Jake, held tightly, continued to struggle against their captors. Grace screamed at Parker, "You murderer!" The captives fought desperately to break free, but their efforts were in vain.

Meanwhile, Neytan led the survivors of his people to a safer place, away from the wreckage. As he looked around to see the ruins of his once-thriving home, he felt a profound sense of loss. Eventually, he turned back, resolute in leading his people to safety.
