▅▅▅ ▅▅▅ ▅▅▅ ▅▅▅ ▅▅▅

         THE STRAW HAT CREW CROWDED AROUND VIVI CRYING ON THE SAND SAT ON HER KNEES, watching her silently as she wipes away her tears and recollects herself. She knew she needed to get her act together if she wanted to save her country, and that started with no more crying for now.

          (Y/N) stood in between Zoro and Sanji on either side of her, inside her arms being Happy once more who fixed up her straw hat covering her face from view. She peeked down at him, the males she adored beside her, and then Vivi on the floor.

          Vivi sniffed a bit, resting her palms on her knees, "(Y/N) is exactly right." She commented in a scratchy tone from crying, and swallowed the rest of her emotions down, "I've made up my mind now. Let's go to where Crocodile is!"

          "That does seems to be the quickest shortcut." Nami spoke up in agreement, placing her hand on her hip in thought standing in front of Vivi.

          Zoro hummed crossing his arms across his chest, and brushed his fingers along his captains exposed elbow gaining her attention, "Meaning no more of this annoying, roundabout traveling."

          Sanji sent a bit of evil eye at the swordsman spotting the touch he did to (Y/N), before grunting as he take out his cigarette from his mouth, "So, where is this damn Crocodile?" He asked Vivi impatiently.

           She grabbed the map out of the land from Nami's hand, as the crew all bent down to her level, "Let's see here..." She unwrapped the paper to show where they needed to go, "This is the capital city of Alubarna, where my father rules rom." She pointe to the big red dot of the land, "And the rebel army is currently here, preparing to invade Alubarna."

        "So we need to take care of Crocodile before that can happen." Happy sums up from sitting on top of (Y/N)'s head, holding onto the straw hat sides, as his tail was sometimes flicking Zoro on purpose, causing him to scowl annoyed at the cat.

          Vivi nodded smiling a bit, and tapped her finger on another  dot on the old map, "Crocodile is here. Rainbase." She tells them, all their heads moving closer to see it better, "Its about a day's journey north of here."

         (Y/N) deadpanned a bit hearing that information, a heavy and exhausted sigh escaping her lips realising there would be more walking involved across the sand. It's not like she didn't mind the heat, it's just she hated the walk involved with it. It also didn't help either that her abilities weren't on her side yet either.

         She felt Happy jump down from her head with a snicker, and landed into Luffy's arm next, which had her body falling into Zoro's side. He raised his eyebrows up at her worriedly, ignoring the other crew mates talking, and ran his larger hand up and down her side gently.

        "Are you alright, princess?" His voice was right by her ear, having dropped his head to husk his whispering question, hand squeezing her side as he did so softly, "It's the walk coming up, isn't it?"

          She grumbled pushing her face into his shoulder more to hide away, body heating up more at his voice so close to her. She felt his deep chuckle rumble against her chest, as his lips mouth along her cheek comforting, leaving a trail of goosebumps in his wake.

        "Don't worry." He pulled himself back away from her for a second, a feline smirk across his features as he rubs one of her shoulders, and squeezes her wrist, "I'll carry ya if you get too tried."

           A shiver wracked her body that was visible to his eye, and she shot up straight from her spot laughing nervously. She span around feeling her face on fire, and marched up robotically to Sanji who was straight away fawning over her, as she ignored the amused chuckles from Zoro behind them.

        THE GROUP WERE NOW BACK IN THE DESERT TRAVELING THROUGH IT, the heat being too much to bare but they all pushed through for the sake of the mission. In front leading them, Vivi and Nami sat on Eyelashes carrying them, while Luffy and Usopp struggled along using their walking sticks to help them.

        In the back of the group was Chopper in his reindeer form all on four hooves carrying Happy on his back, on either side of him being Sanji and Zoro. The swordsman indeed did end up carrying (Y/N) on his back, his arms underneath her thighs to keep her securely on him.

          Her chin was resting on his shoulder, arms wrapped around his neck loosely or would sometimes hold onto Sanji's hand next to her, who was keeping a close eye on her also. He didn't enjoy Zoro being the one holding her, but would deal with it for her sake.

        "C'mon, I told you to quit moaning, you two!" Nami scolded Luffy and Usopp, both of them groaning complaints and trying to reach out to touch Lashes, wanting to hope on with the girls.

