𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘸𝘰: 𝘰𝘩, 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘫𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘵

Juliet Crain stood in her new room staring at the mirror dressed in a pair of dark blue jeans along with an olive green sweater that went with her emerald green pendant that was originally her mother's.

Playing with her necklace Juliet looks at her mirror but doesn't see anything just as someone knocks on her bedroom door.

"Morning kiddo," Charlie says making Juliet jump before she turns around to see her uncle who smiles at her softly. 

"Bella's about to leave in a few minutes if you want to catch a ride with her to school. Although you could always stay home," Charlie reminds her making Juliet shake her head at him.

"I got to get back to the world of living soon enough Uncle Charlie," Juliet tells him as she grabs her bag along with her jacket.

"No one expects you to just bounce back Juliet. It's okay to need time,"  Charlie tells her making Juliet scoff at that.

"Time won't bring them back," Juliet says before walking out her bedroom door and seeing Bella at the bottom of the stairs grabbing her own bag. Hearing the footsteps Bella looks up at Juliet.

"Can I ride with you?" Juliet asks Bella who nods making the two girls hurry out the door Juliet moves slower to make sure she doesn't slip and fall.

Bella ahead of her slips on the patch of ice making Juliet run out and catch her before she falls to the ground.

"Thanks," Bella tells her making Juliet nod as she shrugs.

"Had my fair share of bruised butt from slipping on ice," Juliet says making Bella chuckle at that just as Charlie comes out of the house making the two look towards him.

"Girls, I'll be late for dinner. I'm heading down to Mason County. A security guard at the Grisham Mill got killed by some kind of animal," Charlie tells the two who look at her worriedly.
         
"An animal?" Bella questions confused as Juliet tilts her head.
         
"You're not in Phoenix anymore, honey. They've been hunting it for a week with no luck. Thought I'd lend a hand," Charlie tells them. 
         
"Be careful," Bella tells her Dad as Charlie smiles at her.

"Always am," Charlie tells her before looking towards Juliet with a worried look on his face.

"If you need anything-," Charlie begins as Juliet places a hand on his shoulder stopping him.

"I'll call you. Now be careful," Juliet tells him as she wraps her arms around her uncle's waist who sighs hugging her tightly.

"I will," Charlie tells her as Juliet releases him and heads towards the passenger seat waving goodbye to her uncle before getting in.

"So Forks High?" Juliet questions Bella who looks towards her before looking back at the road.

"Just a regular high school," Bella says laughing as Juliet shakes her head at that something told her that was a lie.

Pulling up at the high school Juliet looks at the small school with people standing around the parking lot talking and others walking into the school already.

"Do you need me to show you the office?" Bella questions her cousin as the two step out of the truck slamming the doors shut.

"Oh um I'll be fine," Juliet says waving her off as everyone begins looking towards her making Juliet gulp.

"Okay just be careful of Eric," Bella says making Juliet confused before nodding as she walks towards the school twisting her necklace in the process.

Walking into the school Juliet makes her way thru kids who stare openly at her and a few brave ones saying hi.

After walking out of the admission office with her schedule Juliet wanders down the hallways looking for her classroom number.

The receptionist gave her a map of the school but Juliet was still confused. Turning the map in different directions Juliet tilts her head trying to find where she is just as someone appears in her path.

"You're Juliet Crain, the second new girl," a boy says making Juliet look up at him already annoyed.

"Hi, I'm Eric. The eyes and ears of this place. Anything you need. Tour guide, lunch date, shoulder to cry on," Eric says making Juliet nod understanding what Bella might as she sighs.

"No," Juliet tells him as she walks around the boy and heads down the hallway.

"Wait!" Eric calls out to her Juliet shakes her head as she continues walking down the hallway.

Heading towards her first class of the day English Lit Juliet walks in heading straight towards the teacher who was an older man with a bold head but a kind smile.

"Oh, Ms.Juliet my new student!" He says smiling at the girl who just freezes not knowing what to do.

"My name is Mr.Andrews we only have one seat left open for you to sit. It's in the back beside Mr.Edward Cullen," Mr.Andrews says pointing towards the back left where a lanky boy with untidy bronze-colored hair looks up when he hears his name locking eyes with Juliet with a look of shock on his face.

Turning her head Juliet looks at Mr.Andrews who waves her over to her seat.

With a sigh, the auburn-haired girl moves towards her seat but ignores her seatmate as she sits down grabbing her supplies just as the bell rings and Mr.Andrews begins handing out papers.

"These violent delights have violent ends," Mr.Andrews quotes towards the class.

"This is a quote from Romeo and Juliet a famous play by William Shakespeare. If you do not know William Shakespeare then you are about to," Mr.Andrews jokes as he finishes passing everything out.

"This quote is spoken by Benvolio-," Mr.Andrews begins to explain.

"Friar Lawrence," Juliet and Edward mutter simultaneously before pausing as the two side-eyed each other.

