Alaska stared at the video Tory sent her on her phone, gapping at Demetri who was speaking ridiculously loud, mocking Hawk by telling everyone he was a softie, talking about how he cried in Dobbys death when they watched Deathly Hallows and about him wetting the bed all the time. She could imagine Demetri made this speech while her and Hawk were in the closet, if it hadn't been he'd been sure to throw a punch at Demetri for everything he'd said.
Alaska wondered if Hawk had seen it yet, wondering if Tory sent it to him like she had her. Alaska considered asking but the text that lit up her phone threw her mind completely off track and had her hurrying out of bed. It had been just a little before two in the morning, pressing in the alarm system and creep outside. The summer night was rather colder, Alaska hugging herself as the thin material from the shirt she wore to the party not giving her any warmth.
Her eyes set on the Mercedes parked infront of her house, the one that was once hers, the lights off as a small phone light lit up the inside. Alaska hurried down the drive way, opening the back seat door and climbing in, "You keep your karate stuff in here?"
The front seat was filled with his bag he took to the dojo each day. Hawk grinned as he looked back at her, "Want me to move it for you?"
"No, i'm okay here. You don't want to come in?" Alaska asked, knowing her parents both took stuff to nearly knock them out so they'd get a full night sleep. Alaska was well aware nothing would wake them up, nor did they mind Eli staying.
"After, I have to show you something first." he said, starting the car up again. He adjusted the mirror, having it pointed on her so he could look at her each time his eyes flickered up. Alaska leaned back in the seat, looking out the window as he drove out of her neighborhood. Alaska let her eyes flicker his way again, sitting up some to subtly get a good look as his neck. She flinched slightly when she saw the red A she made a few hours ago was now a much darker color, standing out nicely against the paleness of his skin.
Hawk glanced at her through the mirror, watching her eye him. As he came to a red light, his head turned to look back at her. Alaska flickered her eyes up to meet his, raising a eyebrow in almost a daring way. Hawk grinned at her, turning back in his chair and driving off, "Where are we going?"
"The dojo." he announced back to her, "I have to be connected to that exact wifi to show you."
"Why that exact wifi?" Alaska questioned, being ignored as he took a turn and came into the parking lot. The dojo looked weird at night, no lights on at all. The street lights lit it up enough for Alaska to see the large cobra on the wall. Hawk grabbed his laptop from the front seat, getting out of the car and getting in the back with her.
"This might put a damper on your mood." he said, scooting in closer as Alaska did the same. Her eyes focused on his computer as they sat side by side. It felt weird sitting so close, so pressed together. It felt weird just being together right now, as if they hadn't had their tongues down each other's throat just hours ago. Hawk connected to the dojo's wifi, clicking on his search and finding the tab he was looking for.
The Cobra Kai websit.
"Anyone could look at this." Alaska spoke confused, adjusting herself so she wasn't leaning on him so much.
"Yeah, but not everyone can hack into anonymous messages." Hawk confirmed, staring at her. Alaska blinked as she stared back, knowing what he meant as her heart jumped slightly, "Do you wanna know who sent Sensei that anonymous message a few months ago about you taking drugs?"
Alaska hesitated before nodding her head, messing with her badger ring as she looked at the computer again. Alaska held her breath as Hawks fingers typed on the keyboard a moment, clicking on the exact message that had been on the website. With one final click, the name appeared in big, bold letters toward the pair.
Yasmine
The blonde that bullied Alaska for years.
"Are you kidding me?" Alaska asked in disbelief, staring at the screen, "Are you kidding me?"
"Not kidding you." Hawk said as he braced himself slightly for Alaska to start yelling any second now, "How'd she even know?"
"No clue, but i'm gonna find out." Alaska confirmed, shutting his computer for him with a huff of annoyance, "After I completely kick her ass."
"Obviously." Hawk confirmed with a nod of his head, "Do you think she saw you?"
"She couldn't have, I was always alone, I was sure about that." Alaska confirmed as her chest heaved in clear anger, "Someone had to tell her. God, why didn't I think of this sooner? Shes hated me ever since middle school."
"She's been gone all summer, if I had to guess she's probably back by now for school though." Hawk said as Alaska stared at him, "Want me to drive you to her house?"
"No, she could get me arrested for that." Alaska said as she went silent for a moment, "I'll find a way."
Hawk sensed her clear anger, grabbing her hand that rested in her lap. Alaska looked over to meet his eye slowly, her stomach flipped, "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Can I not just look at you?" he teased her with a eyebrow raise, a faint grin on his lips.
"Not like that." she spoke knowingly, turning a little to mimic his stare. Her eyes flickered toward his neck again, quickly so he wouldn't notice it.
"Get over it." Hawk spoke back to her, the street lamps shining in on the pair as passing car lights flickered across their faces every few moments, "What do you wanna do tomorrow?"
"For school?" she asked as he hummed, "If you want to ride together I can pick you up."
"Yeah, obviously." Hawk said as if she was dumb, his voice kept low as hers did the same, "But you know how people are on first days."
"How are they?" Alaska asked with a confused expression.
"Like sharks and seals." Hawk said to her as Alaska let out a snort, making him grin, "The sharks go after the single seals, they usually back off if another shark already has them though."
"So basically what you're saying is either be single or be treated like property?" Alaska questioned with a eyebrow raise, "I'm no ones property."
"Then i'll be your property." Hawk said quickly her way, Alaska leaned her head to the side to stare at him, nodding to his neck, "You've pretty much marked me already."
"Like a alpha, not a shark." she corrected him with a grin, "You're not my property either, Eli, and i'm not gonna treat you like it."
Hawks face flattened a bit as his eyes had a glisten of sadness, Alaska put a hand flat on his face, "But I will treat you like you're my boyfriend, if that's what you want."
"That's what I want." he spoke fast, scooting closer to her with hopefully eyes, "Do you want that?"
Alaska nodded her head quickly with a smile, rubbing her thumb across his face, "So much."
Hawk grinned, snaking his arms behind her and pulling her in closer. Alaska leaned over to put her lips on his first, grinning into the kiss as he pulled her closer. Hawk turned in the backseat, pressing his back up against the seat and pulling her to sit in his lap. Alaska kept her lips on his the whole time they moved, never breaking the kiss once.
Eli pushed hair out of her face, grinning up at her when they pulled back a second. Alaska laughed at his face, tilting his head back some and pressing grazing kisses onto his jaw and face before onto his lips again. Hawk almost became alarmed at how well she was at this, for someone who was completely inexperienced. Before she deepened their kiss, his hands came up and pulled her back.
Alaska went to open her mouth and ask what the issue was, cutting herself off as he kissed her neck. Alaska raised her eyebrows, tilting her head back some and rubbing the back of his neck. Hawk didn't dare leave a mark on her like she had him, knowing if he did she'd knock him out. Instead, he pressed kisses here and there, memorizing the exact spots she seemed to like most.
Alaska let him linger a moment before twisting her head around, grabbing his face and kissing him again. The pair giggled when Alaska's pulled back, "Hang on."
"Where are you going?" Hawk whined as she sat up some, his mouth kissing her collar bone as she hit the button on the back of the backseat, the chair suddenly reclining back, "Since when did it do that?"
"I didn't want to tell you unless I was back here with you." Alaska said as he grinned up at her, pulling her body with him as the seat reclined back.