        Luffy made a sour face with his tongue sticking out from overwhelming heat, "Who're you to say anything when you're riding that camel?!" He retorted annoyed, using his stick to pick up his pace beside Usopp who agreed.

        Usopp nodded his head rapidly making a fist on the air, "You camel-woman!" He tried to insult her, Luffy exclaiming in agreement while Nami just deadpanned at them, not even bothering to listen to the two anymore.

        Zoro turned his head to the side grazing his warm lips along (Y/N)'s exposed forehead seeing how she was close to sleeping, and run his thumbs along her inner thighs, hoping to sooth her to take a rest until they arrived at the place.

       "Chopper! You haven't collapsed today." He praised after he watched her eyes drop close silently, a fond look in his eyes before fully turning to Chopper, grinning proudly at both animals, "You too, Happy. Which I'm surprised you haven't."

         Happy irked a bit at Zoro who just snickered amused, but soon stopped feeling the girl on his back shuffle around, and push her face into his neck more, straw hat hanging on her shoulders. It was Happy's time to tease Zoro seeing his red cheeks, "Look who's blushing~" He drawled out, gaining a sharp look from the male to stop.

       "Vivi, does Rainbase have water?" Chopper asked the princess up front, hoping to break the little fight between the two next to him, and on him. His hooves also left little dents in the sand as he walked.

        She smiled brightly looking straight ahead to see what was in the distance, "Yes, there's no problem there." She answered before looking over her shoulder at the crew, "It's a gambling town, almost completely detached from the rebellion."

        Nami's eyes seemed to be dollar signs now, and rubbed her palms together gleefully, "Ooh! Gambling?!" She cooed in question, her spirits lifted up hearing that money would be involved, which had the crew sighing knowingly.

         "Gum-Gum No way!" Luffy's sudden shout had them all coming to a stop, Zoro scowling irritated as the noise had woken up (Y/N) on his back. Luffy was moving his stretchy arms around, holding his water and his sisters trying to move them away from Usopp, "No! No! No!"

         He continued to move his arms around to avoid Usopp's grasp, making sure his sisters barrel was cared for the most. Usopp groaned still trying to reach for them, "C'mon! Just one sip!" He suggested, making himself sweat more by moving around so much, "That is why we have them!"

         Luffy held the barrels close to his chest, a protective and serious look over his face, "That dry old guy spent all night digging this water up!" He reminded the sulking sharp shooter, as a flash of Toto's smile appears in Luffy's mind, "We can't just drink it like it's nothing! You dumbhead!"

       "Wow! And here I thought only (N/N) can restrain herself." Nami commented in surprise, her eyes wide and mouth dropped having witness Luffy being reasonable for once about the water. Because normally, he was far from it.

          Luffy made an offended noise, snapping his head around to her with his teeth gritted, "Of course I can, just like my sister! How rude!" He fake sulks, getting right up into her face huffing out, "You're rude!"

         (Y/N), who was now awake from the hearing the commotion going on, lifts up her head a bit from Zoro's shoulder to look at what was happening. It catches the swordsman and cooks attention, both of their face softening seeing the grin across her lips laughing at her brother trying to grab onto Nami for being mean.

       "So, how long until we reach Rainbase?" She asked curiously moving herself up more on Zoro's back, who stifled a pleased groan, and walked towards Vivi knowing the answers would come from the princess.

         Vivi hopped down from Eyelashes back onto the sand, a warm smile across her mouth meeting the duo in the middle, "(Y/N)." She started softly which gained the girls attention, "Thanks. I never would've been able to make this decision on my own. You and Luff really saved me back there."

       The Monkey D. girl just hummed in acknowledgment at what she said, and gently tapped Zoro's back to let her down. And he did so carefully despite wanting to keep her to himself, and watched his captain go take Vivi's hand in hers, who blushed at the sudden contact.

       "There's no need for that. But if you really wanna say thank you...." She trailed off in thought holding Vivi's hand, a cheeky smile forming now looking at Luffy who mouthed words, "Then give us food. After I kick Crocodile's with Luffy, please give us food as a thank you."

