He grins, he could feel his power growing by the second.

They're all together now, his time has come. It is time to play a game...

He gathers all his shadows, and with a huge blast and loud noise he releases his power. Immediately all of the United States is covered into darkness, no stray of sun nor her warmth can penetrate this blackness.

And now it is time to pay the 'special' ones a visit. He let out a laugh of pure evilness, o how he loves playing games only he can win. Darkness always will prevail.

He transforms into a house-sized grey dragon and his blood red eyes soon find the Avengers' Tower. He roars even louder than thunder, and with only a few wingbeats he has reached the Tower.

Shall we play a game?

He folds his wings against his body and glass shatters all around him when he flies through the windows. Darkness will now enter this building, which won't be in their advantage. O, not at all.

Tony rolls his eyes. "So, let me get this correctly... You all have summoned this meeting because you have had strange dreams?"

"It's not like that, it is... different," Katherine answers with a small hesitation. She doesn't quite know how to explain it. It is just a feeling she has been having and it only had grown stronger when she had found out the others had had the same kind of dreams. They all have had dreams about their past the last few days.

"Do enlighten me," Tony replies bored, not entirely interested.

Skyler crosses her arms. "I'm sure if Megan was still here and had the same experience, you would have acted differently."

His eyes are spitting fire. "Leave her out of this!"

"Who's Megan?" Kathy asks curious but she is silenced by one look from the angry Tony. "Geez, I'm sorry," she mutters, leaning back on the couch and crossing her arms as well.

"She was,-"

"Still is!" Tony corrects Elizabeth.

"Sorry, is Tony's girlfriend. She's on some kind of mission," she tells Kathy who nods she understands it now.

Bruce takes off his glasses and starts to clean them. "So, you all had dreams? What's so special about that?" Unlike Tony he does sound interested and when he has polished his glasses, he looks at the girls one by one.

"I've dreamt about my past. Which is strange since I never dream about that," Iris says.

Bruce furrows his eyebrows. He wants to say something but Diamond is faster. "So have I."

"And I," Skyler adds, turning the volume of her Beats a bit lower so that she could hear better.

"Me too," Katherine says, and Elizabeth and Kathy say they had too. It stays silent for a moment while the Avengers are processing this news.

"Alright, I agree. That is indeed strange. Not the dreaming part, but it is weird you all have dreamt about the same subject," Tony says and Iris snorts.

"Yeah, no shit Sherlock. That's why we called the meeting."

"Oh careful, Iris. Steve doesn't like that kind of language," Natasha says with a grin and Steve tightens his jaw of tiresomeness.

"It just slipped out, alright... Just let it rest already."

Elizabeth chuckles but then turns serious again. "Anyways, I have the feeling something is about to happen."

And as if that is the cue, they hear a loud blast. They all snap their head to the windows, a huge dark cloud comes rolling their way in a fast speed. It is too black to be a cloud, they all doubt if it is even something natural.

"Jarvis, seal the building," Tony says, he doesn't want to get the darkness inside. Only seconds after the Tower is sealed, the black cloud has surrounded it. Luckily it doesn't get inside.

Katherine gets up from the couch and slowly walks to the window. Bucky quickly follows her and side by side they stare outside, but it is almost impossible to see something. It is even darker outside than it is at night.

"What is it?" Katherine wonders but Bucky just shrugs.

"I have no idea."

"Jarvis, run a scan," Tony demands.

"Of course, mister Stark," Jarvis answers.

Skyler jumps up from the couch and starts pacing through the room. What is happening? Her attention gets drawn to Katherine and Bucky when he suddenly pushes her out of the way.

"Take cover!" Bucky shouts and they immediately all jump up from the couch to hide somewhere behind. But Skyler just keeps staring at the window, something huge is about to hit the windows. Steve grabs her wrist and pulls her behind him just before the thing smashes through the window.

Pieces of glass fly around them and the darkness flows into the building, slowly but steady. Bucky, who had been only inches away from the opening, gets in contact with the blackness first and till everyones horror, he collapses onto the ground.

"Buck!" Katherine screams, trying to dodge the house-sized creature to get to Bucky, but she gets swung back by its tail.

It is a dragon, standing relaxed in the middle of the room. Its red eyes look around in amusement. One by one all the Avengers fall to the ground when they have inhaled the darkness. Except for the ones who all had the strange dreams. Thanks to the lights of the building they are able to see a little bit but it still is very gloomy.

"What is happening?" Diamond yells in panic, trying to wake up Pietro but nothing helps.

The dragon chuckles, it sounds like thunder in the distance, but doesn't say a thing. The ones who are still at consciousness stop trying to wake up the others. They do not dare to ask themselves if they're even still alive. They walk to each other and focus their glance upon the grey dragon who has a - well, they assumed, because it was a bit hard to interpret - huge grin on its face. It licked with his tongue over its white, long teeth.

"Who are you?" Kathy asks, trying very hard to ignore it looked like it was about to eat them.

"Oh, I go by many names," the dragon said with a deep voice and they could feel the floor vibrate beneath them. "Darkness, Shadow, Fear, Nightmare..." It hummed in itself, as if it was trying to think of something.

"But for this occasion I shall be called... Cynar."
