According to Batra sir's order, Karan went towards his cabin and as Karan knocked, Batra sir allowed him to enter. Karan clicked his toes and saluted Col. Batra to which he replied with a tense nod.

Karan - Sir, you seem tensed!

Batra sir - Baat hi aisi hai, Shergill!

Karan (enthusiastically) - Is it a new mission sir?

Batra sir sighed being tensed and stood up from his seat and came to Karan. He kept his hand on Karan's shoulder and behaved as if he's not finding any words to explain what he wants to say. Karan sensed the seriousness of the mission by Batra sir's behavior itself.

Batra sir (hesitantly) - Shergill, the mission is in Luna Pind of Amritsar! (After a pause) From where you belong!

Karan was surprised to hear that the place which he never wants to even see, he has to visit that place. Karan was stunned for a moment but then something clicked him instantly. He's Special Agent Major Karan Shergill who never fears or step backwards from any mission or opportunity he gets to serve the nation!                                                 

Karan (expressionlessly) - What's the mission sir?!

Batra sir - Karan, hume ek tip mili hai ki Amritsar ke Gurudwaras mein terrorist groups bomb implant karenge!

Karan was surprised to hear that how someone can be so ruthless that they can even blast a religious site & many lives will also be at danger. 

Karan - But sir, unhe kya milega ye karke?

Batra sir sighed & forwarded a file to Karan.

Batra sir - Shergill, kuchh gurdwaras mein drug smuggling ka centre bana hua hai. Once they'll export those drugs, they will blast the gurudwaras! They are doing this to trigger the emotional sentiments of people. Ab agar gurudware ko blast karenge to log shaant thode hi baithenge! There will be a conflict in the country, leading to deterioration of unity! Vo chahte hain ki humare desh ki ekta tut jaye!

Karan nodded with rage and mentally made a plan to kill those bastards who want to break the unity of the country & also how to save the Gurudwaras. But his heart was beating rapidly being nervous for something he doesn't know.

Batra sir - So Shergill, ministry to chahti hai ki tum jao iss mission par, but I denied!

Karan (immediately) - Kyu..kyu sir??

Batra sir (keeping a hand on his shoulder) - Shergill, try to understand! I know tumhare aur tumhari family ke kya terms hain. I don't want you to suffer anymore. Vaha bhejkar main tumhe aur hurt nahi karna chahta, Shergill!

Karan (determindedly) - Sir, mujhe aapse hi training mili hai. Mujhe yaad hai, aapne hi sikhaya tha ki 'ek commando jab mission par hota hai, tab uske koi bhi emotions ya koi  bhi family member uske aur uski duty ke beech nahi aana chahiye!' Sir, I'll myself go on this mission!

Batra sir - But Shergill...

Karan - Please sir!

Batra sir nodded being proud of his best commando. He somewhere knew that he won't step back from performing his duty, even if it means to return to that place where he never wanted to step. 

Batra sir - Shergill, I'm proud of you!

Karan nodded with a straight face as he was not able to think anything at the moment.

Batra sir - Shergill, you need to take someone with you on this mission. I prefer Monami, because she's already a doctor so it might be helpful!

Karan - As you say sir!

Discussing something more about the mission, Karan left Batra sir's cabin with a confused mind. He went in his room and sat on the bed with a thud. He held his head in his palms and closed his eyes just to process everything what happened just now.

Monami who was all worried about her Khadoos Shergill, got to know from Ustadji that he has come back from Batra sir's cabin, so thought to check upon him once. As she entered, she saw him sitting on the bed and guessed that maybe he's worried or sad about something. She went to him and sat on her knees in front of him. Karan was surprised to find her there and made her sit beside him on the bed immediately. Because he thinks that in their relationship, no one's superior, no one's inferior, they're equal! And maybe these small-small gestures can easily justify this.

Monami (caressing his cheek) - Karan, kya hua? Bade udaas lag rahe ho!

Karan stood up from the bed and stood taking support of his desk, making Monami tensed. She again went to him and placed her hand on his shoulder.

Karan - Monami...pata nahi bhagwaan kaunsa khel khel raha hai mere saath! Jis jagah main kabhi jaana nahi chahta tha, jis mitti par main kabhi pair nahi rakhna chahta tha, jin logo se main kabhi milna bhi nahi chahta tha. Ab unke kareeb jaane ke liye majboor hoon!

Monami - Karan, aisa kyun bol rahe ho? Aakhir hua kya?!

Karan - Monami, we have to go on a mission...in Amritsar!

