[CHAPTER 08]

8| Friends get into trouble and we have to help them

Aera groans, slumping in her chair. Everything was so boring. "This lecture is boring, the students, Mr. Jung, Jungjerk—this whole universe is boring except for Jennie and me and my favorite idols and some animes.....and my favorite authors." She mumbles to herself, getting the attention of a particular person.

"Look at her, she's crazy. She talks to herself." Jungkook whispers to Taehyung who was engrossed in the lecture, completely ignoring Jungkook's whispers and groans that he will let out occasionally because of boredom. She shakes her head feeling sorry for the poor boy.

"Poor Taehyung got stuck with dumbhead." Taehyung nods, tired expression etched on his face because of Jungkook's continued whispers and cursing at the teacher. He just wanted to listen to the lecture.

"Sit with Jungkook it will be fun—they said." Taehyung sighed, on the verge of crying. He wanted to study, unlike these stupid dorks.

"He even responded to this. Jungkook you should not annoy him."

"You should mind your own business." He remarks, crossing his arms on the desk and laying his head on them. "Please Jungkook and Aera, leave me alone!!" Taehyung pleaded, his expression was funny—so funny that it made them chuckle but the chuckle soon turned into a frown when Aera processed the words in her mind.

"What?! I'm not even doing anything!" She claims, feeling offended by his statement. Jungkook smirked at her. "Ha! Serves you right. You should have minded your business. You always poke your nose in everyone's business."

Aera brows rise to mount Everest, feeling a strong urge to smash Jungkook's head on the desk. "Shut up." She said rolling her eyes. "Tsk. Look at you, I don't even do anything and make you roll your eyes–" he pokes his tongue at the corner of his lips. A teasing grin stretching over his mouth.

Pulling the flirty expression he makes to lure girls into his trap—a trap where you fall and you're not allowed to leave, even if you want, your heart doesn't allow it and that's the trap Aera fell in.

"–what will happen if I did something." Her eyes widen, and a gasp leaves her mouth.

"Who allowed you to flirt with me?! You unholy dirty piece of garbage. I will tell your mom....you wait. You will get a good beating." She says, ignoring the beating organ which was beating at a fast pace. Her blood rushed to her face and she looks to her right, calming down the burning of her face, avoiding Jungkook's stares.

Taehyung looks between them. He looks at his front and again between the, gulping at the sight in front of him. "Jungkook and Aera!" He whispers to them, not making it obvious. They both turn their head at him, shooting daggers at him. "What?" They both questioned at the same time, raising their brows. He doesn't say anything in return but points at the front, his head low.

They turn their head at the front to get startled by Mr. Jung staring between them with raised brows. "Mr Jung and Ms. Aera, It's not allowed to speak in my class." He claims, glaring at both of them. "And–" he directs his gaze at Taehyung

"–You...the new student!" Taehyung looks upwards in bafflement. He points at himself, squinting his eyes slightly. "Yeah, you! Why you were talking?" Taehyung eyes enlarge. He shakes his head immediately denying it. "I wasn't talking!" He claims, defending himself. After all, he was the innocent here.

Mr Jung scoffs, shaking his head. "Then what were you doing? Was it your ghost?" Jungkook snickers, hiding his mouth with his hand. Trying to cover it with his fake cough. "Sir I–" Mr. Jung raises his hand stopping him in the middle of the sentence.

"Lunch detention for both of you and also another detention." He points at Jungkook and Aera. The words tiredly rolled out of his tongue. He was tired of both of them. "And...you too."

They both groans when food gets in between their detention.

The bell rings getting the attention of the students. They all hurriedly run to the cafeteria, not caring if they will fall flat on their asses. They were hungry and when they're  are starving, they can even kill a person just to get something to eat.

Everyone was happy except for the trio who was stuck in detention—well, Taehyung was allowed to go to the cafeteria but the word detention took his breath away.

Taking a long inhale he went towards Mr. Jung who was looking at some exams. Mr Jung gazed upwards to find the student hesitating. "What's wrong?" He questioned with a stoic face.

Taehyung was annoyed by the fact that he got detention because of the duo and it wasn't even his fault. He wanted to tell everything but something was not feeling right. He was hesitating to roll the words out of his mouth.

Mr Jung raised his brows, encouraging him to speak. He opens his mouth but his gaze went towards the two of them who were fighting with each other for a pencil. He looked back at Mr Jung.

Pushing his round glasses back, he dared to let the words slip out of his mouth. "Sir, I apologize but can you please let them two go into the cafeteria? They must be hungry." He pleaded, showing his infamous charm; The puppy eyes.

Everyone's cold heart melts like ice by starting at those puppy eyes. This was the charm of the nerdy student. He could manipulate everyone with his cute charms. Mr Jung squinted his eyes at the student.

"What are you trying to do?

"Helping my—" He again rolled his neck towards them. This time they were talking and—not fighting with hands. A soft smile tugged his lips. "Classmates for now." Mr Jung chuckled in disbelief. "They were the ones who got you in trouble."

"That doesn't matter. Friends get into trouble and we have to help them. They already have detention so, I think it would be harsh not to let them have lunch." Mr Jung sighs, patting his back.

"You're a good one—" He smiled at him. "–So I suggest you stay away from them." He nods while smiling at Taehyung. Taehyung sighed nodding. "Thank you so much!" Mr Jung nods, getting shy from the student's continued bows and thank you's.

"Aera ! Jungkook!" They both flinched, stopping their quarreling.

"I didn't start it—"

"No! she was the one who pulled my hair! I swear—" She stomped on his foot, smiling nervously. "Sir, I'm just a cute little girl. You believe me right—" Mr Jung raised his finger stopping them. "Did I ask who did what?" They both shake their head.

"Go to the cafeteria before I—" before Mr Jung could complete the sentence they both were gone like no one was even there. Me Jung chuckled, shaking his head. "These kids!" Taehyung once again bowed and left for the cafeteria too.
