โ•ฐโ”ˆหš ยท ยฐ . ย BEACON HILLS WAS A SMALL CITY ย in central California. I grew up knowing that it was home to many supernatural creatures and many mystic events. But now, we had only recently discovered that Beacon Hills had the perfect name, because our city was a literal beacon for every form of supernatural.

It was the middle of the night when the first skip of my heartbeat happened. A feeling of dread coating my every insides as the dream played in my mind. Fire and screams and death. The nightmares were back.

Night after night, so frequently and realistically, the dreams left me sleepless.

It was only when Alec found out about it a week after the first one happened and decided to attach himself to me during the night, I had found a little solace. With arms too tightly wrapped around me, heartfelt caresses of his fingers through my hair and soft kisses on my skin to lull me back to sleep, my heart could slow down.

And the tattoo, the mark of the pack on my left bicep, pulsed every night creating an ache not only on my heart, but onto my soul and mind.

It was still very hard to understand all the links. So many of them, each different, some tangled, some supernatural, some not. Everything was so jammed up inside my head that I could barely feel any of them clearly. It felt like trying to see through murky water.

Another morning after a sleepless night, with very much fatigue and annoyance, with tired movements I got up from my bed.

"Love, we have school." I said in mumble as I rubbed my eyes with the palm of my hands.

"No." Burying his head deeper in his pillow, Alec groaned.

My eyes softened, lips titling up into a smile. I climbed back on to the bed on my knees next to him. My fingers trailed shaped on his cheek until they landed in his unruly curly hair. "Yes." I replied, taking back my hand when he moaned at the feeling.

Hands grabbed my hips, yanking me down until I was sprawled on top of my boyfriend. "No." His deep chocolate colored eyes were still closed but a grin stretched on his pink lips.

"I don't want to be late." I whined against the skin of his chest where I continued to leave small pecks.

With a groan, he shifted underneath me until I could feel his morning wood against my inner thigh. His eyes, darkened and full of hunger, stared me down. I grinned at him with shining mischief as I trailed my hand on his chest, down his abs and over the happy trail until my tips touched the hem of his sweatpants.

His hand grabbed my wrist, stopping me from going further. "Careful, little witch." He said, his voice gruffer then normal from the sleep.

"Or what?" I teased.

He grabbed my throat, shifting our position until I was underneath him. "Or I'll fuck you so hard that you'll feel me for days, I'll make sure that you won't even be able to get up for the rest of the day." He brushed his nose against mine, "And maybe... I'll leave the imprints of my hands on your ass so maybe you'll think twice before teasing me again, brat." His fingers pushed my panties aside so he could feel my heat and wetness against his bare touch. "Ti ho solo sfiorata e giร  sei completamente bagnata." He laughed with a proud smirk as he got up on his knees to look down at me. [I barely even touched you and you are already completely wet]

Breathless, missing already his fingers and weight on me I huffed between a pout. "That was not fair."

"What? You don't like being teased?" He laughed again.

I grumbled under my breath, "Shut up." Climbing out of the bed.

A harsh slap landed on my ass, definitely not helping with my increasing arousal. "Alec!"

"Let's go before we are late for school." he grinned, picking me up and throwing me on his shoulder as I let out an annoyed groan when he spanked me again. "We'll save some water and time and shower together." Thinking back again at his words, he corrected himself, "Maybe not time."

โ•ฐโ”ˆหš ยท ยฐ . ย "Your aunt? You are seeing your dead aunt?"

"Yes."

Something with the ritual to find the missing parents had apparently gone wrong. That was what I first thought when Allison had told Lydia Sebastian and me about her recent struggles when we met outside the school. And that something was probably going on with both Stiles and Scott too, and that was messing with me through the pack bond.

"Oh for fuck sakes." I groaned, taking my best friend's arm and without a word dragging her with me. The cousin duo following behind us.

"What is happening?" Lydia asked as she skipped next to me.

"I would like to know that too. Where are you dragging me?"

I didn't answer any of their questions until I found Scott's scent and proceeded to follow itโ€” which fortunately, was already with Stiles, Isaac and Alec near the underpassage for the lacrosse field.

"It's happening to you too. You're seeing things, aren't you?" I heard Stiles say to his best friend as we approached them.

"How'd you know?" Scott asked.

"Because it's happening to all three of you." I replied, looking between the Argent, McCall and Stilinski teens. "Now tell me everything."

โ•ฐโ”ˆหš ยท ยฐ . ย "Well, well, look who's no longer the crazy one." Lydia commented with an amused smile as we entered through the front doors of the school.

"We're not crazy." Allison sighed, rolling her eyes at our best friend's words.

Turning around to look at the three, Lydia listed. "Hallucinating? Sleep paralysis? Yeah, you guys are fine."

