A/N: Eclipse belongs to GeekyCookie1.
Japanese Translations:
"ฤ, yokatta!" - "Oh, thank goodness!"
"Fear. It's the most basic, the most human, emotion. As children, we were afraid of everything. The dark, the boogeyman under the bed, and we'd pray for morning. For the monsters to go away but trust me when I said this, they never really do because once fear grabs onto you, it doesn't plan on letting go and it's up to you to find the courage to face that fear one day. And believe me, I know all about that too well."
WITHIN THE DOJO, both Henry and Eclipse were sparring against each other while Leonardo and Raphael sparred against each other as well. Entering the lair with the purple masked mutant turtle not so far from behind was Briana, who wore a grin on her face at the latest invention that she and Donatello made.
"Check it out, guys!" Donatello said. "We're about to take our ninjstu to a whole new level!"
"Cool," Leonardo said as he crouched down and swept his leg out, knocking Raphael to the ground as he grunted and fell to the ground.
"What did you guys make this time?" Henry asked curiously, looking over for a second while Eclipse took the chance to swept her leg out and knock him onto the ground.
Donatello nodded at the purple haired girl, who beamed as she carefully took one of the eggs he was holding. "Last night, Donnie and I figured out how to make... ninja smoke bombs!"
Briana then threw the egg to the ground, and with a loud bam, she disappeared in a huge explosion of purple smoke. Another explosion came from behind Raphael, Henry, Leonardo, and Eclipse, and the purple smoke cleared to reveal Briana standing before them. Then, Donatello threw the one he was holding to the ground and disappeared in a puff of purple smoke before another puff of purple smoke appeared and cleared to reveal the mutant turtle standing beside Briana.
"Whoa..." Leonardo, Raphael, Henry, and Eclipse looked amazed while both Henry and Raphael stood up from the ground.
"Now," Donatello began. "To make them, we carefully drilled two holes in an eggshell without cracking it, slowly blew out the contents, waited for the inside to try, then poured in flash powder, and sealed both holes with wax."
"Blah, blah, science, blah! Do it again!" Raphael urged.
"What I'm trying to tell you guys is that they take a long time to make," Donatello said seriously. "So use them sparingly."
"I'm making breakfast!" Michelangelo called out from the kitchen. "Who wants omelettes?"
"Omelettes...?" Briana whispered to herself before her sapphire blue eyes widened as she gasped. "Mikey, don'tโ!"
Bam! In an explosion of purple smoke, Michelangelo appeared in the dojo, coughing and covered with black smudges. "Ugh... I think that was a rotten egg." He groaned, looking at the bowl that he thought was filled with rotten eggs.
Eclipse brought her hands up to her mouth to contain her laughter while Henry held back the snickers that threatened to come out. Even Leonardo couldn't contain himself as he leaned on Raphael's shoulders while he laughed.
"Those aren't eggs, Mikey," Donatello said. "They're ninja smoke bombs."
Michelangelo froze, staring at Donatello in pure shock and amazement. "Shut up...!" He took one of the bombs in the bowl and threw it on the ground. Bam! He reappeared on top of a branch of the tree. "This...!" Bam! He reappeared next to the truck. "Is the best day...!" Bam! He reappeared above them, looking as though he were defying gravity. "Of my life!" Bam!
"Mikey! You can't use them all at once!" Briana scolded, watching as the orange masked mutant turtle reappeared on the ground in front of them.
Michelangelo grinned mischievously, dropping the bomb in his hand. Bam! Donatello facepalmed while Briana sighed, shaking her head. Michelangelo jumped up from behind the two and hugged them from behind. "I love you, guys!" He kissed Donatello's cheek then Briana's cheek. "Seriously!"
Not being able to stay mad about the smoke bombs anymore, Briana smiled softly at those words, wanting nothing more than to let those words sink in yet the walls she kept up when it came to her doubts doesn't let them.
Henry's ears picked up the sound of running footsteps. "Guys!" April's voice reaches them. At once, they all ran into the living room to find April sprinting towards them, looking terrified. "You'll never believe what happened to me!"
"Alright, April, calm down," Donatello said gently, putting a hand on her knee once she sat down on the couch.
"I am being hunted... by a giant pigeon!" April said, causing the seven of them to stared at her with blank expressions.
Raphael, however, started laughing instead till he noticed that everyone was staring at him as he fell silent. "I can't be the only one who finds that funny."
"It's not funny, Raph!" Donatello stood. "There's a creature out there trying to hurt my April!" Henry facepalmed at his words while April stared at him, eyebrows raised. Donatello blushed, looking embarrassed. "Our April," he corrected. "April."
"This is serious," Michelangelo said as he lifted a bomb. "I better get Splinter."
