-Born in Münster, Germany, Clarence had quite an interesting childhood. First of all, he didn't come to this world alone. Clarence was born an identical twin, three minutes younger from his elder brother, Dexter. There had been several complications in his mother's pregnancy, one of which resulted in Dexter being born comparatively weaker than him. Growing up, his twin brother needed more attention from their mother for obvious reasons and he was left in the care of his grandparents and aunts present in the family at the time. However they slowly left the family for their own personal reasons and by the time Clarence turned ten, he had only his younger sister, Melanie , there for him to be his support in the family. Dexter was often sick and his mother resented Clarence for it. The treatment was expensive with his father being a factory worker and mother working for a grocery store but his parents were doing everything they could in their power to keep the treatment flowing. He never had his mother around for him and his father became agitated about his presence as time passed. He too started blaming him for Dexter's condition. He'd be pissed with him to the point that he'd often lash out on him and beat him to feed his anger. He'd not stop until his younger sister would intervene and she often didn't given she was absolutely scared of their strict father. All she could do was stand in a corner and watch Clarence being beaten with a belt or a bat while Dexter was in the hospital.

They had another little brother, Dennis, who was four years younger than Clarence and oblivious to what went on in their family as he was taken by one of their aunts to raise because she didn't have a kid of her own and his parents couldn't provide for him well or give yin the attention he needed given they were always busy with taking care of Dexter. Their family wasn't in the best shape for the ten years of his life. Things took a turn for the better when his twin brother's condition started to get better and he came back home from the hospital. Clarence was eleven years old and absolutely in love with his elder brother. Even though his parents protested against Clarence coming anywhere near his elder brother, he insisted on spending time and playing with Clarence which left his parents with no choice but to allow him to stay with Dexter. Clarence grew close to Dexter as the year passed and he got better. By the age of fourteen, Dexter was perfect as any other kid in their grade and his family slowly started to get back on a happy track of life. They brought Dennis home and their family was complete. It was around the time that their father realised that his income as a factory worker wasn't enough to raise his family and he needed more money. Poverty and desperation deluded his mind and he started gambling to earn easy money. Everything that he earned every month would be spent in gambling which left them even poorer than they were when their money was spent on Dexter's medicines.

Their parents were often fighting in the house and the kids were left on the side to watch. Melanie was the one left to take care of her brothers as she had matured far better and faster than them. She made sure that they were eating and studying well and often sacrificing her own sleep and hunger for them. Their mother strangely fell sick by the time Clarence was fourteen and they had no money for her medication. Their father didn't do anything to help her and spent all his income on gambling and lottery hoping to win a huge amount one day so they'd have been rich. One of their aunts took Dennis to keep again, leaving the three kids in that house with their problematic parents. Melanie was left to take care of her twin elder brothers and she felt the responsibility on her shoulders so strongly that she stopped going to school for a year when she was fourteen. They were sixteen and in junior high school. Despite their constant pleas, she didn't go back to school insisting upon staying home to take care of their mother. One evening when Dexter and Clarence were still in the school, a group of men visited their house. They were looking for their father who was apparently on the run after borrowing money from those men. They found their mother and Melanie home and decided to take them to sell and settle their debts. There had been a fight as they tried to escape those men and the house was in a mess.

Fortunately or unfortunately, Dexter and Clarence reached home just in time those men would have left with their mother and Melanie. The two sixteen years olds fought the group of men, six men in total and things took a turn for the worse. Their mother was sick and severely injured by one of those men. One moment she was trying to escape the man's grip and the other, she was lying in the pool of her own blood with a knife in her stomach. It set Clarence off. He lost himself and all of the anger that he had locked up in himself bursted like a volcano. Clarence found a gun on those men in all the struggle and he shot four of those men dead. One of the men was kílled by Dexter. Just when they thought it was over, another man had been hiding in the house and he came out to shoot Clarence but Dexter placed himself between the bullet and his brother. The bullet went through his heart and he died on the spot. Soon after that their mother died too, leaving Clarence and Melanie in a house painted with blood and lined with corpses. The man who had shot Dexter escaped and soon the cops were crawling the place. Clarence was iarrested for the murder of those men even when it was done in self defense. It was all thanks to his father's false statement. He was approached by the guy who escaped, promising to settle their debt if he lied to the cops. His father told the cops that those men weren't there to fight and Clarence had initiated it which resulted in the bloodbath, even going so far to tell the cops that Clarence múrdered Dexter and their mother. Melanie gave a statement in Clarence's favor and the jury remained conflicted on the matter of truth given she was only fourteen and her statements weren't deemed as credible.

