"How hard can it be?" Greta shrugs.

About an hour later...

Two loud screeches are heard throughout the cave, making the three girls turn to look at all the kittens they have with them to discover two missing. Two small blurs, one white and one orange, race into the living room to dart under the couch. Hot on their heels is Wolf, diving his nose under the couch.

"Back away you demon!" Spook yowls, scratching at Wolf's muzzle.

The white wolf recoils with a yelp then dives back under.

"Shoo! Shoo!" Wally hisses.

"Wolf!" Zatanna shouts. "Back off!"

Artemis and Zatanna grab Wolf and try to pull him back, to no avail. Wolf continues under the couch, flipping it over and making the two kittens yelp and scatter. Artemis and Zatanna get pulled along as Wolf chases after them. Wolf manages to snag Wally by his tail, who lets out a yowl and tries to turn to scratch at the large canine. Spook scrambles onto the counter.

"Wolf!" Conner growls from atop the counter with the other kittens beside him. Wolf freezes, turning to his small master. "Put him down." Wolf lowers his mouth to the ground but still doesn't let go of Wally's tail. "Release him."

Wolf releases Wally from his clutches, Wally scatters onto the counter with the other kittens.

"My life just flashed before my eyes!" Wally mewls.

"Are you alright, Wally, Spook?" Artemis asks, concerned.

"Yeah," Spook sighs.

"Just have to rid my tail of slobber," Wally huffs, glaring at Wolf. "He better not do that again."

"He won't," Conner says, climbing onto Wolf's back.

The three girls sigh in relief.

"A kitten with a pet wolf," Greta sighs. "Never thought I'd say that in my life or... afterlife."

"Anyone else hungry, or is it just me?" Spook asks the surrounding kittens.

"Starving," Wally replies. "Haven't eaten since dinner yesterday. You gonna feed us, momma?"

"That's disgusting even for you," Phantom comments.

"What?" Wally huffs then his eyes widen. "Oh gross! I didn't mean it like that!"

"Guess we have to go tell Artemis," Spook says, ignoring Wally and swallowing her anger. "Let's go play some charades."

"Where did the girls get to anyway?" Conner asks.

The pack of kittens get off the couch and head to the kitchen to find Artemis on the phone. The other two girls stand/float next to her.

"Are you almost here?" Artemis sighs into the phone. "You should've been here a while ago. Didn't Arrow call you?"

"Artemis!" Wally yowls, gathering the attention of all the girls.

"Hold on a second, Baywatch," Artemis says, giving him a wait a minute finger. She notices the other kittens waddling up behind Wally. "Uh, I should hang up. All of them just came into the room. Just hurry up and get your butt here!" She ends the call. "What is it?"

"Any ideas on how to tell her we're hungry?" Robin asks.

"I got this," Spook says. "I watch a lot of Youtube in my free time." She sits and uses a paw to point to her mouth.

"Mouth?" Artemis says confused.

"I think they're trying to tell us that they're hungry," Zatanna says with a chuckle.

"Yes! Yes!" Spook cheers, jumping up and down with a grin.

"That's what I was just on the phone for," Artemis admits. "Food should be here soon. You need to be patient."

"UGhhHhHh!" Wally groans.

"Did you really just ask Wally to be patient... for food?" Zatanna cackles. "That day will never happen."

"There has to be something I can snack on!" Wally shouts, zipping off to the cabinet.

"Wait, you still have your powers?!" Zatanna shouts, seeing Wally disappear.

"No," Spook says.

"What do you mean no?" Artemis asks. "We clearly just saw Wally use his super speed."

"We only have some of our powers," Megan says.

"I have no idea what you're saying," Greta says.

"M'gann, link us up?" Artemis asks.

"Can't," Megan mews.

"No?" Zatanna says. "Can you not do it?"

Megan shakes her head no.

"Maybe they only have some of their powers?" Greta suggests.

"Yes! Yes!" Megan says.

"So, Wally has his speed... What about the rest of you?" Zatanna asks.

"Watch, and I shall show you," Spook mews, gaining the attention of the girls. Spook concentrates and manages to make herself invisible then reappears shortly after. She shows her intangibility by shifting through Artemis' foot. "Flight is more complicated..." She manages to get herself into the air, tail and back legs disappearing in a wisp.

"Flight, invisibility, and intangibility," Greta says. "I'm assuming both of you can only do that?"

"Oui, oui..." Phantom groans as his stomach grumbles.

"Conner?" Zatanna asks.

Conner moves over to the living room and pushes one of the couches using his head. It moves slowly but enough so that the girls understand.

"Your strength isn't all there," Greta says.

Kaldur gathers their attention next and shows that he can use his electricity. "Only my electricity."

"My turn!" Megan squeals, changing into camouflage.

"This is interesting," Zatanna says. "Why didn't you tell us?"

"Didn't know we'd get it back after using it," Conner says.

"Still no clue what you're saying," Greta sighs.

"Score!" Wally shouts. "I found some goldfish!" He grabs the bag with his teeth and backs out from the cabinet to throw it onto the counter. He leaps on the counter after and rummages through the bag, eating any cracker that comes near.

The whirling of the zeta-tube echoes throughout the cave and the computer announces who arrives. "Recognized: Red Arrow, B06."

"Roy?" Kaldur questions.

"Roy!" Spook cheers, flying into the mission room. Phantom follows behind her along with Robin, leaving the others behind. Spook floats straight up to Roy, noticing all the grocery bags he's carrying. "Food!"

Roy looks at the three kittens, blinking a few times before he speaks. "Wow, you guys actually look... cute... I was told you were turned into kittens, but jeez... Guessing the floating kittens are the twins."

The twins nod as they land on his shoulders.

"Please don't mistake me for Conner," Robin groans.

"Small and came to greet me, Robin?" Roy asks.

Robin looks up in glee after nodding his head. Roy steps over Robin and heads to the kitchen. He sets the bags on the counter.

"There you are!" Artemis huffs. "What took so long?"

"I don't see why you or Zatanna couldn't go and get these yourself," Roy huffs back.

"We had to watch the cats," Greta says.

"And who are you?" Roy asks, eyeing the ghost girl.

"I'm Greta aka Secret. I'm Spook and Phantom's protégé," Greta says. "I'm a ghost too."

