╰┈➤ Deep in the woods, you could hear children laugh. It was a laugh of happiness. The one you would smile at yourself. It was a melody to your ears. Birds were chirping and leaves were rustling. The wind danced around, making leaves fly and dance with the wind. The sky was a light gray color without a sun. It meant that it was going to rain soon.
When you follow the laughter you'll see a little girl who had a cute black dress. She had a blue denim jacket on herself so she wasn't as cold. The person next to her was years older. They looked similar. If someone saw them for the first time they will say immediately that they are related. He looked like her father.
"Hermione, please. You have to focus. Your powers could get out of control when you get older." The blue-eyed man watched the little girl play around, following the butterfly.
"I want to catch the butterfly, Dad." The little girl chirped and followed the blue-colored butterfly that was still trying to escape. The man shook his head at his daughter and chuckled.
"Wait. I can teach you a spell so the butterfly stops flying. You just have to be calm while doing so." The ginger girl stopped running and watched as the butterfly continued to fly in the circle for some weird reason. It was like it wanted to be caught.
"Come here." The little girl listened to her father and stood next to him. The man sighed out of relief that his daughter finally listened to him for once. Hermione was a wild little kid.
"Now, listen to me carefully. Focus on that butterfly. When you do that, say these words out loud or to yourself. Whichever you want, it will work. Stopisasis. Now do it."
Hermione followed every step her father had told her to do. She focused on the butterfly and followed every move it made. Their beautiful blue wings gave beauty to the nature around them, even if it was a tiny creature.
There was a pause after the girl said the words. Suddenly, the butterfly stopped and it started to float in the air. The man slightly smiled feeling proud of his daughter. Now learning that the only way to teach her how to control her magic is with things she loves and adores. They happen to be little beautiful and peaceful creatures.
Hermione started jumping up and down, happy that she made it. The girl then ran towards the butterfly and started to explore how it was just floating in the air. How it didn't fall to the ground. It was fascinating to the girl as she paid attention to it.
Slowly but carefully the girl put the creature on her hands. Her dad was looking at the scene unfolding and smiled. He doesn't smile a lot, so it was a rare state you could see him in. He was usually serious and angry, but when around his daughter, he was a nice person.
"Enough of the lessons for today. Come, I want to show you something." Hermione grabbed the man's finger, continuing to follow him wherever he was leading her.
They walked for about five minutes before they arrived. In front of them was a lake that was moving so fast. There was a big tree next to it, with a swing attached to it. It had a calming presence to it. No one was there to ruin your day or be too much noisy.
The look on Hermione's face when she saw it was priceless. The girl dragged her father towards it and immediately sat, waiting to be pushed. The swing was above land, but when she goes forward she'll be above water.
The man put his hands on the swing and started pushing forward. Each time she asked for more he did, till it reached a high level. The woods were once again filled with Hermione's happy and childish laughs. Her smile reached her beautiful blue eyes.
"More! More!" Her father chuckled and continued. Not knowing he will ever love being a father as much as now. He has a child fever right now.
Hermione started turning her head to look at her father...
Hermione gasped for air, standing up from her bed. She was sweating and lost at where she was. The redhead grabbed her neck and started to breathe normally. It wasn't a nightmare, but it felt like one. Looking at the clock, the girl saw it was 3 am.
Closing her eyes, Hermione went back to sleep.

Mr. Harris has turned his back on his class. He was writing down something on the board. The infamous group of four was sitting at the back. Usually not pay attention to the chemistry. Lola and Hermione knew the subject, but the boys didn't. However, they didn't care.
"Maybe it was my blood on the door?" Scott asked. Continuing the conversation about how the young werewolf had a weird dream last night about killing Allison.
"Could be animal blood. Like maybe you caught a rabbit or something?" Stiles attempted to whisper, knowing him it wasn't as quiet as it should be.
"And did what?" Lola questioned, not getting Stiles's point. Hermione leaned on her seat to hear more.
"I don't know. Ate it." Stiles stated like it's a logical answer.
"Raw?" To which Hermione groaned at the boys stupidity.
"No, you stopped to bake it in a little werewolf oven. How should I know? You're the one who can't remember anything." The group looks up when Mr. Harris suddenly speaks up from across the classroom.
"Mr. Stilinski, if that's your idea of a hushed whisper you might want to pull the earphones out once in a while. I think you, Mr. McCall, and Mrs. Saltzman would benefit from a little distance. Yes?"
Stiles disagrees, but it goes unnoticed. Hermione glares at Lola for not getting in trouble and grabs the rest of her stuff. Stiles and Scott already moved away and the only. empty seat was left behind one person she hated with all her heart.
"Let me know if the separation anxiety gets to be too much." With that Hermione sits next to Jackson and scoffs. Mr. Harris went back to teaching.
The redhead could feel his eyes burn into her head. Jackson was staring and didn't try to hide it. It wasn't a stare that a person admires you, it was a stare that was filled with hatred. She could see his mouth opening and before he could speak up her hand went in front of his face.
