╰┈˚ · ° .  WHILE WE WAITED FOR LYDIA TO FINISH HER APPOINTMENT WITH THE SCHOOL COUNSELOR, Allison, Scott, Stiles, Alec and I met in the coach office.

"Derek's outside waiting for Lydia." Scott said

"Waiting to kill her?" Allison asked her boyfriend while sitting on the desk

"If he thinks she's the kanima, then yes, especially after what happened at the pool." Scott answered

"It's not her." Stiles said

"Stiles, she didn't pass the test, man. Nothing happened." Scott tried to reason with his best friend

"No, it can't be her." Stiles insisted

"She is not the kanima." I told them

"How can you be so sure about it?" Scott asked me

"Because I just know" I just said. I didn't need to explain that I knew with all myself, all my senses that she was not the kanima. It wasn't even something that I thought I could explain to someone who isn't a witch. Well, at least Alec believed me.

"It doesn't matter, because Derek thinks it's her. So either we can convince him that he's wrong, or we've got to figure out a way to protect her." Allison said, panic slightly bleeding in her tone

"Well, I really don't think he's gonna do anything here, not at school" Scott said

"What about after school?" No one said anything after what Allison said "What if we can prove that Derek's wrong?"

"By three o'clock?" Alec asked. He was sitting on the coach's chair, one arm wrapped loosely around my legs as I stayed standing next to him

"There could be something in the bestiary." The argent girl suggested

Annoyance and sarcasm clear in Stiles' tone as he said "Oh, you mean the 900 - page book written in ancient Greek that none of us can read? Good luck with that."

"Wait" I said hearing this for the first time "It's in ancient Greek?"

"Yes" Scott said defeated

"And you never mentioned this before, why?" Alec asked

"Do you know who to read ancient Greek, Alec?" Stiles asked rhetorically not even giving him the time to answer before he spoke again "I don't think so. So this conversation is waisted time"

"I don't know how to read it." he nodded towards me "She, on the other hand, speaks a lot of dead languages."

Everyone turned towards me with a confused expression "You speak dead languages?" Allison asked

"The spells in my family are in latin, so that is how I know it. The other languages are just for passion, I guess" When I started it was because my father loved all ancient languages, that was how he met my mother. Learning them made me kind of feel closer to him in some way "Ancient Greek is not just one language. There are dialects and I honestly am much better with all the latin languages. But I can give it a try"

"I can talk to Derek, maybe convince him to give us a chance to prove that it's not her." Scott proposed "But if anything happens, you guys let us handle it, okay?" he said while pointing at the only three supernatural creatures in the room.

"What does that mean?" Allison asked

"That you can't heal like we do. I just don't want you to get hurt."

Allison, clearly annoyed by her boyfriend's words, turned around and searched in her bag. She took out a small crossbow and with a serious look. "I can protect myself." At the sad face that Scott was making Allison asked "What? Did something else happen?"

"I just don't want you getting hurt"

After that, I gathered that it was probably a private moment so I tried not to listen to their conversation. I turned around, looking down at Alec with a grimace on my face at how sweet the couple were being. The boy couldn't help but bringing me closer to him making me stand between his legs

"Seriously, if anything goes wrong, you call me, okay? I don't care if your dad finds out. Call, text, scream, yell, whatever. I'll hear you and I'll find you as fast as I can." We overheard Scott say to his girlfriend

When I looked at Alec's grinning face I already knew I was going to slap the shit out of him. For what he was going to say "Don't worry, little witch. I'll make you scream for me later."

"Oh for fuck sakes" I groaned trying to contain the insults that wanted to spill from my lips "After what you said you can forget the cuddles"

From the way he widened his eyes "You don't mean that"

Yes, the big bad shadow wolf was apparently a cuddler. I smirked and patted his cheeks. The sound of an arrow flying through the air was what made me focus back on the conversation.

Stiles had Allison's crossbow in his hand and had apparently shot Scott with it. Thankfully, his werewolf sense helped Scott to catch the arrow before it pierced his skin.