"Don't use a smokeโ" Briana tried to stop him from wasting the smoke bombs since like the purple masked mutant turtle had said, they take a long time to make.
Michelangelo dropped it and bam! Briana shook her head and when the smoke cleared, Splinter stood there instead of Michelangelo.
"Michelangelo said you wanted to see me?" Splinter asked.
Then, everyone listened as April told them what happened. "...His talons were razor sharp!" She explained. "He would've tore me into pieces! If he hadn't slammed into the glass..."
Raphael, who had been reading a comic book, burst into laughter again but quickly calmed down when he saw no one else laughing. "Really? Just me?"
Splinter jabbed the end of his staff on top of Raphael's head. "Raphael! Clearly, April is upset."
"Yeah, dude! That's so insensitive!" Michelangelo leaned towards April. "Do you need a tissue?"
"I think I'm okay."
"I'll get you a tissue." He tossed the bomb and disappeared. A second later, there was another bam and he reappeared. "We don't have any tissues. Can I make you some soup?"
Briana shot Donatello a pleadingly expression that he got the message and quickly snatched the smoke bomb out of his hands. "Stop it!" Donatello snapped. "Don't worry, April, we won't let anything happen to you."
"Donnie's right," Leonardo agreed. "We're gonna set a trap for this Pigeon-Man, and make sure he never bothers you again. First thing's first: how are we gonna set the trap exactly?"
Donatello shrugged. "Well, I know what we can use as bait."
"Bread crumbs!" Michelangelo piped up. Donatello stared at him. "Pigeons eat bread crumbs."
"I meant April." Donatello said.
"You're gonna let him eat April!?" Michelangelo shouted, standing protectively in front of their friend. "I thought you liked her!"
"Yeah!" April agreed, not so sold on the plan.
"Don't sweat it! We got your back." Donatello promised.
"Alright, Mighty Mutants," Leonardo said. "Let's do this!"
"It hurts to listen to you sometimes." Eclipse told him in all seriousness, rolling her eyes at the name.
"Mighty Mutants?" Raphael questioned. "What, 'Dancing Dorks' was already taken? And Hen and Bri aren't even mutants!"
"I'm working on it, alright?" Leonardo said.
They all turned and headed for the exit. "Wait!" Splinter called out. They all turned to face him. "We do not yet know what you are facing. Perhaps you should study the enemy before confronting him."
"With all due respect, sensei," Henry said as he and Leonardo were standing next to each other. "It's a pigeon."
"What you know is dangerous to your enemy," Splinter said seriously. "What you think you know is dangerous to you. I fear you are all becoming over-confident."
"Sensei," Leonardo started. "In the past few months, we've taken down giant spiders, plant creatures, alien robots, and an army of ninjas!" In the back, Michelangelo, Donatello, Eclipse, Briana, and Raphael wore cocky smirks while high-fiving at their accomplishments. "Maybe we're not over-confident. Maybe we're just that good."
Then, they all turned and left the lair.

"IT'S OKAY, HACHIKO. I'm not going to hurt you." Bradford said as he was trying to pet the dog, only for the dog to bite his hand. "Ow!"
"He is not pleased with you nor am I," Shredder said as he glared down at Bradford. Jake snorted as he shook his head with disappointment towards Bradford. "I entrusted you both with the task of destroying Splinter and his loathsome pupils while bringing Princess Briana to me alive. I spent years molding you in my image, teaching you my darkest secrets, and you shame me with your incompetence."
Soren was standing on the side, watching the scene being played out in front of him. Had Shredder only sent him after Splinter's students and Briana, he would've made sure that he'd done so but Shredder had sent Bradford and Xever to do the job while he got stuck babysitting those two idiots.
It was bad enough that he was made advisor to Jake, who served as Shredder's right-hand and his adoptive son, but he didn't need babysitting two idiots as his job either. But he supposes that until the timing was right, Soren would do his best to go along with everything until he managed to overthrow the Shredder and Jake, becoming the new master of the Foot Clan in order to get his revenge on King Flash Sentry and Queen Twilight Sparkle for banishing him from the Crystal Empire by using Princess Briana as a way to get his revenge.
Personally, Soren thought that what Shredder was doing to get his revenge was nothing more than child's play. Kidnapping Splinter's biological daughter and raising her as his own? Child's play. Capturing Princess Briana to use the girl as nothing more than a weapon because of her magic and the prophecy that weighs on her shoulder? He'll admit that was somewhat better but he still considered it child's play. If Shredder truly wanted to get back at Hamato Yoshi, Flash Sentry, and Quill Sentry for the past then Soren believes that striking for the heart is the best way to go; go after what they truly care about.
