■3rd Person POV■

Y/N and Mrs. Mayu are standing in front of the orphanage door, looking at Kiyoomi who's about to go with Mr. Kaien the male worker, and Souta to buy other supplies.

Y/N: goodbye... Kiyoomi nii...

Kiyoomi: don't look so sad... I'll be back in the afternoon anyway...

Y/N smiles at Kiyoomi, Mrs. Mayu rubs the back of her head gently. Mayu knows that Y/N is putting a strong face.

The two watch as the three males leave and Y/N's tears finally come.

Mrs. Mayu: Y/N... we.. don't need to do-

Y/N: no.... I... I want Kiyoomi nii to be with his real family... he always gave up all of those families for me... and now... his real father wants to pick him up... I... can't make him stay...

Mrs. Mayu sighs as she tries to calm the crying girl. She then helps to puts Y/N's stuff inside a bag and calls someone to drop her at Mrs. Inami's house.

Mrs. Inami feels bad for both of the kids but she feels Y/N's genuine feeling to make Kiyoomi back with his real family.

Y/N: Mrs. Mayu... Mrs. Inami... I'm sorry...

Y/N apologize while Mrs. Inami and Mayu are on the phone talking to each other.

Mrs. Inami: no no no dear... don,t cry... you... just want your brother to be happy...

Mrs. Mayu: I'm the one who feels bad for you honey...

Mrs. Mayu tells Mrs. Inami to look after Y/N for a while until Kiyoomi goes to the Sakusa. Mayu hangs the phone and prepares herself to talk with Kiyoomi.

Mrs. Mayu: forgive me Kiyoomi....

■Kiyoomi's POV■

I help to bring these bags to the porch with Souta when one of the kids approaches me. She's the girl who sleeps with Y/N.

Kamiki: Kiyoomi nii... does Y/N being adopted?

I was surprised and so does Souta.

Kiyoomi: what are you talking about?

Kamiki: um, I saw Mrs. Mayu helped her to pack her stuff... and then a car came to pick her up...

It feels like my heart stops beating for a sec. I drop the bags on my hands and run to Y/N's room.

Souta: Kiyoomi!

I don't listen to Souta and keep running. I open her room and see that her drawers are empty. The photo of us on her bedside is no longer there too.

Kiyoomi: wha-

I turn around and run to Mrs. Mayu's room, slamming the door open without me intending. Mrs. Mayu looks back at me, a little surprised. And then her face looks sad for a moment. That's the moment I feel weak.

Mrs. Mayu: Kiyoomi...

Kiyoomi: Where is she?

Mrs. Mayu comes closer and crouches down in front of me.

Mrs. Mayu: I'm sorry Kiyoomi... yesterday a family came and... Y/N agreed but she asks for another da-

Kiyoomi: no... she-

"Y/N: I'm grateful to have you.... I love Kiyoomi nii"

"Goodbye"

Was that... an actual goodbye

Mrs. Mayu: Kiyoomi... Y/N left this for you...

Mrs. Mayu hands me a letter and I read it.

Kiyoomi nii
I'm sorry for leaving.
Though you always rejected the families that wanted to adopt you, this time I didn't refuse.

This family looks nice and, I think I want to have a family outside the orphanage. I'm sorry for being selfish but I really love you. I'm glad we could be a family for a while, but now I want to have another family.

I hope you could be happy and find a family of your own too.

I clench the paper in my hands.

Mrs. Mayu: Kiyoomi..

Kiyoomi: rubish...

I turn around and run out of the orphanage. Don't care about Mr. Kaien and Mrs. Mayu who're shout calling my name.

She won't do that...

I hope she's there, the only place left that still makes my hopes up.

I open the door and Mrs. Inami greets me.

Mrs. Inami: oh my... why are you sweating Kiyoomi... and it's rare for you not to wear your mask...

I just realize that my mask was not on, probably it fell on my way here.

Kiyoomi: Mrs. Inami... is... Y/N... does she came here?

Mrs. Inami: I was about to ask you why she's not with you today... what's wrong Kiyoomi...

She really is not here...

Y/N really left...

Mr. Kaien comes in and stands next to me, placing a hand on my shoulder.

Mrs. Inami: Kiyoomi?

Kiyoomi: Y/N... she's... adopted...