"Ah. Sorry. Sorry. Sensitive trigger on that." Stiles said apologetic giving back the Argent girl the crossbow

"Alec, are you coming with me?" Scott asked

The shadow wolf scoffed and just said "Is Elizabeth going? No. Then I'm definitely not coming with you."

Scott sighed but nodded his head nonetheless. We splitted up, Allison gave me the pages of the bestiary. I stayed in the office with Alec and tried to translate as much as I could while Stiles and Allison went to get Lydia. I probably had just ten minutes to translate those pages.

I quickly started to read but honestly, it wasn't very easy. Ancient Greek was very difficult and I wasn't very good at it.

"Do you have anything?" Alec asked me

I huffed out annoyed at this stupid bestiary and said "I don't know"

"Just tell what you understood, amore"

"The kanima like the wolf, its power is greatest at the moon's peak." I translated.

"The full moon" He said making me nod

I sat up and started to pace in front of the table, still trying to read it "There are a lot of words here I don't recognize. I need more time to translate the rest"

"Just try. Remember for who you are doing this"

I swallowed the lump in my throat and continued "Like the wolf, the kanima is a social creature, but where the wolf seeks a pack, the kanima seeks a... friend?"

"A friend?"

"I'm not sure. What do you think it means?"

A second of silence later Alec answered "Maybe it's lonely."

The conversation that we had about our fears came back to my mind. Loneliness was his. He didn't want to turn into his wolf and be alone for the rest of his life. I couldn't help it. I walked towards him and kissed him. Slow and full of passion hoping to make him understand with a kiss that he wasn't alone anymore. I couldn't tell him. The fear of him leaving me was still present in my heart for me to open up completely to him. Maybe one day.

And with that, the time for me to translate the bestiary was over. We quickly got outside and mounted Alec's bike, and without wasting another second, we speeded through the street of Beacon Hills

╰┈˚ · ° .  When we knocked on the door of Scott's house, I didn't expect all the locks and a chair to be used under the handle. All those security measures literally would do nothing to stop a werewolf.

"Where is Lydia?" I asked first thing as soon as Stiles let Alec and I inside

"Upstairs. With Jackson" Stiles said with distaste. I could agree on that

"Did you translate the bestiary?" Allison asked

"Some parts and I'm definitely not sure that is all right" I said with an annoyed sigh

"It said the Kanima is similar to the werewolves on some things, like when it's full moon it is at the peak of its strengths. But werewolves seeks a pack, the kanima a friend" Alec explained

"A friend?" Stiles asked "An homicidal supernatural creature who is lonely. Great. This is just awesome" Sarcasm dripping heavily from his words

Only silence followed his words. We waited and waited but as soon as the sun started to set, Derek and his pack appeared outside.

Alec was sprawled on the couch, not a care in the world. Me on the other hand, continued to pace back and forth until the shadow wolf had enough and dragged me down on the couch with him. In distance I could hear Allison talking to Scott on the phone but my mind was too clouded by my own thoughts.

"Tell me what are you thinking so hard about" Alec demanded in a raspy tone coated in tiredness, his eyes closed. "Ellie" He said my name when I still didn't talked

I huffed out an annoyed breath "I don't want to hurt him. Or seeing him hurt" I confessed in a whisper

"He is an alpha, Ellie. I'm pretty sure he will send his little puppies to do his job."

"Still"

He didn't say anything else. His lips pressed against my forehead and started to comb his fingers through my hair. "Are you tired?" I asked, noticing his tone. He hummed under his breath. "Already?" The sun was just setting

"I'm not sleeping well" He said hesitantly

"Why?"

His gorgeous dark brown eyes opened to stare at me. "I-" He closed his eyes again as he answered "I don't like sleeping alone."

"You don't?"

"Not since we slept together"

I didn't expect that, but as I was about to say something, Stiles' voice called for us. "Guys, I got an idea."

I groaned but still stood up from the couch, Alec behind me. "Can you do a spell? Make them fall asleep like you did to that deputy?"

