LUNA WAS MORE THAN SHAKEN UP. She was in shock. Yes, she has hurt people, in various ways, to be completely honest. She had kicked some in the crotch, whacked someone with a baseball bat (someone meaning Phil), slapped people so hard, her hand left a print on their cheek, bashed someone with a guitar and forced him to pay for it, strangled someone with a rope from gym class.

But never has she murdered someone. And never did she think she will be at eighteen years old, or at all, for that matter. She never thought she'd be ripping Jeremy's arms off his shoulders and toss them aside as if it were nothing. She never thought she'd be beheading him and smashing his cold hard head into tiny little pieces with a huge rock.

She was so caught up in her anger towards Jeremy. She wanted to avenge herself so much. But it seemed like nothing was enough to satisfy herself that she even tried to turn Jeremy's decapitated head into dust because of her repetitive smashing.

Because of her going into shock, Jasper decided to take Luna home early, not being able to face the Volturi. Though, they were informed of what happened.

Speaking of Jeremy's body, the Cullens have figured out a way for Jeremy's case with the police to finally close without too many questions asked. They fabricated a scene in the woods before the welcome sign of Forks. Emmett stole and drove Jeremy's car into the woods, crashing it into a tree trunk to make it seem like an accident just happened.

Then Valerie offered to be the witness who saw the scene and called in a few friends of hers to play pretend as cops. They took care of the fake investigation of the accident and then called in Dr. Carlisle Cullen for the examination of Jeremy's body.

Knowing that the Cullens couldn't exactly let his parents or anyone see what Luna had done to his non-existent face, Carlisle suggested a closed casket for the wake because of how horrible the damage was, he was unrecognizable. That way, there won't be any questions about why his freaking head is missing.

So with that, the case is closed and Charlie was more than happy to get Jeremy's files out of the house.

It took Luna days before she got over the Jeremy thing. Jasper would be accompanying her while she sleeps as usual. She would visit Jacob and the pack to hang out with them, since surprisingly, Luna had grown fond of them. Even Paul had started to like Luna, but he won't say that out loud, of course.

Bella was busy being hogged by Alice for the preparation of her wedding. Jacob refused to see Bella after he had received the wedding invitation that has the names "Isabella Marie Swan" and "Edward Anthony Masen Cullen" written in a big fancy font.

Luna had worked things out with Bella about the whole engagement thing. But she still didn't approve of her simply ditching Charlie. It wasn't right, according to Luna.

To say that Charlie became the most stunned person on the planet when Bella informed him of her engagement with Edward was an understatement. Luna even had to sing Phoebe Buffay's 'Smelly Cat' with her guitar before Charlie could finally get rid of his shocked and confused expression that he had been wearing for hours.

Weeks have gone by and the wedding of Edward and Bella is about to happen in one and a half weeks. Everything is coming together, thanks to the lovely wedding planner, Alice.

The current week has been filled with nothing but pure bliss and excitement for the bride and groom.

It took a lot of convincing before Alice finally lets Bella take a day off from all the bride preparations. Now, she's simply talking to Luna while in her bedroom.

"I can't believe it's near." Luna stated as the twins laid on Luna's bed.

Bella was about to answer when her phone suddenly rang.

"Hold on." Bella told Luna before taking the phone out of her pocket.

Alice's name lit up the screen and Bella sighed deeply before answering the call, not bothering to put it on speaker mode since Luna still has her enhanced hearing.

"What's up, Alice?" Bella asked, even though she knew why Alice called. Of course, something wedding-related.

"I'm just checking to see if you're still up this late. And you are. What are you doing? I told you to get some rest. We have a strict schedule tomorrow. We need to rehearse walking down the aisle in your heels. I can't have you tripping down the aisle. You could get hurt, or worse...you could rip the dress!" Alice rambled.

Luna couldn't hide the laugh that erupted from her throat, earning an eye roll from Bella.

"Alice, you really need to sort out your priorities." Bella told her.

"My priority right now is to get the bride to listen to me. Now go to bed." Alice replied.

Bella was about to respond but Luna took it upon herself to chime into the conversation.

"Technically, she is on a bed." Luna said, which was actually true. Bella is lying on a bed.

"Luna, I'll tell Jasper that you plan on buying yourselves cowboy and cowgirl costumes for Halloween." Alice told Luna.

Alice's response caused Luna to do a fake gasp. "You wouldn't!"

"I would."

"Ooh, you play dirty, Alice Cullen!"

"I learned from the best."

