The uneasy nature of knowing both Bella and Honey were in danger sent the wolves in the pack on high alert. Jacob had barely left Honey's side, the blonde was constantly reassuring him that she was capable to stand her ground against Victoria but he was determined to protect her after what had happened. He wouldn't be satisfied until Victoria's body was burning to nothing but ash in the wind. Which was proven as Honey opened her eyes slowly and smiled softly at the sight of Jacob asleep with his head on her stomach, a normal position he tended to sleep when he was done with his shift of guarding the home; he would lay between her legs with his head on her stomach practically replacing the blanket with his own body warmth.

It was a sight that made Honey's heart flutter each time, she would reach down and start brushing her fingers through his hair, the action seemed to ease the tension in Jacob's body further allowing him to sleep better. Now, while it was clear that Jacob was worried about Bella, it wasn't as important to him as protecting Honey; he would often leave Embry and Jared in charge of looking after Bella when she was out and about. Honey had noticed it and would often spend extra time with Bella to ensure her full safety as while Victoria wanted to kill both of them; Bella was indeed her main target above everything else.

Honey had also come to notice that Bella's smiles had faded and she was falling back into the shell she was before her arrival, the accident with the girls seemed to have sparked back that overcast in Bella's mind leaving her shadowed. And so, the brunette's mindset broke and all she could think about was how she could see Edward again despite knowing that Honey's words were right, he was a delusion; a made up thing in her head due to her missing him. This left Honey worried which in turn seemed to affect the pack, they were more on edge and hot-tempered due to it. And Jacob was even more protective than normal, anyone could see that.

Honey gasped as she ran through the woods, her unnatural speed allowed her to glide more elegantly through the brush but she still had to be mindful of the roots and rocks as her human side was definitely more prone to clumsiness. Her breaths came out short and shallow as she just barely heard the sound of feet behind her through the rushing wind, it wasn't long until she reached the cliff edge causing her to halt in her movements, she swivelled around to face the one chasing her. Honey watched through the shadows as eyes reflected off of the moonlight before a large russet wolf stepped into her view from the brush, she smirked as he prowled closer to her.

Honey sent him a teasing wink before allowing herself to fall back off of the cliff edge into the cold rushing water below, when she broke the surface, she laughed seeing Jacob's wolf form almost pouting knowing better than to cliff jump in that form as the landing wasn't as soft as in their human forms. Honey laid her body back against the sea, her eyes fell closed as she relaxed in the cold water while it eased under the clear night sky. Honey had decided to playfully torment Jacob by sneaking out of her room and having him chase her through the woods, she knew he would scold her knowing Victoria was out there but she wasn't going to stop living because of the nomad vampire; besides, she knew he loved the chase.

Honey's silence was broken by the sound of a splash next to her, she wiped the water from her face and looked over in search of the one responsible when familiar warm arms wrapped around her and pulled her impossibly close; her back flush against Jacob's chest. "I should punish you for running off like that," Jacob's tone was husky and left a shiver pulsing through Honey's body, she bit down lightly on her lip before tilting her head to look back at Jacob. His eyes were darker, lustful even, as he stared back at her; he leaned forward and captured her lips with his own while his arms tightened around her when she moaned from the action.

Swiftly turning around, Honey wrapped her legs around Jacob's waist as they deepened the kiss, Jacob's left hand held Honey's thigh while his right hand held the back of her head in place so he could savour her lips. Though oxygen wasn't necessary for Honey, she knew that Jacob needed it though he seemed to have whined as she pulled away so both of them could get some oxygen. Honey smirked as she moved to kiss Jacob's jaw and then his neck, brushing her lips lightly across his skin causing his grip on her thigh to tighten. Honey placed a soft kiss on Jacob's collarbone, his head falling back allowing the blonde more room to kiss his soft warm skin.

"Have you spoken to Bella today?" Charlie asked Honey with furrowed brows, a slight tinge of worry in his eyes. "Uh, not today. But we watched movies while doing homework last night," Honey replied as she placed a plate of breakfast in front of the older man, "She was a little off but everyone has their good and bad days, you know that, Charlie." He nodded at her words and felt a little eased but truthfully, he was still worried about Bella as she had woken screaming early that morning and Honey hadn't been there to ease her leaving Charlie to do it; he didn't want to wake Honey knowing she had gone above and beyond for their family already. The two ate breakfast in silence and Bella came downstairs just as Honey finished washing their dishes.

"Morning, Bell," Charlie greeted, Bella sent him a tight-lipped smile before stepping up next to Honey. "Hey Bella. You okay?" Honey asked lightly, she wouldn't push the obviously exhausted teenager. "Where were you last night?" Bella asked in a low tone as Charlie got up and walked up the stairs. "I was with Jacob... we went on a midnight stroll," Honey answered her, she could remember Jacob whining about how he was annoyed that he couldn't leave Honey's skin marked with love bites due to her fast healing with bruising. "I needed you," Bella replied with a pout, Honey frowned apologetically at her best friend. "I'm sorry, Bella. I should have thought about that first," Honey replied softly with a pinch of guilt.

