╰┈˚ · ° . THE HALLWAYS WERE BUSTLING WITH PEOPLE, teens wandering around, greeting their friends after summer break and new students ready for their first year of high school.
"Freshmen. Tons and tons of fresh men." Lydia commented as she scanned the new teens. We were standing next to Allison's locker, the strawberry-blonde and her cousin salivating at the male population of the school.
"You mean fresh boys. Lydia, they're 14." Allison said with a disbelieving laugh turning for just a second to look at the hallways.
"Eh, some are more mature than others." Lydia commented nonchalantly.
"That is definitely mature enough for me." Sebastian said, his eyes trailing to one specific guy at his locker. None other than Danny.
"That is Danny. Jacks-" I looked at Lydia for a fracture of a second before correcting myself "Sorry, Lord Voldemort's best friend. Or I guess, ex-best friend."
"Oh." Sebastian grimaced "Next."
"He is actually one of few people I can stand in this school." I said as a matter of fact.
"You know, it's okay to be single." Allison started. Confidence dripped from her tone. "Focus on yourself for a little while, work on becoming a better person."
Chuckling at our best friend's words, Lydia turned towards her "Allison, I love you. So if you need to do that thing where we talk about me and
pretend like we're not actually talking about you, it's totally fine. But I don't want a boyfriend." Her eyes turned predatory as she once again scanned the people around us, searching for her prey. "I want a distraction."
"Like the one you had over this morning?" I asked, scrunching my nose in amusement.
"Exactly." She said with a snap of her fingers. Then, her jade eyes focused on two people definitely new to our school.
Two boys cladded in leather jackets strutted down the hallway, identical in almost every way. Gloves and helmets in their hands indicating the possession of bikes.
"Brothers?" Allison asked as all our eyes landed on the two.
A smile, or more so a smirk, bloomed on Lydia's pink lips as she said with total satisfaction "Twins."

╰┈˚ · ° . Entering the classroom for our first lesson of the year, we all went to our usual seats. Stiles and Scott sat next to each other, Lydia taking her seat in the empty desk on Stiles' left. Behind Scott there was Alec, who on his left had an empty seat just behind Lydia. Another empty desk was behind that one. Sebastian and I walked towards them, me taking my place behind Lydia. I grimaced when I looked at Allison, the only empty seat was in front of Scott. Even if that had been her usual spot, now with their break up and awkwardness that followed each of their interactions, maybe it was not such a great place.
"Well, this is awkward." I muttered to myself even if I was aware that it was loud enough for the one closer to me to hear.
"This is more than awkward. I'm feeling the tension from right here." Sebastian commented leaning forward until he was almost next to me with his head to whisper the words in my ear.
I turned towards him, pushing his head back "You know that I can hear you whispering just fine without you invading my space, right?"
"Right" he nodded "Forgot about that for a second."
I snorted my amusement before turning towards Alec, who had a very intense glare as he focused on me.
"Yes, Alec?" I asked, raising an eyebrow trying to conceal my amusement.
With his pen he pointed at Sebastian "I don't like him."
"You have been saying this for the last three months that I moved here, Di Luna. Get more creative, please." Sebastian said with an annoyed and exasperated huff at the end.
"How about I claw your eyes out and make you eat them? Sounds more creative to me." The shadow wolf said with a malice filled grin. But I knew that he would not do that. At least, I think so.
"You two are literally made for each other." Sebastian rolled his eyes
"What does that mean?" I scoffed taking offense at that statement.
"That you could threaten to kill the president and wouldn't give a fuck about it?" He suggested with a raised eyebrow "Your love language is threatening each other." he deadpanned
"Wrong." Alec said, widening his grin in the most deranged way "Our love language is she—" He pointed at me, still with his pen "threatening to kill me. And me loving every second of it." I couldn't help but grin his way, ready to speak. Ready for a way to maim or kill him to be spoken from my lips "Don't you dare, little witch. I know what you are going to say and I could give zero fucks if I had to gag you with my shadows in front of the entire classroom."
"I wasn't going to use my weapon here, Alec. Not when you can not do anything." I grinned
His eyes turned dark and hooded with lust. "Wanna bet?"
"So eager to lose, are we?"
"I'm sorry but I'm not following." Sebastian cutted through our conversation.
"We made a bet this morning. We are going to see who between us is going to give in first about sex." I explained with a wicked glint in my blue eyes.
