"C'mon Aera, you have to take a shower!" Jungkook said, chasing her around the room as the girl kept running away from him, whining at the thought of bathing.
"Noo!" She gasped, wiggling and trying her best to get away from her brother's grip. Jungkook smirked confidently, finally getting a hold of the little girl and lifting her off the floor, as he grinned widely, leaning down and rubbing his nose against Aera's, making her giggle sweetly instead of throwing tantrums that she was doing for a while now.
"Showering is good, we don't want any stinky babies in here do we?"
Aera shook her head standing straight in front of bathtub while Jungkook got the shampoos and shower gels after placing her down on her feet. She looked down, removing her socks and sitting on the closed toilet seats as she waited for Jungkook to come back with her towel.
"Why are you sitting? Take off your clothes and put them in the laundry." Jungkook instructed, sighing at the end as it was his turn to do the laundry this week.
Aera stood up and turned around, "I can't do it." She said, showing the zipper on the back of her jumpsuit to the brother, who nodded and pulled the sipper down, helping her take it off.
Jungkook sighed, watching the kid ready to step in the bathtub as she was checking the temperature of the water for herself and throwing a few splashes at him. Remembering his job of making sure she takes a proper bath and not just wastes a lot of water, he took a step back to avoid getting himself wet from her continuous water-plays.
She could shower herself alone, without drowning in the tub, but Jimin had to make sure whether she was actually cleaning herself or not, as he had noticed how she just stands in the corner after turning the shower on so that the sound of the water can fool the brothers. And so, he often had to put a foot down and tell her that good girls bathe themselves nicely.
"Oppa" Jungkook heard, looking up from his phone and humming in response, "Look, I'm santa." She giggled, pointing at the beard she just made on her chin with the foam.
Jungkook chuckled, crouching near the tub, and capturing a picture of her face, "We don't need any other santa coming home on Christmas then, hmm?"
"No, he'll give us gifts."
"What do you want from santa?"
And there, Jungkook started a whole long list of toys, food, cars and literally every other thing in the world, that the seven year old had ever seen. The boy laughed, keeping his phone in his pocket and reaching his hands out to style Aera's hair like a shark's fin.
Aera laughed, gathering more foam and putting it on Jungkook's head, making the boy groan, "Aish! I'm not going to wash my hair right now Aera."
"Why not?" She giggled, putting more and making a mountain of foam on his head. He shook his head, taking off his shirt and putting his phone away, before scrunching his face at Aera who giggled at him showing her uneven teeth with gaps in between.
He turned on the shower and stepping in, pulling the girl to stand up, as she splashed more water on him, making his half pants to stick to his thighs.
....
"You said we have to take a shower quickly?" Aera said, looking up at Jungkook who was now sitting on the tub with Aera on his lap, enjoying the bubble bath with his favourite music playing in the background.
"Hmm" He responded, not really paying attention to what she said as she was busy arranging her duckies in the water to make them go in a line.
"Oppa?" She called, shaking his hand, "what is a virjeen?"
"A virjeen? I don't know, are you sure it's actually a word?" Jungkook said.
"Mm-hmm, it is a word, I've heard it."
"Oh then I'm sure you're mispronouncing it. Try using it in a sentence, maybe then I can figure it out?"
"In a sentence..." Aera thought for a second before nodding her head, still busy with the little, yellow duckies, "there's no way you are a virjeen"
Jungkook nodded, chuckling and said, "It's not virjeen, it's virgin- wait..." His eyes shot open, suddenly realizing it was his sister, who was barely seven years old, asking that, "Where the hell did you hear that from?"
"school" Aera answered, unbothered by her brother's distorted expression, all the relaxation and comfort from a few seconds vanished now as he stared at the little girl.
"From- from whom? Uh like who said that?"
"Our music sir," She said, glancing at him, "he said Eliah is not virjeen."
"Who is Eliah?"
"She's in fourth grade, she comes in the music class during recess." Aera said, standing up and gesturing him to get up as well, "I'm hungry, let's go now."
"Hmm yeah," He nodded slowly, replaying Aera's words in his head, thinking why a teacher would say something like that to a fourth grader, "Are you sure you heard it right?"
Aera nodded, "He was asking me too, but I said I don't know, can you tell me?"
Jungkook's eyes widened, instantly leaning down to match his sister's height, as he grabbed her by her shoulders, "He asked if you're a virgin?"
"Yeah, but I don't know what that means."
"Is he.. uh does he like say anything else or maybe touch you or something?" He asked cautiously, hoping for his fear to not come true, as he stared at Aera's face desperately, chewing on his lower lip in nervousness.
"Like this" She tilted her head, roaming her hand on her chest and down to her abdomen, reaching further till her thighs and between. Jungkook blinked a few times, feeling his organs collapsing inside him, as he brought her closer and hugged her tightly, anger gradually filling up his body at the thought of a pervert grown man doing this to little kids.
