𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐢 𝐘𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐚 (山田カリ, Yamada Kari) is currently a Genin-level kunoichi-in-training of Konohagakure. When Kari had been less than a year old, she had become sick due to a chakra illness, and as a result, had to have most her chakra sealed away, and with it, all her childhood memories.

Kari was born as the daughter of Mara Uchiha and Taon Yamada, former members of the Hidden Leaf Village's Uchiha Clan and Yamada Clan. During her first six years of life, Kari became fatally ill with a rare condition that would have eventually caused her body to explode from an excessive amount of chakra built up inside her. She narrowly avoided death through use of the Yamada Clan's Hiden, Fugen Bosatsu, a technique deemed forbidden by the Five Great Nations for the cost of its use: the sacrifice of two others with considerable amounts of chakra. In this instance, it had been Kari's parents. As a result, the Yamada Clan and its mass amount of members were banished from the village, no longer recognized as one of the official clans.

Kari was raised in the mountains of the Hidden Snow Village by an elderly kunoichi named Makara, who had been entrusted with keeping Kari in the dark about her and her family's origin. From a young age, Makara trained Kari in the art of Taijutsu.

𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘
Regarding her life in the Hidden Snow to be similar to a prison, Kari had been expectantly passive, reclusive, and was a bit of a realist bordering on pessimism. Her dream was to leave the mountains -- her only goal. Her missing childhood memories are often a touchy subject for her, unable to recall anything of her parents or any family members she may have had.

For a short while upon arriving to her new destination, Kari experienced mild claustrophobia, never having been around so many people in her known life.

Kari is a person who's determination easily overcomes her fears, and anything that overwhelms her is quickly overcome with pure ego, rubbed onto her by Makara, which is normally hidden by her initial nervousness to approach the situation. Her natural talent to pick up new skills and learn new things and information fuels that part of her ego, but Kari's modesty and respectfulness is quick to stop her from flaunting too much. She is very proud of her strengths and is quick to acknowledge any weaknesses.

Despite her relative ease in learning, there are many things that Kari discovers difficulty in understanding, technology and romance being the biggest hitters, and often looks to others for help in both areas. Kari normally plays a supportive role for all of her friends, even being more of a mediator when fully necessary. She is easily against violence unless she believes it to be the only route to escape a problem. Kari doesn't have much of a verbal filter; for the most part, she only speaks truths and finds it difficult not to speak her mind where it needs to be spoken. If there's something she doesn't support or agree with, she is quick to argue against it or go as far as being willing to fight.

A very compassionate girl, Kari is always willing to do whatever it takes to move herself and her loved ones ahead, thankful and grateful to have loved ones.

𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄
Kari has dark brown hair, teal eyes, and pale skin, from the lack of sunlight in the Hidden Snow. She becomes considerably darker once in Konoha. It is said that Kari is a perfect combination of both her mother and father. Despite not being naturally conceived, and instead, born from the combination of both chakra and cells, Kari has inherited an impressive fifty-fifty cell count from each of her parents: her mother's body and face shape, as well as her abilities and battle technique, and her father's eye colour and shape and hair colour, as well as his versatility.

In Part I, she wore a teal, sleeveless v-neck qipao dress overtop a black undershirt, a black pair of shorts that reached down to her mid-thighs, a pair of matching closed-toe teal shoes with a yellow support brace over the tops. Kari carried a teal weapon pouch on her left thigh, and wore her Konoha headband around her middle. Part way through, Kari starts wearing a pair of armguards, mainly to cover up the scars on her arms -- they are teal in colour and have black tightening straps around the wrists for support.

→ Kari is left-handed.

→ Kari's hobbies are reading about Konohagakure's history and Makara's scrolls; eating at Ichiraku Ramen with Naruto, and travelling throughout the Ninja nations.

→ Kari's favourite foods are Ichiraku Ramen, fresh vegetables, and canned peaches. Her least favourite are packaged and processed foods.

→ Kari's main concern is not being able to bulk up to back up her Taijutsu, and as a result, spends a lot of time eating fattier foods. 

→ Kari's character had been conceived on Christmas Eve. As it is a tradition in the author's household to hang jasmine flowers around their home, they finally decided on naming her after the flower, itself.

→ Kari shares her English voice actress, Olivia Hack, with Ty Lee from Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Ninny Spangcole from the Bleach spinoff, Burn The Witch.

→ Kari shares her Japanese voice actress, Risa Taneda, with Ai Mizuno from Zombieland Saga, Erina Nakiri from Food Wars, and Mirai Kuriyama from Kyokai no Kanata.
