I finally finished my assessments, so here we go!
I love season 5, so I'm really excited to be starting this! Let me know what you're thinking!

"All right, so I found some cool two-bedroom apartments in the Mission District, but they're expensive."

I moved onto my elbows so that I could see my boyfriend. "Stiles, why would we need a two-bedroom? This is just an apartment for when we're at college."

"What happened to all of us moving out together?" Scott scoffed, looking completely offended by the insinuation that we would leave Beacon Hills without him.

It was the night before our final year of high school, and we were currently at the Beacon Hills lookout. Scott and I were sat on the hood of the Jeep, while Stiles stood beside it, looking at listings he had printed out.

"Oh, come on, Scottie. You know I'm kidding. We aren't going to leave without you," I laughed, shoving him lightly. He rolled his eyes as he grinned.

Stiles chuckled, before going back to reading the listings to us. "Anyway, there's a couple in Haight and Ashbury. Also expensive."

"What about Berkeley?" Scott asked, brows furrowed. "Don't a lot of students live around there?"

"Yeah, yeah, we could try Nob Hill. But, the Jeep would probably burn through a lot of clutches."

Scott turned to our friend, "You're bringing the Jeep?"

"Bite your tongue," I gasped in shock. "Of course he's bringing the Jeep. Sometimes, I think he loves this thing more than me."

Stiles' mouth fell open as he began to stumble for words shaking his head. "Of course not. But you know the plan. No one gets left behind. Okay? Including Roscoe. That's the plan. Lydia's not gonna have a problem getting into Stanford. Kira's thinking USF. Malia's, uh, gonna, you know, she'll figure something out, okay. The plan's perfect."

Scott turned away, his eyes glancing out across Beacon Hills. "Or we could also wait until we actually get into college and then we can figure out where to live."

"I have a vision, dude. Okay? And it is a beautiful vision. Don't ruin the vision," he told our friend, sounding frustrated.

I reached a hand over and rested it on his arm. "Everything's gonna work out, okay? No one is going to ruin the vision; I won't let them," I smiled.

Stiles smirked, a smile making its way to his lips. "God, I love you," he mumbled before leaning forward and pressing a quick kiss to my lips.

"Really, guys?" Scott said.

I rolled my eyes with a laugh, "Oh, come on, Scottie you used to be the romantic here. You and Kira need to get back on relationship terms, because you're really putting a damper on things."

"We are. I think," he mumbled, staring at the stars. "I haven't seen her since she left for New York."

"And she'll still be into you," Stiles assured him. But his focus was only there for so long; his vision was the most important thing to him at the moment. He was so afraid of what was going to happen after we left school, that he was trying to micromanage every step.
"Okay. We can check out the East Bay. Haven't looked at Oakland yet, you know."

Stiles stopped talking about apartments, something else grabbing his attention. I followed his line of sight, to see he was staring at Scott. The boy had a small smile on his face, staring up at the full moon.

"You all right?" Stiles asked. "You're starting to feel it?"

Scott shook his head, "No. Just thinking."

"About what?"

"Senior year."

I felt a groan escape me at his words. Senior year terrified me a little too, to be honest. Our whole future came down to how well we did this year. With everything that was always happening in our personal lives, it was hard to imagine how we were supposed to manage school also.
"What about it?"

"Yeah, senior year is nothing," Stiles stated, waving it off. "That's going to be easy."

I didn't exactly agree, but I didn't want to bring him down.

Scott seemed unsure as well as he sat up straight, shifting on the Jeep. "It's more like something Deaton told me once. You guys ever hear of regression to the mean?"

"Doesn't sound familiar," I answered as Stiles shook his head.

"It was his way of saying that life can't ever be all bad or all good. You know, eventually things have to come back to the middle. So, think about the last few months. Things have been good, right? But not amazing."

I did as he said and thought back. The past few months had been some of the best I'd had in a long time. Iris had been training me to use my abilities, which definitely had a better outcome than when I'd tried to teach myself. I was able to manipulate enough to push people back like she had to me the night we met, and I was working on being able to do more.

Lydia had spent most of her Summer with Parrish, trying to help him figure out what he was. So far, they hadn't had much luck, spending hours poring through the Bestiary. Lydia would figure it out though; she had a knack for things like that.

Malia had spent her months in Summer School, due to her grades not being up to standard. If she had any hope of joining us for senior year, her grades there needed to be enough. Stiles and I had helped her study and learn what she had trouble with, and I had faith she'd be able to do it.

Kira had gone to New York with her parents, since her father had work to do over there. Before they moved to Beacon Hills, he had been a university professor, and had apparently gotten an offer. They were on their way back now though, Mr Yukimura having completed his work in New York.

Isaac had stuck around like he said he was going to. He was still living with Scott and Melissa, and spent a lot of time riding or working on his bike. He had also spent a bit of time with Malia, but I wasn't sure what to make of that yet. I didn't want to ask yet either, just in case I was making something out of nothing.