If it were up to him then, he would've gotten rid of Splinter's daughter long ago instead of raising her all those years ago. He never would've kept the enemy's child as if the child was his very own; no, he already had a son of his own so, he didn't have a need for a second child. It's why he planned to get his revenge on King Flash Sentry and Queen Twilight Sparkle by targeting their eldest daughter and ripping their hearts out by forcing them to watch as he kills Briana right in front of them. As if he could already see it, the heartbreaking and horrified expressions on their faces as they watched him rid the world of their eldest daughter formed in his head and it was enough to make the man smile. Their pleadingly begs and screams for him to stop would sound like music to his ears and he would love every second of it. That was his revenge and he would surely get it.
The sound of Xever laughing snapped the man out of his thoughts as his attention was diverted back to the scene. As Xever laughed, Jake glared harshly at him with a look that practically screamed he was gonna murder him. If Soren had to be honest, sometimes he wondered if Jake wasn't the Shredder's actual son instead of Quill's son, considering the fact that Jake was just as ruthless and deadly as the Shredder. It was true that Jake was indeed a man without honor and mercy.
"I'm sorry, Xever, but is this funny to you?" Jake questioned furiously as he glared at him. His skin was as a white as a ghost, making Soren wonder how much longer he could hold on too despite secretly being slightly impressed by how long Jake managed to survive, considering his circumstances. "I always knew springing you from prison was a mistake. Father should've left you to rot in that cell where he found you."
Xever scowled at him, not liking the tone that Jake used on him.
"The turtles have been lucky so far," Bradford said. "But it won't last forever."
"The next time we meet, I promise youโ" Xever started but got interrupted.
"To fail again?" Jake asked, a sharp look in his pale eyes that used to be green. "I'm growing tired of your promises, Xever."
Xever glared at him with a scoff. "I'll like to see you do something instead of sending us."
Jake glared right back at him, resisting the urge to cough up blood. "Believe me, if I could, I'll go out there and end those pathetic turtles and that teenage boy and capture my worthless cousin. But my circumstances haven't been helpful at all."
"Oh, boohoo," Xever said as he rolled his eyes. "You're dying and can'tโ"
"Enough!" Shredder interrupted furiously. "I am weary of your excuses. I will now destroy the turtles and capture Princess Briana myself."

THE FIVE MUTANTS, Boy Danger, and Captain Violet were currently in the same alley where the mutant pigeon had attacked April earlier. April was the only one that would be walking as the rest of them were hiding in their spots so, the pigeon wouldn't spot them. April walked around the alley, trying to be a good bait. "Here I am!" She said loudly. "Walking around in the big city! All alone! Oh, I sure hope no crazy pigeon-man sneaks up on me! That would be the last thing I'd want!"
"What are you doing?" Donatello hissed, poking his head out from behind the dumpster.
"You wanted me to be bait!" April snapped. "I'm bait!"
"That's not how bait talks!"
"How do you know how bait talks?"
"I know bait doesn't talk back."
"Oooh...!" The other mutant turtles, Boy Danger, and Captain Violet echoed in unison, poking their heads out from their hiding spots.
"Oh, no, you didn't!" Michelangelo said, waving his finger. They instantly shot back into their hiding spots.
April frowned at Donatello, who laughed nervously. "Just... act natural." He retreated to his spot.
April sighed. "Here I am... acting natural. Just totally defenseless against anyโI don't knowโhideous, mutant pigeon guy who might happen upon me?"
Just as April started walking around again, Henry's ears pricked up at the sound of wings beating, causing him to sharply scan the outside area. Then, the sound of a loud squawk came and there it was; a ugly, mutant pigeon diving down. April screamed and just as the creature was about to grab her, Donatello jumped out and shot the mutant with his stun-gun. The creature twitched as it landed on the ground.
"Now!" Leonardo and Boy Danger ordered in unison. They all leaped from their hiding spots and jumped onto the pigeon, pinning the mutant to the ground.
"Okay!" The mutant cried. "Okay, uncle! Geez louise!"
"You okay, April?" Eclipse asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine," April assured with a nod before looking over at the purple masked mutant turtle. "And you said I wasn't good bait."
"Okay, start talking, Pigeon-Man." Leonardo said.
"I have a name!" He complained.
"Yeah, we just don't care what it is," Raphael said.
"It's Pete!" The pigeon stated.
Boy Danger folded his arms at the mutant. "Why were you trying to hurt April, Pete?"
"I didn't wanna hurt her! I was just bringing her a message! From her father!"
April suddenly gasped at those words. "Let him up."
At once, they all released the mutant pigeon, who stood up. "We were both guests of the Kranng," he explained. "They poured some ooze on me and turned me into this!"