"You made a bet that will not permit you two to fuck?" Stiles said overhearing our conversation. Scott snapped his head towards us at his words, eyes wide at what he heard. Stiles looked between me and Alec, face hard with will to win our bet. "We are so dead" The human whined, threading his hand in his now longer hair.
"What does that even mean?" I asked confused at what he had said.
"Let's be honest here. You two are always on the verge of killing someone. You two sexually frustrated is going to be a bloodbath for everyone in a couple of days. But... " Lydia said with a serious look. Her eyes scanned Aalec from head to toe. "He will fold, we all know it."
"Excuse me?" Alec said, affronted.
"Are you saying that she has not you wrapped around her fingers? Please Alec, be serious." Lydia said with a scoff making me snicker at the look on my boyfriend's face.
"See." I winked at him. Narrowing his eyes I knew he was about to unleash his shadows in some way but everyone's phone in the room chimed at the same time with a new message.
" 'The offing was barred by a black bank of clouds and the tranquil waterway, leading to the uttermost ends of the earth flowed somber under an overcast sky, seemed to lead into the heart of an immense darkness.' " The words that were spoken out loud were the same in the message. A woman, a new teacher, her hair brown and curled, styled to keep the upper part and front strand away from her face. She wore black pencil skirt with a belt, a white blouse decorated with black polka dots and nude colored heels. "This is the last line to the first book we are going to read. It is also the last text you will receive in this class. Phones off, everyone." With a smile she showed her phone before walking behind her own desk.
But something was off. I could feel it deep in my bones. In her, the new teacher. In the air. In nature. Something was moving, shifting, and not in a good way. Something was coming for us all and not only a pack of alphas.
The lesson had not even begun for more than fifteen minutes when Melissa McCall had called for his son.
Minutes passed feeling like hours, the class was really boring and there was a slight feeling of dread that never left, making me feel more on edge then normal.
"Hey, Lydia." In his whispering voice Stiles called for the girl, but nevertheless, Alec and I both raised our gaze from our homeworks to listen into their conversation "What is that? Is that from the accident?" The boy asked, his hand gesturing to the bandaid on the girl's ankle.
"No. Prada bit me." Lydia answered easily.
"Your dog?" Stiles asked, a bit confused by her answer.
"No, my designer handbag. Yes, my dog." Lydia deadpanned, making both Alec and I snicker.
"Has it ever bitten you before?" The Stilinski boy asked another question. Answering to it, Lydia only shook her head.
"What are you going with all these questions anyways?" Alec asked while twirling a pen between his fingers.
"What if it's, like, the same thing as the deer? You know, like, how animals start acting weird right before an earthquake or something?" Stiles said, trying to find answers to the weird behavior of the animals.
"Meaning what? There's gonna be an earthquake?" Lydia replied with clear annoyance, not believing the boy's speculations.
"Or something." Stiles said firmly before turning towards me "Did Hex act weird?"
"Do I have to remind you that Hex is not a real animal? She is literally made of magic." I remind him. The corner of my lips twisting up in amusement.
"I just... something's coming. Something bad." Stiles insisted
He was right, something was coming. I could feel it. My heartbeat accelerated with each second that passed.
"It was a deer and a dog." Lydia said.
"Ellie?" I heard Alec call me but everything was covered in a haze.
"What's that thing you say about threes? Once, twice..." I faintly heard Lydia speaking but before she could count another time, I abruptly stood up, my chair sounding loudly on the pavement earning everyone's attention.
"Miss. Hale?" The teacher asked. Her voice an echo for the waves of magic and awareness that passed through my being. And then, like I was brought back from a trance I snapped my head toward the window at the same time a bird collided with it. It's life ending with the impact.
Ms. Blake walked closer to the window, loud caws of crows sounding more and more near us as the time ticked.
"What the..." I couldn't believe my eyes. I knew, with every cell in my body, with every ounce of my magic, what was going to happen. Death permeated the air even before the birds started to collide with the windows.
One after the other, their bodies flew into the glass shattering it at the impact. Crows invaded our classrooms, screams echoed around the room.
I could feel my magic wanting to burst out at the death of the birds. It wasn't natural. Something was wrong. I fell to my knees just as the classroom was invaded by probably hundreds of crows. I brought my hands to my ear trying to not listen to their sound as they attacked the students before dying and leaving their essence to permeate the air.
"You're okay. You're okay." Arms wrapped around me, Alec's body shielding mine from the attacks. Alec moved one of his hands to my face, shoving it into his chest. "Shh, amore." [Love] His words were whispered above the chaos as whimpers escaped my lips. It was starting to overwhelm me. I needed to let my magic out but that was not a possibility.
