TODAY WAS THE DAY Jax and Caitlin had been waiting for. After two years of setbacks and only small steps forward, almost ten months ago everything finally worked out the way they had imagined. The surrogate mother hadnt become pregnant with Erin's first egg donation. It actually took several attempts before it finally worked.

And the moment Jax and Caitlin saw the baby on the ultrasound for the first time months ago, they knew that every dollar spent had been worth it. They used Caitlin's money to pay back the money they had borrowed from the others, although her father and Gemma had insisted that the young family should keep their moneyᅳ for which both were really grateful.

This meant that the now married couple could pay the others back their money faster while they used Jax' money to live on.

Almost five hours ago the surrogate mother called to let them know that she was in the hospital for labor. As agreed, Jax and Caitlin were also present at the birth, the woman who carried their child having no problem with it.

And when the first cry finally filled the room, Caitlin realized that she had become a mother again.

"She's here", she murmured, her hands folded in front of her mouth while tears welled up in her eyes as she looked up at her husband. "Our baby girl is here."

"About time, we've been waiting long enough", he said with a grin, his voice hoarse with emotion as he cupped Caitlin's face in his hands and put all his feelings into the searing kiss while he gently rubbed his thumb over her pale cheek. "Come on, let's take a look at our daughter."

After the words were spoken, a nurse came over to the couple with the small bundle, the little girl wrapped in a pink pre-warmed blanket. "Congratulations. You want to hold your daughter?"

"Yes, yes, of course!" Caitlin nodded eagerly and quickly pulled a hair tie from her wrist. After gathering her hair in a ponytail, she let the nurse hand her the small bundle. A gasp escaped her lips, her eyes growing with pure love. "Look how pretty she is!"

Jax appeared behind his wife, his hand resting on her lower back while he gently rubbed his thumb against her top. Completely satisfied, he looked over Caitlin's shoulder, catching his first glimpse of their daughter.

It wasn't only pride but also relief and inner peace that he immediately felt at the sight. Now they could finally breathe again, sure that nothing more could happen. They had their baby, their long-awaited second child.

"As beautiful as her mother", he whispered against her ear, a smile forming on his lips as Caitlin looked up at him full of happiness, rocking the baby protectively in her arms. "I still can't believe Abel is a big brother now."

"Right? God, he's going to love her", the redhead gushed as a few tears of joy rolled down her cheeks. She timidly ran the side of her crooked index finger over the little one's cheek. "She's perfect."

"She is", Jax agreed with a soft hum, running his large hand over the baby's tiny head, unable to take his eyes off her. "Are we sticking with Nola? I think the name suits her perfectly."

"Yes, we're sticking with Nola", Caitlin answered quickly, radiating pure joy. "Nola Teller, I like the sound of that."

"Me too", a tired voice croaked behind them, making the two turn around immediately. Exhausted but with a friendly smile, the blonde woman looked up while the doctor examined her. "I hope you have lots of beautiful moments with your daughter. She really made it easy for me during the pregnancy."

"Sounds like she's not a troublemaker..yet",  the blonde biker chuckled, flashing a grateful smile at the surrogate mother. "Thank you for making sure our daughter had everything she needed."

"Sounds stupid but that's my job", the woman winked despite the pain she had just been in.

"Maybe, but that doesn't mean that everyone takes this job seriously", Caitlin emphasized as she reached out her hand to squeeze the woman's. "Are you okay? Should we stay until you're done here?"

Even though it wasn't their job, Jax and Caitlin had her, and Erin, to thank for the fact that they now had a second child. So if the woman would feel better with them around, they would stay.

"No, I'm okay. As soon as I'm done here and get permission, I'll go home", the woman assured, waving her hand weakly. "Enjoy the time with your baby, I'm in good hands here."

"Okay good", Jax nodded, pulling his wife into his side. More than happily, he looked down at the redhead, admiring how good she looked while holding their daughter in her arms. "Let's get all the tests done and make sure we get home to Abel, huh?"

"Sounds like a good plan", Caitlin whispered happily, stealing a kiss from Jax' lips. "I can't wait for his reaction."

Jax shook his head, grinning. "Me neither. I think he's just as overwhelmed as we are."

The two shared a chuckle, pretty sure it would take a few days before they really realized they had another family member.

ABEL BEAMED AS HIS MOM sat down on the couch with the baby next to him, sitting on his dad's lap, impatiently waiting to finally see his sister.

"That's your sister, baby", Caitlin cooed before a soft laugh slipped past her lips as Abel immediately pulled himself up on her arm and leaned over the baby. "Her name's Nola, you like it?"

"Yes, I do", Abel nodded with a giggle before looking down at the baby, completely delighted. There were no more than a few baby noises coming from the bundle, but that alone fascinated Abel. "Can I hold her? Pleeeease?"

"Yes, but you have to be careful", Jax said with loving severity before he sat his son next to him and took the little bundle from Caitlin's arms. Completely blown away once again, he looked down at his daughter for a moment before placing her in Abel's arms. "Watch her head, okay?"

"I can do this, daddy", the boy said soothingly, looking up at his father proudly before looking back down at his sister curiously. "Hi Nola! I'm Abel."

The boy giggled softly as Nola clenched her tiny fist and brought it to her mouth. As she sucked on it, Abel played with the small fingers of her other hand, smiling widely as the little girl wrapped them around his.

"She's holding my hand", he exclaimed excitedly, completely proud of it. "She likes me!"

"Of course she likes you, buddy", Jax chuckled, rubbing his eyes with the back of his hand as his emotions overcame him again. "You're doing really well."

"Thanks, daddy", Abel smiled at the praise, leaning back comfortably with Nola in his arms. "I like her too!"

"You two are great together", Caitlin added, planting a kiss on Abel's head before stretching her arm over the back of the couch to place a hand against Jax' cheek, at least as touched by the scene as he was. "Now we really have everything we need."

"Thank you for giving me a chance to get to know our son back then", Jax thanked her, his voice low and full of sincerity. "I have no idea what I would be doing today without you, where I would be today."

"Let's not think about that", she whispered, tears forming in her blue eyes as Jax took her hand and brought it to his lips.

Placing a gentle kiss on the back of her fingers, he smiled, locking eyes with hers. "I love you, darlin', more than you can imagine."

Caitlin smiled happily, resting her head on her upper arm. "And I love you, baby, so much."

Bending over without crushing Abel between them, the two's lips met for a quick but loving kiss that sealed their words before their attention was back on their children, a sight they had been waiting for so long.