"Great," Roy says sarcastically. "Two ghosts weren't enough."

"Could we get some food now?" Wally yowls.

"Loud, annoying, and orange fur... Wally?" Roy smirks.

"He's the easiest to point out," Artemis says.

"Conner, Kaldur, Robin, Megan, and I still can't tell the difference between the twins," Zatanna says, pointing to each member.

"That's easy all you have to do is lift their tails and look at their–"

"Don't even say it!" Phantom yowls, smacking Roy in the face with a paw. If he were human, his face would put Wally's hair to shame. "We don't need to point out how to tell us apart!"

Roy chuckles, pointing to Phantom. "This is Phantom and that's Spook."

"How do you know?" Greta asks.

"I just do," Roy says, placing the twins on the ground. "Let's just say that they aren't fixed." He takes a few things out of the grocery bags. "Do not jump on the counter. I don't want your dirty feet anywhere near my food."

Wally and a few others roll their eyes at him.

"I want food now!" Wally growls.

"We'll get lunch ready for you guys," Artemis says. "Greta, you want to keep them entertained?"

"Like how?" Greta asks.

Roy rummages through the bags and pulls something out, tossing it to the true ghost girl. "Use this."

She catches it and looks at it, molding a grin on her face after seeing it. "They're so going to kill you."

He snorts. "They can try."

The kittens look between the two, confused as to what Greta obtained and why they'd wanna hurt Roy. They ignore the weird feeling and follow Greta into the living room anyway. They all decide to sit down as they look up at Greta, waiting for her to show them what she has. The ghost looks nervous, wondering if she should use it or not. She chuckles as she decides, pressing the small button on the side and making a red dot appear on the floor beside Wally. Wally doesn't notice the red dot, still trying to figure out what Greta has in her hand, until Robin suddenly leaps in front of him. This gathers all the other cat's attentions, noticing Robin chase after the red laser.

"She has a laser pointer..." Phantom discovers. "Oh no..."

Wally's eyes grow wide as he crutches down, taking a planned leap at the red light and chasing after it with Robin.

"You will not escape me, you devil!" Wally proclaims, jumping onto it. "Gotcha!" He lifts his paws to find his reward, only to find nothing there. "What?!"

"It's over here!" Spook calls out, continuing to sit down but watching the light dart around. She waits for the perfect moment to strike, but is interrupted by Robin bouncing in front of her with his tail smacking her in the face. "Hey!" She jumps to tackle Robin and they roll along the floor, momentum finally stopping them. The light walks along in front of them and back to chasing it they go.

The light disappears and reappears, without the notice of Wally, Robin, or Spook, in front of Kaldur. They continue to search along the floor where they are. Kaldur stares at it a moment, not wanting to give in to this ridiculousness, but can't fight the urge to pop at the ground next to him just remaining in his place.

The light drifts off to over in front of Conner. Conner rolls his eyes, but his eyes remain glued to the dot. He smacks his paw down once it's close enough to him, smacking it every once in a while when it comes near.

Megan didn't really take notice of the light, enjoying watching everyone chase or pounce at the mysterious light more. She's careful to move out of their way or anything that they may knock over.

Many minutes pass before they realize.

"Lunch time!" Zatanna calls out.

"Finally!" Wally cheers and races off to the kitchen, dodging the debris on the floor. He ends up losing his footing on the slick tile floor and slides into the island with a loud smack.

Roy tries to hold back his laughter as the girls full on giggle. The others walk in behind, seeing what happened from a little ways back. Robin and the twins let out loud cackles.

"Nice, West," Roy chuckles.

"Shut up! You try running on four legs!" Wally shouts.

"Alright, alright," Artemis says, calming them down. "Here's lunch."

Zatanna, Roy, and Artemis grab the cat bowls and lower them to the floor. Green for Megan. Red for Conner. Black for Robin. Yellow for Wally. Blue for Kaldur. Purple for Spook. White for Phantom. In each bowl held a smushy brown mixture of mush.

"Oh hell no!" Spook hisses, smacking the bowl and splattering it all along the floor. "This better be a joke! I may be a cat but there is no way in hell I'm eating cat food!" Her ears become pinned backward as she flicks her tail.

"Spook!" Artemis complains.

Roy begins to laugh.

"Let's see how you like it!" Phantom and Wally shout, lifting their bowls and throwing them at Roy's face.

The bowls slowly slide off of Roy's face to reveal a very agitated Arrow Exterminator. "You little... Come here!"

Phantom and Wally yip and scatter off with Roy hot on their heels, cat food dripping every step he takes.

"Don't piss off the twins," Robin says. "Noted... again."

"Look at this mess!" Roy shouts, noticing the wrecked living room. "GRETA!"

Greta yips before disappearing.

"I hope you don't expect us to eat this," Conner meows up to Artemis, flicking his tail in annoyance.

"Sorry, guys," Zatanna says, picking up the food bowls and rinsing them out. "They wanted to prank you." She replaces the wet cat food with a few ripped up slices of ham and chicken. "Here's what we really got you."

Artemis lowers a second bowl full of milk for them all to drink out of.

"Sweet!" Wally cheers, coming back into the room and digging in immediately.

One by one each member begins to eat. Spook gives it a few uncertain sniffs before joining in with the others. Phantom returns to the kitchen, unnoticed by Roy because he's remained invisible, and eats. He remains invisible while he eats, making the food look like it's disappearing by itself.

"Where'd you two go?!" Roy shouts, continuing his search for Phantom and Wally.

"I need to pee!" Spook meows, jumping up from her position on the couch.

"Same here," Wally says.

"Artemis!" Spook yowls. "Artemis! Artemis!"

"ARTEMIS!" Wally yowls.

This gains the attention of the four nonkittens in the hangar. Zatanna and Artemis leave Roy and Greta to come into the room from the hangar to see what's going on.

"What's wrong?" Zatanna asks, looking around. "I still can't believe this mess..."

"And I'm still not cleaning it," Artemis huffs.

Wally and Spook look at one another, trying to come up with how to tell them they need to pee.

"I got it!" Wally proclaims, jumping off the couch. He heads to the corner of the couch and lifts his leg up like a dog to a tree.

"Pee?" Zatanna immediately thinks.

"Yes yes," Spook mews.