Mrs. Inami: oh... I'm so sorry to hear that Kiyooomi... I'm sure though she left, she loves you dearly.... Kiyoomi is Y/N's favorite person after all...

I can't seem to care about whatever everyone said by now. Y/N's face from last night as she snuggles close to me came to mind. I bow my head to Mrs. Inami.

Kiyoomi: sorry for intruding...

Mrs. Inami: Kiyoomi...

Mr. Kaien: Kiyoomi kun...

Kiyoomi: let's go back Mr. Kaien...

I turn around and walk out of the store. Y/N is not here, she really left. Mr. Kaien walks next to me and hands me a mask.

Mr. Kaien: you dropped your mask earlier... here I got you a new one...

Kiyoomi: she... left...

Mr. Kaien: I'm sorry Kiyoomi... but trust me... just like what Mrs. Inami said... Y/N loves you dearly...

How she feels doesn't matter if she's not here. I thought we will always be a family. Thought I will always have her right next to me. But, no, she's not by my side anymore.

■Y/N's POV■

I watch as Kiyoomi nii walks with Mr. Kaien from Mr.s Inami's 2nd floor, heading back to the orphanage. I hear as the door behind me opened and footsteps are heard walking closer to me. A hand rests on my back, rubbing circles.

Mrs. Inami: Y/N...

Y/N: I... lied to him...

I slump down on the floor, burying my face on my knees as I hug them close. Mrs. Inami brings my body close to her and pats my back.

Mrs. Inami: you're a nice kid...

Y/N: I... want to be with Kiyoomi nii.... but I want Kiyoomi nii to be with his real family... and, I lied to him... (sobs)

Mrs. inami: there there.... what if I... adopt you?

I look up at Mrs. Inami, she's smiling at me while caressing my cheek and wipes a tear away.

Mrs. Inami: I know I'm probably too old to be seen as your mother... but... I like your and Kiyoomi's presence whenever you come to visit... I would be happy t have you here with me... that way, you're not completely lying to him... right?

Y/N: can... I?

Mrs. Inami: if you want to...

I was sad, I feel alone knowing that I won't be with Kiyoomi nii again, but seeing how Mrs. Inami looking at me with such gentle eyes, I can't help but snuggle close to her.

Y/N: I... want to.... (sobs)

Kiyoomi nii will be with his real family, and I too need to stop making him worried and be with my family too. Maybe we really aren't meant to be a family.

■3rd Person POV

A week has passed since Y/N left the orphanage. Everyone could see how Kiyoomi became even quieter than before. It hurts Mrs. Mayu and Mr. Kaien to see him like this, and Souta too. The day Y/N start living with Mrs. Inami, Mrs. Mayu decided to call Mahiro and tells him not to pick Kiyoomi right away, Mrs. Mayu told him to give him some time.

Now seeing Kiyoomi looks as if he had lost hope, Mrs, Mayu decides to give Mahiro a call again and say he could pick him up.

The moment Mahiro and Ken come to the orphanage, they head to where Kiyoomi is, his room. Kiyoomi look at the two men walks into his room.

Ken: Good morning Kiyoomi sama...

Kiyoomi was taken aback by how formal they call his name.

Kiyoomi: who are you?

Mahiro and Ken walk closer to Kiyoomi and stops a few meters away, knowing from Mrs. Mayu that Kiyoomi likes to have some space.

Mahiro: I'm from the Sakusa household, I work for your father.... Sakusa Kiyotaka... you are the son of the Sakusa family, Kiyoomi sama.

They tell Kiyoomi about his mother's relationship with his father. Kiyoomi listens to it all and he remembers the day his mother fell off the stairs. She said something and Kiyoomi clenches his hand at the thought of her words.

Mahiro: we... would like to take you back to the mansion...

Ken: Master Kiyootaka would like you to live with him in the Sakusa hou-

Kiyoomi: alright...

Ken and Mahiro were startled at how fast he agrees, so do Mrs. Mayu and Mr. Kaien who listen from the hallway.

Kiyoomi doesn't have anything that will hold him longer in his place. The only reason he stayed in the first place was so he could be with Y/N right after he reaches an independent age. But now, that's all seem impossible because Y/N is no longer here.

Kiyoomi decided to go to what they call as his real family...

Trying to forget the pain of being apart with Y/N...
