After escaping through the hole that Guy had made, the three former captured assassins took a breather, now in a room by themselves. Going into "unique" places on their persons, they took out a medicine they used and popped them into their mouths, chewing it as it would kick in soon.

Gin: (stands up) "Now we can fight! Should we go back and take him all together?"

Natala: "We should wait. The enemy's probably on the move."

Kurome: "We have to warn the others about that technique we just witnessed." (thoughts) 'That guy, he was dominating and hadn't taken any hits...but, suddenly, it was like he'd taken a massive blow to the head...'

With Akira, Akame, and Green

Green: "Sidewinder! Take that!"

The spectacled teen of the Elite Seven thwips and thrashes his whip around, attacking Jamo. The Gravekeeper kept a smug grin on his face as squid tentacles emerge from his sides. Jamo also thwips and thrashes his tentacles around, his attacks matching Green's as the two's attacks kept blocking each other.

Jamo: "When Uncle Jamo is fired up, this is what you get! I'll get nearer and nearer to you...and make you food for my tentacles!"

Green: (thoughts) 'Not good. I've got to hurry up and give Akira and Akame some back up.'

With the other two assassins, Weneg was dashing all around. He leapt off a wall, barreling towards Akira and Akame.

Weneg: "I'll rip you apart!"

The leader of the Gravekeeper's launches his arm, using it to chop Akame. With his strength, it shouldn't be too difficult. The red-eyed girl responds by slashing her blade upwards, but it was blocked by Weneg's forearm. The two were now locked in a clash, Akira aiming Prometheus to see if he could get a clear shot.

But with how fast Akame and Weneg were moving, he couldn't get one. Even if he uses the Shingu's special ability of controlling it's trajectory, there was still a chance he could hit the girl.

Akame: (thoughts) 'He's built like that last guy, but his speed's on a whole other level...! Not even Akira can move this fast!'

Weneg: "You're strong. I'm almost tempted to make you my wife, but I already have someone I'm committed to!"

Hearing the word "wife" leave Weneg's mouth made Akira's eye twitch. In doing so, he pulled the trigger, using the ability and aiming it's trajectory. Although it was just a blind shot, Akira got lucky, the bullet aimed and hitting Weneg's leg, causing him to jump back while Akame regrouped with the icy blue-eyed teen.

But Akame was confused. What did Weneg mean when he had someone to commit to? Before the two could react, Weneg had dashed forward at high speeds, raising his hand and slamming it down. The two narrowly dodged it, Weneg's nails just grazing their cheeks as blood dripped from it. Green took his eyes of Jamo and looked to his two teammates, seeing what happened.

Green: "Akame! Akira!"

He thwips his whip to attack Weneg, but he had forgotten about Jamo, who was very close to him, the Gravekeeper taking his opening.

Jamo: "Fool! What're you doing, ignoring your opponent like that!?"

Green: (grin) "You fell for it."

Jamo was confused and looked back to Green's whip, his eyes widening in shock. Green's whip didn't go straight for Jamo, instead turning itself around and wrapping around Jamo's body.

Jamo: "Wha...!? Your whip came from the side!?"

Green: "He was never my target. My goal was...! To catch me a squid!"

Green's whip Shingu, Sidewinder, is able to lash into any direction it's user desires. However, using this whip required great skill to use. Luckily, Green was very skilled and probably the best out of the children of the Elite Seven to use whips. Yanking his whip, Jamo flies past the glasses wearing teen, Green slamming Jamo into wall, the impact of Jamo creating a crater into it.

The squid Gravekeeper let out a grunt of pain as he was slammed against the wall, his back now against it. Because of this, he was vulnerable. Green smirks as he begins to thrash his whip, attacking Jamo repeatedly as the squid Gravekeeper begins screaming in pain.

Jamo: (thoughts) 'Uh-oh. He's gonna destroy me! That does it. I can only use it for a second, but it's my last shot...!' "Shining Uncle!"

In a second, Jamo's body flashed a bright light, causing Green to cover his eyes. Soon, it dies down.

Green: "So, you're a firefly squid!? Huh!? ...He...he got away."

Weneg: "Curse you, Jamo, you chicken shit...!"

Akame: "Now, it's three against one."

Weneg: "Is it, now!?"

Akira: "Hey...you should pay attention."

Before Weneg could unleash his attack, Akira had appeared behind him, creating two ice swords in his hands. Prometheus was in it's holster, the black haired teen thrusting it forward as the ice blades impale him from the back, Akira jumping back as Green thwips his whip towards the leader.

The sharp edge of Green's whip scratches and slices Weneg's shoulder, it being retreated back to him. But Weneg only grins, his wounds regenerating.

Weneg: "That won't work on me."

Green: (grits teeth) He can regenerate..."

Akira: "Tsk. Such a drag."

Gravekeeper: "Boss! Are you all right!?"

Weneg: (to Akira, Akame, Green) "This place is our home base. The Gravekeepers will come streaming in here eventually."

Green: (annoyed) "Kuh...!"

Akira: "Tch."

Weneg: "I don't need assistance at the moment. Just guard the passageway to prevent interruptions. I'll manage fine on my own."

Green: "Akame, Akira. What have you guys been able to figure out about this guy's abilities?"

Akira: "He still has some tricks up his sleeves. That, I can tell."

Akame: "To be honest, I don't think we have a solid reading on him."

