"We'll be home in no time. You're sure you'll be okay?" Gina asked as she came down stairs with bags. "You can always come to Mexico with us."
"Someone has to stay with Beth and Georgia." Alaska shook her head. "Just keep me updated every hour."
"Don't worry, I track down junkies and beat the crap out of them. I think i'll be able to find a lanky kiddo." Zane pulled his backpack on. "Miguel has gotten some muscles here lately though."
The door rang as Gina looked over. "Everyone brace yourself."
Zane and Alaska inhaled deeply as Gina opened the door, Johnny walking in. "Who's ready to go party in Mexico? Just to party! Absolutely nothing else."
"What-" Zane began before the second person walked in. "Robby."
Alaska dropped her fork, not expecting him. Robby looked at the three. "Hi."
The sound of his voice had Cedric yelping and running down the hallway, his toenails smacking into the floor. Robby smiled as he leaned down and picked him up. "Hey, man. I missed you."
"Babe, why don't you put these in the car?" Gina shoved her bag into Zane's arms and grabbing Johnny by the shirt, pulling him toward her office. Zane walked out of the house, leaving Robby and Alaska in the kitchen with Cedric choosing to be quiet like a mouse.
"Hey." Robby cleared his throat. "How are you feeling?"
Last time her and Robby talked was last night at the All Valley when they cried and apologized. But, for some reason, it was weird. "Fine."
"Well, I quite Cobra Kai." he shrugged his shoulders and set Cedric down. "I guess I just wanted you to know that."
Alaska nodded her head, it still didn't necessarily change the fact that he knew Terry was up to something. "That's good. And Tory?"
He shook his head, but Alaska had to choose to understand. Robby leaned on the counter now with a clear of his throat. "I know I told you but i'm-"
"I know you are." she cut him off with an exhale. "And I forgive you, it just might take a second for things to be normal again. If that's cool with you."
"Yeah." Robby shook his head. "But, i'm not just sorry for last night. I'm sorry for everything. The way I treated you, after all the stuff you did for me, it wasn't fair. Especially not to you."
Alaska shrugged. "I wasn't exactly the best person to you either."
Robby cracked a smile. "That foot to the face you gave me was pretty lethal."
It made her laugh. "You know what I mean."
"It's okay." Robby shrugged with a half grin. "So...can we be almost friends again?"
"Almost friends again." she confirmed, holding her fist out for him to bump. "I see your Dad is trying."
"Yeah." Robby sat down as she circled the counter. "We talked last night, I think he's trying."
"That's good, right?" Alaska sat next to him. "At least he's on his way to trying to be a better Dad?"
"Yeah, and i'm glad. But, I don't know." he shrugged, not knowing the words.
But, of course, she would.
"You don't have to forgive him right away, no one would ever expect you to do that." Alaska promised him. "I mean, he missed out on so much of your life. You have every reason to be angry, and I don't blame you for how you acted toward him when he tried to talk to you. It's not just something you can forgive right away. And the fact that he's still trying is what's a good sign, i'm just glad you two are giving each other the chance to heal."
Robby grinned at her. "Yeah, that's what I was trying to say."
They both laughed, Alaska shook her head as she dug into her bag. "Here, take this with you and apply it all over the van. It'll help open both of your senses and relax any tension."
Robby took the bottle of essential oil she held out. "Eucalyptus?"
"Trust me." she put both hands on her heart. "I know best."
"We'll see if you're right when we come back." Robbys stood up. "I wanna go talk to your Dad about something. I'm really glad that I got to see you."
"Me too." Alaska held out her arms as he hugged her. She put one of her hands on the back of his head. "I'm proud of you for leaving Cobra Kai like that. I don't ever wanna see anyone else get lost with them."
"I know." Robby admitted. "That's why maybe you can help me get Tory and Kenny out."
"But keep Kyler there." she pulled back. "We do not care about him."
"Yeah, screw that guy." Robby admitted. "He's such a dick. Like, worse then Cobra Kai."
"Tell me about it." she inhaled deeply. "You don't know half of it."
Robby put a hand on her shoulder. "See you when we get back?"
"See you then." she offered him a smile. Robby walked out of the door and headed toward Zane, his apology rehearsed multiple times and prepared perfectly.