"Oh, that must've been horrible, being turned into a pigeon." April said.
"Actually, I started out as a pigeon."
"Told you bread crumbs would've worked." Michelangelo told the purple masked mutant turtle.
Pete suddenly grabbed him, lifting him up. "You got bread crumbs!?" He shook the mutant turtle, hoping bread crumbs would fall.
April cleared her throat. "My father...?"
"Oh, right!" Pete dropped Michelangelo and reached behind him to take out a phone that could only be Kirby's.
April took it and looked at the present video. "Something terrible is about to happen! I don't know what, but it's extremely important that you get out of the city as soon as you can! Save yourself! And remember... I love you."
"I love you too, daddy," April whispered, clutching the phone to her chest.
Captain Violet watched with saddened eyes, feeling bad for their friend that wanted nothing more than to be with her father again. It made the purple haired teenage girl wondered about her own biological parents, something she hasn't done since she was a child and she secretly convinced her that her own parents didn't want her, hence the reason why they got rid of her.
"Do you have any idea what he's talking about?" Leonardo asked.
"I'm just the messenger."
"We've got to get you out of the city." Donatello told April.
"I'm not going anywhere without my dad!"
"But you heard him. Something terrible is gonna happen."
"Then we better hurry."
"Can you tell us where the Kranng are holding him?" Boy Danger asked.
"I can, but it's gonna cost you a lot of bread."
Leonardo raised a brow. "We're talking about actual bread, right?"
Pete nodded. "Yep! Sour dough."
"Done."
"Let's roll!" Michelangelo exclaimed, throwing a smoke bomb to the ground.
๐๐๐
IT TOOK THEM a while but Pete was able to lead them to the building where the Kranng were hiding. Donatello was currently trying to open an entrance into the facility as they all stood on the rooftop. After only a few minutes, he succeeded and pushed away the metal lid.
"Piece of cake." Donatello said.
"Let's do this!" April said, determined.
She started to move forward but Leonardo placed a hand on her shoulder. "We need you to wait here, April."
"Are you crazy? My dad's in there!" April protested.
"Along with who knows how many Kranng," Boy Danger reminded, agreeing with the blue masked mutant turtle. "This requires stealth and mobility. Leave it to the pros."
She shook her head. "I can't just do nothing."
"You won't be doing," Leonardo said as he took the rope that Raphael had and held it out to her. "We need you to lower this rope when we give you the signal."
April sighed and took the rope. Then, the five mutant turtles and two teenagers turned and headed through the entrance, going inside one at a time. Leonardo went first, rolling silently behind a pile of crates upon seeing a Kranng droid on guard. Boy Danger, Raphael, Donatello, and Eclipse followed his lead, doing the exact same thing that he did. Then, Michelangelo tried to mimic them, but failed, falling loudly to the floor. Quickly, Captain Violet tried to hop down to get him out of there but had accidentally fall on top of him, muttering a apology that he waved aside, letting her know that it didn't hurt.
Due to the noise, the Kranng droid turned and powered up its gun, pointing at the two. Behind the droid, Raphael jumped at it and stabbed it with his sais, to their relief. With the droid now dead, the red masked mutant turtle looks over at the two, earning a nervous chuckle from Michelangelo and a sheepish smile from Captain Violet. He shakes his head before he pulls the two up from the ground, the three meeting up with the others.
On opposite sides of the room, both Boy Danger and Leonardo peek into the hallway and scans it, looking around to see how many droids were there. Spotting only one, Boy Danger nods at the blue masked mutant turtle, who nods back and takes out his katana blades that he uses to slice the droid in half. As he sheathes his swords, he spotted a few Kranng droids walking down the hall, motioning to the others to follow them. As soon as the door slid opens, Boy Danger grabbed both droids by the heads and bashed them together. The droid inside turned, but Eclipse threw her weapon at its head, watching as the droid fell to the ground.
Making sure that there wasn't anymore droids inside, they walked inside and spread out, surrounding the large console that was in the middle of the room.
"Donnie, hack into the system and see what you can find out about the Kranng's plot," Leonardo ordered. "Raph, Danger, Clips, Bri, you're with me. Mikey, stay with Donnie."
"Why do I always get stuck with Mikey?" Donatello snapped.
"Hey!" Michelangelo whined.
"Well, I don't want him. And I'm the leader!"
"Hey!"
"Well, then makeโ"
"Are we really gonna argue about this now?" Boy Danger interrupted, looking between the two firmly. "Donnie, you know what to do. The rest of us are gonna find Mr. O'Neil."
It didn't take long for them to find the hallway with all the cells. Looking into the cells to see which one held Kirby, Leonardo walked over to one and looked inside where he spotted the familiar man while Boy Danger, Raphael, Eclipse, and Captain Violet stood guard and on lookout.
