"So...you really wanna go to this thing?" Dana asked me.

"Yeah, why not? Besides, we're literally on our way there", I replied.

"I know, but after everything with Alex and all that bullshit with Nora, do you really feel like going to a party?" Dana asked.

"I never feel like going to a party, but it's gonna be fine. I'll just third-wheel you and Jade the whole time!" I said.

"Oh, yay!" Jade said sarcastically.

"I'm kidding. Anyways, I feel like that by going I'm proving to Nora that all her shit doesn't affect me, you know?" I said.

"Fuck yeah!" Dana exclaimed, high-fiving me.

Once we got to the party, I realized that I'd maybe kinda made a mistake by choosing to come with Jade and Dana. Although big groups of people gave me tons of anxiety, I usually spent the whole time with Alex when I went to things like this and he always made me feel more calm. But now that we were broken up, I felt more uncomfortable than ever at stuff like this.

"Loosen up, Sammie! Let's just have some fun!" Jade said, grabbing my hand and pulling me onto the dance floor with her and Dana.

After a few songs, we went and sat down in the den.

"Don't look now, but Alex is over there talking to Nora", Dana said.

"Shit. Really? I don't wanna look. Do they look like they're a couple?" I asked.

"Ummm, I'd say so", Jade said.

"Yeah, her arms are wrapped around him and she doesn't look like she's gonna let go anytime soon", Dana added.

"Shit, really? Well, mission accomplished then. Great job, Nora! Your goddamn plan worked!" I said sarcastically.

"It's ok to be sad about everything that happened between you and Alex. I mean, I know he was a total asshole, but you two were together for a long time and were friends for awhile before that too", Jade said.

"Yeah, I know. I'm just sad because everything we had together was ruined because Nora decided to be a total bitch for no reason", I said.

"I told you that'd I'd beat her up!" Dana exclaimed.

"And I really appreciate that, and I'd totally have you do it if I weren't afraid that you'd be like expelled or something", I said.
Dana shrugged, "The offer still stands".

"I'm gonna go get some food. Do you guys want anything?" I asked.

"Get me some candy or cookies or something like that!" Jade said.

"Ooh same!" Dana said.

I got up and walked toward the kitchen, however, when I walked by the hall bathroom, I heard faint crying coming from in there.

"Hey, are you ok?" I asked knocking on the door.

"Umm, yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. Just go away, Sam", Chloe said from inside the bathroom.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Can- can you come in here?" She asked.

Even though I really didn't like Chloe, I opened the door and walked in to find Chloe sitting in the floor crying.

"Shit. Are you ok? What happened?" I asked.

"Ethan. I told him to stop. But he wouldn't. He said that it was ok because we're together. I kept saying no. But he wouldn't stop", Chloe choked out.

I gasped, "Did he...did he hurt you?".

"He practically held me down. We were kissing, and that was fine, but then he started putting his hands places that I didn't want him to. And I told him to stop, but he just kept doing it. And I don't know what to do", she sobbed.

"Oh my gosh Chloe", I said, sitting down next to her and putting my arm around her.

"Sam, I don't know what to do!" She exclaimed, putting her head on my shoulder.

"It's going to be ok. I know it doesn't feel like it now, but it will be ok", I said.

"He said that if I told someone, he'd tell them that it was all my fault. That I was accusing him because I cheated", Chloe sobbed.

"You have to tell someone. He did the same thing to me. At the beach that day. And I was terrified to tell someone, but I ended up feeling better after I told someone", I said.

"But, what if no one believes me?" She asked.
"Then, I'll tell them with you. We can both go to the principal at school, and he'll have to believe us. We didn't do anything wrong, and Ethan should be punished before he does this shit to anybody else", I said.

"I hope so", Chloe said.

"I'm here for you. You can get through this, I promise", I said.

"Thank you", Chloe said softly.

"Of course", I replied.