Back in Gina's office, she'd been arguing with Johnny. "How could you do that? Really, Johnny? Make your son believe you genuinely want to spend time with him just to go after Miguel?"
"I do wanna spend time with him, I just wanna get Miguel in the process." Johnny shrugged his shoulders. "Is that so bad?"
"Yes." she rolled her eyes. "I know first hand that trying to force your two kids into a relationship isn't going to work. Look at mine."
"One of your kids is in jail and the other is a weirdo. I don't think that's mine." Johnny shook his head as Gina gave him a look. "Just...i'm gonna tell Robby, so please don't say anything to him until I get the chance to."
Gina rolled her eyes. "Fine, but if you don't tell him by the time we get to Mexico, I will."
"Fine." Johnny mocked as they left the office. "What'd you think of last night? Jimmys still a handsome stud, right?"
Gina shrugged. "I was paying attention to my husband, Johnny."
"Oh, yeah right." he rolled his eyes. "You aren't just a little curious if his wife is hotter then you?"
"Why would I care?" Gina gave him a look of disbelief.
"Come on, you're just gonna pretend like you weren't excited to see him? After all that stuff in high school?" he gave her a questionable look. "What about his son? Looks like him, don't you think? He's a real looker."
"Yeah, don't act very similar though." Gina shook her head as they walked into the kitchen. "I'll be back soon, Ali. Come here."
She walked over to hug her Mom, getting a kiss on the forehead. "I love you. Make sure you wrap though wrist."
"Love you too." she said back as Gina pulled back.
"Where's your Hawk at?" Johnny asked her.
"A start of summer party at the beach." she shrugged in return.
"Why aren't you there? You want him to look at a bunch of other hot babes?" he gave her a look of disbelief.
"There's probably gonna be people doing drugs and stuff." Alaska shrugged. "Just don't think today is a good day for me to be around that sort of thing."
Johnny exhaled. "You still bummed about the All Valley?"
"More bummed about Miguel." she admitted to him. "But, maybe this will teach me not to let my sobriety rely on someone."
"Don't be an idiot, you did that on your own." he pushed her shoulder. "When I get home, we're gonna find a way to beat the shit out of Silver. Cool?"
"Cool." Alaska gave a smile. "Bye, sensei."
"See ya, Antartica." he gave her a peace before leaving as well.
Alaska looked down at Cedric. "You wanna go get a hair cut with me?"
"Karate sounds like a very scary horror movie that everyone says isn't scary but actually is." Kody said honestly as he circled Alaska chair to cut her bangs more. Cedric and his cat, Mantis, having a field day with all the hair balls around the salon. "Like The Visit."
"God, that movie scared the shit out of me." Alaska said honestly.
"Me too but everyone says it wasn't." he sat still and talked at the same time, a skill she could never have. "My Dad is so against it. Against it as in he doesn't support it."
"I figured." she had to snort. "Can't say I really blame him...after the stuff I heard Kreese did back in the day."
"My Dad hates talking about it. I didn't even know anything until I met you guys and brought it up." he admitted, going to the back. "Wanna get these split ends off, too?"
"Sure." she shrugged. "I think it's kinda cool our parents were friends."
"Yeah, my Mom thinks your Mom is really hot though so she's kinda been feeling insecure." Kody admitted honestly. "She's actually getting her grey hairs dyed right now, that's why i'm here."
"Insecure?" Alaska frowned her eyebrows. "Your Moms so hot though."
"If my wife or husband had a super hot ex, i'd start to feel insecure too." he pointed out with raised eyebrows. "Why do you think Demetri doesn't like me since I went to prom with Wyatt?"
"Ex?" Alaskas eyebrows shot up. "They dated?"
"You don't know that Wyatt and Demetri are dating?" his jaw fell as he looked at her in the mirror.
"I mean my Mom and your Dad!" Alaska exclaimed. "I swore she had a thing for my sensei."
"She did, and when he broke her heart, my Dad was there to fix it all." Kody gushed with a hand on his heart. "Also had a thing for her since elementary school, don't tell my Mom."
"Holy shit." Alaska gave a crazy look. "She never told me that."
"Probably because your Dad would react how my Mom is now that she knows." he dropped the scissors on the tray. "Do you wanna keep these scissors?"