Scott, Stiles and I had gone away for a couple of months, travelling around anywhere but Beacon Hills. We were hesitant to leave, but Lydia said she would inform us if anything happened while we were away, and then we could come right back. I had never been more thankful for Beacon Hills to revert to the quiet town we had once thought it to be.

After returning to Beacon Hills, Stiles and I practically spent the whole Summer together, and it didn't change my mind about our future at all. If anything, it made me more eager to finish school and move in together. Especially now that we had the Sheriff and Charlotte's permission and blessing to do so.

They were more willing when they found out that Scott would be living with us also. Although, I don't think they realise that he was equally irresponsible.

"I don't know. I think they were great," I smiled as I laid back against the windshield of the Jeep, living in those memories.

Stiles nodded, "Plus, no one tried to kill us in that six months, so. . ."

"Right," Scott agreed. "But we've been pretty much in the middle for a while. Which means at some point the scale had to tip one way or the other. Things are gonna get really good again. . ."

"Or really bad," Stiles completed, sounding exhausted by the thought.

I sat back up with a frown, "Okay, well I had a great few months, and you guys better not ruin that with this whole doom and gloom thing. How come we can't just hope that things are gonna get better, huh? Just once? Please? For me?"

Scott nodded with half a smile, "Sorry. You're probably right."

We all stared out at the sky as thunder rumbled and a bolt of lightning cracked across the dark sky. That better not have been some weird sign from the universe.

"Think it's been long enough?" Stiles asked after the lightning was gone.

"Yes!" The Beta called from behind us.
We all turned to Liam, who was currently chained to a tree.

Stiles put down his pen, frowning at the boy. "Hey. Trying to have an adult conversation over here."

"All right, you're two years older than me. And I'm fine," the boy insisted, the chains clinking as he moved. "Just let me go."

Shuffling to the side of the hood of the Jeep, Stiles grabbed my hips and lifted me off the car before placing me on the ground. When he looked up and saw Scott glancing at us, he shook his head. "Uh uh, you can get down yourself."

I chuckled to myself as I took Stiles' hand in my own, squeezing ever so noticeably. Scott jumped down from the Jeep, pulling a key out of his pocket as we all approached Liam.

Scott shrugged as he glanced from the key to the boy, hesitating. "It's not that we don't trust you."

"It's that I don't trust you," Stiles informed him, holding up his free hand.

"But after that last full moon. . ."

Liam laughed nervously, "It was one slip up."

I scoffed, "I mean, I wouldn't exactly call running around Beacon Hills naked a slip up, Liam."

"The Sheriff's Department got a dozen calls about it," Stiles told him, eyes narrowed.

Scott stopped unlocking the chains to look at the boy, "Why were you naked?"

Liam avoided our eyes, waving his hands in the chains, laughing nervously. "It was really hot out that night, okay. Let me go."

"You sure you're okay?"

"It won't happen again."

Scott nodded slowly, scanning his Beta's reactions. "You're in complete and total control?"

"Yeah. Complete and total."

The Alpha removed the lock without another word and the thick chains fell to the ground. Stiles and I gathered them up in a bag before the boy grabbed it and we began to walk back over to the Jeep.

We all climbed in and I got stuck in the backseat next to Liam. I was dating the driver, and Scott still got the front seat some how. Maybe next time I'd just challenge him to rock-paper-scissors or something.

"Is it a party?" Liam asked as we drove back towards town.

"It's not a party," Stiles responded from behind the wheel.

"Then what's at midnight?" Liam asked, not letting up.

"Your bedtime. Just stop asking questions, all right?"

I laughed at him, shaking my head as I grabbed my phone out. Still no word from Malia, who we were supposed to be meeting up with soon. Unfortunately, I wasn't getting a signal.
"It's a senior thing, Liam," I added, putting my phone down. "Therefore, you'll get to know when you're a senior."

"You guys having trouble with your phones?" Scott asked, staring at the screen of his own.

I nodded, "Actually, yeah. I can't get a signal."

Strangely on cue, the Jeep began to sputter, slowing to a roll, before stopping. "What the hell?" Stiles mumbled as the lights went out and Roscoe shut down completely.

"You out of gas?" Liam asked.

Stiles put the car into park with a frustrated sigh, "No, it's electrical. Probably the alternator again."

After Scott got out, I pushed the seat forward and climbed out after them, instructing Liam to wait in the car. He went to complain, but I just shut the door on him before he got the chance. Walking around to the front of the Jeep, Stiles lifted the hood and Scott held up a lantern that Stiles kept in the boot.

"Whoa, that's a lot of duct tape," Scott stated when the engine was revealed.

