"Yo, get your ass in this right now." JJ spoke as he pulled up in an ambulance, stopping infront of Hayward's house as Lila walked out, "Want me to get out and be a lil gentleman? Open that door and kiss your hand?"

Lila ignored him as she circled the ambulance, jumping into the front seat. She looked over at him with a eyebrow raise, a almost death stare rested on her face.

"So- I- I talk first?" JJ asked as Lila only huffed, "Yup, okay. So, i'm real sorry for how I was to you. I was outta line and stressing out and I took that out on you way too much. I'm sorry, pretty lady."

JJ reached over to place a hand on her face, getting it slapped away, "No? Better apology? Alright. So, i'm an ass and you're not. I want you to help me out because you're my favorite person. How's that one?"

Lila narrowed her eyes, "Thank you for trying to protect me."

JJ gave a half grin and a shrug, "I do kinda protect you, don't I?"

"JJ." Lila gave a look, "Do not yell at me ever again."

"Got it. Yup, got it. You're in charge, ma'am. All you." he nodded and rose his hands in defense.

Lila tried not to smile, "Why are we in an ambulance?"

JJ smiled, "We're breaking John B outta jail when he pretends he's sick."

Lila buckled her seat belt.

"Wanna know what's cool about it?" JJ hummed as he tossed her her video camera, "People have died in here too."

Lila gasped as she dove into the back while he drove off.

"How long do we hang out in here?" Lila called out from the back as she set up the newly bought ghost tracker. JJ ignored her, "JJ? You hear me?"

"Can you get up here a sec?" he asked hesitantly. Lila gave a odd look as she climbed back in the front, sitting down with a eyebrow raise.

"I'm here, my ghost are back there." Lila said as she stared at his serious face, "Whats the matter?"

JJ gave a minor hum, "I gotta ask you something but I don't want you to over think it or anything."

Lila nodded her head as JJ faced her, "You and Rafe... whats up there?"

"Nothing really." Lila shook her head as she gave a shrug, "I'm still, just, really confused and my feelings and emotions are all over the place. I mean, he was the first guy I really loved, you know? But currently, we're not together and i'm trying pretty hard to stay away for my sake."

JJ nodded as he drummed his hands on the steering wheel.

"Why?" Lila asked.

"Told you not to over think it." JJ said back with a stern expression, "Let it go."

"Why do you care so much that I went to see him?" Lila laughed as she leaned back in the seat and looked over, "You just a little jealous?"

JJ didn't say anything, just looking off. Lilas face fell suddenly as she stared over at him, "JJ."

"Let's not do this right now, okay?" he asked with a hum, cringing slightly and avoiding looking at her.

Lila didn't take her eyes off him, "You always cut me off when I ask you stuff. You just say I don't get it. I just wanna know what that means and I'll leave it alone, swear."

"We never gotta talk about it again if I tell you?" JJ asked as he looked over at her. Lila nodded her head quickly as he sighed and looked away before back at her, "Take your time, but get your feelings and emotions straight about your Raphael ninja turtle."

Lila snorted, "Why?"

JJ stared over at her, not breaking eye contact, "Because one day, sooner of later, i'm gonna be the one you end up with. And I know that, real good in my head, you know?"

Lila blinked, her heart was in her stomach as he told her. Her face was red as she didn't look away, cracking a grin, "You sure about that?"

"Positive. It's gonna be me and you, I know it." he said back with a nod of his head, "I'm gonna be the love of your life."

Lila smiled softly, "Am I gonna be the love of your life too or is it one sided?"

JJ laughed as he gave a thinking face, "I don't think it's one sided, no."

Lila leaned on the seat as she gazed over at him with a soft expression, "So, we're gonna be in love? Sooner or later, you say?"

"Yup, sooner or later." JJ nodded his head in agreement, "And i'm gonna throw apples at you all the time and you're gonna wanna hold my hand and make the rest of the island disgusted with us. And we're probably gonna argue over stupid stuff but i'll never be able to take your seriously and you'll never be able to stay mad at me. Our first kiss is gonna be on the beach, after I finish teaching you how to surf because you gotta learn sooner or later, and the sands gonna be all in our eyes, seaweed all over, and you'll be talking about ghost and i'm not even gonna be listening because that's how into you I am."

Lila leaned on her elbow, her clear attempt in not smiling failing miserably as her lips curled up, "You just predicted all this happening? Like a psychic?"

"I did, yeah. So, you keep that in mind while you're figuring everything out in that creepy brain of yours." JJ spoke as he pointed over to her head, a nod of his own, "Because i'm gonna be here, just waiting on you to figure it all out. Even if it takes you a while."

Lila nodded slowly as her voice dropped, "I'm glad it's gonna be us."

JJ stared at her a moment, red in the face but a weight was lifted off of him. He went to say something again before the cop car pulled up next to the pair, window rolling down, "I hate when it's slow like this, you know?"

"Tell me about it, man." JJ agreed as Lila faced forward to avoid any extra attention.

