Jack carefully carries Sophie into her small bedroom, grunting softly as the girl continues to cling onto the back of his neck, refusing to let go.

He bends down slightly, laying the girl on her small bed before prying her small hands off, snickering as she yawns loudly, her missing teeth on display.

He steps back slightly, about to leave when a loud 'thump' sounds from behind him. He turns around, cringing as Sophie lays flat against the wooden floor, continuing to snore away without a care in the world.

"Sophie? Is that you?"

Baby tooth squeaks from beside Jack, her feathers peeking up as Jack quickly rushes to throw a blanket over the small girl. He stares at her for a few seconds before grabbing a stuffed toy and tossing it next to her.

"We should get back.." he mutters with a smile, Baby Tooth smiling slightly as they exit the little girls room, excited to get back to their friends as quickly as possible.

"Jack!"

A sudden voice fills the air, causing Jack to snap his neck in the direction it came from. It was a young girls voice, which confused the boy even more.

"Jack?" Another voice rings out, grasping the boys full attention. It was (Y/N)'s voice, he knew that much, but what was she doing out here, by herself?

He furrows his brows, looking to the distance before turning to Baby Tooth, an uneasy feeling filling his chest.

"That voice..I know that voice.." he mumbles, rushing forward and leaping into the air. Baby Tooth chitters loudly, hesitating for just a second before following after her friend.

...

Jack lands on a nearby roof with a grunt, looking around frantically as the small fairy finally catches up with him.

"Hello?!" He calls, breathing heavily and waiting for an answer.

"Jack!!"

His head snaps towards the woods, quickly staggering atop the roof, he flies into the air, Baby Tooth once again having to quickly follow after.

...

"Jack!" The young girl calls again as Jack springs into the woods, looking around for any persons. He comes across a clearing with a frozen lake. The lake was cold to the touch, not that Jack minded, but what bothered him was that in the middle of the lake, there lay..

A child's bed?

It was a small bed, broken and wood covered in mold. One touch and the bed would crumple to pieces. Underneath the bed there was a whole, running deep into the ground, to dark for anyone to see.

Jack hops onto the bed, using his staff, he breaks away at the frame, the wood crumpling away and falling into the dark abyss.

"..Jack?" (Y/N)'s voice softly called out, Jacks attention pulled as her voice rang through his head.

"(Y/N)?!" He yells, hoping for an answer but receives none. He sucks in a deep breath before jumping into the tunnel, Baby Tooth squealing in panic before following after.

...

He lands with a thud, recovering quickly before looking around with determination. Baby Tooth tugs on his hair, trying to push him back up the tunnel but gets swatted away.

"I have to find out what that is!" Jack pleads, moving forward and stopping dead in his tracks.

Hundreds of cages hang from the ceiling, tooth's fairies all chirping wildly as they notice the frost boy. Jack shakes his head slowly before jumping to action, jumping form one cage to the next, causing more and more squeaking from the fairies.

He quickly gushes them, "Keep it down!" He warns, trying with all his might to find a way to get them out. "I'm gonna get you out of here as soon as I-"

"Snowflake!!"

He jerks his head back at (Y/N)'s voice, gasping wildly at the nickname. His head began to ring, his eyes watering as he tries to remember why that nickname was so significant.

He leans forward against the cage, gripping the bars with his left hand as he clutches his face with his right, his knees pulled against his cheeks as he tries to force the thriving pain away.

"Jack!!" The small girls voice calls out, followed by a short laugh. Jack grunts painfully, shaking his head wildly before looking up. He leaps down from the cage, stumbling slight before regaining his balance.

He lands on a pile of capsules, Tooth's capsules. He digs through them, tossing some to the side as thousands of children stare back at him. He digs and digs, Baby Tooth's chittering echoing slightly.

...

"Looking for something, Jack?" A voice speaks up in an amused tone, slightly spitting the boys name in distaste.

Jack gasps before grabbing his staff and aiming it at Pitch, firing a blinding blue light at the man. Pitch laughs darkly, his shadow moving teasingly against the wall behind the boy, like a snake stalking its prey.

"Don't be afraid, Jack. I'm not going to hurt you.." Pitch comforts, yet his tone held a slight edge to it, as if he couldn't wait to tear the boy apart.

"Afraid?" Jack scoffs with a scowl, "I'm not afraid of you." He spits, looking around carefully.

"Maybe not.." Pitch hums, his voice bouncing from all directions. "But your afraid..of something.."

"You think so?" Jack plays along, watching the man with hatred.

