||Felix's POV||
I sounded the horn to my car, so as to get the gate man's attention. The gate man opened the gate within seconds and I drove into Eno's father's resident.
Taking out the keys from the ignition, I retrieved my phone from my side pocket. I was about texting Eno, about my arrival, when a loud knock from my window startled me.
I turned to the side, to see Eno smiling down at me. She waved her right hand frantically, as an indication for me to step out of my car.
I took in a sharp breath, before unlocking my car. I stepped out and stood in front of a smiling Eno.
"Welcome," She said in a cherry tone. I diverted my attention to the large house in front of me. "No one is at home, so you're free to come in."
She led the way into the mansion. Once in, I let my eyes digest its scenery.
"Nice place," I credited, and helped myself, by sitting on one of the couches.
"So," Eno sat beside me. "Felix." She called.
I turned to look at her. Eno still made my heart skip, even after she broke it with her harsh words and neglects.
"What is it?" I tried bringing myself out of the effect Eno still had on me.
"I want us to go back to the way things were in the beginning," She sighed. "I've been a bitch and__"
"I hated you in the beginning. Remember?" I stopped her from speaking any further. I just couldn't stand and watch her call herself a bitch.
"Well....." Eno dragged, as she rubbed the nape of her neck. "Maybe not from the beginning but..... Well, you know."
"After the bet," Upon hearing those words, Eno lowered her head.
"I still hated that bet," I lifted my left hand and was about stretching it towards her but, I decided against it.
"Then don't think about the bet," I sighed, as I placed both hands in my side pocket.
We remained silent for some seconds, which was kind of awkward.
All of a sudden, Eno jumped on the chair before yelling, "Right!" She held a hand up, like she just remembered something important.
"Come with me," She got hold of my hand and began to tuck it towards her direction.
"What is it?" I asked in confusion.
"Just come with me," Eno demanded. Her childish antics made the side of my lip to twitch, but I quickly hid the smile.
I decided to comply, as I got up from the couch and allowed Eno to drag me to God knows where. She led me into the dining, and forced me to sit on one of the seats.
"Wait here," She quickly said, before rushing into what I presume must be the kitchen.
"Like I've got a choice," I murmured dryly to myself. Eno came out with a tray and set of covered dishes. She walked towards the dining, and placed the set of dishes right in front of me.
"This is my peace offering," Eno gestured to the meal. "I realized the the Igbos, loves Egusi soup. So, I decided to prepare one."
Eno began to open each set. The soup was indeed eye catching. It was thick and had everything it needed. At the other set contained fufu, and a bottle of fruit wine laid down on the tray.
I wasn't sure of what to think of this. Eno, cooking for me, was kind of creepy. I looked at the meal that could make any mouth water, and then at Eno.
"How can I refuse?" I smiled at her.
Eno smiled back, waving her hands at me. "Don't sweat it."
"No seriously," I shook my head at her. "How can I refuse? literally."
Eno sighed and slumped down on one of the dining seats. "Come on, I made this for you. Okay okay, Emem helped a little."
"You hate me," I reminded her. "It could have been drugged, or probably worst."
Eno laughed a bit, "What doesn't kill you, m__"
"Might succeed on the second trial." I cut her short.
"Just try it out," Eno sighed. "I'm actually a really good cook."
"The washing bowl," I demanded with a hint of authority, to help hide the smile that was forcefully finding its way to my lips.
Eno scrunched her nose at my demand, but grasped the bowl nonetheless. I washed both hands and dig-in.

"Am I forgiven now?" Eno smiled widely at me, once I was done eating.
The meal was indeed delicious, and I tried not to let it out but my facial expressions failed me. Eno leaned closer, as she rested her chin on her palm.
"I could never hold any grudges against you, Eno." I said in all honesty. "I was just so angry when you did not support me in the time I needed you the most. I'm angry at my mum, for being to weak and letting that monster step all over her. I'm angry at my dad, for discarding my mum and I, and for choosing a cheap slut over us. And I'm angry at myself, for not standing against my dad. I let him go that easily."
I let my head hung low. "I'm nothing but a useless son." Eno hands reached for my chin, and slowly lifted my head. My eyes automatically met her's, as I watched her every move.
"I don't think you're useless, cause I don't fall in love with useless stuff." My eyes widened a bit, as I heard Eno's confession. Though she never wanted to make it clear, it was still a confession nonetheless.
"You ain't useless," Eno went on. "You're the best student at Blossom High School, both the teachers and the students, loves you. You've won so many awards, that even the school can't even count. You're your mother's back bone, and her only happiness right now. You stood to your dad, even after you knew it would break your heart. Can a useless son do all that?"
I shook my head, as I admired her. Eno was always full of surprises.
"Then you're not useless, cause you're worth any useless son out there. I'm not even sure if that made sense." I laughed a bit, same time Eno beamed.
"That's what I want to see," Eno chirped as she pinched my cheek. "That's a rare one dollar smile."
Eno let go of my cheek, she sighed and stood up. "I'd better clear the table."
Before Eno could reach for the tray, I got hold of her wrist and pulled her towards me. I planted my lips against her's, and felt her body tensed up. After that small kiss, Eno tried to get up from my chest, but I wouldn't let her.
"Fe__"
"I'm not letting you go," I quickly told her, "Never again."
Eno relaxed, as she let me hold her into my warm embrace. "And I ain't going anywhere."
