The Doctor is Coming to Town - Part 5
* 3rd POV *
The Doctor pulls up his leg and places his foot on the panel to hold down a lever. He stretches his arm as far as possible and tries to hold down another knob while following the time paradox. The Weeping Angels hadn't make it easy to follow but he can do this. He hopes.
The Tardis is jolting around and the Doctor has trouble to keep all the switches in the right position. At moments like this he's remembered by the fact the Tardis is actually a ship that needs to be controlled by seven persons... Ah well, nothing he can do about that now. He grabs the monitor and pushes his glasses further upon his nose, and reads the readings of the monitor.
"Where are you?" he mumbles. Time traveling through another universe, perhaps not his greatest decision he has ever made. Something tries to keep him and the Tardis away but thanks to the Yggdrasill the Tardis possesses maximum powers. With a loud bang they shoot into the Time Vortex and with another loud noise they land. With a sigh of relief he takes his foot off of the panel and encloses the monitor with both of his hands.
'London, 1941,' it reads. He runs a hand through his brown messy hair. The lights inside the Tardis flicker and even with the extra powers of the Tree, he can't stay too long here. Otherwise she'll shut down again and then they have to go all that trouble again. He grabs his long brown trench coat and puts away his glasses. Time to find Elizabeth. He runs towards the entrance and steps outside, into London during World War II.
He knows she can't be too far away, after all the Tardis followed her. But the question is how much time have passed by, because well... Time is kind of wibbly wobbly and in this parallel universe the Tardis could have turned in the wrong way of the paradox.
The Doctor tries to place himself in her position. "Now, if I was an agent, stuck into London during the War... Where would I go?" He puts his hands in the pockets of his trousers and turns slowly around his center, taking in his surroundings. He digs in his mind, trying to remember as much as possible he knows from the comics and movies.
"If I were an agent..." he starts again and then he knows. "I would try to find SSRs headquarters in London!" He grins and spins around, and starts running in the direction of the river Thames. He can't remember where the headquarters were exactly but it was close by the MI6 and the Tower of London. He knows that much.
But before he could even make it out of the square, he bumps into someone. She utters a small scream and with an 'Oof' she falls on the ground.
"Oops, I'm so sorry. I wasn't looking where..." but then he notices who is lying on the ground, angrily muttering something about constant vigilance.
"Elizabeth? Weird, normally it doesn't go this easy..." And he grabs her hands and helps her getting back on her feet.
"Doctor?" she asks befogged. She straightens her clothes and looks at him with a slightly tilted head. "What are you doing here?"
"Rescuing you of course!" He takes out his sonic screwdriver and points it at her. "How long has it been?"
"Fourteen months and eleven days," she says without hesitation as if she has been couting the days. Which she probably has. The sonic screwdriver stops buzzing and he sees she has told the truth, she has aged since the last time he had seen her.
"Let's get you back home." And he grabs her wrist, dragging her with him to the blue police box. He snaps with his fingers and the door opens.
"But you're here, so the Angels have probably found the gap in the Void..." she indicates and the Doctor nods, setting course to the panel in the center of the control room. He knew that would have been the cost, after shutting out the Angels of the Tardis. They have seen him and probably followed him through the Time Vortex and quite possibly found the gap.
She follows him silently. "Which means they're in your universe now."
He nods again and points at a lever. "Hold that one down."
She does as he says and he switches another knob.
"Why aren't you more frightened? You could have saved your world from the Weeping Angels. I was doing a great job by the SSR, y'know. I felt more useful than I have ever been."
"Elizabeth... How did you know of the Weeping Angels?"
"Because of the series."
"Which means they were meant to go through the gap in the Void, otherwise you wouldn't have known them." With a smirk he pulls down the last lever and the Tardis starts making loud noises. She shakes her head in disbelief.
"Aren't you happy to go home?" the Doctor asks her confused.
"Of course I am."
He frowns. "You know, now I do remember you."
She fixates her eyes upon him, still holding down the lever.
"You're the SSR agent who suddenly disappeared during World War II."
She chuckles. "You're making that up."
He shrugs. "Maybe, maybe not. Well, allons-y." And the iconic noise of the Tardis starts and with sparkling eyes Elizabeth looks around her while the Tardis moves through time and space. She can't wait to see her friends again.
With a harsh smack they land and Elizabeth turns around, ready to run outside, but the Doctor holds her back. "Ho, wait. We have to go a bit back in time."
"Why? What date is it?"
"January 12th, 2016."
Elizabeth thinks for a moment. It was December 27th 2015 when they had left for Asgard. It only has been a few weeks and they can't risk making another travel through time with the Tardis. The lights are flickering more and more. "It's close enough," she reassures him and she pulls her wrist out of his grip, gives him a quick hug and starts running towards the entrance.
He smiles and strokes with his hand over the panel.
"Thank you, Doctor," Elizabeth thanks him before she opens the door and he holds up his hand and waves it away.
"Time to get back to our world," he mutters at the Tardis, and with a graceful movement he pulls down a knob. A big grin grows on his face and Tardis notices they're finally going home. With a lot of jolting and swooshing she jumps into the Time Vortex and within seconds the Doctor has detected the gap.
"Blink and you're dead... I'm going to use that," he smiles at himself. He's not exactly glad these aliens got into his universe but he knows it was meant to go this way. He moves the Tardis through the Vortex and quickly he closes the gap before something else can get through it, or escape through it... (A/N: Idea for another crossover? Marvel vs. the Daleks? xD EXTERMINATE! )
~
Elizabeth closes the door of the Tardis behind her and not long after that the sound of a key going up and down on a piano string, fills her ears and she knows the blue police box is disappearing. The Doctor is heading for his own universe once again.
She is standing in front of the Avengers Tower and she notices it is still early. The sun is only just starting to rise and she knows where she can find Steve. 12 January is a Tuesday so he would probably start his morning with a workout. Unless... She changes her mind and steps inside the building.
"Agent Hart, welcome back. I'll inform the others," Jarvis' voice greets her and she smiles. She had missed the Just A Rather Very Intelligent System.
"It's good to be back, but I would like to see Steve first. Do you know if he's training in Central Park?"
"He is."
"Thanks, Jar Jar." She snickers, finally she can use his nickname again. She turns around and holds a cab. Normally she would have driven herself but she was too excited to go grab her keys first.
After a few minutes Elizabeth has reached Central Park and she sees Steve running very hard. Soon he spots her too and starts running even faster, directly towards her, cutting off over the grass when he has the chance. He encloses her in his arms and she nuzzles her face in his neck.
She's home again.

A/N: Ah well, the ending is perhaps a bit rushed... Sorry about that. And sorry that this was kind of build around Elizabeth, next chapters shall be around yours! I promise. I'm going to start writing some flashbacks about your character's past and I'll think about something else that can happen next :)
Hope you girls liked the Doctor Who / Marvel-crossover! I know I did *grins*
Also, you may ask requests, going on a date or something, whatever you like.
And also also (Lol), what do you prefer: first POV's or third POV's? I like them both but if you have a preference let me know :)
And also also also... Nah, just kidding. ALLONS-Y!