"We did die and come back to life. That's gotta have some side effects, right?" Scott tried to reason with us, but before we could talk any longer, the bell rang signaling the beginning of our first period.

"We keep an eye on each other. Okay?" Stiles said. "And Lydia, Alec,

stop enjoying this so much."

"We both know that I won't." Alec snorted, kissing my head before rushing to his first class with Isaac.

โ•ฐโ”ˆหš ยท ยฐ . ย Art class was our first period, with blank canva before me, there were endless outcomes. I could paint anything, let my mind free and run wild with any idea I had.

Red, orange and yellow for the flames, brown and black for the burning house, pink for desperate hands grabbing to the bars of the basement to get out.

It had been months since I had created a piece like this, showing the nightmares of that night, but perhaps, I had only fooled myself into believing I was doing better. And having a remainder of what I had lost every night once again was not helping me in the slightest.

"Not the steadiest hand for a superb marksman." I snapped my focus away from my memory painted on canva and over towards Lydia, who had her worried gaze on the Argent archer.

Allison's hands were trembling badly as she held the paintbrush up against her still untouched canva.

"It's been happening for the past few weeks. Since that night." Upset by the block, Allison let the brush fall atop the paint tray, red acrylic splattering over white. Her eyes unfocused, a memory, maybe another hallucination perhaps, happening right there and then.

From her right side Sebastian got up, ripped the paper off and threw it in the bin, successfully snapping the huntress back to reality.

"It's okay." He said, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Just start over."

And with a big breath, Allison took the paintbrush back in her hands, restarting her work.

โ•ฐโ”ˆหš ยท ยฐ . ย With my head fuzzy with not enough sleep and from the new problem at hand, I dragged myself to my locker ready to be over with school, still though, I had the woods that waited for me as Lydia had come up with a solution to help Allison.

I turned the corner just to come face to face with Stiles and a very distressed looking Scott. My eyes widened when I met his glowing red one.

"Oh shit, shit!" I cursed under my breath, yanking the two guys with me in the empty classroom further down the hallway.

Between grunts and pants, Scott threw his jacket off as soon as we were inside, bending down trying to fight the unexpected transformation.

"Get back away from me." Scott gasped as he saw Stiles stepping forward to help him.

"Scott, it's okay."

"I don't know what's going to happen. Get back!"

"He is right, Stiles." I grabbed the human, stepping slightly in front of him.

We watched as the new alpha used his claws as weapons on himself, piercing the skin of his palm, blood fervently flowed down his elbows. His transformation had stopped, but it was clear that he was as tired as I was when he closed his eyes and let himself fall. Before he could meet the ground, I was there, leading him softly down onto the floor.

"It's okay." I whispered as he tiredly relaxed his head against my shoulder.

"Pain." Scott said as Stiles kneeled in front of us with a confused expression at the alpha's actions.

"It makes you human." I finished.

"This isn't just in our heads. This is real. And it's starting

to get bad for me too." Stiles revealed, "I'm not just having nightmares. I'm having dreams where I have to literally scream myself awake. And sometimes I'm not even sure if I'm actually ever waking up. Do you know how you can tell if you're dreaming? You can't read in dreams. More and more, the past few days, I've been having trouble reading. It's like I can't

see the words. I can't put the letters in order."

"Like even now?" Scott asked.

Stiles got up, his eyes staring at the blackboard, words written in white chalk all over it. "I can't read a thing." He admitted, bottom lips trembling slightly.

"This is affecting me too." I said, dropping my head on the chair at my back. "Whatever went wrong to make this happen to you three is messing with the pack bond. They are like waves of energy coming to me." I stared up at the industrial lights as tears shined in my eyes. "I've been having nightmares since that dayโ€” about the fire... And it's not just dreams of a memory." I swallowed down as their scream echoed in my ears. "I'm back there once again."

โ•ฐโ”ˆหš ยท ยฐ . ย Lydia's plan to help Allison was to take the huntress into the woods and make her do what she does best. Shoot her bow. We passed by the Argent's apartment to take the necessary, now Lydia strode back to us after hanging a target practice paper on a tree, confidence written all over her features.

"Do you really think this is going to help?" Allison asked as she prepared her bow. Different from Lydia, she did not think that this was going to work.

"I know that if you think it's not going to help it definitely won't." Using an inciting tone then Lydia said, "So get your head into it."

"It definitely cannot hurt practicing for a bit." Sebastian told the girl between handfuls of skittles.

"Just try." I then said, adding the most genuine smile that I could come up with hoping that it wasn't a grimace.

"Exactly. Shoot a few and see what happens."

After Lydia said that, the Argent girl took her aim, her hands shaking as she let the string go. The arrow landed nowhere near the practice target. Allison prepared another arrow, shooting this one too, and still, it landed far away from where her aim had been.