"Okay now, bye, Alice." Bella interrupted, figuring out that the conversation would last longer if the two keep at it.

"Bye, Bella! Bye, Luna!" The twins heard Emmett say in the background, causing the two to smile widely.

"Bye, bloodsuckers. Oh wait--" Luna said. "I feel bad for calling you guys 'bloodsuckers'. So, I'm gonna stop. Anyway, later, leeches."

Bella shook her head as a playful smile lingered on her lips before hanging up the call.

"You know, there's something that I've noticed about Luna." Alice told Emmett as she held the phone in her hand.

"What's that?" He asked.

"I just realized..." Alice said. "She's both hellfire and holy water. And the flavor you taste depends on how you treat her."

The statement made Rosalie, who sat next to Emmett, look at the pixie-haired girl with furrowed eyebrows.

"Have you even met Luna? She's pure hellfire to everyone, good or bad. The only time she's holy water is when she's with Jasper." Rosalie said.

Everyone nodded and agreed with Rosalie, Jasper smirking at what she said while Alice playfully rolled her eyes.

Alice returned her phone back to her pocket and decided to prepare the rest of the reception when the whole family smelled a familiar scent coming from the doorway.

"Jackie?" Alice muttered to herself before speeding towards the front door.

Alice immediately opened it and it revealed a disoriented Jackie on the other side of the door. Her face was damp with sweat and tears. Her clothes were stained with dirt. Her hair is all over the place. She was a mess.

"Jackie? W-What happened?" Alice asked her mate as she looked at her up and down, placing her hands on the short-haired brunette's damp cheeks.

"I came out to my mom...and she kicked me out." Jackie said, her voice breaking which made Alice feel physical and emotional pain.

"She said that I was already a burden being born a girl, and that being gay just made it even worse. So, she kicked me out." Jackie explained.

Tears once again streamed down Jackie's face and it broke Alice to see her mate like that. She instantly pulled the brunette into her arms and embraced her.

Jackie didn't mind the chills that ran down her spine when she made contact with Alice's freezing body. She actually found a sense of comfort in it. All she wanted to do is to be with the person who truly saw her worth.

Meanwhile, Luna and Bella continued their conversation after the phone call with Alice had ended.

"Are you nervous?" Luna asked.

Bella remained staring blankly at the ceiling, her mind filled with a lot of thoughts, which was one of the reasons why she couldn't sleep.

"Yes." Bella simply answered.

"Are you gonna back out?" Luna asked, pouting.

"No." Bella replied.

"Well, it was worth a shot." Luna said, shrugging her shoulders.

"It was more than a shot, Luna. You kept asking me if I'm going to back out for the past weeks." Bella replied.

Bella crossed her arms against her chest as the two continued to converse with one another.

"I'm just checking to see if you're having any second thoughts." Luna said.

"Well, if you're going to marry Jasper in the future, would you have second thoughts?" Bella asked.

"No!"

"Why not?"

"Because I love him!"

The words that just came out of Luna's mouth startled both the sisters. Luna's golden eyes widened into the size of saucers while she looked at the ceiling as Bella glanced at her twin with her mouth hanging slightly open.

"Did I just say that out loud?" Luna asked.

Luna turned her head towards Bella and she saw the expression on Bella's face that answered Luna's question.

"I just said it." Luna said. "I finally said it."

"You finally did." Bella could only reply.

Luna sat upright, putting her weight on her leaning left hand as she glanced at her sister.

"I love Jasper." She said.

Bella smiles genuinely as she sits upright as well, meeting Luna's surprised gaze.

"Of course, you do." Bella responded, placing a hand on top of Luna's.

"Well...I-I need to tell him. I need to tell him, right now." Luna said before she climbed out of her bed and scrambled to find her phone.

When she did, she went straight to Jasper's contact but then she stopped herself.

"Wait. I can't tell him over the phone. That's lame. I need to tell him in person." Luna said.

"Luna, it's almost midnight."

"I don't care. I love Jasper and I have to tell him."

Luna grabbed her red coat and ran out of the room and soon the house before going straight to her car, which was technically Paul's but she has it for a week when she won against him in a game of monopoly.

She threw herself in the red car and pulled away from the driveway and hit the road.

─── ❖ ── ✦ ── ❖ ───

"How are you feeling?" Esme asked Jackie as she offered her a warm cup of tea.

Jackie smiled at Esme before accepting the cup into her hands, letting its warmth comfort her as well.

After she got cleaned up, Jackie and the Cullens hung out in the living room to inform the family of Jackie's stay.