I don't even know how much passed until I felt the last crow die. An eerie silence coated the classrooms. The bird's dead bodies were scattered all around, on desks, on the floor... with them, feathers were everywhere, some even in most student's hair. Scratches were present of the majority of the people in the room. And the only scents that I could smell was the one of death and fear and blood.
Helping me up, Alec didn't waste a second to wrap me up in a hug. HIs lips collided with my own in a kiss of reassurance and love. I was exhausted. My head fell almost limp onto his chest as I looked around for Allison, Lydia and Stiles.
"Are you three okay?" I asked them but still too shocked by the events, their only answer was a single nod. Fortunately, I couldn't see a lot of damage to their bodies. Some light scratches the worst of their wounds.

╰┈˚ · ° . The classroom's floor was covered in feathers, deputies of the sheriff's department were everywhere, collecting statements from the students still with frenetic heartbeats caused by their fear. Some parents were present assisting their children as best they could.
Sitting with my legs crossed on a desk, I leaned my head on Alec's shoulder, his arm firmly wrapped around my waist drawing circles over my shirt. My grandmother was not far, she was talking with one of the deputies nearby but her eyes traveled more often than not to the dead corpses of the crows. Just like I was doing. The death presence in the air was heavily interlocked with our magic.
Allison was talking to her father, Mr. Argent's concerned frown was plastered to his face as he attended his daughter checking for wounds. All of this with Alec's steady glare on their back.
Lydia and Sebastian were huddled together near us. Mrs. Martin, Lydia's mom and Sebastian's mom near them. The two teens assuring her that they were fine.
Stiles was on my left. His father, being the sheriff, was overlooking the investigation. The human's focus was entirely on his phone, until his eyes snapped towards our new teacher.
Well, that was a hell of a first day— I thought to myself as I eyed the woman still completely in a shocked state.
But something within me, my magic, called to my senses. And it was not for something good.
"Ms. Blake? You okay?" Stiles asked as he carefully approached the teacher. His hand raised, the woman flinching at his movements "Uh, sorry, just... that." And with that, the boy took a feather still woven between the brunette locks of the woman before returning to his previous place next to us.
"Can you stop staring at him?" I asked Alec with a roll of my eyes as the shadow wolf never let his glare falter from the hunter.
"No." That was his answer.
"Mr. Argent," The Sheriff called the man making his way towards the father-daughter duo. "You wouldn't have any insight into this, would you?"
My eyes widened at the question, quickly exchanging a bewildered look with my boyfriend before returning my focus to the men.
"Me?" Argent asked, confused.
"Yeah. All this bizarre animal behavior, it's... you must have seen something like this before, right?" The sheriff Stilinki asked.
"I'm not sure why I would or why you would think I would." The Argent man's voice was filled with barely concealed annoyance at the insinuations.
"I'm sorry." Apparently understanding the tone, Stilinski said before adding. " I-I could've sworn I overheard my son talking about how you were an experienced hunter."
I whipped my head to my right where the son of the sheriff was, now looking at his feet with a sheepish look.
"Ah, right. Well, not anymore." Allison's dad answered curtly.
When the two men departed I couldn't help but slap the back of Stiles' head.
"Ouch, what was that for?!" Stiles shouted-whispered as he massaged the place where I had slapped him.
"You know why." I seethed not missing how my boyfriend chuckled.
Still winching, Stiles rolled his eyes at us. "I'm gonna call Scott." He said as he started to walk out of the classroom.
The deputies finally took both Alec's and mine statements, finishing just in time for when Stiles returned. Sending a tight lipped smile and nodding at the deputy, Stiles stopped near us.
"Scott wants us to meet him at your house." Stiles said, looking towards me.
I glanced at my grandmother with furrowed eyebrows before returning to look at Stiles "Why would he want to meet us at my house? Does he need a spell of some kind?" I said with sarcasm.
"Not our house." My grandmother said before Stiles could answer, giving me a small smile. "The Hale house."
"Ah." I said with a nod. "Derek is there?" I asked.
"Yes. Derek told him to make sure that you would come along and to tell you that Isaac is hurt."
"Hurt?" Alec asked through clenched teeth "How?"
I interlocked my hand with his, squeezing it tightly. Alec never cared to make friends since he came here. He was friendly with the other, well, mostly not but still, but with Isaac was different. I knew that he saw him as his friend.