Artemis grins slightly. "Yeah, we have a litter box all set up for you guys."

"No way," Robin responds.

"Gross," Conner scoffs.

"Um..." Megan begins.

"I am not sharing a litter box with these guys," Spook huffs. "If I have to go in a litter box, I better get my own and it better be private like one of those igloo litter boxes."

"I share a lot of things with my sorella, but a litter box will not be one."

"I would like to keep my bathroom duties private," Kaldur says.

"I'm just gonna go to the bathroom and go in the toilet," Wally huffs.

"Dude, you'll fall in," Robin chuckles.

"No, I won't!" Wally fusses.

Artemis begins to laugh. "Don't freak out, I was messing with you. I mean, you do have a litter box, but there's more than one. We made sure to get you each one."

"Batman made sure we got private ones for each of you," Zatanna says. "Roy's setting them up right now."

"Thank God for Batman!" Wally cheers.

The two girls turn to head to the hangar, all the kittens follow behind them, trying to keep up with them.

"I know how to assemble a damn litter box! Stop telling me how to do it!" Roy shouts. "I've already assembled half of them!"

"Really? It doesn't look like you know how. I'm just trying to help," Greta huffs.

"You're not helping!" Roy yells. "I know how to do it now."

"Everything okay in here?" Artemis asks.

"I'm about to send this ghost to the afterlife!" Roy growls.

"I'm just trying to help!"

"Well, you're not!"

Artemis rolls her eyes. "Well, you better hurry up. Baywatch needs to use the bathroom."

"Me too!" Spook meows.

"And Spook," Zatanna adds.

"Both of their's are assembled," Roy grunts. "Their names are on them."

"I am so not peeing with you all in the room even if you can't see me!" Spook says. "I'll hold it!"

"Well, I can't wait!" Wally trots over to his box and disappears inside.

Phantom heads over to his.

"You have to go too?" Spook asks.

"I do, I just don't announce it to the world like you do," Phantom says. "I also don't have high standards like you do. When I need to go, I'll go."

"Totally a guy thing..." Spook scoffs.

Phantom rolls his eyes and disappears inside the dome with his name.

Spook sighs in frustration, wobbling back and forth, doing the kitty pee pee dance. She gives a loud groan before she scurries off to her litter box. "Ugh, this is so weird and embarrassing..."

"I'm bored!" Wally yowls.

"Good for you," Phantom groans.

"Only boring people get bored," Robin comments.

"If you haven't noticed... I'M A CAT!" Wally shouts.

"Then be bored no more!" Spook proclaims, coming into the living room and presenting a ball of yarn with a trail behind her. "I found this."

"And what are we supposed to do with that?" Wally asks.

"Uh, chase it, obviously," Spook scoffs.

"Typical," Robin responds.

"Whatever, I'm bored so I'm going to do something," Spook scoffs. "I only brought it here for us to all play with but looks like I'm going to be the only one playing with the yarn. I was trying to be nice."

She rolls the ball with her head to more in the middle of the room to smack it around. She circles the ball before smacking it and watching it roll along the floor. The ghost cat chases after it, smacking it a different way. All the while the yarn slowly begins to get smaller as the yarn begins to unveil. The ball rolls its way to the couch right below Robin. Robin eyes it for a minute before jumping down and giving it a swat of his own. His pupils widen as he and Spook begin to chase after the ball. Soon all the kittens join in with the yarn chasing, getting it wrapped around about everything in the room till the yarn completely ends.

"Artemis is so going to kill us..." Wally states, looking around at the even more wrecked room.

"We should be more concerned that we actually chased a ball like actual cats," Kaldur sighs. "I believe we are turning more into cats as time goes on."

"Where are Zatanna, Artemis, Greta, and Roy anyway?" Megan asks.

"Yeah, they've been gone for a while now," Robin says.

"Well, I'm bored again," Spook huffs, standing up from her sitting position and heading toward one of the hallways.

"Where are you going?" Phantom asks.

"Exploring," Spook responds, turning her head to look back at them. "There's all sorts of places I can go as a cat."

Conner gets up from in front of her. "I'll join you."

"Oh, joy," Spook sarcastically remarks, turning to continue down the hall and making sure to smack Conner in the face with her tail as she does.

The others decide not to follow, obviously sensing over the last few days they've been avoiding each other over something unknown to them. It's about time for them to make up.

It's silent as the two continue down the hall, Conner treading a little behind Spook. Spook leads them to the library, weaving into the bookshelves to try and get away from Conner, but forgets he's smaller than she is now.

"We need to talk," Conner says.

"Oh, so now you wanna talk?" Spook scoffs.

Conner sighs. "I'm trying. If you will let me."

"Eh, maybe I don't wanna talk like how you didn't want to talk to me," Spook huffs, continuing her way through the library.

"Will you just stop and let me talk!" Conner shouts.

Spook's eyes widen and she turns to him with a glare. "Because yelling resolves everything."

"I-I'm sorry..." Conner sighs. "I honestly didn't mean to yell..."

"What do you want?" Spook asks, stopping and fully turning to look at him with her tail flicking back and forth impatiently.

"I want to apologize for a few days ago," Conner apologizes, ears drooped down and tail uncertainly moving back and forth. Choosing his words carefully, he continues. "I was... angry and... I took it out on you. I'm sorry. That... was the wrong thing to do."

"Damn right," Spook huffs, turning her nose up. She gives him a glance to see him with his head down, looking at the floor. She sighs and turns back forward, continuing on her journey of being small through a big library. After a few minutes, she realizes that Conner is no longer following her, most likely went back to the others, and she continues in peace.

Dinner was a little while ago, the sun is about to go down. To say Artemis was mad when she saw the mess, would be an understatement. The place is a complete disaster. Yarn wrapped around everything, couches and tables flipped over, the barstools scattered, game controllers all over the place, cat food everywhere, furniture and other items knocked over, plants broken on the floor with soil all over, and a few litter box crumbs littering the floor. The only thing cleaned up was the cat food, as Wolf licked it all up happily, but the smell still lingers. Roy, Zatanna, and Artemis tried to flip the couches, managing only the loveseat as all the other couches were too big, long, or held down by all the yarn, or all of the above.