Now Monami understood what's the reason of Karan's sadness and gloomy behaviour. She couldn't help but just hugged him by his arm, resting her head on his shoulder.

Monami - It's our duty, Karan! That's it!

Karan - Itna aasan nahi hoga, Monami. Soch to main bhi yahi raha tha ki vaha jayenge, mission karenge, aur fir vapis. Lekin...

Monami - Lekin kya??

Karan (sighing deeply) - Monami, vo ghar hai mera! Main uss zameen par khela hoon, uss gaon ki mitti ko bachpan mein chaata hai maine, Beeji-Darji ki god mein khil-khilakar hasa hoon! Aur aaj dekho...apne hi ghar jaane mein kitni jhijhak hai!

Monami made Karan sit on the chair and she herself sat on his lap. She made him hold her by her waist and she cupped his face.

Monami - Do baatein, Agent Shergill!

As a ritual, Karan raised his two fingers immediately making Monami smirk seeing her effect on him.

Monami - Pehli baat, koi bhi vaha tumse nafrat nahi karta! I know sab naraaz hain, magar apne khoon se koi zyada samay tak naraaz bhi nahi reh sakta!

Karan - Aur dusri baat?

Monami (Sternly) - Aur dusri baat ye ki tum bhool rahe ho...ek commando ko sentiments mein behna allowed nahi hai!

Karan felt amusingly proud on his girlfriend who keeps a record of each and everything he said and who's always there for him no matter what the situation is.

Karan - Rani Sahiba, main sentiments mein nahi beh raha it's just, just...that..

Karan was not able to express what all was going on in his mind at that time. He just got very tired and stressed of thinking about the happenings. He hung his head low with his eyes closed. Monami understood whatever he was feeling and placed a deep kiss on his forehead making a short smile appear on his face.

Monami - Khadoos Shergill, tum sirf negative cheezo ka hi kyu soch rahe ho? Think about the positive happenings also na!

Karan (not interested tone) - Kya positive hai isme?

Monami - You're going to your hometown after so long! Ho sakta hai ki hum Amritsar jaye to sab kuchh shayad theek ho jaye!

Karan was about to deny that nothing's going to be as beautiful as before but before he could utter anything, Monami shuts him up with her single glare. Karan immediately pressed his lips tightly, seeing which Monami chucked.

Monami - Aur ek aur achhi baat hai, it's our first mission together!

Karan (confused) - First mission?! No Rani Sahiba, second mission! Pehle wala to vo organ trafficking ka tha.

Monami - A..haan, but usme to sabhi cadets aur Special Agents involved thhe. (Huskily) But this time, it's just you & me, all alone!

Karan pulled Monami closer who was sitting on his lap till now. Due to the sudden pull, she resulted in getting much closer to him. Karan's mouth was near her chin and as Monami looked in Karan's eyes, she couldn't take it anymore and hid herself in the crook of Karan's neck being a shy baby.

Karan (huskily) - Arre, abhi to koi bahot gyaan de raha tha about the mission, sentiments and... being alone! Ab kya hua?!

Monami (whining while blushing) - Khadoos Shergill!!!

Karan - Hanji Rani Sahiba, aapke hi hain hum! Vaise ye to sach mein achhi baat hai ki iss mission par hum dono akele honge, vo bhi academy se dur Amritsar mein. Ab koi nahi hoga humare romance ko disturb karne ke liye!

Monami blushed profusely on these naughty talks of Karan and stood up from his lap immediately.

Karan - Arre, kya hua?!

Monami - I need to do the packing, that too for both of us!

She ran towards the door to escape the whole blushy situation but stopped near the door.

Monami (without facing him) - Hum mission par ja rahe hain, honeymoon par nahi!

Saying so, she ran towards her dorm leaving behind her Aashiq Shergill who stood their rubbing his nape remembering the cute moments they had a minute ago. After a few minutes of moving over to the mission, Karan just mentally thanked God for sending such an encouraging and motivating partner for him. He also prayed for her well-being and a long and happy life!

On the other side in Amritsar, inside the Shergill Haveli, Sanjot was in the gurudwara praying for her family and their good health, when she suddenly opened her eyes.

Sanjot - Babaji, mainu aisa kyu lag raha hai ki me..mera puttar, mera Karan vapis aane wala hai!?

As they say, 'a mother knows everything', Sanjot proves it right! She has a feeling that her long desired request is going to be fulfilled soon. She just prays for the best and descend the stairs of the gurudwara with a heart filled with mixed feelings of excitement, happiness & nervousness.