Bella scoffed lightly before she turned and walked away leaving Honey leaning back against the sink, maybe she had been spending too much time with Jacob and the pack; she was technically there to help and hang out with Bella after all. And so, Honey cancelled her plans with Paul and Jared for the day saying that she just wanted to stay in for the day with Bella, they were a little upset but ultimately, Paul understood while Jared whined. "I'm all yours for the day Bella," Honey promised as she stood in the brunette's doorway, she looked up at Honey with no reaction before looking back out the window blankly. "Maybe getting out of the house will be a good start," Honey suggested but Bella ignored her leaving Honey feeling a pit of guilt in her chest.

"I'll be downstairs if you need me," Honey told Bella getting no response, she was clearly having a bad day. The blonde made her way downstairs and sat down on the couch with a shameful sigh, she didn't mean to let Bella down and truthfully, she had no idea how to help Bella through this anymore. Honey was starting to think that the gentle love route was not the way to go with this plan, perhaps it was time for the tough love, this is how it is route. The blonde shook her head and pulled one of the blankets on the couch over her, switching the television on before getting comfortable. Neither Jessica or Angela were free to hang out with them so Honey just hoped Bella would join her.

Honey Parker woke up with an uneasy feeling, she yawned and stretched before noticing the house was silent ─ too silent. Honey switched the television off and made her way upstairs to Bella's room only to find it empty, her heart plummeted into her stomach as she noticed how clean her room seemed to be. She knew Bella's scent off by heart by this point and she couldn't pick up on its strongest place which meant she wasn't in the house or immediate area. Honey raced downstairs and out of the house, locking the door quickly behind her before climbing onto her motorbike that Jacob had built and given her; revving the engine before following Bella's scent.

Honey soon stopped on the side of the road where Bella's scent was stronger, her eyes scanned the area before quickly realising where the teenager was going; Honey had run through the woods with the pack enough to know the area perfectly and Bella was heading to the cliffs. Dropping her bike unceremoniously, Honey didn't hesitate to rush towards the cliff edge in hopes of stopping Bella's attempt however, by the time she got there, the teenager had already leapt into the crashing icy waves below her. Without hesitation, Honey leaped off after Bella and splashed perfectly into the sea unknowingly breaking through Bella's delusion of Edward.

Honey's arms wrapped around Bella and her feet kicked to break the surface, dragging her to the shore before looking down at the brunette who was more pale than before with blue lips. Bella was unconscious and Honey was quick to do CPR, Bella gasped awake before leaning over to expel the water from her lungs as Honey heard rushing steps towards them. She turned her head before easing at the scent of Jacob who dropped by his girl and wrapped an arm around her, looking worriedly down at Bella; who, despite everything that had changed, was still his best friend from childhood who he deeply cared about.

"Bella, are you okay?" Honey asked the brunette, she looked up into Honey's frantic and worried eyes causing a pit of guilt to form in her stomach for worrying the girl. "I'm so... sorry," Bella whispered to Honey whose eyes filled with tears, the two embraced each other tightly. "What were you thinking!?" Honey wept into Bella's shoulder, the brunette was burning with guilt for the fear she had put Honey through in that moment. "Get her home. I'm heading to the hospital," Sam's voice called from a small distance causing both girls to pull away and turn to Jacob. "What happened? Who's hurt?" Honey asked him. "Harry Clearwater had a heart attack," Jacob answered stunning the two girls.

"Oh my God -- does my dad know?" Bella asked Jacob through the chittering of her teeth from the cold. "He and my dad are both over there," Jacob replied as he helped both girls up, Honey slightly moving Bella closer to Jacob so she'd be warmer. "Will Harry be okay?" Honey asked Jacob as she kept Bella between him and her for warmth; not that Honey provides enough warmth like Jacob. "I don't know. Come on, sis, let's get you something warm," Jacob states as he rubs Bella's arm. Honey smiled at Jacob's brotherly actions towards Bella, she had no concerns about further intention between Jacob and Bella. "That's a good idea," Honey said as they walked towards Bella's truck.

"Good thing I always keep spare clothes in convenient places," Honey teased as she pulled the dufflebag from Bella's truck that had clothes for Bella to change into. The local beach change room provided comfort for Bella while Honey was unbothered by the water; it mostly just felt uncomfortable being in wet jeans so changing clothes was definitely nice. Both girls wearing warmer clothing, they piled into the truck and Jacob was the one to drive them home; assuring Honey that Jared would collect her bike and bring it home for her. Honey kept her arm around Bella who leaned into her side, Jacob's spare hand resting on Honey's thigh as they drove through the setting sun to reach the Swan residence; not one of them aware of who was waiting in the home.
