THE RIDE TO THE DOJO WAS dangerously quiet, the only sound in the air was the roaring engine of Hawk's car and his uneven breathing, angry and upset that the only thing keeping his confidence, was now gone.

The silence was deadly, the awkwardness making Lexi feel uneasy as it has never been this quiet between the couple before. She wanted to tell Hawk to stop the car so she can simply hug him and let him cry his emotions out onto her shoulder, but instead, other words came out of her mouth.

"Eli, are you okay?" It was a stupid question, really. Of course, he wasn't okay and by those words, Lexi made everything worse.

"What the hell do you think?" Hawk's tone wasn't sarcastic, nor was it soft. His voice was dark and his words were poisonous, a tone he has never used on his girlfriend until now. Lexi's eyes widened, this tone of voice never being used before. Her heart was palpitating faster by the second and all she could think about was how much pain he was in right now.

"Eli, you can talk to me? It's not good to hold in your emotions like this."

"You know what can you just shut up for one fucking second! I don't have to tell you everything you know," Hawk yelled, his voice piercing one another, the echo from the car not making it any better. Lexi slumped in her seat, not even recognizing the person sitting next to her. That was not her boyfriend, no, this was a man who wasn't filled with love and purity. He was filled with atrocious actions and anger.

"Oh? So as your girlfriend, do you simply want me to sit back and do nothing and not support you as you go through a crisis?" Lexi was evidently sarcastic, her words were stated plainly. She looked outside her window, tears already streaming down her cheeks, but she didn't want Hawk to see.

"Yes, don't do anything. I don't need you to patronize me every time you think I need help. This is all your fault. Fuck, this was a mistake." Hawk immediately regretted his words, but his stubbornness was not leaving his thick skull anytime soon, so he continued to stay angry.

Despite her bloodshot eyes, Lexi whipped her head towards Hawk, the tears that were starting to dry, were now continuously coursing down her face once again.

"Where the hell is all of this coming from? One, I'm not patronizing you. And two, how is this my fault?"

"You make me weak. You let my guard down and now my hair is gone because of you. This is all because of you. I shouldn't have let myself love anyone that I knew would break me in the future." Hawk's mind consistently kept telling him to shut his ignorant mouth, but he didn't. Instead, he said words out of anger, not even meaning them, soon to be filled with regret later.

Lexi couldn't even fathom the poisonous words that escaped her boyfriend's mouth. Her eyes widened, mouth gaped open, questioning if she heard his words correctly. She didn't know where all of these harsh and painful words were coming from, but what he said seemed to be genuine in Lexi's mind and her heart crumbled into a million pieces, not even sure if she was still breathing.

Her skin went cold, her arm being peppered with goosebumps, that bone-chilling statement making her joints sting from the pain of Hawk's words.

"You know what, stop the car," Lexi mumbled, barely above a whisper.

"What? We're going to the dojo," Hawk said completely oblivious of Lexi's progressing anger. She had enough ad suddenly, her temper exploded.

"I said stop this fucking car right now!" Hawk stomped on the brakes and before Lexi could even step out of the painful atmosphere, Hawk gripped her wrist, preventing her from leaving. Lexi tried to writhe out of his grip tightening hand, but it was no use.

"Where the hell are you going, get back in the car right now. It's dark outside."

"Why would you care? I'm just a mistake, right?" Lexi seethed through her teeth, repeating Hawk's vicious words. "This is unfair. If I'm a mistake to you, then there's no point."

"No point for what? Our relationship?" Hawk asked sarcastically, his voice venomous. "You're right, there is no point." There was silence between the estranged couple for a while before Hawk spoke up again.

Deep inside, Hawk was screaming, his inner emotions screaming to be released so he can hug Lexi and kiss her to say he's sorry, but instead, the words that were on his mind, not his heart, were released.

"I think we should take a break."

Lexi looked up to Hawk, not even attempting to suppress her emotions right now. Her eyes were swelling up from crying and her cheeks were puffy. Lexi's mind was permanently fixated on agreeing with Hawk, so what she did next shocked, yet came naturally to the girl.

"No, not a break. I'm done. We're done. Go fuck yourself, Hawk." Lexi slammed the door shut, the vibrations reverberating on the cement. Deep inside Lexi's mind, she wanted Hawk to get out of the car and run up to her and tell her he messed up, but instead, he sped off, abandoning Lexi in the same neighborhood as the Cobra Kai dojo.

It was no mistake that Lexi was upset, so the walk to her brother's dojo was incredibly awkward as she walked by pedestrians who gave her looks of sympathy and curiosity. Luckily for her, nobody walked up to Lexi, so she was able to sulk in her emotions alone as to how she wanted it to be.

Before she knew it, Lexi was in the parking lot of the Cobra Kai dojo and she angrily ripped the door open, ignoring the calls of her name from the various Cobra's. Kreese wasn't even attempting to stop the girl, in fact, a smirk was plastered on his face, knowing that action was about to happen.

Robby noticed his sister and was about to talk to her, but before words could even spur out, his wrist was angrily gripped by his sister, Lexi dragging him into the backroom to yell at him in a more secluded area.

"Did you know what you just did to me? Hawk broke up with me because I was apparently a 'mistake' to him. This is all your fault, you're the one who instigated everything and you didn't even dare to think about my emotions. All you care about is your fucking rivalry and you were so blinded, you didn't even think to see how it would affect your sister."