"Mr. O'Neil?" Leonardo asked. "Are you in here?"
A bald, red-bearded man popped up in the window. "You're one of the turtles who rescued my daughter. Is she okay?"
"She's fine," Leonardo promised. "She's right outside."
"You mean she's still in the city?" Kirby asked as he shook his head. "That girl is stubborn."
"Yeah, we've noticed."
Leonardo removed the cover from the electrical lock and got to work on picking it. Drawing out two wires, he began to fiddle with them. It felt like hours that he's been working on the lock as he still haven't gotten it open.
"Since it's taking Leo forever to open the doorโ" Eclipse started.
"I'm working on it."
"Maybe you could tell us what's the deal with the Kranng." She finished, ignoring the leader of the team.
"They're aliens from another dimension," Kirby explained. "When they came here, they brought the mutagen with them."
"Why? What's the point of turning people into monsters?" Leonardo asked, his eyes not moving from the lock.
"The mutagen doesn't work the way they thought it would," Kirby continued to explain. "Apparently, the physical laws from their universe are different from ours."
"So, they're grabbing scientists to help them modify the ooze!"
"Wow! You figured it out!" Raphael said sarcastically. "How's that lock coming?"
"So, what do they want the ooze to do?" Captain Violet asked.
Kirby sighed. "I wish I knew."
"Guys!"
Everyone looked over to see Donatello sprinting towards them with Michelangelo following close behind. "They've planted a mutagen bomb downtown! They're gonna use it to disperse ooze over half the city!" Then, he noticed Kirby. "Oh, hi, Mr. O'Neil, your daughter's really nice."
"Okay, we have to disarm that bomb. If I can just get this stupid door open!" Leonardo said accusingly, glaring at the wires.
"Have you tried this?"
Everyone whipped their heads around to see the orange masked mutant turtle press a button on the wall. "NO!" The other mutants and two human teenagers yelled.
A loud alarm goes off and pink lights began to flash.
"MIKEY!" Eclipse yelled angrily. "How many times do I have to tell you!? Don't press random buttons!"
"And that's why no one wants to be with you!" Raphael snapped.
"Got it!" Leonardo reconnected the wires and the door slid open, allowing Kirby to come out. But by then, several Kranng droids had shown up and were heading for them. "Let's move!"
Leonardo and Donatello took Kirby by the arms and ran off, Boy Danger in the lead and the others close behind. The Kranng didn't hesitant to fire on them and in no time, they were back where they started as they all took cover behind the crates that were at their exit point. Then, Leonardo started making pigeon noises, clearly trying to get April's attention.
"What are you doing?" Eclipse questioned.
"It's the signal."
"Forget the stupid bird signal!" Raphael told him. "April, throw the rope!"
April poked her head out to look down. "Dad!"
"April!" Kirby exclaimed.
A second later and without hesitation, April threw the rope down to them as it fell to the ground. Several Kranng droids approached, their weapons aimed at them. Raphael kicked a nearby barrel, knocking a couple of the droids over and one of the droids even dropped their gun as Kirby eyed it. Suddenly, he lunges forward and grabs the fallen gun.
"Mr. O'Neil, what are you doing?" Donatello asked.
Kirby stood, aiming the gun forward and towards the droids. He fired, knocking down two Kranng droids. "Save my daughter. Save the city."
"Daddy, no!" April cried out.
Kirby ran forward, firing at a few more droids. They all ducked as a few lasers missed them.
"Go, go!" Leonardo and Boy Danger ordered.
The seven teenagers ran for the rope but the purple masked mutant turtle hesitated once he grabbed it, turning to look at Kirby. "We can't just leave him here!" Donatello said.
"We don't have a choice!" Leonardo said firmly.
"Donnie, we'll figure something else out but we have to go now!" Boy Danger said seriously.
Knowing that they were right, the purple masked mutant turtle scrambled up the rope and once everyone was out, they looked back down to see Kirby being tackled by a Kranng droid.
"No!" April cried out. "Dad!"
The droids then took Kirby and led him away, obviously bringing him back to his cell. April stumbled back, hands over her mouth as a small whimper escaped her. The five mutant turtles and two disguised teenagers frowned slightly, feeling bad that they weren't able to save him. April then threw herself at Donatello, her arms wrapping around him. He held her close, a sad look on his face.
"We'll get him back, April," Donatello said. "I promise."
Knowing that they now had bigger issues on the matter, they all took off, sprinting off the roof.
