(✿) BACKGROUND — Rae grew up mostly raised by her older brother and because of that took on lots of his habits throughout her 9th grade year after he left for college. She was one of the more popular girls in school growing up which left her sometimes to hang out with the "wrong crowd" (or at least according to knetz, it was just literally people who sometimes smoke and drank on a rare occasion). She became rather outspoken about things going ways she didn't like or about people she didn't like. When people would be rude to her while trying to hide it in a way that seemed like a compliment or not about her, she would let them have it and yell at them or by making it obvious she knew what they were really doing. This habit of being outspoken and speaking her mind never really left as she became an idol she would often curse out sasaengs or scold rude people in her comments and lives. Because her mother often worked late shifts and her father had divorced and left while she was young, Rae often was left watching reality tv when she got home from school. She grew up on shows like Tyra Banks' Next Top Model, and reruns of Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie's "The Simple Life". Growing up she originally wanted to become a model, later changing to fashion designer, back to model, then to singer.

★ DIETING SCANDAL — rae in a vlog talking about her daily life revealed her dieting and workout schedule. many people accused her of supporting disordered eating habits as she had not gone public with her disorder yet.

★ STELLA-RAE SUMMER FIGHT SCANDAL — despite being somewhat close rae and her fellow angel's code member stella got into a scandal during summer 2022 when the two appeared to be in a fight. fans didn't find out until it was almost over but it started when stella accidentally tripped rae during a dance practice the day before the song's release and so at the showcase rae purposely bumped into her which started the fight. despite fans (and anti-fans) not originally knowing the reason, many blew this situation up way out of proportion and it's now known as the stella-rae summer fight.