"Let's go out, hmm?" He heard his own voice say and washed away the foam from their bodies, deciding to first talk to his hyungs about this.
He wrapped Aera's towel around her body, telling her to go and get him a towel as well, the girl nodded running out to the room and back in the bathroom in a few seconds, handing a towel to her brother.
Aera wore her PJs and brushed her wet hair, making them stick to her head and smiled satisfactorily sitting on the bed looking like a good girl. Jungkook entered the room, wearing his sweatpants and a towel around his neck, he picked up the dryer and plugged it in, calling Aera over to dry her hair as well.
"I smell nice." She said, glancing up at Jungkook.
"Yeah, great." He nodded, smiling a little as his thoughts about how bad things could possibly be, kept haunting him to death. "We need to talk." He said suddenly.
"What?" Aera asked.
"Uhm go and call everyone in the living room, I'm coming, okay?" Jungkook asked, leaning down and taking her hand to kiss her palm, earning a smile from the girl as she ran out of the room, shouting for all her oppas to gather in the living room as Jungkook instructed.
"Did you do something?" Yoongi asked, eyeing the youngest boy, who sighed, shaking his head.
"It's about Riri, she told me something about her school, and now it's really making me worried." Jungkook said, glancing at his sister who was busy playing on Jimin's iPad with the headphones on, as he didn't want her to be worried or scared or even misterpret the elders' conversation.
"What is it?" Jimin asked.
"Uh a few minutes ago, we were just relaxing in the bathtub, when she suddenly asked what virgin meant, and when I asked her where she heard it from, she said her music teacher asked her and a fourth grader if they're a virgin..." Jungkook said, "and she said, he touches her inappropriately."
The room filled with a silence for a moment as the boys exchanged serious glances before Jimin decided to speak, "She told you that?"
"Yeah, she wasn't even bothered about it, she doesn't even know that man is doing something wrong with her and the other kids."
"God!" Yoongi breathed out, "What kind of people are there?! She's just seven years old for fuck's sake!"
"Yoongi-ah, stop cursing, she's right here." Jin said, sending a strict glance at him.
"How come she never told us?" Taehyung asked.
"She must be thinking it was normal, or maybe that man told her not to say anything to anyone?" Namjoon added.
"We've to talk with her first," Jimin said, turning to the kid, and patting her shoulder. Aera looked up at him and removed the headphones, "Come here." He said.
Aera kept the iPad away and shifted towards Jimin, sending a cute grin as she climbed on his lap quickly as she stared at him waiting for him to speak. Jimin smiled softly, kissing her forehead once and glancing at the others, virtually telling them to keep quiet and let him talk to her as there was still a possibility that she won't tell the whole thing.
"How's school?" He asked.
"Good," She answered, "I made a new friend, she came in my class two days ago."
"That's great, how about other activities? Art, dance, music?"
"They're fine too, but I like dance and art more."
"Oh not music?" Jimin asked, "You like singing and playing instruments, right?"
Aera nodded slowly lowering her gaze, "Yeah but, they don't do that."
"What do they do then?"
"...uhm they- no, that's a secret." She said, shaking her head.Jimin glanced at the others who had their eyes fixed on the little girl, all of them praying for the same thing. Jungkook sighed deeply, averting his gaze as he leaned back closing his eyes,
"I'm going to kill that guy, if he does anything stupid." He threatened through gritted teeth, pulling the others out of their trans.
"We don't keep secrets from our family, baby. You can tell me, or maybe whisper it to me, nobody's hearing then." Jimin smiled, suggesting a new idea, making Aera think for a moment as she nodded finding the suggestion of her brother acceptable.
She sat straight leaning closer to his ear and said, "He says we can play games, and Eliah is his favorite."
"What game?"
"I don't know, it's really weird, he tells her to take off her clothes and then he touches her. I said it's a bad thing to do, but he said it was fine, and I shouldn't say that or else he will punish me..."
Jimin closed his eyes, inhaling deeply and nodded his head, "He touches all the kids like that?"
"Not all, Eliah, Sam and that girl I don't know her name, she's in seventh grade I think." Aera said.
"And- and does he touch you too?"
"He didn't tell me to take my clothes off" Aera shook her head.
Jimin sighed, repeating again, "Alright, but I'm asking if he touches you or not?" Aera nodded, making his heart almost stop beating, "Can you tell me where?"
She pointed at her chest, stomach, thighs and back, making Jimin avert his eyes, as he blinked his tears away, imagining how this little girl didn't even know what was happening with her and the man was just taking advantage of an innocent soul.
He pulled her closer to his chest and hugged her tightly, kissing the side of her head a few times, "You don't have to worry, I'll make sure that man suffers for what he did."