๐๐๐
ACCORDING TO THE purple masked mutant turtle, the explosion was set to happen at the Wolf Hotel. The seven of them immediately headed there with their bows and arrows after leaving April back at the lair. Each one of the embroidered arrows had little bombs attached so, when they hit their targets, they would explode. Each one of the seven teenagers were positioned at different points around the building and with the Kranng droids destroyed, the seven of them made their way over to the control panel of the bomb.
"Okay, Donnie, Violet," Leonardo said. "It's up to you."
As Donatello took the cover off, his eyes widened. "Uh-oh."
"Please tell me that's a good uh-oh." Leonardo said.
Captain Violet shook her head with a frown, her sapphire blue eyes wide at what Donatello was looking at. "It's a bad uh-oh."
"Bad uh-oh? You two said you knew how to do this!" Leonardo protested.
"I didn't count on a design this complex, Leo!" Donatello snapped.
"They're aliens from another dimension!" Leonardo yelled. "What did you except? A big, round ball with a lit fuse that said, BOMB!?"
"No! But this isโ"
"We do not have time for this!" Eclipse snapped, reminding the two that their time was limited.
"Yeah, I sure hope this argument goes on for another four minutes and fifteen seconds." Raphael snapped in agreement, pushing the blue masked mutant turtle aside before he smacked the back of Donatello's head. Donatello glared at him and rubbed his head before he kneeled down to the control panel, Captain Violet at his side. They peered down at the panel, trying to find something among the mess of wires as both of them were looking all over the panel, sweating a little since the two were very nervous about this.
Then, Donatello reached for the wires.
"Careful!"
Donatello snapped his head around to glare at the others while Captain Violet breathed shakily, her sapphire blue eyes studying the wires.
"Watch out for those wires!"
"Not helping!" Captain Violet said, running a hand through her purple hair as she kept her eyes on the wires, narrowing at them as she tried to find something.
"What if we just push this button?" Michelangelo asked, his finger indicating a small yellow button.
But before he could push it, Eclipse smacks his hand away. "I think you pushed enough buttons."
With Donatello and Captain Violet still staring at the wires, Leonardo looked impatient. "You two are gonna have to speed this upโ"
"We cannot work with all this pressure!" Donatello yelled, clearly frustrated.
A loud, banging sound suddenly came out of nowhere, causing Boy Danger to freeze when he looked over. "Um... that might be a problem." He said.
Everyone looked over to see Bradford and Xever standing on the sign before hopping down onto the roof. Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, Eclipse, and Boy Danger readied their weapons and while Donatello and Captain Violet worked on disarming the bomb, the rest of the others kept Bradford and Xever busy once the two charged at them.
"We got this, right, Donnie?" Captain Violet asked nervously.
"I think so." He answered truthfully.
"Will you hurry up and defuse the bomb? We're dealing with a couple of nut jobs here!" Raphael suddenly shouts out to them.
"Be quiet!" Donatello snapped.
Captain Violet took a deep breath before she grabbed the red wire and started twisting it as Donatello took a yellow wire and cut it.
"Down to two wires," Donatello said, his breath shakily. "Which one do I cut? Black or green?"
Captain Violet looked between the two wires after she was done twisting the red wire, nervousness in her eyes. "I don't know." She said, panic in her tone.
"Go for the green!" Michelangelo shouted out towards them.
"Donnie," Captain Violet warned, looking even more nervous at the timer. "We're running out of time."
Donatello gulped, looking nervous. "Eh, why not?" Captain Violet squeezed her eyes shut tightly as he moved his pliers and cut the green wire. The beeping stopped and so did the timer, as she opened her eyes again.
She blinked before letting out a breath of relief. "Oh, ฤ yokatta!"
"Yes!" Donatello shouted as they stood up. "Guys, guys! Mikey was right about something!"
Taking out their weapons, the two of them then rushed off to help the others. With both Donatello and Captain Violet joining the others, the seven of them were able to take Bradford and Xever down easier than before, each one of them forcing the two henchmen back until they reached the other side of the bomb. Eventually, Xever and Bradford were trapped back-to-back.
"You are worthy adversaries," Leonardo said in a slightly formal tone, raising his katana. "But the fight is ours. Lay down your weapons."
"Never!" Xever snapped angrily.
Boy Danger grinned. "You don't have a choice here. You've lost."
Bradford glared at them. "If I'm going down, I'm taking you with me." He lifted his sword and shoved it into the glass side of the bomb.
"No!" Donatello and Captain Violet shouted.
The seven teenagers quickly moved out of the way just in time as the mutagen flooded out, swallowing Bradford and Xever and washing them over the edge of the building. The remaining mutagen spilled, emptying from the now worthless bomb. Once the mutagen was out of harm's way, the seven ninjas sheathed their weapons and hopped down to land on the roof as the bomb officially powered down.