"Don't, I'll eat you up." That didn't stop him. Jackson started to talk about how she was irresponsible. How she's bad in school and how she doesn't have a boyfriend.
"Will you shut your lizard-looking ugly ass up?" That made Jackson gasp and shut his mouth. Just what Hermione wanted. She was furious that she had to sit with him.
After a few minutes Harley, stood up announcing that they found something. Everyone went over to the window to look at who was being dragged into the ambulance car.
Hermione sighed seeing it was some man and that he was seriously injured, luckily not dead. Scott got out of the crowd, Stiles following. The young wolf was shocked and couldn't believe that he had done that.
"Stiles... I did that."
☽
"Dreams aren't memories."
Stiles states while the group settles at a big empty table. Scott sitting on the opposite side of the other three teenagers. Their friend was rambling about last night, once again. He hasn't calmed down yet. Not when he found out that someone was hurt.
"Something happened last night, and I can't remember what." Hermione sighed and took a bite out of the sandwich she ordered.
"What makes you so sure that Derek even has all the answers?" The ginger turned her head towards the boys in a rush.
"Woah, wait a minute! You want Derek's help? As in Derek Hale?" Hermione had a wired earphone in one of her ears, so she mostly didn't listen to what the boys were talking about.
"Right? That's what I thought! But our Scott here doesn't want to listen." Scott gave them a look to scold them and continued with his rambling.
"Because during the full moon, he hasn't changed. He was in total control. While I was running around in the middle of the night attacking some totally innocent guy." Lola had only a muffin on her plate since she ate every day before school. Hermione sees her eating always something from the bakery when coming into the school.
"Maybe you didn't do it." Stiles pointed at the blonde, agreeing with what she just said.
"I can't go out with Allisonm I have to cancel." Hermione looked up at that and took her earphones out of her ear. She was alerted now.
"No, you are not canceling! Don't leave my girl Allison hanging. Seriously. Go on that date. It's your whole life." Scott put his hands in the air, in surrounder. Feeling defeated by his friends.
Suddenly, Lydia came and put her lunch on the table. Sit next to Scott. Stiles, Hermione, and Lola looked at each other in confusion. Well, Stiles is more nervous because of the strawberry blonde. Allison just sat next to Scott.
Allison and Hermione made eye contact smiling. The redhead blew her a kiss, in a greeting manner. While Allison pretended to catch it and put it to her chest. The sweet moment was ruined by Jackson kicking a kid out of his seat. Hermione rolled her eyes momentarily laying her head on Lola's shoulder.
"So, I hear they're saying it's some type of animal attack. Probably a cougar." Danny, the famous gay guy in school announced. Taking a bite out of his apple. He was a pretty decent guy, he has nothing against the group -- except Stiles.
"I head mountain lion," Jackson added feeling confident. Lydia then popped in saying it's the same thing, but quickly covered it with 'I think'. This is one of the reasons Hermione despises Jackson. The strawberry blonde always tries to impress him, by being dumb.
"The guy's probably some homeless tweaker who's gonna die anyway." This made Hermione so much rage that her spoon for pudding went over to the other side of the table.
Everyone's eyes turned their attention towards her for a second. Lola grabbed the girl's hand to calm her down. Hermione's magic got out of control again. It has been happening since the night of the murder but in little amounts.
"Actually, I just found out who it is. Check it out." Stiles hit the pause button after he put his phone in a position where everyone could see the screen.
The reporter announced the victim's name and Scott chirped in how he knew him. He was his bus driver, back when he lived with his dad.
"I still can't wrap my head around how you didn't get in trouble today in chemistry. You're his favorite, I swear." Hermione rolled her eyes flustrated. She was talking to Lola, finding this convo about the attack last night boring already.
"Maybe if you stopped going up his ass, he wouldn't like you." Danny and everyone else -- except Lydia and Jackson -- laughed. The goalie did a handshake with Hermione as the sign of victory. To which he got a slight punch in the should by his best friend.
"Can we talk about something slightly more fun, please? Like, oh, where are we going tomorrow night? You said you and Scott were hanging out tomorrow night, right?" Scott chirped in, breaking the ice between the two rivals. Allison looked at her new friend shocked, but didn't say anything. Hermione chuckled at that.
"Um, we were thinking of what we were gonna do." Stiles looked up from his food, scared that Scott will do something stupid.
"Well, I am not sitting home again watching lacrosse videos, so if the four of us are hanging out, we are doing something fun." Lydia looked from the couple to her boyfriend.
Scott talked with Allison about it and she said it sounds fun. To which Lola and Hermione held in the laugh they were holding.
"You know what else sounds fun? Stabbing myself in the face with this fork." Jackson announced. Hermione wanted to say something but Stiles covered her mouth. The redhead punched his hand away signaling she won't say anything.
"How about bowling? You love to bowl."
"Yeah, with actual competition." Jackson removed Lydia's hand from his leg and rolled his eyes.
"How do you know we're not actual competition? You can bowl, right?" Allison made a challenging face to which Hermione shook his head in embarrassment.