"He was hurt by an Alpha." Stiles explained
"Alright." I said getting up from the desk. "I need to take some things from my locker before we go. I see you in ten." I quickly gathered my things receiving a nod from Stiles and a kiss on the crown of my head from Alec. "Grams." I motioned for her to follow me. She said goodbyes to the boy with a warm smile on her face before walking after me.
"Do you know what you need to do?" She asked more seriously as soon as we were alone walking towards my locker. I simply nodded my head. "You have everything with you?" Once again I just nodded my head. With a sigh, grams stopped me from walking with a hand on my arm. "What is it, sweetheart."
"If Derek asked specifically for me, it means that Isaac's wound's are serious. And even if he hates to admit it, Alec cares about him. He is his only friend. I can't- what if-"
"What if what?" She asked me.
I hesitated before letting out a breath before revealing my fear. "What if I can't save him and Alec will hate me for it?"
A smile bloomed on my grandmother's face." That boy couldn't never hate you. He loves you so much that sometimes it's scary." She answered with a little laugh before returning to a more serious tone " But you will save Isaac. You are a powerful witch with great knowledge. You can do it. I know you can." She gave a loving smile before she too said her goodbyes to me and turned to go back home.
I groaned out loud letting my head fall into my hands. I took a second to commiserate before coming out of my bubble and rushing to my locker where I saw Lydia, Allison and Sebastian all huddled there at Lydia's locker. I noticed how the two girls were massaging their wrists.
"Are you two okay?" I said quickly walking to them.
"Yeah." Allison said breathlessly, Lydia only nodded.
"No, actually. This weird chick grabbed their wrist and managed to bruise them." Sebastian scoffed with a glare in his blue eyes.
I widened my eyes, noticing the deep purple shade that both their fair skin had taken on the area around their wrist.
"Who was she?" I asked with a bite in my tone.
"I don't know. We never saw her." Allison replied confused as she recalled the unfamiliar woman.
Before I could open my mouth to demand how she looked so I could hunt her down, Lydia spoke.
"It's fine, Elle. You can take off that 'I'm going to kill her' look from your face." She rolled her eyes at me turning to look into her locker.
"She hurt you two. She deserves it." I shrugged my shoulders adding a disbelieving scoff.
"I agree." Seb said with a nod of agreement.
"Thank you. Someone here is sane." I added dramatically.
Lydia rolled her eyes, Allison let out a soft laugh. "It's okay, really. Maybe later " The Argent girl said with a small grin
My phone pinged with a new message. Fuck. I had totally forgotten about the others for a second.
"I have to go." I said quickly, putting my books in my locker and taking out my jacket.
"Is everything okay?" Sebastian asked with furrowed brows
"Yes. Well, not really. I'll explain later." I told them.
After saying goodbyes and promising them a face time tonight, I sprinted outside the school towards my car where Alec was already waiting for me next to the passenger side, walking back and forth.
"Why the hell did you take you so long?" The shadow wolf snapped as soon as he saw me.
My eyes narrowed at his tone. "Don't talk to me with that tone. I saw Lydia, Allison and Sebastian-"
"And couldn't you just talk to them later?" He snapped again, eyes darkening as his inner beast started to show more.
"Some unknown person left two big bruises on the girl's wrist. Sorry, I was making sure that they were alright." I snarled "Now, are you done so we can go?"
Alec's eye returned to his dark chocolate color. He clenched his jaw and quickly entered my car sitting in the passenger seat. I let out a breath filled with anger before I entered the car too. And soon, I was driving us towards the Hale house with Stiles following after us in his jeep.
───── ⋆⋅⋆。 ゚☽𖦹☾ ゚。⋆⋅⋆ ─────
╰┈˚ · ° . The ride was silent. Too silent. I didn't like it, but I was too stubborn to say anything. Shadow wolves had more difficulties controlling their animal and rage. And I knew he was afraid for his friend, his only friend, and was lashing out in fear of losing him.
His shadows were loose around his body, moving quickly and in a frenzy. His jaw was clenched tight, just like his hands. His eyes never looked away from the window on his side. He was stiff, too stiff, nothing like his usual self, and I hated it.
A tendril of pure darkness was traveling the air near the stick shift, another couple inching closer to the steering wheel before it was yanked back by their master.
I gulped at that. He loved when his shadows would automatically search for me. And I loved it too.
And then, another tendril loosened from his hold, again moving near the stick shift, but this time I lowered my hand to it, making it dance against my fingers. It was immediate, the way Alec's body reacted to it.
