The Loss Of The Coil Will Never Cease To Astound Our Ears

"Ry?"

Ryan glanced up at Dallon whilst chewing a mouthful of popcorn letting the latter know he was listening and to continue. Dallon wouldn't lie, Ryan looked absolutely adorable like that.

They were wrapped in the blankets of Ryan's bed, sat in the corner snuggling together while the TV played. For Ryan to say it was calming was an understatement. His brain felt clear from everything, and he was with one of the many people he could tolerate. —his boyfriend to be exact. Dallon. He would love for it to stay like this, for Dallon to hold him forever, but of course that wish was impossible.

"I needta tell you somethin"

Dallon tried not to let his mouth dry out as he paused the movie—well, show, Game Of Thrones to be exact—turning his body to face Ryan's. It'd be best to leave then their silence to talk about such serious matters.

"So while I was out getting popcorn I got a call...and I realized I accidentally took your phone" he started off simply, easing into the conversation as best as he could.

Ryan turned to Dallon to show that he wasn't just dazing off, but also because he wanted to know what Dallon was on about. He had a slight idea, but the chances were 50/50.

Dallon continued, "And I got a call...from the hospital" he went quiet for a few seconds, not sure how to put what he wanted to say into words. How was he supposed to tell Ryan? He'd be extremely upset. He's so young too, and he just got diagnosed with things and he's under a bunch of stress.

Ryan felt his throat tighten  It was like realization hit him straight in the balls. He wasn't surprised, how could he be? It was only a matter of time. Though, it felt so soon. Too soon, in fact. It was hard yet easy to come to the conclusion, let alone believe. Ryan knew though, he knew. He couldn't keep holding on.

"He's gone, isn't he?"
