              MARINA leant against the sound board as her friends piled up in the L.A studio. She had already had her mother listen to the final product of the album as well as her father and a few others. She thought it'd be nice to have her L.A friends -- the Vlog Squad be the ones to hear it last before she realizes it to the public.

Everything had been signed for and press conferences were in the works, music videos have been set for filming. Some of which included the ones before her, though she had to let them first know it was one, done, and two if they'd like to participate in this new era for Marina Parker. Seeing as how they've all impacted her life in a positive way and she couldn't be more grateful for them.

It was time for a fresh start, a new era.

"So . . . what's this about?" Carly was the first to ask out of the group. She, Erin, David, Todd, Zane, Natalie, Corinna, Jeff, Matt, Heath, Jason -- their entire friend group had come all anticipating what was to happen.

"Yeah, what's up?"

Marina smiled and stood next to Mikey and Scootie who sat upon their chairs.

Victoria stood off to the side with a beaming smile.

"I called ya'll down here because . . ." She took a breath, "We finished the album." The group whistled and clapped in congratulation to the petite brunette. "I'm gonna ramble so if you don't wanna--"

"A'ight I'm out." Heath joked though he sat back down as she smiled rolling her eyes playfully at him. "Joking."

"As you and -- the entire world knows, I went through some shit this last year and I was supposed to go on tour for Sweetener, but . . . um." She cleared her throat, "Anyways, a lots happened since then. We've been writing here and there, and I was gonna go back to New York and just stay away from L.A for a bit but I met all of you guys." She said as she began to get teary eyed, the group aw'd some as well with tears in their eyes at the emotional girl before them. "I don't wanna sob right now but ya'll have helped me in ways I can't explain, and I'm -- so, so grateful for that. Ew, I'm crying." She laughed looking to Victoria who smiled softly at her.

"We'll always be here." David said with a smile, he sniffed. "Shut up." He said as everyone aw'd.

She smiled, "Anyways the album is probably the realest shit, and it's kinda like a story? I don't know believe it or not some of ya'll helped me with it alongside our team. So, um, yeah, I hope you guys like it and I don't wanna keep talking to else I'm gonna start crying like a baby and I've been crying enough these past few weeks." She giggled.

"What's it called?" Natalie asked referring to the album.

Marina looked to Victoria who looked over at the brunette, "Thank U, Next."

The girls ooh'd at this, where as the boys wore looks of confusion. Only Carly, Erin and Natalie really knew about the saying due to Victoria and Marina.

"Ooh, she's spicy." Heath called out as the all danced along to the beat.

"Wait, is that your nona?" Zane asked laughing as she nodded with a bright smile.

"This is my intro to Jeff's Barbershop, claimed." Jeff called out as they all laughed.

"I won't copyright claim you, promise." Marina smiled earning a bright smile from the man.

"Ooh, I like the beat." Todd nodded, his eyes widened at the first sentence of the song, "Oh, shit, okay."

"Marina!!" Zane exclaimed.

"A bop." Natalie nodded as Corinna, Carly and Erin nodded in agreement.

"This is too vulgar young lady." David said as Jason pointed a finger at her like a strict parent. Marina smirked and shrugged.

"Jeff, what'd you think?" Matt asked with a smirk.

Jeff stammered and nodded, "Uh, yea-- yeah, no, it's good." His voice raised earning laughs from the group, his cheeks flushed.

Everyone settled upon the more softer and dreamy sound that rang through the speakers.

"Wait-- oh no." Erin began then frowned seeing Marina fiddling with the sleeves of her coat.

Carly and Natalie looked to the red head who nodded slowly, the girls began to tear up.

"Wow." Matt whispered.

Todd glanced to Jeff who wore a sad look looking at the brunette who covered the lower half of her face with her sweater. Jeff reached out to place his hand on her shoulder but was halted as she stood up clearing her throat.

"I'm sorry, I have to use the bathroom." Marina excused herself standing up and walking out of the room.

"Marina . . ." Corinna began.

"Marina--" Jeff called out.