        Vivi chuckles amused, and smiled sweetly at the girl whom she was fond of, "Okay! I promise!" She chirped happily, giving a squeeze back to (Y/N)'s hand in hers.

        THE CITY OF RAINBASE WAS COMING INTO VIEW IN THE DISTANCE NOW, the Straw Hat's having walked a long way through the desert, and were very close to the base they needed to arrive at. Half of the group was still dragging themselves, while the other half wasn't that bothered.

        "Alright! Time to beat up Crocodile!" Luffy exclaimed in a loud cheer, raising his and (Y/N)'s arms up into the air, who groaned tiredly cheering in agreeing weakly, as Happy sat on her left shoulder snickering.

        Zoro sighs at their antics, walking up beside where Vivi was still on Eyelashes while Nami was on the sand this time, "By the way, does Baroque Works know we're in this country now?" He asked giving the princess a side glance.

       "Most likely." Nami answered frowning, her head turning to look at the swordsman seriously, "We did run into Mr. 2, so we should assume they know we're here."

         The swordsman grunted in agreement, raising an eyebrow up in thought glancing back to (Y/N) getting dragged along by Luffy and Happy, "Assassination is there area of specialty."

         "In any case, no matter what we run into," Sanji began to speak walking behind Zoro a bit next to the camel, his blunt hanging out of his mouth, "I'll protect (Y/N), Nami and Vivi!" His eyes turned into love hearts looking at his captain, voice dropping into a cooing one, "You girls can call me 'Prince'!"

        The (H/C) haired girl giggled hearing his words, flashing him a sweet smile from being pulled around in circles by a whining Luffy, as Happy tried to stop him. Sanji squirmed in his place seeing that smile, and fawned over her to himself more.

       "Prince." Zoro lowly commented in a monotone voice, trying to piss Sanji off as the swordsman was a bit jealous of the cooks interaction with their captain. Well, his captain.

        Sanji's eye twitched, his entire attitude changing from loving to annoyed, "Don't make me kick your ass!" He snarled out, shark teeth appearing yelling at Zoro, who rubbed his ear unbothered like always.

        The town of Rainbase was coming more into view now, which had Luffy running off straight away, holding his sister by the wrist which made her fly behind him like a piece of paper in the wind yelling out for Luffy to stop. Happy was panicking for her safety, and flew after them, telling the rubber male to slow down.

       "Wait! Take money with you!" Nami tried to exclaim to them seeing the trio were running off, Usopp also racing forward to join as they completely ignored the girl, causing Zoro and Sanji to sigh for the sake of (Y/N)'s safety.

        The four of them continued to rush off away from the rest of the Straw Hat's, arriving in town where it was busy and full of many people. Shops lined each pathway inside, and every single one was busy to the brim. The one they picked was the Sand Cafe.

       "Alright!" Luffy and Usopp both shouted in cheers once they pushed open the cafe entrance, fists raised up into the air as Happy placed down a dizzy (Y/N) onto the floor, having just save her from getting dragged the entire way by Luffy, "We can get water here, guys!"

         None of them were aware of the Navy inside the cafe either, Smoker being sat down beside them a few seats away as the pirate walk up to the counter, completely unaware of who was drinking a few steps away.

       Luffy and Usopp frantically hit the counter top with their palms, wide grins across their faces that flashed their teeth, "Old lady! Water!" They ranted in a joyfully way being rude, causing (Y/N) to whack them in the back of their heads.

       "Use your manners!" She scolded pulling on the boys ears next making them whine out in pain, apologies spilling from their mouths quickly, trying to tug themselves free from her hold.

        She sighed heavily letting them go, and helped up Happy onto the counter, giving Luffy a look who sheepishly grinned,  "Three waters please." She asked of the bar keep kindly once she was sat down.

       The older woman behind the counter held up three barrels of water, thankful at least one of them had manners, "Here you go!" She chirped placing the water down in front, as Luffy and Usopp were straight way drinking from them.

         (Y/N) rolled her eyes at their behaviour, chuckling a bit not blaming them as she poured some water into a small cup for Happy. He thanked her taking the cup, and she poured herself one also, gulping down the liquid quite fast also, quenching her dry throat.