I looked through the little windows next to the door "No. They are too far away"

"Okay, next plan. Shoot one of them" Stiles said to Allison

"Are you stupid? What kind of plan is that" I whispered-yelled

"Are you serious?" Allison asked panicked

"We told Scott we could protect ourselves, so let's do it. Or at least give it a shot, right? Look, they don't think we're gonna fight, so if one of them gets hit, I guarantee they'll take off. So just shoot one of 'em."

"This is not a good idea" I said

"Which one?" Allison still asked

"Uh - Derek. Yeah, shoot him, preferably in the head." That earned a slap on the head by me. One, because he just proposed to shoot my cousin with a killing shot. Two because he said to shot an Alpha with a small crossbow

"If Scott was able to catch an arrow, Derek definitely can." Allison

"Okay, uh, just shoot one of the other three then."

"You mean two." Alec said confused nodding with his head outside to the pack

"No, I mean three. Where the hell is Isaac?"

But as Allison started to take aim, I smelled Isaac in the house. And soon his glowing yellow eyes shined from the darkness of the house.

"Moventur" With my hand raised I casted my spell sending the wolf flying backwards. "Go, get Lydia" I yelled to Allison as Boyd and Erika moved

Stiles scrambled backwards giving us space to fight.

When Boyd appeared in the room, Isaac finally stood up once again.

"Well this will be fun" Alec smirked

"Let's do this with just normal wolves powers. What do you think?" I asked Alec, earning a wide grin from him. Our claws extended, fangs elongated with a roar and without wasting another second we attached. Isaac and Boyd were newly bitten, they were not trained into fighting and still trying to get used to their new supernatural status. The fight didn't last much and both went down quickly passing out on the floor.

"That was too easy. I'm kind of annoyed by it" Alec commented with a pout now that our human features were out again.

I couldn't help but smile at how cute he looked. From upstairs we heard a thud, and soon Scott appeared too. Seconds later he dragged a paralyzed Erika down the stairs, Allison following after him.

"Wait" I said to Scott, making him stop in his tracks. I kneeled next to a paralyzed Erica, moving her hair out of her face so I could see her and her me. "Stop acting like you are doing right now. Just because the bite gave you self-confidence, that does not mean you have the right to go after everyone. I'm all for fucking who you want to but going after people in a relationship or not stopping when someone tells you too just makes you a shitty person. You can do a lot Erica but not if you let your insecurities still control you." I grabbed her hair and smashed her head on the floor "That is for touching Alec" I repeated the action once again "And that is for not taking your hand off of him when he told you to" I stood up and looked at Scott, giving him a nod.

"That was so hot" Alec whispered in my ear with a wide grin before passing me and grabbing both Boyd and Isaac. With Scott they delivered the three betas at the feet of their Alpha that patiently waited outside the McCall house.

"I think I'm finally getting why you keep refusing me, Scott. You're not an omega, you're already an Alpha of your own pack." Derek said with a smile, his eyes traveling to those of us that stayed behind him. Allison, Stiles, Alec and I. "But you know you can't beat me."

Stepping next to Scott I looked at my cousin with a hardened look "Maybe not him, but I for sure can but..."

"We don't need to beat you" Scott continued after me "We can just hold you off until the cops get here."

I had chosen my place... And it wasn't with Derek's pack. But still, why did Scott have to call the police on him?

Siren started to sound in the distance but then the hissing of the Kanima echoed through the air. And there, on top of the McCall roof, was the Kanima.

I snapped my fingers and woken up the two passed out betas. Derek nodded at me in thanks before addressing the two male member of his pack that had just gained back consciousness "Take her out of here"

Steps followed his words and from the house an angry and confused Lydia stormed out "Would someone please tell me what the hell is going on?"

Understandment fell open all of us but it was Scott who spoke it out loud

"It's Jackson."

The Kanima was Jackson

Hello everyone!

I'm so sorry for not updating for this long and even past the date that I had told you but here we are again with a new chapter. The updating schedule is going to start again as normal for today!

I think that Erica (And actually Isaac too in this season) with the bite became really annoying people. How Erica acts is not right. She does not have confidence, she just acts like it. I think that she is still very much insecure. Hope I'm not the only one that thinks like this.
