PIPER LITA was eight years old when she did a presentation on clumsiness for her elementary school's public speaking contest. To be clever, she tripped on her way up the stage, dropping her note cards all over the place. Then, she pulled the real ones out of her pocket, saying, "If you're going to be clumsy, it pays to be prepared!"

PIPER LITA was thirteen years old when her parents were murdered right before her eyes as she walked through the front door after coming home from a friend's house. Her screams were loud enough to startle the masked man in her living room and grab her neighbor's attention. That day, she saw something unexplainable that she didn't dare tell anyone about.

PIPER LITA was twenty years old when she got struck by lightning on January 7th, 2010, and fell into a coma for six months before waking up to a world filled with meta-humans and supervillains. A purple strike of lightning had struck her heart that night and ignited something inside her. Now, filled with the power to help others, she became Expedite. Earth Four's first speedster.

PIPER LITA was twenty-five years old when she royally screwed up.