His jaw loosed the tight clench, his body slackened slightly and his eyes closed as he rested his head against the window. It made my lips twitch upwards but it wasn't until another and another shadow touched my right hand, coiling around my fingers and up my arm that a full soft smile graced my features.
"I love you." He said in a tone barely above a whisper.
"I know." I simply said as my fingers moved to play with his shadows
"And I'm sorry."
"I know." I once again said.
"Are they okay? Lydia and Allison, I mean." he asked still looking outside the car widow.
"Yes, they are fine." I replied turning my head towards him "I love you." A smile slowly bloomed on his pink lips that made me really want to kiss him.
"I know." This time he turned his head towards me to reply but before he could say anything though, I spoke again.
"Next time you want to fight, wait until there are no people around so I can use my magic on you and we can threaten to kill each other. It's not fun fighting otherwise."
Alec and I fighting was nothing new, maybe calling them a fight was wrong. It was more aggressive banter, but what we just did, it was really not fun. It was too real and I didn't like it. Not one bit.
"Fine, Amore. Next time I'll wait until we are alone." He said with laughter in his tone, winking at me. His eyes sparkling with mischief and chaos. [Love]
That was the look that I loved most on him.
───── ⋆⋅⋆。 ゚☽𖦹☾ ゚。⋆⋅⋆ ─────
╰┈˚ · ° . When we arrived at the old Hale manor, we rushed out of the car and inside the house.
The first thing that we saw once in the old living room was a passed out Isaac on a wooden table with Derek and Scott next to him.
"Witchy delivery arrived." I shouted with sarcasm as I passed the werewolf duo. I snapped my fingers, magic coursed out of me revealing the double doors that would let me inside the sunroom.
"Do you have everything that you need here?" Derek asked as the four followed after me. Alec and Derek stopping at the threshold, aware of the spell in place. Their arms not letting the other two enter. "There is a spell." I heard my cousin say.
"You really don't want to try to cross unless you want to be thrown five feet into the air." Alec snickered
"Just like you did?" I said, eyes twinkling with amusement as I gathered from my chest and around the room the material that I would need. "And yes, I have everything." I placed my thing on the floor near the table where Isaac was, instructing one of the guys to place the white candles all around us. "I just need one last thing." Taking a small glass jar I called for my cousin. "Blood from an alpha, better yet his alpha." I said with a smile.
Derek rolled his eyes but nevertheless he pierced the skin of his hand with his own claws making the blood drip inside the container.
"Gross." Stiles muttered as he watched us.
With a snap of my fingers the candles lit. With them, I could channel the energy of the fire. Gathering the precise herbs, I grinded them into the mortar pouring my magic into it as I went. Using Derek's blood and water to the dry mix, I finally poured it into a glass jar. Closing it with the cork, it was then that I muttered under my breath the spell. I got to my feet, pouring the liquid down Isaac's throat making sure to keep his head tilted slightly to help the liquid go down. I closed my eyes, placing my hand on his torso where the wound on the inside was still fresh and heavily bleeding. Wind started to blew into the room, gathering around me as another spell fell from my lips. And soon, only silence remained.
"Done." I said as I opened my eyes to see all of them looking at me with weird out expressions.
"Are you sure?" Derek asked me, eyes bouncing to me to Isaac.
I raised an eyebrow at him before rolling my eyes. "Yes, it will be sometime before he wakes up though. He needs to rest." I waved my hand blowing out the fire from the candles with my magic.
"In the meantime you can help me with that thing." Alec said with tilted upward lips.
"What thing?" I asked with narrowed eyes, earning a grin from the shadow wolf.
"Oh yes, Scott too." Alec added with a nod towards the beta's arm.
A second of silence followed his words before Derek spoke. "Fine."
Why the fuck did that deranged shadow wolf needed my cousin's help for?

Hello everyone!
Little bit of trouble in paradise.
I loved writing Seb, Lydia, Allison and Lizzie's friendship for this Act. These four are a power friend group.
As soon as I created Alec's character in my mind, I knew that I wanted him and Isaac to be friends. Alec saw how lonely Isaac was, it was like he felt before coming to Beacon Hills and starting a relationship with Lizzie. He saw himself in Isaac. and in my mind, they bonded about family traumas, lol.
I hope you liked this chapter. I want to say that this Act will be much more focused on Elizabeth witch's side.
Anyways, thank you for reading this chapter, I'll see you on Tuesday!