Green: (sigh) "I see. Then figure it out quick. We don't have long."

Akame: "Green?"

Akira: "What's wrong?"

Weneg: "Here I come!"

With a menacing grin, Weneg charges at the three. Akira grunts as he places his hand on the ground, ice appearing under it as he raises up an ice wall. But this proved to be ineffective as Weneg smashes right through it. 

Green then wraps Sidewinder around his arm, the spectacled boy taking the blow of Weneg's punch. The leader of the Gravekeeper goes for another punch with his other arm, but Akira reacted quickly. With the brief amount of eye contact, Green uses another part of Sidewinder to wrap around Akira's arm, the icy blue-eyed teen blocking the other punch.

Akame: "Wait, Green, Akira...!"

Green: "This is all we've got!"

Akira: (grunts) "Use this time to figure out his weakness...!"

Weneg: "I commend you, you two!"

The leader of the Gravekeepers then unleashes an onslaught of attacks, repeatedly punching them. But the two assassins didn't waver, steadily keeping their guard up.

Green: (thoughts) 'I hate to do this, but my whip can't do anything to him...we need Akame to slice him. Akira and I will serve as her shield until she gets a read on him. It's the least we can do...!'

Finally, Weneg got through, punching Akira in the chest as he sends him crashing into a pillar. With Green, Weneg had kicked him in his stomach sending him flying.

Weneg: "This is the end of the road, four-eyes!"

Weneg causes Sidewinder to curve around his body, the whip aimed towards it's master. But Akame got in front of it, deflecting it upwards, but it was still able to scratch her shoulder. She skids along the ground and tries to get up, Weneg walking closer to her.

Weneg: "You're a foolish little girl. Your job was to observe me." (picks Akame up by her neck) "Before you die, I'll tell you one thing. Your actions wasted those boys' determination."

Akira: "Don't you touch her!"

The leader of the Gravekeepers was alarmed by Akira's sudden voice. The icy blue-eyed teen had jumped into the air, spawning several ice weapons around him. Grabbing each and everyone of them, he began to relentlessly throw them at Weneg, the leader dropping the girl and running towards Akira, dodging the thrown weapons as he goes.

As soon as Akira landed on the ground, Weneg had charged at him, reeling his fist back and thrusting it forward. Akira side steps to the side, taking Prometheus and taking a few shots into his side. Weneg grunts in slight pain, but his regeneration ability takes into effect, him going for a kick. But Akira blocks it, the blow of the kick sending him back. The boy skids backwards, him recovering as he leaps to a pillar, Weneg lunging forward as he tried to grab him. Akira then leaps off the pillar he was on, creating three ice daggers and quickly throwing them, which they embedded themselves into Weneg's back.

Weneg growls in annoyance, quickly turning around and grabbing Akira's leg. Akira didn't have time to react, Weneg bringing him to the other side as he roared, slamming Akira into the ground. The icy blue-eyed teen coughed up blood, Akame watching her partner in horror. Because of her actions, she left Akira to take him on alone. She then notices in the back, Kurome killing the two Gravekeepers that were once up there.

Kurome: "Sister...!?"

Weneg: "Now. Let me hear your death cry..."

Akame turns back to her partner, seeing Weneg holding him by the neck when she was in that position. Akira had grabbed Weneg's arm with one hand, his other having an ice sword. Akira goes to thrust it through Weneg in an attempt to kill him, but Weneg found it obvious, him turning the ice blade around and plunging it through Akira's stomach, making him scream in pain as blood gushes from his wound.

Hearing his screams of agony reminded Akame of Akira's cries of despair when he cradled Cornelia's corpse. She knew how much that day hurt him, broke him. And here he was, trying to take Weneg on to just protect her and Green. Unknown to her, Akira solely did this to just protect her. Weneg knew that Akira's other free hand would be a problem, so he goes to grab it and render it unusable. Just as he was about to break Akira's arm, he felt a sharp pain in his side, seeing Akame with a furious glare as she drove her sword into his side.

This attack caused Weneg to drop Akira to the ground, causing Akira to cough up more blood. Weneg roared with anger and goes to attack once more, but Akame jumped and kicked him from under his chin, Akame quickly grabbing Akira and jumping to safety.

Akame: "Kurome!"

Kurome: "Sister! Just when you think you've got this guy, he can channel whatever damage he's taken into his opponent!"

Weneg: (thoughts) 'Nn!? She figured it out by just witnessing it once!?'

Kurome: "It's also what got that guy killed...the one who tried to save us."

That's when it clicked into Akame's and Akira's heads. There was only one person who had went to save the three. Guy. Akira went to stand up, completely filled with rage. But a hand was put on his shoulder, him turning his head to see Akame, the rare kind smile she had was displayed towards him.

He understood what it meant. Akira relents, sitting back down to rest. Akame on the other hand looked back up with resolute.

Akame: "If I hadn't know, I'd be a goner."

Weneg: "Hmph. Just because you know, doesn't mean you brats can handle me."

Akame: "I may be...no...I am the only one who can put you in the ground."

Weneg: "You're bluffing. At this moment, I am positive of my strength. Come. I'll prove that I have a way to defeat you."

Akame clenches her katana tighter, taking a deep breath as she stares determinedly at Weneg. With what she had found out, she knew she was the only one able to bury Weneg into the ground. All she had to do was end his life.

She had to. Everyone was counting on her.