Now everyone is gathered in the living room except one certain kitten. Zatanna and Artemis are sitting on the loveseat with the kittens between them. Greta floats above them on her stomach, watching the kittens. Roy sits in a single chair nearby and takes notice of the missing twin.

"Which one of the twins is missing?" Roy asks.

"Spook," Conner answers immediately.

"One meow for Spook and two for Phantom," Artemis says.

"Meow," Megan mews.

The Kitten of Steel decides to get up and head to the place he knows the ghost kitten is most likely at. He finds her on the cliffside, watching the sunset like she does most nights. Conner moves to sit beside her. He glances at her, taking in her kitten features. Even for a kitten she's still beautiful. He shakes his head of those thoughts, knowing that they could never be together happily as she wasn't alive. "It's a beautiful sunset tonight."

"Yeah." It's silent for a few minutes before she sighs, turning to look at the jet black kitten.

"Spook..." Conner begins.

"Conner..." Spook says at the same time.

They look at each other with a laugh.

"You first," Conner says.

"No you."

He sighs, readying himself. "I'm sorry... for yelling all the time. I've just been so angry lately and I've been taking it out on everyone, mainly you. I've been keeping secrets that I shouldn't be keeping. I keep getting myself ready to tell you but then I just can't. I'm not ready. I'm sorry for being rude to you."

She sighs, glancing away from his eyes. "I... forgive you."

"I know you probably won't forgive me—Wait, you forgive me?"

"Oui..."

"Really?"

"But you have to make it up to me!" she quickly adds.

He chuckles. "Will do," he happily responds, moving closer to her.

She leans against him and he leans his head on hers, wrapping his tail with hers.

From the entrance behind them, the kittens, humans, and one ghost smile then slowly head back down to the living room.

"Recognized: Batman, 02. Green Arrow, 08. Aquaman, 06. Flash, 04. Superman, 01. Martian Manhunter, 07."

"That sucked," Green Arrow complains then takes a few sniffs. "Does anyone else smell... fish?"

Midnight has rolled around and all day the league has been trying to find Klarion in hopes that they could force him to return their protégés back into their normal selves. They didn't find any leads for the Chaos Personified Witchboy, succumbing down to having to wait for Fate to return.

They all head to the living room, not expecting to see the mess.

"Wow..." Flash breathes. "Did a tornado come through here?"

Passed out on the loveseat is Roy and Artemis, snuggled with each other. In between them is Kaldur, Megan, Robin, and Phantom. Possessively laying on Artemis' stomach is Wally. On the floor next to the couch is Wolf with Conner and Spook snuggled together in his fur on top of him. Zatanna went off to her room and Greta is playing a video game on her Nintendo, floating above the couch.

GA immediately pulls out his phone and takes a few pictures. "Revenge is sweet."

"What happened?" Batman asks the ghost girl.

"Wolf knocked over the couches by chasing Spook and Wally. Laser pointer knocked everything else over. One of them found some yarn and they got that around everything as you can tell," Greta says, not taking her eyes off her game.

"Troublemakers," Aquaman groans.

"It was worse before Wolf cleaned up all the cat food," Greta says. "Roy decided to prank the team and gave them cat food for lunch. Spook smacked it over and got it all over the kitchen island. Phantom and Wally grabbed it and threw it at Roy's face, then Roy chased them and got it all over the cave. Don't be surprised to find that in places."

"Eww," GA responds. "I thought I smelled something fishy."

"The only good thing that came out of this is that Conner and Spook made up," Greta says.

"They were fighting?" Superman asks.

"Yeah."

"Why?" Superman asks.

"Nobody knows," Greta admits. "Nobody dared to ask. Nobody wanted to get hit, knowing Spook and Conner's tempers."

A groan comes from Roy's lips, waking from all the noise. He tries to sit up to discover he can't because of Artemis being on his chest. He blinks his eyes a few times before seeing that Artemis is on him. He turns to see the leaguers besides him, GA with a large grin on his face. "Oh no."

"Oh yeah," GA responds, chuckling evilly and waving his phone back and forth in his hand. "You will never live this down."

Roy rolls his eyes and huffs, thus waking up Artemis.

Her eyes flutter open and the first thing she sees is Roy's face. "Oh... We didn't... Ugh..." she groans, smacking her head. She sees the bundle of orange fur on her stomach and a smile slowly tugs at her lips. She gently lifts him into her arms, cradling him. Wally shifts to the new adjustment and purrs as he's pet. Roy slowly moves off the couch to not disturb the sleeping kittens.

"How has your day been?" Flash teases.

"Do you really have to ask?" Artemis groans.

"I'll get to work on cleaning up," Flash says, knowing Wally caused a lot of trouble for them today. His red blur moves around the room, staying in one place for only a few seconds before heading to a new area.

"Today was your first day, tomorrow will be better," Martian Manhunter says.

"I hope so," Artemis sighs, hesitantly moving off the couch with Wally still in her grasp.

"Where's Zatanna?" Batman asks.

"She's most likely asleep in her room," Roy grumbles.

"Yeah, she's passed out on her bed," Greta says. "I checked on her a few minutes ago."

Wolf's head raises to look at the new people in the room. Artemis pets his head with one hand before she stands up and stretches her limbs, continuing to hold the curled up orange tabby.

"Well, we learned something new," Artemis says. "They all still have powers but not all of their powers."

"They do?" GA asks.

"The twins have flight, invisibility, and intangibility," Greta says. "Conner has about half the strength of Batman, Wally has his speed, Kaldur has his electricity, and M'gann can use her camouflage."

"Interesting," Manhunter says.

"They can't use it for long though," Artemis explains. "It tires them out."

"Did you guys find anything?" Roy asks.

"We learned the name of the crystal is Safira Felina which is Portuguese for Sapphire Feline," Batman says. "It's a mystical sapphire that turns anyone the holder pleases into a cat with a specific enchantment."

"That's about all we've found out," GA says.

"Any way to reverse it?" Artemis asks.

"We remember from a past mission that a way to break a spell was to hear it backwards," Superman says. "That could work."

"But we'd have to know the spell," Batman continues. "We tried to get video feed from the museum but all the cameras in that area were cut off."

"We haven't been able to contact Fate but he should be returning tomorrow according to schedule. Hopefully, he will be able to provide us with good news," Superman says.