"Hey, what happened to Ricky?" the officer asked as he noticed it had been JJ and Lila instead of the usual driver, "He bang out?"

JJ leaned out the ambulance window with a sudden blow, "Something like that."

"Got real sick. Food positioning, I think he said." Lila made the excuse to the man in hopes of covering JJ.

The woman on the radio came through, "One three Eddie. We got an unknown at KC Detention."

JJ grabbed the radio. "Yeah, ten-four. I'll be right there. Thank you so much. Over."

Lila gave him a proud smile.

"Duty calls. I'll see you later, officer. Uh, you have a good night, though, okay?" JJ hummed as he looked out the window again.

"Hold up. I got nothing to do. I'll pace you." the man smiled over at the blonde duo as the siren blared and the blinking lights went through the street.

Lila placed a hand on JJ's thigh, "We're gonna be fine. Gonna get John B and head off."

"Fingers crossed." JJ said back as he drove behind the cop car.

"Put this on." JJ said as he pulled the hat on Lilas head, "Don't make eye contest and don't look guilty."

"Got it." she nodded her head as the officers shined the light into the ambulance, checking over everything a moment, "JJ, you realize we're both on probation?"

"Yeah, I hear ya, loud and clear." he nodded his head her way, "We're all good."

"Straight ahead to the transfer bay." the officer spoke as he pointed forward.

"Copy that. Thank you, sir." JJ said back as he drove forward, "See that, Lila?"

"Saw that, JJ." she nodded her head. JJ backed the ambulance up, looking out the window to avoid hitting anything. He stopped right before the doors, putting it in park.

"All right, loud em up!" JJ encouraged as he looked out the window.

The nurse looked in disbelie, "You gonna get your patient here, chief?"

"JJ, duh." Lila said suddenly as she removed her hand off his leg.

"Yeah. Right on. I'm gonna get my patient." JJ said back as he gave Lila a panicked look and jumped out of the ambulance. He gave Lila a look, "You stay put."

"Will do." she nodded her head.

A few minutes passed as the back doors opened, making Lila look back and see they'd been loading a patient up that looked nothing like John B. She tried not to let the panic on her face show as she smiled at the nurse, "How's everyone's night going tonight?"

"Fine." she said back, a clear look of suspicious on her face. The phone was ringing in the back ground as the man was loaded up, JJ making eye contact with Lila. The nurse looked at JJ, "Thats your partner up there?"

"Ugh, yup, yup." JJ nodded.

"So is she gonna look after your patient while you drive?" the woman asked. Lila hurried and got out of the front and walked into the back.

"Hey there, fella. We're gonna get you all fixed up." she spoke to the man that had been in and out of conciseness.

JJ gave a tight lipped smile, "Yup, she sure is. Real good at it too. She's gonna do medial stuff on him or we're gonna loose him. So, i'm gonna go drive."

JJ hoped in the front, "Holy shit."

"Do you realize how close that was?" Lila asked as she looked at the asleep man, "And this dude is not John B!"

"They definitely know, they definitely know." JJ panicked as the cop cars turned the corner, "Shit, holy shit!"

"Hey, it's gonna be all right." Lila called from the back as JJ hit cruise control and jumped in the back with her. He ran a stressful hand through his hair and took gasp for breaths. Lila grabbed his hands, removing them from his face as he met her eye, he'd been crying, "We've got this. When have we not got out of something?"

JJ inhaled as he nodded his head, holding her a moment as he glanced at the doors, "I texted Kie."

The ambulance suddenly hit a stopped car from its lack of steering. The pair hit heads harshly and fell to the ground. Lila grabbed JJ's hand as she pushed the back doors opened, the pair jumping out and sprinting for the woods.

"Kie's on the street!" JJ called as he held Lilas hand as they sprinted, "You think they saw?"

"I think they were more focused on the crash!" Lila called back as they ran toward Kie's car.

"Come on!" Pope called out as he opened the back door, JJ jumping in first before Lila did the same close after. The pair took deep breaths suddenly as the collapsed on the seats.

Kie speed off quickly, "I'm seriously not even gonna ask."

"Look, we busted the wrong guy out of jail. Sue me." JJ said through deep breaths, leaning on the seat.

"Look, the plan would have worked." Lila defended JJ quickly, "It was a good one."

"What?" Kie asked in disbelief.

"At least I was trying." JJ argued.

"Why are you always doing stupid shit? Both of you." Kie said in disbelief as she drove down the road.

"Well, i'm gonna end up in jail anyways, so..." JJ's words made Lila look over, seeing the faint look of sadness along his face.

Lila scooted over, wrapping her arms around his waist and dropping her head in the crook of his neck. JJ rubbed her shoulders with the arm that was thrown around her.

"You guys, okay?" Pope asked the pair.

"We're okay." Lila spoke as she squeezed JJ tighter.

"Just a doozy of a day." the blonde boy said back as he rested his head on the seat.