"I know so!" He laughs, looking back. "It's the one thing I always know. People's greatest fears. Yours...is that no one will ever believe in you. And you'll never know why."

Jack stumbles back, his breathing hard. He yells angrily as he charges at Pitch, the man's laugh like a plague as it enters the boys ears again.

...

Jack grunts in pain as he runs into a wall, getting tossed around and around before landing on the floor, quickly grabbing his staff and continuing his pursuit.

"And worst of all, you're afraid that you'll never know why." Pitch spits with a laugh as Jack looks around with wide eyes, exclaiming as he charges again.

Jack pushes against a wall, backing up before looking around with a snarl.

"Why you were chosen to be like this." Pitch's voice suddenly drops, a snarl evident in his voice.

"And why she of all people, would ever love someone like you.."

Jack's eyes begin to burn, badly, as Pitch continues to speak. He knew it was true, why was he like this, what could the moon possibly need him to accomplish? He was just a kid with a stick! Did he ever really have a purpose in this world?

And (Y/N)! What would she think of him, knowing that he never had a role to play, knowing that maybe, just maybe, the moon had made a mistake with him. Maybe she would see him differently. Maybe she'd finally realize that he was a no good and leave.

..what if she abandoned him? What if everything they had been through meant nothing to her while it meant the world to him?

He's snapped out of his own daydream as Pitch looms over him, his shadow casting over the boy as a wicked smile danced against his lips.

"Well, fear not.." he speaks up, "For the answers to that.." he brings both his hands from behind him, two small capsules in his palms. Jack watches as Pitch grips the one in his left hand more tightly. He rubs his thumb against it, the design glowing faintly.

"Everything the both of you wanted to know." His voice lightens. "In these two little boxes."

Jack glares at the man before rushing forward and dashing away, Pitch's cackle ringing out.

"Why did you end up like this? Unseen..unable to reach out to anyone..."

Jack looks around with panicked eyes, sweat building against his skin as his skull pushes against his head.

"You want the answers so badly." Pitch teases, "You want to grab them and fly off. But your afraid, afraid of what (Y/N) and the Guardians will think."

"..you want to know, what (Y/N) was to me." Pitch softly speaks her name, like a prayer. It catches both Jack and himself off guard, but neither react to it. They stay silent for a while before he smirks.

"You're afraid of disappointing them."

Jack sighs heavily, his chest tight as his entire being shook violently. Pitch snickers as he watches.

"Well, let me ease your mind about one thing.
The Guardians will never accept you, not really." Pitch speaks calmly, his smile gone.

"And (Y/N), will never want to be with you."

"Stop it, stop it!!" Jack yells, clutching his throbbing head as he becomes a complete mess. His hair matted and stuck against his forehead as sweat runs down his cheeks.

Pitch revels at the sight. "I mean, after all..you and her aren't one of them."

Jack looks up painfully, "You have, no idea, what we are."

He shakes his head, yelling once more as he charges at Pitch. The man rolls his eyes before scoffing.

"Of course I do!" He yells, "Your Jack Frost and Horae, she's the embodiment of beauty while you bring a mess wherever you go!" He laughs loudly, an uneasy smirk on his face.

"Why! Your doing it right now!" He snickers, tossing both capsules to the boy without a care. Jack catches them quickly, looking down before gasping.

"What did you do..?" He breaths out, his eyes wide with horror. Pitch just smiles innocently.

"More to the point Jack, what did you do?" He questions, backing away into the shadows, his devilish smile the last thing that Jack sees before he disappears.

Jack yells as he chases after the man, his staff glowing a faint blue whenever he passes through a dark ally. He continues to miss Pitch, his anger only growing.

"Baby Tooth!" He realizes, smacking the wall with wide eyes.

"Happy Easter, Jack.."

The boy looks up, gasping faintly as he takes in the sight of countless, countless of smashed eggs. He shakes his head before looking down, his entire person crumbling to the ground as he takes in the sight.

At his feet, lay a wilted tulip.

...

Bunny and (Y/N) nervously watch from the bushes, their shoulders brushing as they watch kids loose hope in a non successful egg hunt.

(Y/N) looks up, her eyes growing dim as she watches mold grows against her trees, her power slowly fading by the minute. It wasnet like she could just willingly change the season, her power didn't just come freely.

It came from belief, the children's beliefs in the Easter Bunny and all the joy he brought, that's why she and Bunnymud made a good team.

But watching all these disheartened kids loose hope in such a joyous occasion, she wasent just weak.

She was enraged.