"Tomorrow maybe we can find Klarion with Zatanna's help," Artemis says. "Or I guess later today."

"I believe that would be for the best," Manhunter says. "We all need some rest."

"Do you two mind to stay here with the kit-team?" GA asks Roy and Artemis.

"As long as you don't make another stupid cat pun," Artemis groans with an eye roll.

"Not like I'm allowed to go out and do anything. And I know Roy sure doesn't have anything to do," Greta says.

"Hey! I'll have you know I have plenty of other important things I need to tend to," Roy huffs.

"Like what?" Artemis scoffs. Roy doesn't say anything. "Exactly."

Roy sighs. "I'll stay out here with them if you want to take a room to sleep in."

"That's unusually nice of you," Artemis says.

"Or you could stay out here."

"No, I'm leaving," Artemis says. "Goodnight everyone." She heads down to a spare room, completely forgetting she's carrying Wally with her.

"We'll return tomorrow if we get news that Dr. Fate is back," Batman says. "Otherwise we will be trying to find more info on our own."

The room returns to normal and Flash skids to a stop with a sigh. "I'll tell Wally's parents that he won't be home tonight."

"As I will inform Kaldur'ahm's parents," Aquaman says.

"Hopefully they won't cause any more trouble for you," Superman says. "Goodnight everyone." He heads back to the zeta-tubes, followed by Martian Manhunter.

"Goodnight," Batman says, turning to leave.

The rest of the league members follow, their designation numbers ring off, leaving Greta and Roy to themselves with five sleeping kittens and a wolf.

"So not asterous," Greta sighs.

"How about you put that game up and watch the team," Roy huffs. "I'm taking a room. Night."

Greta rolls her eyes as she watches him go. "HoW aBout yOu pUt ThaT gaMe Up anD watCh the TeaM," Greta mocks, sticking her tongue out at his retreating figure and continuing to play her game.

...NEXT MORNING...

Spook's eyes flutter open after feeling her position moved. The area around her is furry, a mixture of black and mainly white. She quickly realizes that she's a top Wolf, curled next to Superboy, who has yet to wake.

"Wolf, where are we going?" Spook asks, standing and wobbling over closer to Wolf's head.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you," Wolf responds.

Spook lets out a small surprised yip. "You talk!"

"I figured you'd be able to hear me since you are an animal now," Wolf responds calmly.

"This is so weird," Spook mumbles. "Your voice sounds a lot like Conner's but deeper."

"Not as weird as me seeing my master as a puny kitten," Wolf says, continuing to walk.

"So where are we going?" Spook asks, noticing he's heading outside.

"Bathroom," Wolf simply responds.

"I could go to the bathroom myself," Spook yawns, stretching before hopping off Wolf's back.

"Spook?" Wolf calls out.

"Yes?"

"We need to have a talk later."

"What about?"

"You," Wolf answers before heading outside and disappearing from Spook's view.

"Interesting," Spook shrugs and heads to her litterbox.

After breakfast, Spook leaves to talk with Wolf. The others still don't know that he can talk. They travel to her favorite spot, looking over the horizon. Both sit close to the edge and sit next to each other.

"So... what did you wanna talk about?"

"You," Wolf says, turning to look at her.

"What about me do you want to know?"

"I won't share anything with the others," Wolf sighs. "But I know you're not dead."

"What?!" Spook yowls with wide eyes, turning to him.

"Well, not fully at least."

"H-how? How'd you know?"

"Ghosts and humans have a particular smell," Wolf begins. "You and your brother have both smells. I know my master has a few secrets of his own, but why haven't you told anyone?"

Spook sighs. "My brother and I... our parents are a very powerful family and should never be messed with. We were raised differently compared to other children our age. We learned to only trust ourselves and nobody else. We decided to keep our identities a secret until we learned that we could trust the team."

"Do you still not trust them?" Wolf asks.

"I trust them if I'm dead or alive," Spook says, sincerity in her eyes.

"Then you should tell them."

"When the time is right."

"One more question."

"What is it, Wolf?"

"Do you like my master?"

"Of course he's one of my good friends."

"I meant like as a soulmate," Wolf says.

If Spook didn't have fur covering her face, you'd be able to see how pink it was at this moment. "Th-that's none of your b-business!" she yelps and runs into the cave, leaving behind a chuckling Wolf.

She returns to the living room to see the others glance in her direction when she arrives.

"Where'd did you and Wolf go?" Conner asks.

"N-nowhere!" she squeaks. "He just wanted to talk."

"He talks?!" Wally shouts.

"Well, obviously," Conner scoffs. "We are animals now."

Wally sighs annoyed. "Well, I'm bored."

"Then let's talk about how you slept with Artemis last night," Robin cackles.

"Dude!" Wally yowls. "I didn't have a choice in the matter! I was asleep!"

"But you totally loved it," Robin teases.

Wally huffs. "I'm going to do something instead of sitting here doing nothing!"

"You should not wander alone," Kaldur says. "Even though we are safe in the cave, bad things can still happen. We are still helpless kittens. Do not do anything rash."

"Gotcha, boss kitty," Wally says.

"I'll go with him," Spook says. "I don't have anything to do."

"Neither does anyone else!" Wally complains.

"I am not so sure you should go with him," Kaldur admits. "You two will surely cause trouble."

"We will not!" Spook and Wally huff.

"I'll go too," Robin says.

"That's even worse," Kaldur sighs.

The three grin before they disappear to the front entrance.

"Where are those three going?" Artemis asks, watching the three leave.

"I don't know," Megan shrugs.

The three kittens walk around outside.

"Everything is so much bigger now that we're so small," Wally admits, looking up at all the tall trees.

"Can we go back in?" Robin complains. "It's muddy from the melted snow and my paws are getting all gross."

"Pussy," Spook comments.

"Like you have room to talk," Robin huffs. "You can float."

"Well, because I don't want muddy paws."

Robin scoffs as Wally laughs.

"So, what are we gonna do out here?" Spook asks.

"Explore," Wally answers. "Go places where a human cannot!"

"Alright..." Robin sighs.

Wally and Robin walk through the mud side by side as Spook floats above their heads, curiously looking at everything around them.

"It's so different," Spook admits. "So glad I'm not an ant."

"You and me both," Robin agrees.

"CAAH CAAwWh!" a screech is heard. "FOOD!"