Aera looked at him with a frown, not really understanding what he meant by that, but didn't ask anything as she remembered something instead, "Can I tell you one more secret?"
"Yes honey," Jimin nodded.
"Y'know that day, Eliah was there and that other girl, and they were crying. I asked her what happened and they said music sir punished them. I thought it must be some serious punishment because they were crying so much, so I didn't wanted to get punished too." Aera said in a scared voice, "He's scary, please don't say anything to him, what if he punishes me in school?"
"You don't have to be scared, baby. He can't do anything to hurt you." Jimin said, caressing her back, "Tell me one thing," he asked softly, "Do you remember what good touch and bad touch means?"
Aera nodded instantly, smiling as she knew the answer, "You told me, I remember. Good touch is when we're comfortable, and bad touch is when we're not comfortable."
"Yes, did you know his touch was bad?"
"I didn't like it..." She said.
"Then why didn't you tell him to stop or tell us he was touching you like that, princess?"
"He said he'd punish me if I tell anyone, and you won't believe me."
Jimin sighed and kissed the tip of her nose, "That's not true, baby. Oppa will always believe his princess, no matter what anyone else says. You don't have to be scared or hide anything from me."
"Really?" Aera asked, smiling at him happily.
"Yes, my baby."
"Thank you oppa." She chirped, hugging him tightly, making him smile as he hugged her back.
"No one except you can touch your body, and you have every right to stop them and tell them a firm No if someone ever touches you against your wishes. There's nothing to be scared of in that, people like your music teacher needs to be punished for their bad deeds." He said.
"Yeah, I'm sure all of us agree to that?" Yoongi said, earning nods from the rest of the boys, "We have to take some action, this can ruin so many young lives."
"How long has he been doing this?" Jimin asked.
"I don't know," Aera shrugged, "Eliah knows him longer than I do."
"And how long have you known him?"
"A month? No, it was after my Birthday, he called me in the music room."
Jimin nodded, realizing it's been more than a month since that filthy man has been touching his sister inappropriately and probably longer to many other kids. He patted Aera's back, gave her the iPad back, letting her go and continue playing.
"Not to scare you or anything, but Aera's too young, she doesn't know what's wrong and what's right, there's a high chance of her thinking a lot of stuff from her music teacher as normal and possibly correct." Namjoon said, "We don't know what she has seen, like she said about the other two girls who were crying, I really hope it's not what I'm thinking."
"I know," Jin nodded, "and I'm really confused why their parents didn't take any action till now."
"Maybe they didn't tell them?" Jungkook said.
___
Aera smiled at her friends heading out of her class, happy that it's time to go back home and she can finally have her chocolate cookies and complete her painting with Jungkook and Taehyung. Skipping her way towards the exit of the hallway which was filled with movements of kids coming and going, she felt a hand on her shoulder.
"Aera, hello kiddo." The man said, Han Sungbin. Aera remembered her brothers' words and pulled herself away from the dirty man.
He raised his eyebrows, smirking at her small figure and grabbing her hand, replacing the smirk with a sweet smile as he looked around, "Let's go, your friend is calling you."
"My friends went home, and I'm going home too." She said, trying to remove his hand from hers. "My oppa is waiting, I have to go."
"Your oppa didn't come, baby." He said.
"I'm not your baby." Aera frowned, not liking the way he used her brother's nickname for her, "Leave me."
"Why? C'mon, we have to finish some work." He said, letting go of his sweet and slippery tone from a moment ago on noticing Aera's firm determination to go home.
The hallway turned empty in a few minutes as Sungbin pulled Aera with him, ignoring all her protests to let her go. Her eyes filled with tears, letting out a sob as she saw the same scene all over again on entering the room. Eliah, the nine year old girl, crying in the corner, sitting with her pants off. Sam, the eleven year old boy, sitting near Eliah, also crying as he shut his eyes tightly touching the girl. Aera yanked her hand away rushing towards the girl and pushing Sam away, although being careful not to hurt him.
"Don't cry, I'll call my oppa, he'll help us." Aera whispered.
"Aera..." Sam whispered softly, eyeing at the taller figure standing behind him, making Aera turn around and gasp on seeing the music teacher's scary expression.
"Go away!" Aera shouted, falling back as Eliah pulled her hand, shaking her head telling her not to mess with this man.
"He'll punish you too Aera, don't say anything to him." The older girl whispered, pulling Aera behind her and Sam, who shifted forward to keep the youngest away from Sungbin.
"But he's doing wron-"
"Come in the front." Sungbin ordered in a firm voice, making the kids flinch. Sam glanced at Eliah and held Aera's hand gesturing her not to get up from her place.
The man scoffed, stepping forward and grabbing Aera in his arms, lifting her off the ground and making her stand in front of him, earning several cries from her as she held onto Sam's hand tighter.