"Sorry that's right by Friar Lawrence," Mr.Andrews says smiling towards the two who look back at him.

"Act 2, Scene 6," Juliet whispers making Edward look at her.

"And in their triumph die, like fire and powder," Edward quotes making Juliet turn her head toward him fully.

"Which as they kiss consume: the sweetest honey," Juliet quotes.

"Is loathsome in his own deliciousness and in the taste confounds the appetite," Edward quotes towards her.

"Therefore love moderately; long love doth so;
Too swift arrives as tardy as too slow," Juliet finishes making Edward nod at her.

"Well done!" Mr.Andrews claps making the two look and see the entire class watching the two in a mixture of disbelief and annoyance.

"In this scene Friar Laurence is warning Romeo about the dangers of impulsive love, foreshadowing the tragic consequences of their actions," Mr.Andrews tells the class.

"In the first line, Shakespeare used the word 'violence' twice it goes right to the heart of the play's true meaning – star-crossed lovers, extreme (violent) joy in their love, ending violently. Everything in this play points to those two things – violent delight and a violent ending," Mr.Andrews tells them as the class watches him.

"This play is about a pair of star-crossed lovers caught in irresistible sexual attraction rushing towards a violent end. Love in this play is extreme and violence pervades the whole text," Mr.Andrews concludes.

"Go wisely and slowly. Those who rush stumble and fall," Juliet quotes making Edward smirk slightly.

"Also Friar Laurence Act 2, Scene 3," Edward tells her making Juliet nod.

"One fire burns out another's burning, one pain is lessen'd by another's anguish," Edward quotes towards Juliet who scoffs at that giving Edward a look as if he was an idiot.

"Benvolio Act 1, Scene 2," Juliet tells him in less than five seconds making Edward nod at her.

"For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo," Juliet says smirking as Edward chuckles shaking his head.

"Prince Act 5, Scene 3. The last line," Edward tells her making Juliet turn towards him.

"That was adequate," Juliet tells Edward who chuckles at that just as the bell rings making Juliet pack her bags up.

"Wisely, and slow. They stumble that run fast," Edward finishes making Juliet look over her shoulder as she begins to leave.

"Friar Laurence Act 2, Scene 3," Juliet concludes before she leaves the classroom Edward watches her go the entire time.

As the day moves forward Juliet ends up glaring at the salad bar in the cafeteria.

"Did the salad do something to offend you?" An amused voice quotations making Juliet huff.

"Salad. That's what they offer. That or a type of meat that is very questionable whether it is even meat. What in the heck? All I wanted was a sandwich," Juliet huffed as she turned around before freezing she looked up her eyes getting bigger the more she had to.

"Woah," Juliet mutters making the giant of a man laugh at her.

"I get a lot of responses to my height but never woah," the giant says with an amused look in his eyes.

"I think I just met Big Foot," Juliet says making the man laugh even harder at that.

"Not big foot. Emmett Cullens," Emmett says making Juliet nod at her.

"Juliet," the girl responds making Emmett smile as if knowing something she didn't.

"Sandwiches are in the back corner," Emmett tells her before walking away and heading towards a table in front of the windows where others were waiting for him that Juliet didn't recognize besides one who was staring at her.

Turning her head Juliet heads towards the back corner finding the sandwiches with a smile on her face.

"Now this is better," Juliet says nodding her head. Getting the sandwich Juliet heads towards a table in the back as she unwraps the sandwich and pulls a book out of her bag as she begins to read it enjoying the silence.

But most important the way she no longer had to keep the fake smile on her face.

As the final bell rings Juliet goes to leave her final class heading out of the school finding that the rain has stopped, but the parking lot full of water and patches of black ice.

"That's not dangerous at all," Juliet mutters shaking her head as she heads towards Bella's truck noticing the girl beside it with what appeared to be a golden onion in her hand.

Shaking her head Juliet heads towards the truck looking around the parking lot to see Edward standing by his silver Volvo with his siblings, about to climb in as he watches Juliet the entire time.

Giving him a fake sarcastic smile followed by a roll of her eyes Juliet continues her walk across the parking lot just as the sound of a high-pitched screech is heard.

Turning her head Juliet looks wide-eyed as she sees a van sliding on the ice completely out of control, heading directly for her.

The world around Juliet freezes as the van gets closer and closer to her.

As the van is less than a few inches from her something suddenly appears over her as something wraps around her waist shielding.

Looking up wide-eyed and breathing picking up Juliet sees Edward above her. The world around them freezes as Edward closes his eyes and takes a deep breath as if breathing in Juliet scent.

And when he opens his eyes it's as if the world comes back abruptly.

Juliet's entire body becomes rigid as the girl stares at the van not even noticing Edward getting up leaving or appearing around her screaming and falling if the girl was okay.

Juliet looks at Bella who is speaking to her but it is like she didn't actually see her and couldn't understand her just as he body becomes heavy.

With Juliet Crain, passes out in the frozen parking lot.