"Warmer than earlier, that's for sure." Jackie said, taking a sip from the cup.

"You can stay for as long as you like, Jackie." Edward said, a genuine smile appearing on his lips.

Jackie roamed her eyes around the faces of the family, they all held so much sincerity and respect. Rose was still having a hard time communicating with Jackie, but it doesn't that she hates her. She was past that.

"Thank you so much. I appreciate everything that you have done for me." Jackie said, the same genuine smile stretching on her lips.

"Come on, let's get you to bed so you could get some rest." Alice said as she takes the cup from her hand, taking it upon herself to hold it 'til they reach the bedroom.

Jackie simply nodded before standing up from the couch. She turned towards the rest of the family before she said her good night.

"I'll see you in the morning, I guess." Jackie said before walking away with Alice.

But there was a question that has been lingering in Carlisle's mind ever since they were informed that Jackie was kicked out. He didn't know if now was the right to ask it but it felt right.

She's mates with his adoptive daughter and he already treats her as one of his own. So, why not make it official?

"Jackie?" Carlisle said, causing Alice and Jackie to turn back to them, looking at the blonde doctor.

"Since, your mother─uhm─disowned you. I was wondering..." Carlisle said. "How would you like to be a Cullen?"

The words that echoed in Jackie's ears have made the girl freeze in her position. Her surprised brown eyes were fixated on Carlisle's sincere gold ones.

"What?" Jackie could only mutter.

Carlisle took a few steps forward towards Jackie. She still has her mouth hanging open while her head was beginning to get dizzy. Was she really that shocked?

"I mean, we already consider you as part of the family. If your mom doesn't want you, well, we do." Carlisle said.

She seemed to have a bit of trouble wrapping her head around what he just said. Her eyes wandered to all the faces of the room. Carlisle wasn't lying. Jackie could see the sincerity and the encouragement in the faces of each and everyone in the room, including Rosalie's.

What Carlisle said probably would be the most heart-melting thing anyone has ever told her. She was used to being tossed aside and treated like trash. But, Carlisle, Alice, the whole Cullen family, actually wants her to be in their family. Her.

"You're adopting me?" Jackie said.

"It's not the first time I've done it." Carlisle replied.

After she finally became successful in registering the news in her head, happy tears started to pool in her eyes as a wide smile stretched across her face.

Without a warning, Jackie suddenly ran towards Carlisle and throws her arms around his neck, pulling him into a grateful tight embrace.

"Thank you." She muttered.

Carlisle smiled and hugged back, a gesture of welcoming her to the family.

Jackie eventually pulled back and wiped the tears that have escaped her eyes and trickled down her cheeks.

"Jacqueline Cullen..." Jackie said, her eyes narrowing and her arms crossed against her chest as if she was thinking. "Not bad."

The rest of the Cullens smiled at the brunette, excited to have another person in their family.

However, the bliss that surrounded the Cullen family immediately dropped when a gasp from Alice made everyone turn to her.

Turns out, a vision played before her eyes seconds after Jackie spoke and she did not like the content of what she saw.

"Alice, what did you see?" Emmett asked.

Alice looked at the family with wide eyes, as if she was a deer in headlights.

Taking a quick look at Alice's mind, Edward shoots up from his seat with a frantic expression written all over his face.

"No." Edward muttered.

"Goddamn it. Stop with the theatrics. What is it?" Rosalie said.

Alice averted her eyes towards Jasper who slowly rose up from the couch, looking at Alice with concern and nervousness.

"Something really bad is going to happen." Alice said, clear fear was to be heard in her voice, causing Jackie to go over to her mate and hold her hand.

"Luna..." Edward said, causing Jasper to whip his head towards him at the mention of his soulmate. "She's planning on coming here and she gets into a car accident."

Jasper's eyes widened and every part of him started to burn with fear.

"What?!" Jasper shouted.

"We need to go. We only have..." Alice said, her face dropping. "...less than a minute."

Everyone in the room widened their eyes before the vampires sped out in an instant, leaving Alice and Jackie.

"Stay here. Call Bella." Alice said and Jackie nodded before Alice disappeared in front of her.

Meanwhile, Luna, with her body filled with excitement, drove rather fast down the slippery road. She was too excited to tell Jasper the words that she has been wanting to tell him for so long. She wasn't ready before to tell him. But now she was.

With her head bopping to the beat of the song 'I Write Sins Not Tragedies' by Panic! At The Disco, she almost missed her phone ringing on the passenger's seat.