"What was that?" Wally asks.

"Duck!" Spook shouts, diving down in the mud next to the boys.

A hawk swoops down from above barely missing Spook.

"Run!" Robin shouts, scurrying out of the mud and heading back toward the cave entrance. "We wandered too far! I don't know where the entrance is!"

Spook and Wally pull themselves from the mud.

"Sorry, can't open my eyes!" Wally shouts. "Too much mud on my face!"

"Robin, come here!" Spook shouts. Robin immediately does as told. "Get close to Wally and be quiet." He curls next to Wally and Spook stands over top of them protectively.

The hawk turns around ready to strike again and begins to dive down with a battle cry. "CAAwH!"

Spook pushes herself to make an invisible force field and put them out of sight. The hawk swoops up after seeing them disappear.

"Spook?" Wally whispers out after Robin helps him get rid of some mud from his face, noticing her hovering over them.

"We need to get back to the cave," Spook whispers back, eyeing the hawk circling in the sky above them. "I can't hold this shield forever, especially since I used a lot of my energy flying."

"Sorry, I can think clearly now," Robin whispers. "The cave should be that way."

"Then let's move but do so silently," Spook whispers.

They begin to slowly move toward the entrance of the cave and a few feet before making it, Spook's shield disperses, leaving them vulnerable. They scream as they see the hawk heading straight for them and run to the cave as fast as possible, meaning Wally is already inside making muddy pawprints.

"Run Spook!" Robin calls out.

Spook lets out a shakey breath. "I... used too much energy."

The hawk swoops down and almost snags Spook if Robin didn't claw it in the face.

"Let's go!" Robin shouts, shoving Spook along.

They tumble into the cave and the hawk follows as they scream for help. They run all the way to the living room in search of help. A green blast of energy strikes the hawk and it goes tumbling to the ground.

Greta lets out a cheer. "I hit it!"

"Spook, Robin, Wally!" Zatanna shouts. "Are you three okay?!"

The three bunch together, shaking in fear.

"Look at all the mud you brought in!" Roy shouts. "You got it everywhere!"

"You guys are filthy!" Artemis huffs. "Baths immediately before you get the cave even dirtier."

"I'll return the hawk outside before it wakes back up," Roy says, cupping the bird in his hands and heading back to the exit.

The three don't move and continue to shake.

"Guys?" Phantom calls out.

"Are you three okay?" Megan asks.

"Does it l-look like we're okay?" Wally whisper-shouts, trembling.

"I'll take them to the shower room," Zatanna says. "I'll get them cleaned up. There's a small tub in there." She turns to the three shaking kittens. "Tfil meht pu." The three are lifted by a mystic force and follow behind Zatanna to the shower room.

"Never going outside again," Spook mutters.

"What were you three thinking?" Zatanna asks as she rinses them off.

Zatanna finishes cleaning them, surprised by how easy it was and dried them off. She picks them all up after they're completely dry and brings them back to the living room to find nobody in there.

"Where'd everyone go?" Wally asks.

Zatanna decides to head into the mission room to find everyone there with Dr. Fate, Batman, Green Arrow, and Flash.

"We have some news," Batman says.

"The spell that Klarion cast is permanent and will have the team become like cats more every day until they can't even remember that they ever were human," Fate says. "I can't reverse the spell unless I have the Safira Felina."

"This is not good," Kaldur says.

"Can you locate the crystal?" Artemis asks.

"No, but I can locate Klarion," Fate responds.

"What's the Safira Felina?" Spook asks.

"What's the Safira Felina?" Zatanna asks.

"It's the crystal that turned the team into kittens," GA answers. "It means Sapphire Feline."

"Oh," Wally says.

"There is no guarantee that Klarion will still have the Safira Felina on him," Fate says.

"I declare that as our souvenir for this!" Wally exclaims.

"Let's get the cat!" Spook yowls, grabbing everyone's attention.

"Let's go take down that cat freak!" Wally shouts.

"I'm ready!" Robin huffs.

"No, the kittens stay here," Batman says.

"What?!" Phantom shouts.

"That's not fair!" Conner yells.

All the kittens begin shouting in protest.

"I said no," Batman growls. "You'll be liabilities."

"Greta will stay here while everyone else heads out," GA says.

"Sorry, Wally," Flash shrugs.

The kittens let out growls of frustration as they leave them to the living room.

"This is so unfair!" Wally complains.

Kaldur sighs. "We just have to rely on them to be able to get the crystal. There is nothing we can do."

"Unless we sneak onto the ship," Phantom points out.

"No," Spook sighs. "We'll stay here."

"But–"

"No," Kaldur cuts Phantom off. "We shall remain here until they get back."

"That's so boring!" Wally fusses.

"I agree with Batman," Megan says. "We would only get in the way. There's not much we can do as kittens."

Each kitten looks down in defeat.

"I'm tired," Spook yawns, heading over to the couch. She leaps up and snuggles in a ball. "Wake me when they return." She closes her eyes.

A dip in the couch tells her someone else jumped onto the couch. "I'm joining you. That hawk wore me out." Robin curls next to her.

A sigh is heard before someone else leaps up and curls next to Robin. Conner curls up on the other side of Spook. Kaldur gets behind Conner along with Megan and Phantom.

A few hours pass...

Spook yawns and takes a lengthy stretch, taking notice that some of the team is on the floor wrestling with one another. Wally, Robin, and Conner are on the floor tumbling over each other. Kaldur and Megan are curled up with Phantom still asleep.

"What are you guys doing?" Spook asks, looking down at the three on the floor.

"Momma, you're up!" Wally shouts.

Spook's eye twitches. "I told you to stop calling me that!"

"But, you're our mom," Conner points out.

"Why wouldn't we call you momma?" Robin asks.

"Now you guys are in on it?" Spook huffs.

"In on what?" Robin asks.

"Are you okay, momma?" Wally asks.

"I'm not your mom!" Spook shouts, making the three cower. Spook takes notice. "What is wrong with you three?"

"You've got to be our mom," Robin says. "We woke up with you around us and daddy was around older brother and sister."

Spook's eyes widen, remembering what Fate said. "You're becoming more like kittens... This is not good."

"Momma, where are we?" Conner asks.