Lexi knew deep inside it wasn't Robby's fault, not really, it was Hawk's when he confirmed his emotions, but she needed to take out her anger on someone.

"I didn't instigate anything. As a matter of fact, if that is what Hawk was thinking the entire time and was just suppressing his emotions, then maybe it's a good thing he broke up with you," Robby retaliated, him becoming almost just as angry as Lexi. This just made Lexi angrier, her tears not even dared to be hidden.

The rest of the Cobra Kai students were muttering things to each other and Tory wanted to check up on her friend, but Kreese put his hand up preventing her from doing so, so the siblings could have their privacy.

"Are you not hearing what I'm saying? You drove away the one person who kept me contained from making me wish I was dead!" The entire dojo was quiet, even behind closed doors, Lexi's voice rang through the walls of the entire strip mall. Robby's angry demeanor instantly softened, immediately regretting his actions.

"Lexi, I'm so sorry-"

"No, I hate you! You ruined my life. I hate you! I hate you! I hate you." Lexi screamed all of her anger into one sentence as she pounded her fists on Robby's chest, him staying in place, barely moving from her movements. She didn't even realize her body was collapsing towards Robby, as he instinctively embraced his sister in a heart-wrenching hug.

Lexi, instantly hugged back, her tight grip almost squeezing out all the oxygen from Robby's body. The wall behind her thick indelible skull was now disintegrating and she felt vulnerable, too vulnerable, but right now, the only person she knew she could truly count on, was her brother.

"Shh, let it all out, Lexi. You don't have to hide your emotions, not from me." More uncontrollable sobs left Lexi's mouth and she hated to feel so vulnerable like this. There were tear stains on Robby's gi, but he didn't mind, wanting his sister to refrain from hiding her pain.

The sounds of the door opening made both heads turn to see that Tory was standing there, a sympathetic look written all over her face. At the sight of the blonde girl, Lexi ran towards Tory and embraced her in a tight hug. Typically, Tory would pry off the person, not even letting anyone go near her, but for Lexi, she was an unquestionable exception.

"I'm here, Lex. If you ever need anything, remember I always got your back," Tory said, hugging back the shaking girl.

"I think I should take her home," Robby said, interrupting the moment between the girls. Tory nodded her head as she pulled away from Lexi.

"Text me if you need anything, Lex. Okay?" Lexi nodded her head and let out a broken smile, thankful for having a friend like Tory. Robby grabbed his backpack and water bottle before telling Kreese that he was leaving practice early. Kreese didn't deny Robby, seeing how distraught Lexi looked. He never admitted this to anyone, but Kreese had a soft spot for the LaRusso-Lawrence teen.

Lexi recomposed herself as she turned away from theย  drilling stares of the other Cobra's and from her peripherals, Lexi could see Tory glaring at them to look away. Lexi couldn't hide the small tug on the edge of her lips, seeing Tory stand up for her like that.

"Do you want to go to Dad's house or Daniel's?"

Robby stopped the car engine as he parked in the space near Johnny's van. Lexi let out a frustrated sigh, Robby turning to her with worry laced in his emerald eyes.

"Are you sure you want to go home so quickly? I'm sure Dutch Bros is still open right now." Robby didn't take Lexi home immediately, instead, he drove her around places, hoping to cheer up her mood more to get her mind off of Hawk. It was nearly twelve a.m and Lexi's mind was still fixated on the fact that Hawk considered her as a mistake.

"Yeah, I'm sure. Thanks for trying to cheer me up, Robby, I really do appreciate you." Robby muttered a small 'you're welcome' and Lexi turned away to walk to the front door of Johnny's apartment, but before she could get far, she turned around to see Robby with a curious look.

"I'm sorry about what I said today. I didn't mean it when I said I hated you. I actually love you, you're an amazing older brother." Robby flashed a smile, the smile that always brightened any room.

"It's okay. And I love you too, little sister," Lexi smiled and was nearly about to reach the doorknob, but before she could, Robby's voice pierced her ears once again.

"Not that I'm on Hawk's side, but I knew you didn't mean what you said today. Maybe he didn't mean what he said too?" That question made Lexi's head spin. She never thought about it until now and she wanted to believe that Hawk didn't mean it, but her persistent mind was telling her otherwise.

"Maybe, but I'm pretty sure he meant it. Goodnight, Robby." Lexi heard Robby's car drive away, the sounds of the engine descending. Opening the door to the apartment, Lexi's head was held low, already knowing Johnny was worried when she didn't answer his calls.

"Dad, I'm so sorry for not calling back. A lot of shit happened today, and I was hanging out with Robby." Lexi expected to hear Johnny's booming voice, but instead, it was deadly silent. So incredibly silent, it became suspicious.

But when Lexi turned around to face her living room, all she saw was Johnny, sitting on the couch with a woman who she has never seen before.

"Um, Dad, who is this?" Lexi noticed how uneasy Johnny looked and she was starting to get worried. "Dad?"

"L-Lexi, this is Annie." Lexi had confusion on her face, not recognizing the name.

"Who's Annie?" Johnny sighed again before looking back at the older woman then his daughter. Lexi wasn't sure what was happening, but she didn't have a good feeling about what was coming next and she was right.

"Annie. As in Annabeth Grayson. Sweetie, this is your mother."