"So," Leonardo said with a smirk. "To sum up, we kicked the butts of the Kranng, and Shredder's top henchmen, while defusing a bomb, and saving the city."
"Yeah, we're not over-confident." Raphael said with a smirk as well.
"We're just that good."
As the five mutants and Captain Violet cheered and shared a high-five, Boy Danger felt his ears pricked up as a shiver went down his spine. "Threat." A voice told him inside his head, causing him to wearily look around the area.
'What's going on? Why am I feeling so... scared?' Boy Danger thought secretly, confusion written on his face when he felt shivers traveling down his spine and his ears pricking up in worry. An uneasy feeling rested in his stomach as he looked around.
"Your skills are impressive..." they all froze at the sudden voice and in that moment right there, Boy Danger realized why he was feeling this way. The voice sounded so dark and cold, it was definitely enough to send shivers down his spine. They turned their heads, looking up at the top level of the bomb where a man dressed in large, silver armor and metal gauntlets shielded his arms stood, a metal helmet covering his face as well, showing only his eyes. The man leapt from the bomb, landing on the roof before them. "But they will not save you."
Boy Danger felt his breath get stuck in his throat as they all stepped back.
"Oh, man..." Donatello breathed. "Do you think that's... the Shredder?"
"It's definitely a shredder." Raphael muttered.
Shredder stood, staring at each one of them. "There is undoubtedly a fascinating story of how my old nemesis came to teach ninjstu to five mutant turtles, one little girl, and one little boy. Perhaps I shall let one of you live long enough to tell it."
"You're gonna have to catch us first!" Leonardo said. "Mikey!"
"So long, sucka!" Michelangelo said, grabbing a bomb and throwing it to the ground. But instead of purple smoke, a pile of yellow yolk burst from the white smell as they all looked down at it before looking back up at him with narrowed eyes. "Oops, alright, that one's on me."
As Shredder charged at them, the seven of them readied their weapons and immediately fought back, using everything that they learnt from Splinter so far. But with how fast the Shredder was, not a single one of them were able to land a hit on him and the man only delivered moves on them. Hoping that she'd be able to attack him from behind in the shadows, Captain Violet waited to leapt but right when she went for it, she was suddenly grabbed from behind and pulled into the darkness once again, getting slammed into the ground.
"Well, hey there, cousin."
Captain Violet furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, staring up to see Jake glaring down at her with such hatred in his eyes. Confusion came upon her face as she frowned, "Cousin? What are you talking about? I don't even know you." She told him.
"Oh, that's what you think," Jake said. "But of course, Hamato Yoshi didn't tell you."
"How do you know my father?" Captain Violet asked, pushing herself up from the ground as she held her katana in front of her defensively.
"He's been lying to you your whole life," Jake said before he looked at her, a smirk growing on his face. "Please, you didn't actually think he'd cared about you, right? I mean, why would he? You're not even his."
Captain Violet frowned, closing her eyes a little as she looked away, trying so hard to not let his words or her doubts get to her. She could feel a part of her telling her that it's not true but the more logical side of her was telling her it was, that she wasn't a mutant so, why on earth would Splinter or any of them care about her?
"After all, you're nothing but a Destroyer and a vessel." Jake taunted with a smirk, stepping closer to the girl.
Captain Violet shook her head and went for the attack, swinging her katana at him only for it to come into contact with his. Jake shook his head, smirking, chuckles leaving his mouth. "Ooh, you're gonna have to try harder than that, cuz."
She growled slightly to herself as she went to attack again, this time trying to deliver a roundhouse kick but Jake blocked it and pushed her back.
"Oh, you're pathetic, little cuz," Jake taunted, a chuckle leaving his lips. "Is this really the great, old Destroyer and vessel to the demon spirit of darkness? Man, you are so weak."
As much as she wanted to attack, the words that he said caught her attention and distracted her. "Destroyer? Vessel? What are youโ"
She was cut off by Jake knocking her off of her feet as she hit the ground again. Then, Jake went over and lifted her shirt, excepting to see something on her stomach but shook his head when he didn't.
"Of course, Aunt Twilight thought she could hide it, but lucky for me," Jake said as he made a ball of magic in his hands, making her eyes widened. "I can undo it."
Suddenly, Jake pressed the ball of magic against her stomach and Captain Violet couldn't help but gasped sharply in pain, this wave of pain hitting her out of nowhere. Then, the symbol of a demon mark that is the letter 'U' within a circle appeared on her stomach. Satisfied, Jake made the ball of magic disappeared as he smirked, watching as the purple haired girl groaned in pain while she laid on the roof.
"There," Jake said, smirking proudly at his work. "Now, you can't escape your destiny, Destroyer."