Not losing faith just yet, Lydia thought for a second before suggesting, "Maybe hold the string a different way. Try the Mongolian draw." At the confused glances that we all sent her, the strawberry-blonde girl shrugged her shoulders. "What? I read. Try it."

"Okay this is not working. It's just making her feel worse." I said, noticing how tense the girl was becoming with each failed attempt.

"And you are not helping." Lydia slightly snapped in my direction.

I rolled my eyes, deciding to try to steal a couple of skittles from Sebastian. Key word, try. Because he slapped my hand away so fast that if I didn't know better I would have thought that he had supernatural reflexes.

"Mine." The blond boy glared walking to stand next to his cousin.

I huffed annoyedly, returning my attention back to the huntress in distress.

"Okay, um... Take a second to close your eyes and imagine the arrow

going into the target."

Following Lydia's instruction, taking a deep breath, but once her eyes were once again open, she gasped alarmed.

"Did you see that?" Allison asked.

"See what?" Lydia replied confused.

"I didn't see anything." Seb said, lookin around just to be sure.

Allison crouched down, placing her quiver on her back as she stared into the forest. "Wait here."

"Are you serious?"

I stopped her from walking with a hand on her arm. "I didn't see anything Allison. Not did I hear or smell anyone." I told her, but her eyes were unfocused, like she was not really hearing my words.

"I'll be right back." She said before taking a few steps forward, careful of a possible threat.

"What is she doing?" Sebastian asked, alarmed as we watched the huntress gasp and pant apparently at nothing.

"She is having another hallucination." I stated. Looking between the two cousins. I glanced once again at the huntress, worrying about her. "I'm following her, you stay here."

"You did not just say that."

"I'm making sure she does not hurt herself." I said as calmly as I could since the other two were already panicking.

Allison had disappeared from my sight, but then her voice echoed through the forest. "Lydia?" She called. "Elizabeth, Sebastian?"

"Allison!" I called her name, running towards her voice when I was brought down on the forest floor abruptly. My eyes flashed yellow, ready to fight before I recognized what had attacked me. Or more so who.

A black wolf with eyes of obsidian and shadows to surround him, stood above me, mouth open blaring his sharp teeth.

"You fucking dickhead!" I snapped at my boyfriend who was completely turned into his wolf form. "I was two seconds away from fracturing your spine!" I shoved him away, getting up and brushing the dirt and leaves off my clothes.

He let out a sound that could have been passed as a laugh in wolf form. He brushed himself against my legs, chest rattling as I passed my fingers through his pelt even if I rolled my eyes annoyedly at him "I have to find Allison, Alec. She is having another hallucination."

The Argent's girl voice sounded again, even more panicked, her tone increasing in its volume. "Guys!" She yelled, fear coating her tone.

I shared a glance with my boyfriend before running towards the direction her voice came, him trotting on my side. We arrived just in time to see Allison let go of the string of her bow, an arrow flying with the aim of Sebastian's head.

"Allison!" I yelled her name.

And fortunately for us, Isaac had been there to grab the arrow just before it could hit the human boy between his eyes.

"Oh, my god. Oh, my god, Seb." Allison dropped her bow down, eyes wide as coins as she snapped out from her hallucination.

We stood in a tense air for more than a minute, only glancing at each other as we regianing a normal breathing pattern. The silence was only broken when Alec jogged back fully clothed in his human form after transforming from his wolf.

Allison sighed, almost in tears, "I'm so sorry." She said to the boy. She made a single step forwards only to be stopped by a growl.

"Don't you dare come near him." Isaac snapped. His eyes were glowing, rage directed only at the huntress. He stood protectively in front of Sebastian, I wasn't sure he would have let anyone near him at that moment.

"It's not her fault." The human boy whispered to hisโ€” boyfriend?โ€” "It's not your fault. It's okay, I'm okay." Sebastian this time directed the words to the girl seeing that she was still very shocked by the events.

"No, it's not okay. She almost killed you." Isaac said with a clenched jaw looking down at the blond.

"I mean, almost." With a grimace Seb said trying to placate the angered werewolf.

Alec snorted, "That is a very good way to calm him down." Sarcastically he commented. "Good job."

"Don't start, Alec." Lydia huffed out a breath, rolling her eyes at the shadow wolf.

Glared through narrowed eyes, Sebastian replied, "I'm trying."

"I'm sorry." Allison said again, looking desperate. It was clear that she had not meant to hurt anyone, and the thoughts of almost accidentally killing one of her best friends was eating at her heart.

After the events of the last year with his psychotic aunt and even worse grandfather, after all the psychological manipulation that she had gone through, it was safe to say that hurting one of us was the last thing that Allison would ever want to do again. I knew that the guilt was still there.

"Like I said, it's not your fault. Something is happening to you, Scott and Stiles." Sebastian made a step forward to reach her, but Isaac stopped him, grabbing the boy by the back of his neck until he was facing him.