He wasn't wrong. Almost every square inch of the inside of the hood was wrapped in the silver tape. How the Jeep managed to keep running was beyond me. Stiles loved it to bits though, he wasn't about to give up on it; yet another thing that I loved about him.

When Stiles turned to Scott with a glare, the boy chuckled nervously, "Kidding. We'll fix it."

Stiles sighed heavily, resting his elbows on the edge of the Jeep. "I know, it's just the last night of summer, you know, so I wanted to make sure everyone was there tonight."

"Stiles, we're going to be there," I reassured him with a smile. "We'll push Roscoe there if we have to."

Scott nodded in agreement, placing the lantern on the Jeep so we had light. "You got any tools?"

"Yeah," Stiles confirmed, before holding up his trusty roll of duct tape.

I bit my lip to keep from laughing, both Scott and I grinning at the boy.

We got to work trying to fix whatever was wrong with the Jeep. Mechanics definitely weren't something I knew about, so I just did as I was told.

"Guys. . ." Liam called from the Jeep.

Pausing what I was doing, I called back to him. "Liam, we're almost done."

"Guys!" He shouted more loudly.

Tearing more tape off of the roll, Stiles shook his head, "Yeah, give us a second, please."

"Liam, stay in the car, okay?" Scott told his Beta.

We were about to go back to fixing the Jeep, when out of no where, a lightning bolt hit the ground metres from where we were standing. A scream escaped me, all three of us nearly jumping out of our skin.

"That was close," Scott stated after taking a deep breath.

"Very close," Stiles reiterated.

We jumped again when the Jeep suddenly started, the headlights turning on. This was all a bit weird, but I was still trying to believe that things were going to get better.

Liam's head was suddenly out the window of the Jeep, the boy staring at the three of us. "Can we go now?"

"I second that," I mumbled, tugging at my jacket. I'd seen stranger things in this town, but I didn't feel like waiting around for another bolt of lightning.

Knowing our luck, it would hit us next time.

When we finally got back into town, we drove down to the hospital where Isaac, Malia and Malia's dad were out the front. They had been helping move trees off of the road so as to help avoid car accidents.

After saying a quick hello to her dad - Mr Tate, not Peter - we had all headed into the hospital because Scott wanted to visit his mum before we went to the school. While Liam, Stiles and Scott went in search of her, Malia, Isaac and I remained at the front desk.

My sister was fidgeting nervously, constantly checking her phone. "No word yet?" I asked her.

Shaking her head, she locked her phone. "Nothing. And now I'm getting no phone signal, so I won't even know if they do put them up."

"I have no signal either. I heard one of the cell towers got knocked out," I explained, checking my phone once more. "Don't worry. You're going to pass, and we're all going to be seniors together. Okay?"

She nodded, but still seemed unsure. Isaac shrugged, "If I was able to make my grades up after being a fugitive, I'm sure you'll do great."

"Hey, Riley," I heard my boyfriend say. Malia, Isaac and I all turned around to see that Scott and Stiles had returned.
"If you were going away and I told you 'Don't worry, go have fun.' What would you think I was talking about?"

I thought for a moment, narrowing my eyes slightly. "I don't think you'd say that, because it sounds a bit like you're talking about me having sex with other guys. Why?"

Scott's eyes widened beside Stiles, "Okay, yeah. Now I'm worried."

"Scott, did you say that to Kira?"
The werewolf looked over at me, wincing.
"Oh, my god, you boys are hopeless," I mumbled.

As the lights in the hospital flickered, some EMTs passed us, wheeling injured people towards the ER. First the lightning, then the cell towers going down, now multiple patients arriving at the hospital; why did I get the feeling things were beginning to tip towards being bad?

When he spotted Melissa, Scott spoke quickly to the woman. "Hey, mum, where's all this coming from?"

"A jackknifed tractor-trailer on 115, caused a major pile up," she answered, not stopping to have a conversation.

After Melissa was gone, Scott turned back to us, Stiles already saying what the boy was thinking. "Okay, okay, there's only one way back into Beacon Hills from the airport."

"115," Scott answered with a sigh.

"Kira's never gonna make it."

"I can get her," Scott responded, beginning to walk towards the exit to the school.

I grabbed his arm as he went to pass me, "Scott, she's in the middle of a traffic jam. How are you going to get there and back in time?"

"We'll make it. Trust me," he reassured me with a smile. I let him go, and he began to walk away again.
"You guys head to the school. Lydia's probably already there. We'll meet you by midnight."

After he was gone, Malia, Isaac, Stiles and I all looked at each other, not surprised by Scott going after her.
"We better get going," I told them all.

"We'll meet him at the school," Stiles nodded, grabbing his keys out of his pocket as we all began heading out the same door as Scott had previously.

Malia hitched a ride with Stiles and I, whilst Isaac took his bike. We had made a deal to all be at Senior Scribe, and I still counted on that happening.
