Karolina is the only child and daughter of Charlotte, Princess Royal and Frederick I of Württemberg. She was a surprise for everybody especially at the last age of marriage of her mother but her family was delight at her birth. Raised in a very loving and doting home, she made trips to Great-Britain every year to visit her grands-parents and extended family wither mother and Karolina is the favourite grand-child of George due to her very adventurous temper. She is introduced with the others debutantes and her cousin in 1813 being one of the most youngest.

Only child of Karl Georg August, Hereditary Prince of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel and his wife Princess Frederica Louise of Orange-Nassau, his birth was a shock to the court but his grand-father was happy to have a heir to give the title but due to Alexandre's father who renonced to the duche to his uncle, he was enable to inherite anything. After his early father death, he was noticed by one of his cousin, Ernest Augustus who made adopted him formally to made him his heir after having to son to inherite his titles.

His mother was relieve that he is able to secure a future and send him to Great-Britain to live with Ernest Augustus who treat him like his own son with his wife. In 1812; he suffer a accident at the horror of everyone causing him to be temporary blind until the middle of 1813 which he recovered his seeing at his adopted family relief after long treatments from doctors.
