Chapter 4
I instantly felt the qualities of a cat. I was extremely soft, and my hearing seemed much better. My vision wasn't impressive, it was rather blurry.. As if everything was fogged up. In the dark place of the cave I was in, it seemed perfectly bright with hardly any difference from it being bright. I could easily peer out of the tunnel and watch the gang. 'I can't believe this worked!' I thought it was exciting. The possibilities I could do were endless.
"WHERE THE HELL DID THEY GO!" The first yelled, sounding extremely angry. He didn't seem like he was planning to give up this quickly. "Okay, gather up!" He yelled. They were extremely close to my hiding spot. Maybe only two meters or so. (One meter is 3.28084 Feet) Yet, I still waited in my position for a good time to run away. I hid behind a large rock, listening into the conversation.
The boys then walked over to the first member. There only seemed to be four people in total. The first, the 2nd, and two others. The third had large bangs, and looked extremely emo. Even having the black face paint. He wore what looked like a leather jacket, but was probably a cheaper material. Then had black pants which surprisingly had no holes. The last looked like your average Joe. He had blonde, and smooth hair. He didn't have any face paint, but did have a tattoo of two triangles. If I remembered correctly, It symbolized the element of air. He wore a blue jacket, with a white shirt on the inside. Then had blue jeans. Out of all of them, he looked rather normal. The group got in a circle facing each other. As if they were in a football team, and were trying to make sure no one heard their plot. Yet, doing this wasn't exactly sound proof.
"Okay, so let's split- we all go in a different direction and get this punk. If ya find 'em, bring him back here. If he fights, you can have the first punch. Deal?" The first asked in the circle, like I thought, it was easily hearable. "Deal," The other three said. They then split up going in different directions.
I sighed in relief, 'That was close,' I thought to myself. As I waited, I wagged my tail. I knew I wasn't a dog, but it just seemed natural to me. As if it was more instinct, then my own power. I then headed out of my hiding spot, and started running away from the others. It was easy to avoid them for many reasons. One, they were noisy. It seemed like they were trying to create the loudest sounds possible. They stomped on every twig, and their loud drums were booming away. I kept running towards the road. As I ran, I could feel the air flow against my body. It felt nice, and refreshing. Eventually I found the road I was on before they attacked me. I would head home, but I wanted to play around as a cat. Who wouldn't? I started walking towards the library, thinking I could scare Miss Carthy or something. As I took a turn towards the library, someone grabbed me and picked me up.
I panicked, trying to escape from whoever grabbed me. I tried to say "Stop," and "Put me down!" But all that came out was meows. I then stopped fighting, realizing it was no use. The person holding me then turned me around and gave me a hug. I couldn't stop myself- I was purring... The split second I saw her face, I realized who had picked me up- it was the daughter of the Pecunia's, Jenny. The richest person in the city was hugging me?! I was beyond surprised, I knew I was a kitten- but I didn't think she'd find me.. I would try and fight- run- but she smelled so nice. I purred louder, she then began to stroke my back. It felt wonderful, I just couldn't fight back.. She felt so warm, and cozy- 'Dam, cats are so lucky they feel this,' I thought to myself. I started to rub my face against her chest. I felt heavenly, it was wonderful. Jenny had straight black hair, and brown eyes. She was about the same height as me in my human form, maybe 4'9 at the most. She wore a simple black dress that seemed to be made more for appearance than comfort.
Jenny then started to walk away from the library, still holding me. I looked around, confused where she could be taking me. I looked up and saw her huge home in the distance. Even though I was far away, it was easy to see. It was a mansion after all. 'Is she taking me to her home?!' I thought surprised, it was happening so fast I couldn't understand what was happening.
She didn't turn away from her home as she kept walking towards it. 'I'm actually going here home?!' I was surprised. Most people haven't been inside of the Pecunia's home. They were very secretive, and didn't like visitors in the slightest. I kept loving up to her, and in return, she kept petting me. At that point, It's all I wanted. Before I realized it, I was already inside the house.