"Oh, this is so weird... Uh, we're at the cave. Mount Justice... ring any bells?"

"This is our home?" Wally asks. "It's big."

"Holy crap..." Spook sighs. "Fratello! Wake up!"

Phantom groans, waking up along with Kaldur and Megan.

"What, what's... wrong?" Phantom yawns.

"We have a major problem!" Spook shouts. "Everyone thinks that we're their parents!"

"Wait, what?!" Phantom yells, becoming fully alert.

"Momma, daddy?" Megan groans, waking up looking between the two.

"Why are you calling them mom and dad?" Kaldur asks her confused. "Spook?"

"They're becoming more like kittens," Spook answers, watching Megan jumping from the couch to play with the three boys. "You aren't different?"

"My tattoos were not affected so I guess I will not be changing as fast," Kaldur says.

"I figure we aren't because we phased through the blast," Phantom says.

"Exactly," Spook says, watching the four kittens on the ground wrestle to see who is the dominate one.

"Recognized: Batman, 02. Martian Manhunter, 07. Doctor Fate, 17. Zatanna Zatara, B10."

The system continues to read more, freaking out the four kittens on the floor.

"What is that?!" Wally shouts, scrambling up onto the couch with the others.

All four immediately cower, hiding under Spook.

"Momma! Make it stop!" Robin cries out.

Spook sighs, jumping off the couch and heading to the mission room. The four trail at her feet and Phantom and Kaldur a little ways behind her.

"Did you find Klarion?" Spook asks.

"Oh, we found him," GA scoffs.

Spook, Kaldur, and Phantom gasp as a box that Martian Manhunter was holding is brought to the floor. Out from the box is Green Arrow, Flash, Superman, Fire, Ice, and Aquaman in full grown cat form. Artemis and Roy are both kittens.

Green Arrow, Artemis, Flash, and Aquaman are all blonde tabbies. Green Arrow and Aquaman both have blue eyes, making them look exactly the same. Flash has green eyes and Artemis has her normal gray ones.

Superman looks exactly like Superboy but full grown. Fire is completely green along with her eyes. Ice is all white with blue eyes. Roy looks just like Wally but with blue eyes.

"Momma, who are these people?" Robin asks, cowering behind Spook's leg.

"Momma?" Flash asks. "Why is he–?"

"These four think that my fratello and I are their parents," Spook groans, shuttering. "Kaldur has resisted it because of his magic."

"They're turning more into kittens," Kaldur says.

"That's not good," Superman says.

Spook noses Conner out from under her and shoves him over to Superman. "That's your dad. I'm not your mom and Phantom is not your dad." She shoves Wally over to Flash.

"Dad?" Conner calls out, looking at Superman.

Superman looks down at Conner nervously and sighs in defeat. "Yeah?"

"He looks just like you," Wally admits, looking between the two.

Spook shoves Wally to Flash. "This is your uncle." Spook moves over to Manhunter next, Robin and Megan following her from underneath. Spook shoves Megan to Manhunter's feet. "This is your uncle." MM picks Megan up. Spook moves to Batman. "This is your dad."

Robin looks up at Batman and immediately hides under Spook. "He's s-scary. H-how can he be my dad? He's n-not a cat."

Spook agitatedly sighs. "He's a bat so it rhymes with cat."

"This sucks," Artemis huffs. "This is not how things should've gone."

"No shit," Roy scoffs.

Kaldur looks up to Manhunter. "What happened?"

"Let me link us together," Manhunter says, linking everyone to each other. "Link established."

"We confronted Klarion and made a move of attack," Batman says. "But he had Wotan, Felix Faust, Wizard, and Blackbriar Thorn with him."

"Just like when the world split," Kaldur says.

"Exactly," Batman says.

"What do we do now?" Fire asks.

"You won't do anything," Fate says. "What do you think you can accomplish in your state?"

"I will contact the rest of the league," Batman says, pulling up a monitor. "Spook, Phantom, do you think Greta is ready for combat?"

"No!" they both shout.

"Too bad," Batman responds. "She's the only hope we have since she won't be able to turn along with Red Tornado."

"Yeah, where has RT been?" Artemis asks.

"Personal business," Batman responds.

"Where's Greta?" Zatanna asks.

"That's a good question," Phantom admits.

"I haven't seen her since you all left," Wolf says, walking into the room.

"He can talk!" Flash shouts.

"You are an animal just like he is now," Aquaman says.

"And that's why you understand fish, right?" GA jokes.

"Greta, please come to the mission room," Martian Manhunter speaks, connecting her to the mind link.

Greta appears not a second later. "Yes? Is there something you need?"

"You're going on a mission to help get Klarion," Batman says, gathering all the final Leaguers to his call.

"What, really?!" she squeals. "Yes!"

"Don't think this means you are ready though," Spook says.

"Because you're not," Phantom finishes.

Greta pouts. "Wait! I can hear you!"

"Batman? Is there a reason you're calling all of us?" Wonder Woman asks once she picks up.

"The team was all turned into kittens by Klarion and we need to get the jewel back that he used to turn them into kittens to be able to turn them back," Batman explains. "We can relocate him but we need all the help we can get. Make your way to the cave." He hangs up and closes the screen.

"How did the four of you not turn into cats?" Kaldur asks.

"I shielded Zatanna and myself," Fate explains.

"I pulled Batman and I to another room before we were hit," Manhunter says. "He was the closest to myself."

"Recognized: Wonder Woman, 03."

Wonder Woman emerges from the zeta-tube and immediately heads over to see all the kitten turned heroes. "Great Hera..."

"Recognized: Red Tornado, 16."

"I cannot believe this has happened to us," Ice sighs.

The other league members show up and off they go to find Klarion.

"So, what do you guys do for fun?" GA asks.

"Explore the cave," Spook says. "I've already done it. It kept me entertained for a while."

"Sounds fun enough," Ice says. "I haven't really explored the cave."

"I'll take you ladies on the grand tour!" GA announces.

"Whatever," Roy scoffs. "I'm going to take a nap."

"Me too," Artemis agrees, following after him to the living room.

"I would like to rest as well," Aquaman says.

"Yeah, running around all day has worn me-out," Flash says. "I'm gonna need a nap too."

Roy, Artemis, Flash, and Aquaman head off to the living room. Wally following after Flash and Kaldur going with his king.