"It's okay." Victoria said to the group of worried friends, she followed her best friend out of the room and into the hallway.

"Oh my, God." Natalie mumbled as the vocals of Victoria and Tayla echoed throughout Marina's own. "I'm fucking crying." She laughed rubbing at her eyes.

David listened silently as the rest did as well. Once the post chorus came through, chills was sent throughout their bodies.

"Literal fucking angels." Heath said what was on their minds.

"Is she . . .?" Erin asked Mikey who sat up as both Victoria and Marina entered the room soon after the song finished. The later grasping onto a bottle of water as she rubbed at her reddened nose.

"I'm sorry, um, Scootie can you play the next one." She cleared her throat bringing her knees up to her chest as she sat next to Victoria now, Carly to her left.

Mikey nodded, "Yeah, uh, this one is In My Head."

"Doug." Victoria answered, "You guys haven't met him, I don't think." She explained softly running her fingers through Marina's hair gently.

"Wow, it fits perfectly." David noted.

"Yeah, it's weird but dope at the same time."

"SHE SAID, 'YOU LIKE MY HAIR? GEE THANKS JUST BOUGHT IT' BITCH!" Heath exclaimed as they all laughed and danced along to the song. "Own your weave girl, own it!"

"Oh, my God." Erin looked at the brunette, "Is this why--" She looked to Marina than to the rings that were placed on her's, Corinna's, Carly's and Natalie's fingers. "SHUT UP!"

Marina giggled, "Wait, you all got rings?" Jeff asked as all the girls in the room nodded showing off their left hands to the man. "What the fuck did we miss this week?"

"Do we get one too?" Zane asked flipping his non existent long hair, the group laughed as Marina shook her head. "It's fine, I can buy my own."

"What about us?" Matt asked.

"I probably got enough for two Matt, stop being greedy." Zane glared at the blonde who raised his hands in surrender.

"Kinda turned on by this, fuck." Corinna said dramatically.

"Same." Jeff muttered as they all looked at him, "I'm kidding," He said earning eye brow raises from the group. "Sarcasm."

"Play that shit back, one more time." Zane said as Mikey laughed and did as asked.

"Oh my--" Was uttered from the group.

"You just called out your exes." Todd pointed out as if it weren't obvious.

"It's a thank you." Victoria remarked with a small laugh.

Marina nodded, "There's a bonus track after this but I did want to talk to ya'll about the music video for this -- am I allowed to say that now?" Marina asked looking between her team who shrugged seeing as how she had just mentioned it.

"We're gonna be in a music video?!" Zane exclaimed, "Can I be like the hot one, yanno? I'm tired of Todd and Jeff being the hot ones."

"She's trynna promote the album not scare everyone off." David joked, the group laughed.

Marina giggled, "We've got some ideas down but I think ya'll will like it. I had a specific scene in mind for ya'll."

"We're still on for 'Break up with your girlfriend, I'm bored' right?" Jeff asked she gave him a look though it was too late.

"Wait, what?"

"HOW COME JEFF IS IN A SEPARATE ONE?"

"Because they're secretly dating." David said as the two glared at him.

"But, I can be your love interest." Zane frowned as Marina pouted at him.

"Yeah when pigs fly." Todd laughed Zane elbowed him.

"Literal children." Corinna shook her head starring at the boys who argued, the girls nodded in agreement.

"Okay . . . ya'll we got one more." Scootie informed the group that bickered over each other.

"We'll finish this later." Zane said sassily to Jeff who tried not to laugh.

Tears were shed and laughs were shared throughout the duration of the album's listening session. Marina had informed the group on some ideas she had for the music video for Thank U, Next as well as filming scheduling and also how the weeks would look like starting from here on out.

Though, they hadn't much to worry about as they only had to show up for filming when her team would send out the information for them to come on the settled date. She explained how, one of the music videos, Breathin, was set out to release in a weeks time.

Though some thought she was rushing too much and she shouldn't be so urgent with her album and also touring they kept their opinions to themselves knowing she needed this, and nothing they said would change her mind, not at this point.
