I woke up in the morning and what I heard, I wasn't at all ready to hear that. I got to know I am getting married the next day.

Mukti (my sister): Bhai, get ready.

Manik: Why?

Mu: I don't know. Dad asked you to get ready. May be we are going to see a girl for you.

M (shocked): What!!! I don't want to get married.

Mukti, my younger sister is in college and I am Manik Malhotra. Currently looking after my father's business. But I am not at all interested in getting married though the reason is not that major.

Someone had told me not to fell in love nor get married.

It's Nandini. We were in relationship for almost 3 years. Nandini had asked me when we were in relationship that of we broke up, I shouldn't get married ever. That's why I don't want to get married.

I used to love her so much.

I still do.

My Nandini . . . .

I can't think of anything of else than my Nandini in the place of my bride.

Anyways I had to go to see the bride because everyone forced me. I couldn't deny dad. Though I had gone to see the girl, but I didn't see her directly. I wasn't feeling good. Because we had gone to see the girl, Nandini's house is in the same area.

My condition worsened when my parents fixed my marriage with that girl only. They didn't even ask me anything for once. I had no option left than getting married to the girl.

Nandini and my relationship started in the first year of our college. We were in the same class. At first we were just friends though I used to like her from before only. Then one day I proposed her. She also accepted. That day Nandini was so happy. I got to know that she also liked me from the beginning.  

That was the beginning of our story. We used to spend most of our time with each other. We didn't even realize when the time passed. But our love just increased with time. I couldn't think of staying away from her. Nor did Nandini could.

Now it's been five years, we are away from each other. We never had an official break up. Don't know what happened suddenly, we lost contact. I also never tried to look for her. I was waiting for her to come to me first. She was the one who used to complete me.

Now I have everything but not her to complete me fully.

Right now I am standing in the terrace puffing my cigarette. It's been long I have smoked but today I couldn't stop myself. I still haven't gone to my room though it's me wedding night nor I have seen the face with whom I got married. I don't know how I am going to spend my whole life with her. I don't even know her. It's not I am interested.

With lots of thoughts in my mind, I came in my room.

"I love someone else. Don't try to come near me," I heard the girl's voice as soon as I entered into the room.

The voice was so familiar to me. So, I asked her name.

Then what I found out, I wasn't ready at all for that. I removed the veil from her face and saw Nandini sitting on the bed. She was about to shout. Before she could do that I put my palm on her mouth to stop her from shouting badly.

M: Kisse pyaar karti ho?

N: Hein ek buddhu.

M: Kon hein woh buddhu?

N: Tum chup raho. You don't love me. You never loved me. Issiliye kisi aur sein itni asani sein shaadi karli.

M: Tum bhi toh kisi aur sein pyaar karti ho. Abhi toh kaha. Toh mera kya galti hein?

N: Mein buddhu kisko bolti hoon?

M: Mujhe kya patah.

Nandini was crying hugging me.

N: Tumhe patah hein meine tumhe kitna miss kiya. I called you so many times but couldn't reach you. I thought you don't love me anymore. You love someone else.

M: Tumne aisa socha? Don't you remember what you had told when we were in relationship? How can you think I will break my promise? Don't you trust me?

N: Forget that. You didn't propose me for marriage. Propose me now only.

I made her stand and sat in front of her on my knees, "Will you be the mother of our kids?"

"I will be," she also sat on her knees and hugged me tightly.