And with that, Jake moved back into the shadows and disappeared, leaving the girl all alone. Right when she pulled her shirt back down and stood up, Captain Violet suddenly gasped in pain as her hands flew up to gripped onto her head, a tremendous amount of pain hitting her at once as multiple voices could be heard inside her head.
"The last Destroyer has been found."
"Embrace your fate. For one day, the Dark One shall return once again."
"The final battle against the Dark One will one day come."
"You're a Destroyer, Briana. You can't run from it!"
"No, no, shut up," Captain Violet muttered under her breath, gripping her head tightly as she squeezed her eyes shut tightly. "Leave me alone. Please."
"Embrace your fate, Destroyer."
"It is your destiny to destroy the world."
"No, no, no, no!" Captain Violet shouted, her sapphire blue eyes filling up with tears of pain. "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!"
Not realizing where she was standing, she suddenly tripped over the edge and would've fell off the rooftop if it wasn't for a certain golden masked mutant turtle that grabbed her in time. She looked up to see Eclipse motioning for her to stay quiet as she pulled her back up before heading off to get the others.
Exhausted and out of breath, Boy Danger was grabbed the collar of his shirt and slammed against the wall where Shredder pinned him there by using his gauntlets. 'This is it, he's gonna kill me.' He thought secretly to himself, shivers going up his spine as fear and panic struck him in a instant.
"Tell me where Splinter is and I promise your demise will be shift." Shredder ordered as a third blade emerged from his gauntlet, moving closer to Boy Danger's face.
He kept his mouth shut, refusing to talk as he squeezed his eyes shut, waiting for the blade to be pierced into his neck. Then came the loud sound of a gasp as he opened his eyes again to see two large figures covered in mutagen had flopped onto the roof. The ooze dripped off of them and Boy Danger could make out a large, red fish mutant and a huge, bulky dog mutant.
"Help me...!" Xever choked out.
Shocked by his henchmen's transformations, Shredder released him, causing Boy Danger to fall to the ground with a loud thud. "What is this!?" He demanded, too distracted by his henchmen's transformations.
"Henry," Boy Danger could hear the others whispering to him. "Come on, let's get out of here."
Ignoring the pain in his body, Boy Danger forced himself to stand up as Leonardo reached over and grabbed him. The seven teenagers jumped over the edge and quickly ran off to the nearest manhole cover, wanting nothing more than to get out of there.

THE LAIR WAS pitched quiet and not a single sound was heard. Each and every one of the seven teenagers were covered in bruises, black stains, bloody cuts, and scratches from the fight as they were all within the pit of the living room. None of them dared to speak after what happened, being way too freaked out by the Shredder himself. Henry brought his hands up to his face, burying his face within them as the fight replayed over and over in his head as if it was on replay.
'They almost got killed and it's all your fault.' Henry thought secretly to himself, feeling the guilt eating him up. 'You gotta train harder, this can't happen again.'
"You were all lucky." Splinter said, grabbing their attention.
"I think we define that word differently, sensei." Raphael grumbled but everyone heard him.
"Few have faced the Shredder and survived." Splinter answered.
Michelangelo glanced up. "He was just so fast."
"It was like he was everywhere at once." Donatello said.
"We'd all be dead if he hadn't gotten distracted." Eclipse added softly.
"You were right about us being over-confident, sensei," Leonardo admitted. "There are some things we're just not ready for."
Splinter placed a hand on his shoulder. "Perhaps..." he said. "But that no longer matters. It is clear now that the Shredder is a problem that will not go away. So prepare yourselves, my children. Because of this moment... we are at war."

LATER THAT NIGHT, everyone had gone to bed and Henry and April were safety back at their own homes in their own bedrooms fast asleep. Nobody in the lair was awoke as everyone was fast asleep for the rest of the night. Inside Briana's bedroom, she was in her bed, sleeping but as she slept, she kept tossing and turning in her bed. A frown on her face as she kept shaking her head, a few fearful whimpers leaving her mouth.
And inside her head, evil laughter could be heard from everywhere. "The walls that the rat set up to keep me trapped inside this cage as a extra precaution are coming down," Unagami said, a evil smirk coming onto her face. "And once the seal starts to weaken little by little, I can finally take control!"
Unagami then laughed sinisterly. "And this world... will truly know what darkness is!"
"You know, one thing about fear that I've always hated? It's always there. Fear of the unknown. Fear of facing it alone. Fear that the only family you've ever had doesn't really need you. Fear that someone you love is lying to you. Fear that as soon as you slay one, there's another monster waiting to take its place. Fear that there's one more boogeyman waiting at the end of the dark hall. And the worst fear of all... fear that this whole time, you were the monster the whole time. And all of my fears were just getting started."