The home was exactly what you'd expect from a mansion. It looked all fancy, with random items behind glass boxes. Staircases that lead to the higher floors, doors everywhere, and red carpet covering the floor. It even had a huge chandelier that was created to look like a large crystal from all directions. It even reflected light, making the entire room bright, and shiny. It really did work well, and there seemed to be hardly any shadow. To add to the amazement, they even had indoor waterfalls that seemed to flow endlessly. With no change in pace, the water looked bright, and neon blue. If I had to guess, it was dyed to appear like this.
"What are you doing here with a cat?!" Mr. Pecunia asked, surprised running into the room with a surprised look. Mr. Pecunia was a younger man, probably 35 at most. He had black hair that was flat on his head, and looked like it was jelled to be down. At the front of his head, his hair had a few curls that looked like they shouldn't be there. He had brown eyes, and was rather small. Maybe 5'6 at the most.
"You said if I wanted something, it was mine, didn't you?" Jenny asked looking up at her father. She looked at him with puppy eyes.
"Well- I did, but you know how cats are messy," He protested.
"We have maids if he makes a mess, plus! Tomorrow is my birthday, can't he be an early present?" Jenny begged.
"Okay, you can have him- but tomorrow we're getting him neutered, I don't wanna deal with more kittens," Mr. Pecunia said, giving in.
"Thank you daddy!" Jenny said running over and hugging him. Squeezing me in between them in the process.
'Wait, they're going to nutter me?!' I panicked, I would try and escape, but doing this would show that I understood what they were saying. Making me look even more suspicious than I already did. Even if I did run, then they'd easily catch up to me. Yet, that doesn't mean I'm going to let them pull off that task.
"Of course, and tomorrow we can also go shopping for toys and things for him," Mr. Pecunia replied, smiling as he said this. Releasing from the hug, finally letting me breathe.
"You're the best," Jenny said, beginning to walk again. She headed up the large staircase heading to the second floor. She then started to walk down a hallway, this hallway was painted a soft pink color. The doors were all made of a dark brown wood, and had- what looked like gold door knobs and hinges. Besides each door, was labeled with a gold rectangle, each having different messages. One read, "𝓖𝓪𝓻𝓭𝓮𝓷," another read: "𝓢𝓽𝓾𝓭𝔂." There were seven rooms on this one hallway. Each door was separated by a large distance, really proving how large the home was. Jenny kept walking, eventually stopping at the last door of the hallway. The gold rectangle read, "𝓑𝓮𝓭 𝓡𝓸𝓸𝓶." She opened the door and walked in the huge room.
The room was about the size of a small home. It was painted a baby pink, but at parts of the wall, mainly only consisting of the corners: it had what looked like abstract vines. These vines were created in large detail, even having small red, or pink flowers in certain places. At the opposite side of the door, there was a balcony, which had a neat hammock swinging gently in the wind. The hammock was made of a lighter wood, and had a shiny metal chain. The actual fence of the balcony was more a fancy quartz that was made to be shaped in the position of a normal fence. Near the right of the room was a king sized bed. It was an aggressive pink, with stuffed animals of all shapes and colors. There were so many that even with the bed's huge size, it still looked hidden in certain places. To the left side of the room was a large closet bar that reached both sides of the room, where tons of shirts and dresses hung from on hangers. Then to the side were what looked like slabs in the wall, where pants were neatly stacked in piles of three. To the opposite side of the bed was a flat screen television which was probably the most impressive of all the objects in the room. Most people haven't even seen one in person, mainly because they came out very recently and were ridiculously expensive. One ad said they were selling them for 13,788.09£ for just one. The more I looked at the room, the more surprised I became. She even had a GrandFather's clock.
Suddenly, a black smoke began to appear, it was coming from me?!
"What the!?" Jenny said, shocked dropping me.
Then I realized what was happening, I was changing back into a human...