Clarence was sentenced to eight years in prison but he was released a couple of years early because of his good behaviour and academic record while he was still in the prison. He used his time in the prison to finish high school and earned a bachelor's degree in journalism. He was greatly interested in metal work and joined a five years special programme to learn all about it. He became skilled at it and used all his time in the prison constructively. He wanted to make the most of his life knowing Dexter would have wanted to live and not give up. Clarence was released from the prison when he turned twenty-three and he went back to his home to find a mansion standing in the same place where their old and dusty house used to be. It turned out, their father really won that lottery one day and became rich. He used all his money wisely and started his own business in export. His father didn't take him in when he was back and it left Clarence on his own. He left the country with the help of Melanie and the little money he had saved and moved to Pennsylvania, USA.

Scenario one :
You have been living with your mother for as long as you could remember. Your friends left the city after high school and went on to their dream colleges whereas you chose to stay in Pennsylvania for the simple reason that your mother needed you there. She was a single parent and she had raised you with everything she had, leaving her with almost no money by the time you finished your bachelor's degree. It was time for you to help your mother and you weren't going to back away from your responsibility. You had a big enough house, passed down to your mother by her parents before they died but the house on the countryside was old and needed a lot of repair every now and then. The bills to keep it standing were too much to cover with your new job and your mother's work. One day you came home and your mother was in an awfully cheery mood. When you asked for the reason behind her happiness, she told you that she had given an advertisement for a paying guest in a newspaper and someone had called her back. Someone was willing to live in your house outside the city and pay for it. The amount stated on the advertisement was double of what someone would have usually paid for it and you were skeptical of what was going on. Your mother thought it'd have been a good idea to have a paying guest, given your house was too big for just the two of you and the guest was going to pay for lodging and food. You had plenty food on your table and your mother didn't mind sharing it with one person. So there you were one afternoon, in your living room and waiting for your paying guest. Your mother has already tidied up a room for them and she was baking an apple pie on a special request. You were probably not happy about it but the amount of money you two would have been getting out of it was a lot to ignore a little inconvenience. On top of everything, you wanted to make sure that a wrong person wasn't staying with you and your mother so you had taken a half day off from your work to welcome the stranger. It was exactly two pm when someone knocked on your front door and you hastily made it to it to answer. A tall man with dark hair and dark brown eyes stood in your view, dressed in an all black outfit and a baseball cap on top of their head. He looked at you confused…as if he was expecting someone else to answer the door as he has already spoken to your mother. "Uh…hi. I'm Clarence Jäger…the paying guest…" He trailed off introducing himself, asking for your mother by her name next as he dropped the heavy bag on his shoulder to the floor and you could hear the loud clutter of the metal hitting your the floor. "Is this the wrong house?" His German accent was too obvious, proving that he wasn't from around there. He stepped back to take a look at the address that he had scribbled on a piece of his paper before glancing up at you. "Is it?" He asked you, turning the paper around for you to see your address written on the paper in his neat handwriting.

Extras: -your oc's age can be between 23-26
-you can decide on your oc's and their mother's profession as well as the rest of the backstory so long as it fits.
-picking a profession for your oc, that requires staying home, ie. writer, painter, cartoonist and whatnot might be better for the above scenario.

Scenario two : the scenario we discuss.
