❝ okay, you guys should never drink this much ever again. ❞

AS OLIVIA, JJ, and spencer sat together on the jet, jennifer had just gotten off the phone. she sighed and shook her head in exhaustion from looking for someone who could watch over henry last minute. her, liv, emily, and penelope had made plans to go on a girl's night, but jj forgot to hire a babysitter. emily sat down across from jj and next to spencer as she noticed her discontentment, "still no sitter?" she questioned.

"nope, my sitter isn't available. apparently, i have a better chance of winning the lottery than getting a sitter on a saturday night." jj voiced, olivia and emily letting out silent "oh's".

without looking up from his book, spencer asked, "what's going on tonight?"

"oh, it was ladies night, but. . ." emily shrugged. "i forgot to book a sitter." jj told.

"i'll do it." spencer looked up at jj, causing the three women to glance at him, sharing a few looks as emily slightly scoffed. "spence." jj stated. "what? i've seen an episode of 'mr. belvedere' and i've looked after ollie and rosie multiple times." he mentioned.

jj chuckled, "you've never babysat by yourself before." olivia chimed in, "you know, uh, he could do a couple of hours. he does a very good job at watching over the twins."

"yeah, what could possibly go wrong?" spencer rhetorically asked the blonde.

eventually, jj gave in to the offer and allowed spencer to watch henry while the ladies of the BAU went out. the four women spent the entire night together, doing many things, but mostly getting drunk. they were so heavily intoxicated, that they lost track of time. they fell asleep at penelope's apartment for a few hours after their energy being drained from the hours of giggling, spontaneous burst of song, declarations of their love for one another, and constant stumbling.

they had forgotten that they were expected to wake up early in the morning to attend hotch's FBI triathlon. which seemed like living hell when they remembered. of course, they wanted to support hotch, but the thought of being in a loud place so early in the morning with a hangover did not sound like a pleasant time.

that being said, the ladies had big, dark sunglasses placed on their faces to block the intense brightness the sun had to offer. as for the blaring volume of many individuals cheering and conversing, it felt like nonstop torture for their eardrums. penelope, olivia, jj, and emily were slumped over as the rest of the team had normal postures. as spencer's hand held olivia's, he was also one of the said individuals cheering loudly and clapping. olivia and jj took a glimpse of one another quirking their eyebrows as a silent way to ask each other how so many people can be enjoying something so much at a time like this. granted, not everyone in the crowds were hungover and had terrible headaches.

"a couple hours, a couple hours. you guys didn't come home until sunrise." spencer acknowledged the unenthusiastic behavior from the women opposed from everyone else's.

"why are you yelling." olivia deadpanned as her head rested on jj's arm. "make him stop." the blonde inexpressively told. emily muttered, "please."

"okay, hey, jack. earmuffs for a minute. earmuffs." derek told hotch's 7-year-old son who sat on his shoulders. he then looked at the impassive and weary women before him, "what did you guys drink last night?"

"the green fairy." penelope answered. "you're in the FBI, could you get the entire crowd to stop cheering?"

spencer looked at his watch, "by my estimates, hotch will be finishing any minute."

"do you see him uncle dave?" jack asked rossi, holding a sign he made for his father. "i think i do, kiddo." he responded. "right there, there he is!"

as hotch appeared within the team's vision, they were all rooting for him, with the exception of the ladies. instead, they managed to put smiles on their faces as they started clapping. hotch, in his black athletic attire and a smile on his face, ran to the finish point, being the first one there. morgan, jack, and rossi followed hotch as the rest trailed behind them. out of breath, hotch grabbed a water bottle from the refreshment stand as the team went up to him. "you did it!" jack exclaimed.

"i did, buddy, i did. can you believe it?" hotch replied to his son. "did you see my sign?" jack jumped. "i did." he placed his medal over jack's neck, "that's for you, buddy. your sign's fantastic."

"look at you, how do you feel?" rossi asked. "i think i'm gonna live." he commented.

"that's pretty impressive, i had money on the swim killing you." emily admitted. "i practiced." hotch responded, out of breath.

"and it paid off. good job." derek complimented, his arm wrapped around penelope.

"thank you."

with his hand still interlocked with olivia's, spencer suggested, "hey, you guys want something to eat?"

"yeah, something greasy." jj added, pushing her sunglasses up the bridge of her nose. "oh, yeah." emily, olivia, and penelope agreed.

"hotchner!" they heard a woman call out. hotch took jack's hand as they walked over to the woman. they thought it was just hotch's secret new lover that only rossi knew more of the details of. this left the rest of the team to themselves as they waited for him. "via, how many drinks did you guys consume?" spencer asked olivia, but also the women if they wanted to answer.

"okay, so, whatever two plus two is, but more. i'm not entirely sure, i'm not good at math." olivia replied, "emily?" she asked, thinking that maybe she knew the answer. "oh god, don't ask me. i hardly remember anything." she said, rubbing her fingers on her temple.

"wait am i crazy, or did we sit outside my building, eating those strange burgers?" penelope asked, genuinely trying to recall the memory. "i think we did. that could explain the weird wrappers and greasy hands this morning." jj remarked.

"okay, you guys should never drink this much ever again." derek voiced, hearing the peculiar things the hungover profilers woke up to.

as the team left the park to find some place to eat along with hotch, jack, and beth, spencer took a water bottle from the refreshment table and handed it to olivia. she softly thanked him as he kissed the back of her hand in return. she happily smiled at him before catching up with emily, penelope, and jj and shared the water with them. to the four of them, that plastic bottle of water seemed like a godsend from heaven.