She takes a quick look and sees Jasper's name on the screen.

It seemed like her face lit up at the sight of his name and she went to reach for it but instead of grabbing it, she accidentally pushed it off the seat, landing on the floor beneath the dashboard.

"What the hell? Who am I , Bella?" Luna muttered to herself as she referred to her sudden clumsiness before she reached down to get it.

Her left hand never let go of the wheel as she continued to stretch her arm towards the ringing phone.

"Gotcha." Luna mumbled when she finally got the phone. She went back to her seat and was about to answer the phone call when her eyes landed on the road ahead of her and saw a deer that just sprinted out of the woods next to the road.

Luna widened her eyes at the sight of the deer which caused her to turn the wheel to the side in order to avoid it. However, because of the constant raining in Forks, the road was too slippery that it made the car swivel around.

The tires were sliding on the wet road and Luna, with her heartbeat rising, tried to her best to keep the car steady again but out only got 'steady' when the car hit the street pole.

Luna felt like everything became in slow motion as the front of the red car made a huge collision to the pole, crushing it. She slowly went flying out of her seat, that's when she realized that she forgot to wear a seatbelt because of how excited she was. Her body flung forward, her head making contact with the glass first as it shattered before her whole body went through.

She felt like there was zero gravity in the area. The way she floated would've been soothing if it wasn't because of the unbearable pain that she could feel from her entire body.

Her whole body banged against the hood of the car. The glasses, the hood, her coat, her hair, her face were stained red from a large amount of blood. She was facing the spot where she last saw the deer. She found out it stormed off once she managed to avoid it.

Without realizing it, a tear escapes her eye, from all the indescribable pain she's feeling, the thought of Bella and Charlie who she was so worried about, the thought of the werewolves who she had become good friends with, the thought of the Cullens who gave her purpose again...the thought of never getting the chance to tell Jasper that she loves him so much.

A whimper erupted from her throat with still her mouth remained shut and her eyes continuing to shed tears. She couldn't move. She couldn't breathe. She couldn't hear anything aside from the loud ringing from the impact of the crash.

As the Cullens ran incredibly fast towards where Alice said she would be, a loud groan from Jasper was to be heard and he suddenly toppled over to the ground, grabbing the fabric on top of his chest as he felt his heartbeat starting to slow down.

"Jasper!" Edward called out, moving back to him and crouched down.

"The accident already happened. She's dying. We need to go faster!" Jasper said before he forced himself up to run.

Luna's eyesight is starting to get blurry, white spots taking over her vision. The only movement she could do was a mere lift her blood-covered finger. All she could do was exhale. There was now limited air filling her lungs.

This was unexpected. She always thought that if she's going to die, it would be at the hands of the supernatural world. Everyone, including herself, did everything to protect her from the unnatural things in this world that they forgot about the normal ones.

Out of all the dangers that Luna could potentially die in, she going to die in a car accident.

The Cullens emerged from the woods and the sight of the crashed car and a frail, bloody body resting flimsily on the hood of the car.

"Selene!" Jasper shouted at the top of his lungs as he sped over to her, the rest of the Cullens following.

All the Cullens could see was gold, black, and crimson. Her gold eyes pleading for her to be saved, her black hair a mess on top of her head, and the crimson red blood that coated her entire body.

He knelt to the ground to see her face, her disoriented face. He couldn't help but be shattered inside as he heard a few whimpers from her.

"She's lost a lot of blood." Carlisle said. "She's not gonna make it to the hospital."

Rosalie was being held by Emmett away from the scene. She had a hard time thinking straight with all the blood, which can be said as well for Alice.

Jasper simply listened as he looked at Luna with a terrified expression on his face. What made it worse is that he could also feel how scared she was.

Considering Luna couldn't hear any of them because of the excessive ringing of her ears. But there was a thought in her head she was wishing Edward could hear. And he did.

"Turn her." Edward said, causing everyone except Jasper to turn their attention towards him. "She said she wants to turn."

"Jasper, you need to turn her now." Rosalie said.

Jasper gulped, taking her hand gently into his, looking straight into her scared gold eyes.

"Everything will be alright. I promise." He whispered.

And with that, he sunk his teeth into her wrist.

─── ❖ ── ✦ ── ❖ ───

Eclipse is finished! AAAHHHH! I chose an unfortunate idea for Luna's death because it's something that they didn't expect, you know? They were focused on protecting her from the unnatural and dangerous predators that roamed the world to the point that they forgot about things like accidents.

I hope you liked this chapter! Can't wait for act three!
