AS GAMBIT HAD IGNORED everyone after the fight, she's been furious after that incident, she needs more time to calm herself down.

Spending time alone in the library, she would have never expected to see Regulus approach her. Silently watching as she wrote on her scroll,

"Hello, Regulus. Do you have business with me?"

"My brother..."
He paused, not be in able to bear the thought his brother had spoken to him for the first time in months, "He wants to talk to you--"

"Tell him no. I'm busy currently,"

"Sadly, I'm not an owl, you're going to have to deliver that message yourself."
He stated, eyeing the girl.

Gambit groaned quietly, hitting her head against the table.

"Calm yourself, Perryl. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about,"

"That's the point! It's not a big deal for you but it is for me. Black--"

"Regulus."

"Regulus. Regulus, this is... Confusing, alright?"
She sighed, ten fingers running through her hair.

The boy didn't know what to do, he didn't really talk to anyone else other than three people in this school.

Sitting down next to the girl, his hand gripped her shoulder--supposed in a comforting way.

"Gee, I appreciate it."

"Shut it. My brother really just wants what's best for his friends, that includes you. And now that his best friend likes--"

"Don't say that word."

Regulus rolled his eyes,
"And now, his best friend is infatuated with you, he wants you to atleast just get along."

"You know, from what I've heard, it doesn't seem like you hate your brother--"

"I despise the guy. Don't make me vomit,"
Gambit giggled, feeling alot better than before.

"You better go before it gets late. I best get going too," Regulus said goodbye, gathering his jacket as he walked off.

"No."

Sirius was caught off guard. Gambit had walked up to him and said no.

"What..?"

"I said no. You probably have some sort of deliberate plan to get me and James get together or something."
Gambit expressed her thoughts,

"That's correct. I do have a plan."
Sirius stood, slinging an arm around Gambit as they walked down the halls together.

"What if... You and James just talk to eachother and see what happens--"

"No. What if you just leave us alone..? That seems like a great plan!"
Gambit smiled bitterly.

The two looked at eachother in silence. Their patience wearing thin as they'd harden their grip on eachother.

"James is whining nonstop--"

"Well, maybe if he thinked it through more--"

"Maybe you can help him--"

"Sirius Black. James is a grown man--"

"Barely."
Sirius snorted, making Gambit sigh.

"Well, he's too old to be whining. He can sort this problem by himself and once he's ready, he can come and get me--"

"He is ready. You're the one who's avoiding him--avoiding everyone!"

Gambit sneered at him,
"That's absurd."

A week has passed.

Gambit had gotten herself in a chase of Cat and mouse. Only there was three cats after her,

"How do you always know where I am?!"
She huffed, mad at how they can locate her within minutes, even seconds.

"We have a map, love. Made it ourselves,"
Remus explained to the angry girl.

Her uniform had gotten soaked with sweat from running all over. Hair sprawled all over her face as her feet had gotten sore,

"Can we just... Save this for another time? I'm really busy today,"
Gambit pleaded,

"Not until you talk with James."

The three boys blocked the girl off, arms spread open to stop her from escaping.

"I can just hex you and no one would know.."
She muttered before giving in.

"Oh alright, fine! Take me wherever he is and I'll talk with him. Happy?"

"Very."
Peter chuckled.

The couple stood awkwardly. Not knowing what to say, feeling a bit pressured because of the time limit--James was having Quidditch practice and took a break.

Now they're in the stands, silently watching the other players fool around with eachother.

"Nice weather, huh?"

"Yeah.."
Gambit was irritated of some sort, but she resisted.

"So... What do you need to talk about that your three hound dogs chased me everyday?"

"Hound dogs? Oh, you mean my friends.. I told them to not bother you. I'm sorry about that, Gambit," He smiled back at her,

"It's alright, Potter."

Hearing Gambit say Potter was unnatural for him,
"Don't call me that. James is fine."

"Right..."

Gambit had enough of this.

"Alright. Do what Marlene said and talk it out with Lily. Don't get her hopes up over nothing, or else--"

"Or else what?"
James smirked, his palms a top of his broom as he leaned on it.

"Or else... I'll hex you."

"That'll just give you more weeks of detention," James teased, knowing Gambit and Marlene had to spend all their detention together for a month.

A small chuckle escape their lips, silence soon followed after.

"Merlin, they're so..."
Sirius shuddered, looking up at James and Gambit.

"So, so so... Awkward that it's painful to look at!"

"Then don't look," Cole suggested, earning a cackle from Sirius, saying it's fun to look.

"What's with them anyway?"
Petro asked, crossing his arms as the whole team watched.

"Love. That's what's with them," Sirius explained,

"What if I hurt Lily...?"

"Well, you'll hurt her more if you don't tell the truth,"
Gambit sighed, brushing her hair away her face as the cold air danced around them.

"And.. If I do speak with Lily, would you okay with me pursuing you?"
James asked the girl, their eyes locking together.

"I don't know, it's all up to you--"

"Well, I certainly believe that a relationship should be fifty-fifty," the brown haired boy grinned, showing off his dimples.

"You're probably not even sure about this. It's not nice to lead girls on, you know?"

"I know.. I try not to, but they just can't resist my charm--"

Gambit snorted, trying her best to contain her laughter.

"I mean, you could try. But I'm not an easy girl," She crossed her arms, looking down at the ground to see all the players watching them talk.

"Then... If you'd say yes, would that mean I'd be your first?"
He wiggled his eyebrows, earning a slight kick from the girl.

"If I say yes. That won't be easy, Potter."

"James sounds better coming out of your mouth--"

James shut his mouth seeing the girl furious.

Bringing his fingers to his mouth, he zipped it up.

His break was slowly coming to an end, as Gambit stood and said farewell.

"Goodluck with practice, James."

"I'll see you later, Gami--"

James got on his broom, about to fly down when Gambit called him again.

"Oh! James, before I forget.."

"Yes, love?"

"If you do talk it out with Lily, I'll give you until the end of the school year to make me say yes."

Gambit sped off, frantically waving him goodbye as James stayed still.

The entirety of practice was James showing off the best of his ability as he was on Cloud nine.