Why hadn't the eggs made it to the surface? Why was this happening? She was loosing her powers, her life, so what I'm the world had happened?

And where the bloody hell was Jack?!

"There aren't any eggs.." the sound of the disappointed kids brought her back as she watches them hang their heads.

"There's nothing here.." a small girl pouts, kicking her leg slightly in disappointment.

"I give up.."

Bunny straightens up as he listens in, his ears flickering violently as he starts to make his way out of the bushes. (Y/N) dosent have the strength to stop him, so why bother? She knew what was going to happen, she just didn't want to watch.

She turns around with a groan, her back hunched against the bush as she turns away, pulling her knees to her chest with a sigh.

Tooth comes up next to her, the fairy wrapping an arm around her friends waist as she allows (Y/N) to slump against her form.

"Kids! Hey!" Bunny calls out, jumping infront of the kids. "Yes there is, there is!" He shows off his basket, presenting an egg with a nervous smile. "I mean, these aren't my best looking googies, but they'll do in a pinch!"

"I don't believe it.." the little girl speaks up, seeming to look up at Bunnymud, causing a small flicker of hope to ignite in his chest.

"I know.." he laughs nervously, scratching his neck as he goes to speak again but gets cut off.

"There's no such thing as the Easter Bunny.."

And just like that, the small flame gets blown out by that small sentence. That small sentence causes Bunny's whole world to collapse, his entire form to break greatly.

The kids begin to leave, causing him to panic, "Wrong! Not true! I'm right in front of you, mate!" He calls desperately, only to be pushed back into shock.

The kids walk threw him. They couldn't see him.

"They don't see me.." he realizes, panting harshly. "They don't see me.." (Y/N) stumbles out of the bush with a sigh, her form sluggish as she stumbles into the rabbits form without a care.

She wraps her arms around him, tightly, as she breaths in deep. No words are exchanged as Bunnymud clutches onto his friend desperately, his breathing uneven as his fur stand on end.

(Y/N) slowly brings a hand up and rubs her palm against his back, the rabbit flinching before relaxing at touch.

"Jack!" Tooth suddenly calls out, both (Y/N) and Bunny looking back as the boy emerges from the woods, his face sunken and tired.

Tooth stumbles to her feet, racing to the boy as North follows after. "Where have you been?" The Russian asks, watching the boy with unease.

(Y/N) slowly lets go of Bunny, gently patting his arm before limping towards her friend. Jack greets Tooth quickly before facing towards his friend, watching helplessly as her body slumps against his.

She wraps an arm around him, humming softly at the feeling before scrunching her nose as she feels a cold metal push against her side.

She pulls away abruptly, her eyes widening at the sight of the two capsules in the boys grasp. She gasps, her breathing slowly becoming uneven.

"Where did you get that?" She mumbles, backing away from the boy. Jack watches her with a heartbroken look, as she comes to stand by North's side.

"Where's Baby Tooth?" Tooth questions desperately, searching frantically for her little helper.

The boy looks down helplessly as North glares harshly at him. "That's why you weren't here?" He snarls, "You were with Pitch?!" He yells, his voice booming. (Y/N) shakes her head in disbelief, staring at the small capsule with her face on it.

"No, listen, listen!" Jack sighs heavily as he stuffs the capsules into his hoodie pocket.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen!"

"Jack.." (Y/N) mumbles, the boy looking to her for help. "Wha-what happened-" she cut off as Bunny speaks up, hurt evident in his voice.

"He needs to go."

(Y/N) looks to her friend with a raised brow, "Hey! Hold on-" she couldn't get a word in as the rabbit speaks up once again.

"We should never have trusted you!" He yells angrily, his form becoming menacing as he spits in Jacks face. The boy staggers back with fear, his face holding a thousand apologies.

"Easter and Spring, are new beginnings, new life. It's about hope, and now it's gone." He sighs heavily, gesturing between himself and (Y/N). Jack looks to his friend, but all he sees in her eyes is disappointment, disappointment in him.

She reaches towards him weakly, but fails short as her friend backs away quickly before jumping into the air and taking off with the capsules. North calls out, but it falls onto deaf ears as they watch the Russians small doll fall to the grown, it's little face caked in dirt.

(Y/N) watches helplessly as her friend grows smaller and smaller. She turns around and limps towards the woods, none of her friends noticing as she backs up against a tree, breathing in deep before looking to the sky.

The wind suddenly picks up, softly brushing against the girls cheek in a soothing manner, causing her to smile gently at the feeling.

"Hey wind..take me to Jack."