"Sort of."
"Is it sort of or yes?"
"Yes. In fact, I'm a great bowler." With that Stiles, Lola, and Hermione sank in their seats. Knowing that tomorrow night will be when Scott embarrasses himself in front of a girl he likes.

It was after school and the weather was cloudy. The woods were peaceful as usual and birds were weirdly quiet today. The young witch had a sports bra on with sweatpants on. She also had earphones in, listening to Bruno Mars. Her hair was put in a messy bun, making the cold breeze tingle her skin more.
Hermione loved running in the woods when she was alone at home. It wasn't surprising, since her favorite place was the woods. Maybe, it was because of what she liked in them or it was locked to her past. It meant that maybe the dream from the morning was probably real.
Every day, Hermione would run for about 2 hours. She would go at different routes each time. Some were longer than expected, but some were shorter. So short that the girl ran both time there and back before finishing her goal for the day.
The redhead came in front of Derek Hales's house. It was burned and old, very old. Hermione wanted to run past, to not look weird for watching it for so long. However, she saw Scott on the front porch talking to the older werewolf.
It wouldn't be her if she didn't snoop around. Taking one earphone out of her ear, Hermione started to listen to their conversation. He did ask for help and Derek started explaining things to the boy.
Not long after Derek looked towards the way the young witch was standing. Making her widen her eyes, knowing she has been caught. Hermione put back her earphone giving him a small smile.
After that, the girl ran for her life. Not wanting the man to come and talk to her. She wasn't afraid of him. It's just that he seems way too familiar than just hearing of him in the news. That creeped Hermione out and she didn't know what to do.
Suddenly she heard her phone ringing so she put the earphones in her other pocket. Picking up the phone, she saw Lola's name written on the screen.
"Hi" Hermione simply greeted, continuing to run. Until she finds some big rock she could sit at and relax.
"Hi! Are you running?" Lola asked.
"Yeah! Wait I found a rock." The girl sat down exhausted from running. She groaned. "I regret not bringing myself water."
"Well, if you listen to me sometimes. You would have been better now." Hermione rolled her eyes, Lola acting like a mom. When in reality, she was the one who couldn't survive alone.
"Anyways, I called you because of something. My mom and I-" The blonde didn't get a chance to finish when her phone was snatched.
"It's Katherine. You're coming this weekend for a sleepover at ours!" The Saltzman girl chuckled at the adult. Katherine was like her mother and she loved her with her whole heart.
"It's a deal. Ms. Sinclair." Katherine groaned hating when they called her like that. She let Lola have her phone again.
"Well, I gotta go and study history now. See you at school!" Lola rushed making a kiss sound. The girl was always in books and studying. It's like her hobby.
"Byee, Love you!"

"Finally, no work today!"
Dean Saltzman commented, plopping himself next to his daughter on the couch. It was the type of night where they watched some horror movies together. Today was time for Scream. In all honesty, Hermione watched it already, but she could rewatch it hundreds of times.
The redhead glanced at her father. He was sometimes a bit... lazy. It was reliving knowing you have a lazy father so you could use that against him. When in arguments this is usually brought up, which is funny.
"Please, it's like you're working all the time," Hermione complained, setting up the movie and hitting the pause button. Meaning the movie has started.
Dean doesn't say nothing after her comment. He was too concentrated on watching the movie rather than having any other conversation.
It was a scene where Casey was hiding outside with her phone clutched to her chest. The bob-cut blonde then started to run towards the car she saw, but Ghostface caught her. After a few seconds, her parents were on the front porch and she tried calling for them, but she had lost her face. Ghostface has made his last shot and killed the girl.
In Hermione's mind, came the conversation from last Saturday's game. Between her father and Chris Argent. It was now bothering her that she couldn't focus on the movie anymore. And Scream was one of her favorite horrors of all time.
Suddenly, she paused the movie making her father frown at her. There was a hint of confusion on his face. Hermione sighed and crossed her legs, hoping this conversation wouldn't make them get into a fight.
"On Saturday's match, Allison's father asked you a question. Will you accept it?" The girl looked at her father. Dean was caught off guard when he heard that question.
"Dear, what are you talking about?" Hermione frowned looking away from the man.
"Dad, don't lie to me. I heard it. Will you accept it? Will you become a hunter again?" This made Dean quiet. He was coming up with an answer.
"Will you help them kill the Alpha and hurt Derek? Please, tell me you won't! If you do, just know you lost my trust. Because if you hunt them, you could easily hunt me. I won't trust you anymore." Hermione looked at her father, fighting back the tears.
"No, my dear! Of course, I won't." Hermione frowned searching the truth in his eyes, but nothing. The girl could hear the unsureness in his voice. He was lying.
She started shaking her head standing up. Dean looked at his daughter who started going towards the stairs. He tried to call her to come back, but she didn't answer.
Instead, Hermione went into her bedroom. When she closed her bedroom door, she broke out crying. The redhead girl slid down the doors resting her head on her hands.
Suddenly she got a text from Stiles.
"Driver's dead."