        That was until the four of them felt eyes staring them down from their left side, causing the pirates to all turn their heads where the eyes were coming from. It was silent between the Navy and Pirates, Smoker staring right back not realising it was the pirates he was after.

         However, (Y/N)'s, Happy's, Luffy's, and Usopp's eyes all go wide finally realising that Smoker was right next to them, and the water in their mouths gets spitted out. It flies all over onto Smoker and Tashigi's figure, wetting them from head to toe.

       "Run!" Luffy shrieked along with the other three who automatically agreed, and all got up like the speed of light to run out of the door, leaving nothing but a air of dust behind.

        Not more running again! The Monkey D girl sulked to herself, carrying Happy in her arms as she ran in front of the boys, who were carrying barrels of water behind, keeping up with her fast pace.

        "Why is the Navy here?!" Luffy exclaimed in panic sweatdropping, hearing the massive group of Marines chasing them in the distance, which caused him, his sister and Happy to shriek some more.

          Usopp sulked with tears streaming down his face, holding onto the water barrel tightly as they all sprint like their lives depend on it, "How should we know?!" He yelled back crying hysterically, "Just run!"

        "Can't you use your powers or something, (N/N)!?" Happy shrieked in fear looking over his best friends shoulder, eyes almost popping out of their pockets seeing the amount of Marines following, "We are so dead!"

          She shakes her head breathing heavily, eyes looking back quickly to see the Marines, "No! There's no time right now!" She argued back fixing her hold on Happy, and saw the rest of the Straw Hats up ahead, making her grimace at Sanji and Zoro's worried but pale faces for her.

        "Hey, guys! The Navy's here!" Luffy shouts in warning to the rest of the crew, them all beginning to run off ahead also once the four had gotten closer to them, the Marines closing in from behind.

        Zoro irked snapping his head back around running, as Sanji had a deadpanning but concerned look on his face, "You're the one bringing them here!" The moss head yelled annoyed at Luffy, "And you even got your sister involved, again!"

         The pirates kept running around the city like mad people trying to escape the Marines, as (Y/N)'s senses spiked up rapidly feeling the deadly stares from the towns people. Her sharped gaze spots the pictures some of them had of her crew mates, and shared a knowing look with Zoro up front.

       "They already know who we are!" She exclaimed to the crew now entering captain mode for the time being, nodding at Luffy who grunted back in encouragement, "We've gotta go to where Crocodile is! Right, Vivi?!"

         Vivi nodded her head humming, and lifted up her finger to point to the yellow building up ahead in the middle of everything, "Yes! Do you see that alligator-roof building up ahead?!" She asked of her and the others, "That's the casino Crocodile runs... Raindinners!"

         The Marines were gaining on them closer now despite how fast they ran, and it caused the group to quickly split up. Zoro and Sanji gave (Y/N) a look, before they left her in the hands of Happy and Luffy, praying she'd be alright without them for a little bit. But, they knew she would be either way.

       "Hold on Happy!" She called back to him as he was flying with his wings, and he made them disappear when he hoped down onto her back, little paws gripping her shoulders.

        When he was securely on her, she shared a grin with Luffy who returned it still carrying the waters in his hands, and was the first to jump up into the air. She was next using the earth to push herself up a bit, and airbended herself up the rest of the way, laughing amused hearing Happy's terrified yelling.

        The three of them were up in the air upside down for a few seconds, and (Y/N) goes to stick her tonuge out playfully to the main Marine in charge below, "Come and get us, Smokey!" She calls to him, causing the older male to irk but chuckle irritated.

        Smoker tried to sent a gust of his Devil fruit power at them, which had the girl quickly reacting grabbing her brothers arm, and made sure Happy was still gripping onto her, before sending them all flying through the air with a gust of air out of the bottom of her boots.

        It made the trio all yell in alarm when she lost control of their movements, and in the process of falling down to the ground away from Smoker, Luffy lost the barrels of water. They didn't have time to mess around, so Luffy quickly helped up his sister and picked up a dizzy Happy, going back to running away.

back again with another update hiiiiii <33 ive missed this fic a lot and writing for sanji and zoro so i made time to write a new chapter for you guys and me LMAOOA cause currently im rewatching the arcs and im on zou where sanji isn't in there so im very sad and going through withdrawals without him WAAA 🥲🥲🥲