Alaska turned back with an odd look. "Excuse me, what?"
"I said do you wanna keep these scissors." he repeated while plugging the blow dryer in.
"I know what you said. But, why?" she rose her eyebrows.
"I don't know...to stab that old man with the pony tail?" he suggested. "Or I'll keep them stored incase you need them."
"Ugh, don't tempt me." she turned back around as he brushed through her hair to make sure it looked even. "Last time I acted that way, I broke my hands and now have got serious damage."
"When do you get those suckers off?" he nodded to her hands. "Suckers meaning that brace?"
"I don't know, i'm not suppose to do anything crazy with my hand until the bone is stronger." she used her good hand to rub the brace. "But when it is, then i'll come back for my scissors."
"Nice plan." he turned on the blow dryer and spoke loudly. "Curly or straight?!"
"Curly!" she yelled back as he nodded. "Tell me more about your Dad and my Mom!"
Tory opened up her door when she got a knock, blinking in shock. "Alaska?"
"Hey." she gave a small smile. "I should have called first."
"What are you doing here?" Tory frowned her eyebrows, glancing at Cedric by her side.
"I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out?" she offered with a minor shrug. "Everyone I know is either drinking on a beach, sweeping hair, or in Mexico apparently. Not that you're my last resort."
"I could have came to you." Tory opened the door open. Her apartments was a lot messier then she'd ever seen Alaskas house, and about the size of her living room. "Let's go to my room."
Alaska took a peak at her Mom before following Tory down the hallway. Tory gave her a half grin over her shoulder. "I like the new hair."
"Yeah?" Alaska smiled. "It feels really different."
"Hiding that massive forehead of yours." Tory joked as she shut the door. "No, I like it."
"Thanks." she sat down on her bed and put Cedric on the carpet. "What's happening?"
"Todays just been kinda quiet." Tory sat down with her. "Not feeling it."
"I get that." she admitted. "Do you miss Robby yet?"
Tory rolled her eyes with a half smile. "Not yet."
"How do you feel about him not going to Cobra Kai?" she cross her legs after kicking off her shoes. "Does it bother you?"
"Not really. I get why he wouldn't want to be there." Tory admitted honestly. "I mean, it's the same reason you left."
Alaska bite the inside of her mouth. "You think you'll stay?"
Tory hesitated. "Look, I know what happened last night was bullshit, but I tried to give you the trophy so I don't-"
"It's not the trophy." Alaska cut her off. "I don't wanna worry about you anymore."
"You don't have to worry about me. I can take care of myself." Tory slightly snapped at her.
"Can't help it. I care about you." she shrugged in return. "But, i'm not trying to tell you what to do."
"Well, i'm not leaving the dojo." Tory shook her head as Alaska nodded. "Doesn't mean i'm okay with what happened though. I'm gonna keep my eyes open more now."
It was a start, Alaska nodded with a half grin. "I'll take it."
Tory moved to lay back on her bed as Alaska followed. "I heard Miguel was in Mexico? Is that why Johnny took Robby?"
"I don't know." she admitted. "I think he actually wants to be with him, but wants to save Miguel too."
"Is that why you're here? Because Miguel's gone?" she glanced over before they continued to stare up at her ceiling together.
"I did wanna come see you." Alaska promised. "But, i'm kinda trying to keep myself as busy as possible."
"Why?" Tory questioned.
"When I got sober, Miguel was the one to help me the most. He convinced his Mom not to call rehab, he made sure she got all the right stuff from the hospital. So many people were there to support me, but he understood it so much better then anyone else." she explained. "And when I almost relapsed, he was there too. And everytime things got rough, he was there. I think I rely on him a lot when it comes to my sobriety, so now I just feel worried since he's gone and after last night."
Tory looked over. "That's why you have to rely on yourself. You can't expect anyone else to be there for you more then you will be for you."
"I know. For some reason, I never thought of it like that." Alaska admitted as she turned her head to her as well. "Maybe Gods trying to test me by sending Miguel to Mexico."
Tory gave a snort. "I think God test me every single day."
"Right?" Alaska agreed with a laugh as Tory did the same. "I mean, really? Do we need to be tested that much? At least just pop quiz us."
Tory laughed loudly from next to her. "Or give us a study guide so we have some type of idea of what's coming."
