Chapter 10

[PRESENT]

I sighed, removing my mask and gazing out to the clear waters of Han river. It didn't really matter to me that Dongmin and I have a lot of memories here. All I wanted was to clear my mind.

It's been stressful these days. Comeback preparation, the flashbacks and dreams of Dongmin—heck, I'm surprised that I'm still sane.

I was just relaxing when a voice called behind me,

"Sojung-noona told me that I'd find you here."

I briskly turned around, wondering who said those words.

"It's you."

Dongmin smiled at me sadly, "Yes, Yein-ah. It's me."

His smile, his voice, his warmth. I missed them all.

Without thinking, I said the words that has been in my mind for quite a while now:

"I missed you."

Immediately, I clasped a hand to my mouth, embarrassed. Dongmin seemed to think otherwise, though.

Dongmin let out an amused laugh, one that I've really missed.

He leaned down, and his lips lingered from where he pressed them.

Then, he uttered four words that I never thought I'd hear from him.

"I missed you too."

I leaned my head to his chest, enjoying the warmth.

We spent a few minutes in comfortable silence until...

"YAH! Just kiss already! Both of you!" SinB yelled behind a bush.

Dongmin and I looked at each other and laughed.

Sowon popped out of the bush to and sighs, mouthing 'mianhae' to me.

Dongmin cleared his throat, and I looked at him.

"Yein-ah." He started

"Dongmin-ah." I said

We both laughed just like the old times, basking in the warmth of the sunrise.

Dongmin cleared his throat, "I'll go first. Yein-ah, I'm really, really, really sorry for hurting you all these years. I didn't mean it. Having Doyeon as my girlfriend and you leaving really made me feel empty. Doyeon...I only see her as a little sister. Not like what—"

He kept on rambling off, so I used the only option I had to shut him up.

I kissed him straight on the lips.

I could feel Dongmin kissing me back as he smiled.

I could hear our friends laughing behind the bush. SinB, laughing and Sowon unnie, cheering.

Then it rained.

Dongmin and I pulled away, still smiling.

His hand reached out for me.

"Just like the old times?"

I nodded.

"Just like the old times."

We ran away, far from our friends, far from the glaring eyes of the people.

It was just me and him. Against the world.

"A heart fluttering moment,
When rain drops fell without warning.
We held hands and ran,
On top of the messy flower road.
I’m with you."
