Heather Edwards

Just getting out of the shower I wrapped my towel around myself and went to my room to dry off. Once I dried off I got dressed in a pair of black button up denim shorts, a blue mesh t-shirt dress, and my blue Givenchy fur slides. I tied my hair into a bun then walked down to the kitchen.

"Hey, mom what's for breakfast?" I asked kissing my mom's cheek.

"Waffles eggs sausage and potatoes." My mom says and I nodded.

"Sound delicious," I said smiling at her.

Once my mom was finished cooking she handed me a plate with three waffles, some eggs, sausage, and potatoes then I began to eat.

As I was eating my doorbell rings. My mom stops making plates and went to answer the door. I could hear her talking to someone then the door closed. Walking into the kitchen my mom goes back to making plates and walking in behind her was my other best friend Lori.

"Hey bestie," I smiled hugging her.

"Hey." She says sitting down as my mom places a plate in front of her.

"What's been going on with you?" I asked her.

"Nothing much trying to get into this community college in the city over." She says and I gasped knowing which one she was talking about.

"The one with the dance studio?" I asked her with a smile on my face.

"Yea," She nods.

"That's a good one," I tell her with a nod.

"I know it is and they have some pretty hot guys there," Lori says wiggling her eyebrows.

"Of course you would say that," I said shaking my head.

"What? It's true though I heard they did." Lori says shrugging her shoulders.

"You would say something like that," I tell her rolling my eyes.

"Well, it is true and you need to invest in some cute guys instead of being around Sean all the time," Lori says and I laughed.

"Oh stop," I said sighing heavily.

"Oh come on. People think you two are dating." Lori says and I rolled my eyes.

"He's my best friend and only my best friend. Nothing more or nothing less." I said shaking my head.

"You need a boyfriend," Lori says making me laugh.

"I'll get one when I want one," I tell her nodding my head.

"Yeah okay." She says sarcastically.

"Why do you want me to have a boyfriend so bad?" I asked Lori with a smile on my face.

"I don't know maybe because I want to see you in a happy relationship," Lori says with a shrug.

"I will when I find the right one," I said with a nod.

"So have you talked to Destin recently?" Lori asks referring to my older brother.

"No why?" I asked her.

"Aww man because he gives the best Christmas presents," Lori says in a duh tone.

"Oh, Lori." I said rolling my eyes.

"It's true he does." She says and it was true.

My brother does give cool presents for Christmas. Like last year he got me a five hundred dollar gift cards to Victoria's Secret and got my mom a bunch of Nars cosmetics.

"I guess you're right he does." I said with a nod.

Lori laughs as we both continued to eat and talk. Once we finished we threw our scraps away then handed the plates to my mom as she washed them. Lori and I walked into the living room and sat on the couch as I turned on the tv.

"Your mom is a good cook." Lori says rubbing her stuffed stomach.

"I know huh I'm surprised I'm not fat because I love to eat." I said nodding my head.

"I agree." Lori says agreeing with me.

"I'm getting sleepy." I tell Lori with a yawn.

"Fatty." Lori laughs.

"I'm not." I protested.

"Yes you are. You eat the go to sleep." Lori says nodding her head.

"You have no room to talk because you do the same thing." I tell Lori laughing.

"Okay you caught me." She says putting her hands up jokingly.

"Exactly, I know you." I tell her rolling my eyes with a smile.

"Of course and I know you too." Lori say wrapping me into a hug.

"I don't want to clean my closet." I said leaning my head against the back of the couch.

"Your closet is messy?" Lori asks me.

"Yes I have clothes and shoes all over the floor." I said nodding.

"Come on I'll help you." Lori says smacking my thigh.

"Why?" I ask groaning while standing up.

"Come on." Lori says pushing me towards the stairs.

Walking behind Heather we went up to her closet and I gasped at the sight.

"Yea." Heather says with a nod.

"Jeez Heather it's looks like a tornado hit your closet." I said looking around.

"I know." She says sitting on the floor.

"Okay you start sorting your clothes and I'll sort your shoes." I said to Heather and she nods.

"Fine." Heather says groaning.

Grabbing a shoe I searched for the other one and put them together against the wall. It took us about an hour and a half to finally get her closet clean because she had so many clothes and didn't know what was dirty. By the time we were finished I was tired like hell.

"Thank god we finally finished." I said laying down on Heather's bed with a bounce.

"Yea." She says nodding her head.

Just then Heather's phone rings and it was Sean calling her via FaceTime.

' Hey best friend '

' Hey is Lori with you? '

' Yea she's right here. '

' What's Gucci? '

' What are you girls up to? '

' Just got done cleaning Heather's closet. '

' Was it bad? '

' Was it bad? It looked like a tornado hit in her closet. She had clothes all over the place.'

' Wow. '

' We got it clean didn't we? '

' Yea we did if it wasn't for me. '

' Well I got to go talk to you girls later. '

' Peace out. '

Heather sits her phone down next to her on the bed as we just laid there until we eventually took a nap. About an hour later I was woken up by my mom calling me.

Me - yea we fell asleep after cleaning her closet

Getting up from Heather's bed I left her room and found her sitting in the kitchen on her laptop.

"Well I got to go my moms getting worried." I said catching Heather's and Mrs. Edwards's attention.

"Aww okay bye." Heather says standing up to give me a hug.

"Well it was nice to see you again." Heather's mom says hugging me once I pulled away from Heather.

"Alright see you guys later." I tell them walking to the front door with Heather behind me.

"Okay bye love you." Heather says waving at me.

"Love you too." I called back giving her a smile and unlocked my car.

After getting in my car I fastened myself in and drove home. Pulling into the driveway I parked then got out. As I walked through the front door I hear my moms voice.

"Lori?!" She calls out.

"It's me mom." I said locking the front door.

"How was going to Heather's?" My mom asks as I walked through the living room.

"Good we cleaned her disaster of a closet." I sighed rolling my eyes.

"It was that bad?" She asks me.

"Yea she and clothes and shoes all over the place." I tell her shaking my head.

"Well you're a good friend." My mom tells me with a smile.

"I know." I said with a nod.

Heading up the stairs I went to my bathroom and turned on the shower. Once it was nice and ready I stripped off my clothes and got in. I washed my hair then my body. After stepping out of the shower I wrapped my towel around myself and walked to my room. Finally after I dried off I put on a pair of black Nike track shorts and a black Nike just do it sports bra.

After I was dressed I headed downstairs to the kitchen and made myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. As I sat at the table eating my mom walks in.

"So what's for dinner?" She asks me sitting down.

"I'm eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich." I said shrugging.

"You didn't want me to cook?" She asks me.

"No it was okay. I'm tired anyways." I tell her with a shrug.

"Oh okay." She says with a nod.

"Yea helping Heather clean her closet made me tired." I said with a laugh.

"I bet we'll okay then." My mom says nodding her head.

Once my mom left the kitchen I put my plate in the sink then headed back up to my room.

After plugging in my phone I slid in bed and sighed deeply as my body began to relax and I fell asleep.