"Don't." Isaac grinded out. "She almost killed you."

"Oh for fuck sakes." The shadow wolf commented as he rested his back on the trunk of a tree.

"Shut up. You would have already killed her if it had been Elizabeth." Isaac snapped to his best friend.

"That is not true." With a scoff, Alec replied. "Maybe just a bit of maiming."

"What are you two even doing here?" I asked, trying to change the delicate subject.

"He wanted to shift." Isaac pointed to the shadow wolf. "And fortunately we were here, otherwise..." He trailed off, clenching his fists tightly.

"I was following Allison, Sebastian would have been okay even without you. It was Alec that decided to jump on me out of nowhere and distract me." I replied, keeping my eye roll strongly directed at my boyfriend.

"Okay, stop it." Lydia said, raising her hand to point at the two wolves. "You are not helping. Now go away." Lydia said to the duo of best friends as she approached the huntress.

"No." Allison stepped back, out from Lydia's reach.

"It's okay Allison." I said, placing a comforting hand on her arm.

But it was only when Sebastianโ€” after shoving Isaac awayโ€” wrapped the girl in a hug, that Allison finally relaxed slightly. At least enough to not resemble a marble statue anymore.

โ•ฐโ”ˆหš ยท ยฐ . ย Things were getting worse for the three members of the pack that went under the ritual, and after another episode that happened during class for Stiles, we had decided to talk about everything at lunch.

"Okay, so what happens to a person who has a near-death experience and comes out of it seeing things?" Scott started.

"And is unable to tell what's real or not?" Stiles continued.

"And is being haunted by demonic visions of dead relatives?" Allison finished.

"They're all locked up because they're insane." Isaac commented without an ounce of empathy.

With the lack of mouth filters and general nonchalance, I could see how he and Alec had become fast friends.

"Ha." Stiles fake laughed at the Lahey's boy's comment, "Can you at least try to be helpful, please?"

"For half my childhood, I was locked in a freezer. So, being helpful is

kind of a new thing for me."

"Hey, dude, are you still milking that?"

"Yeah, maybe I am still milking that."

Snorting at their conversation, Alec added. "He is still definitely milking that."

"Can you stop? I'm too tired for this shit." I grumbled, letting my head fall forward to the table but a hand was there before I could banged on it.

"Okay back to the problem." Scott sighed bringing back the focus on the previous topic of conversation.

"The problem being that Lizzie messed up when she did the ritual?" Stiles asked. And when I snapped my head upright again to glare at him, I could see how he had quirked an eyebrow and was pointing in my direction with his finger.

"Listen asswipe, I did not mess anything. I followed everything that was written down." I said, not liking how the blame was suddenly on me.

"You definitely did something wrong." He insisted, leaning forward on his end of the table where he sat in front of me.

"You died and came back. You knew there were going to be repercussions. Even Deaton told you that." I snapped back, "Repercussion of near death experience being hallucination, even of death relatives, not knowing what is real or not and night terrors."

"Hi. Hi, sorry." A girl said, coughing awkwardly as stood by our table. She was probably our age, very pretty, with wavy black hair, pale skin and dark brown almond-shaped eyes that spoke of her asian parentage. "I couldn't help overhearing what you guys were talking about. And I think I actually might know what you're talking about."

"You do?" I asked slightly worried. We didn't know what she had overheard. Maybe talking about supernatural occurrences at lunch period was not the best option.

"Yeah. There's a Tibetan word for it. It's called 'Bardo.' It literally means

'in-between state.' The state between life and death."

"Cute." Commented Alec as he slipped his arm around my waist bringing me closer to him.

"And what do they call you?" Lydia asked in a very not-so-friendly way, earning a kick from her cousin under the table. Lydia was known to be botch with everyone. If you didn't know her it was easy to think of her just like that.

But before the girl could say anything, it was Scott that answered. His dow brown eyes staring at the new girl with a light that missed since he had broken up with Allison. "Kira." He said with a soft smile. Noticing all of our stares on him, he explained. "She's in our history class."

"So are you talking about Bardo in Tibetan Buddhism or Indian?" Breaking the awkward silence that formed, Lydia asked Kira.

Smiling, the new girl answered. "Either, I guess. But all the stuff you guys were just saying? All that happens in Bardo. There are different progressive states where you can have hallucinations. Some you see, some you just hear. And you can by visited by peaceful and wrathful deities."

"Wrathful deities? And what are those?" Isaac asked, twirling between his fingers a short stand of the blond boy on his side.

"Like demons." Kira answered with a bright smile.

"Demons. Why not?" Stiles commented.

"Oh for fuck sakes" I mumbled under breath. Demons were not what I expected. Or wanted.

"Hold on, if there are different progressive states, then what's the last one?" Allison asked, her tone unmistakable laced with fear.

And Kira's answer could not have been worse, "Death. You die."