"Strip"
Aera continued crying with her eyes closed, taking a step back as she had never seen him so mad. Eliah, stood up, standing next to her and patted her back.
"Do as he says, Aera, or else he'll punish you." She said with a worried face, as if she didn't want the younger girl to be punished the way she had experienced.
"Strip, I said!"
Aera glanced at the other two, not knowing what their teacher was asking her to do, "Sam, help the girl." The man ordered, making the boy shut his eyes tightly, not wanting to undress a girl who he treated like his younger sister. He stood up with a heavy heart, stopping near Aera as she hugged him tightly, crying in the fabric of his shirt.
"I'm really sorry." He whispered with tears streaming down from his face at the thought of doing something like this to a little girl who doesn't even what it means.
"You bastard!" The kids startled, turning their heads at the loud voice followed by several footsteps rushing in. Aera gasped, seeing Jimin dropping on his knees as he hugged her tightly.
"Oppa..." she sobbed on his shoulder.
"My baby, everything is okay, don't cry." He whispered softly, rubbing her back and stroking her hair while his eyes wandered to the other side of the room watching the other two kids hugging their parents who apologized for not believing them earlier and letting them suffer alone.
"Mr Jeon," He heard and stood up, carrying his sister in his arms as she kept hugging him, "We'll take him now, he needs a good lesson for what he did." The police officer said, gesturing his hand towards his two mates who were holding a handcuffed Sungbin.
"Thank you so much officer." Jimin said, shaking hands with the uniform man as he smiled back.
"No problem, Mr Jeon, it's our job. In fact I'm glad you reported about the crime timely, we never know what else people like him might be planning."
Jimin nodded agreeing with him and glanced at the family across the room as the cops took their leave, taking the music teacher with charges of Sexual assault and Child abuse filed against him.
"Are you okay?" Jimin asked, wiping Aera's tears and caressing her head.
"Yeah, but he was so angry, and telling me to stip."
"Sti- Oh..." Jimin understood, mentally cursing at the man.
"I was so scared oppa," Aera said,
"It's okay, oppa's here now and everything is okay. Sungbin is gone with the cops, where he'll know what happens on doing something bad."
Aera nodded, smiling at him and kissed his cheek, "Aera" they heard a voice say. Jimin smiled at the kids and placed Aera on her feet, assuming they wanted to talk to her.
"Thank you for everything Mr Jeon." Eliah's father said.
"It's fine, you don't have to thank me," Jimin smiled, "I'm glad I could help your kids. Just y'know, please talk to them at home, tell them what's right and what's not, listen to them, and try to trust them too. Imagine, you're telling something to your child and they don't believe you or say you're making things up, how would you feel?"
The parents nodded at his words, "You're not even a parent yet, and still have such a great understanding about parenting, that's great."
Jimin chuckled, shaking his head and glanced at Aera, "It's all thanks to Aera." He said, ruffling her hair, making her look up and grin at him, showing her partially present teeth.
"I'm sure your parents must be so proud of you right now."
"I hope they are." Jimin smiled, glancing down at his sister and patting her back, "Shall we go now? Say bye to your friends."
"Yeah, just a second," Aera nodded and pointed at Eliah and Sam, "they wanna say something to you."
"Yes?" Jimin glanced at them, the kids smiled softly and stepped forward giving him a quick hug. He smiled and patted their backs, chuckling as he saw Aera instantly joining them as well.
"Thank you for helping us, oppa." Eliah said.
"Yes, thank you, hyung." Sam said.
"Aw no problem." He smiled, patting their heads, "Can we expect a little party at Aera's place? Will you both join her?"
"Yes!"
"Yay! A party!" Aera clapped her hands, glancing up at her brother. "We can play in my tenthouse and my car!"
"Yes, now let's go we have to prepare everything." Jimin said, waving at the other two kids who were smiling widely. Aera tugged on her brother's hand before running out of the room, sticking her tongue out at him, making him shake his head and jog behind her, after smiling at kids and bowing to their parents.
"I wish I had a brother like him." Eliah whispered, smiling faintly at the sight of Jimin, lifting Aera off the ground, making her laugh as she got caught.
_____
A/N :- Hello everyone! I hope you all are doing good.
I had this chapter in mind for a while, and I finally managed to write it, because we all know it's an important issue. Sexual harassment among children is quite common as most of the time the kids don't know that something bad is happening, they start thinking of the bad behavior as anything normal, which later develops into a toxic mentality when they grow up into older individuals.
Every child deserves love and needs to be trusted. Child abuse is a crime and the abuser must be punished. It is our duty as healthy and capable citizens of the society to make the world a better place to live. Your little help can save many lives.
I've tried my best to write it nicely, I hope didn't fail in objective to raise awareness. This was a long chapter, almost 4K words.
Love you all, thanks for reading. Vote if you liked the chapter ❤️