"Superman?" Spook calls out. "You're unusually quiet."

Superman looks up from gazing at Superboy, who's rubbing himself against Superman's legs. "Sorry, a bit... distracted."

"By how Conner's acting?" Spook asks, watching as GA, Ice, Fire, Phantom, and Megan head off somewhere in the cave. "How nonangry he is?"

"Yeah."

"How do you think I feel?" Spook groans, looking down at Robin who's still cowering beneath her.

"Now you know how I feel when you shove this father thing on me."

"Because you are his dad! I'm not Robin's mom!" Spook scoffs. "Please, grow up and take responsibility! You may not have wanted him here, but he's here and you need to help him. All he ever asked for was to have your attention and you can't even do that! You treat him like trash. The problem is you, you know it and don't really care. And I thought you were a superhero. You're really just an immature and irresponsible douche. Come on, Robin. Let's go." Spook turns away in rage as Robin follows beneath her.

The two enter the living room and Spook jumps up onto the couch next to Artemis and Roy.

"Momma?" Robin calls out.

"I told you not to call me that, it's creepy." Spook sighs after he doesn't respond. "What?"

"Up."

She groans as picks herself back up and moves over to the edge to look down. "You did before."

He tilts his head. "I did?"

"Ugh..." Spook jumps off, picks him up with her mouth by his neck scruff, and leaps back up to curl down where she was before. "Just go to sleep."

He nods with a yawn as he curls up under her arm. She rolls her eyes but cuddles him close anyway. Robin is like the little brother she never had and will protect him no matter what.

"Recognized:'Batman, 02."

Spook yawns, hearing the system reading off the new arrivals. She stands up with a lengthy stretch, carefully maneuvers to the edge to not wake the others, and hops off the couch.

"Are they back already?" Spook asks, noticing Wolf awake at the foot of the couch.

He turns to her. "You're up?"

"What are you doing?"

"I was going to see if they did succeed in the mission."

"Can I come with?"

He nods. She makes her way up to him and climbs onto his back once he lowers himself to her. They travel to the mission room to greet the Leaguers and Zatanna. She looks over each member, quickly noticing them all to be slightly battered. Batman reaches to his utility belt and pulls out the same gem Klarion stole from the museum.

"Yay!" Spook cheers, earning everyone's attention.

"Spook?" Zatanna calls out. "Where's everyone else?"

She curls herself up on Wolf's back and pretends she's sleeping.

"Guess they're all asleep," Greta says.

"So cute!" Captain Marvel squeaks, moving over to Spook and scooping her up. He begins to scratch her gently under the chin which she thoroughly enjoys.

"Before we change them back," Hal says. "We're so taking bribing pics."

"Yes!" Captain Marvel cheers, setting Spook back on Wolf's back. He and Hal race off to the living room with Hal's phone.

"Billy makes sense as to why he acts like a kid because he is one, but Hal is a grown man," the other Green Lantern, John, sighs. "He has no reason, him, Flash, and Arrow."

"I've already taken plenty of pictures," Zatanna says. "We got so many pictures this year we need to do a slide show on New Years."

Wolf turns and begins to walk back to the living room. The remaining team members follow behind.

Captain Marvel giggles as Hal continues to take pictures of the sleeping cats.

"Alright, that's enough, boys," Black Canary sighs.

"Just one more..." Hal says, taking a final picture before being satisfied. "Alright, you can turn them back now."

Spook jumps off from Wolf's back to sit in front of the small couch of cats and kittens, knowing what's gonna happen once they return to normal.

Fate casts a spell to have them all dressed when they return to normal before receiving the gem from Batman and walks forward. He holds the gem out and begins chanting the spell backwards, from the end to the beginning. "Assim amamos os que por / maravilha pequena / crescer e durar vai que / amizade uma / lado nosso pelo / calmante presença uma / orgulho com tocado / graciosos movimentos / dizer podem palavras as que do / amor mais mostre e / bem está tudo / sinalizar para purrs / silencioso toque o / têm que patas / tanto vê que / delicados olhos!"

The gem glows as it did before and surrounds each cat in a glow, this time without the pain just a weird tingly feeling. Each member begins to grow bigger one by one, all while they're still asleep. Everyone returns to normal all piled on one another on the loveseat. Hal immediately begins to take pictures as everyone begins to stir from the weight of one another.

"Get off of me you giant lugs!" Artemis shouts. "You're crushing me!"

"Conner you're heavy!" Roy huffs.

"Jeezus Oliver! What do you eat!" Wally shouts.

"I could say the same to you!" Robin groans.

"Clark, move!" Fire groans.

Phantom phases through everyone, making everyone shift and get elbowed in many places and squished even more. He lands beside his giggling sister, giving her an annoyed nudge. Everyone moves around, trying to get up and failing.

"Barry! You're squishing my boobs!" Ice squeaks.

Flash vibrates out, once again making everyone shift and get injured.

"M'gann, go first!" Kaldur says, trying to withstand the weight on him. "You are at the top."

"My foot is stuck under Superman," Megan comments.

Superman shifts so she can float away, helping Oliver off with her. Everyone gradually gets off the pile.

"You couldn't of woke us up?" Wally grunts, fixing his hair out of his face.

Hal laughs along with Captain Marvel, Spook, and Greta. "No," Hal chuckles, twirling his phone, full of pictures, in his hand. "That was the fun part."

Conner, Ice, Fire, and Roy huff in annoyance.

"You took pictures didn't you?" Barry asks Hal.

"You know me so well, Barry," Hal grins.

Barry groans. "It's no fun if you're involved yourself..."

"I'll send all the pics to everyone," Hal says. "I'll upload them to my Instagram!"

"No!" almost everyone shouts.

Hal grins. "Too late!" He scrolls through his phone. "Fans are loving it! 1,000 views in under a minute! That's crazy!"

Batman rolls his eyes, unnoticed from under his mask. "It's nice to have you all back to normal. Everyone head home and rest up." With that final word, Batman turns with a whip of his cape and leaves through the zeta-tubes.

Hal laughs as he leaves too. Wally snatches the gem from Fate's hands and places it in the souvenir room before returning. Many leave, leaving the team and Greta to their thoughts.

"Holy crap!" Wally suddenly shouts. "We thought you were our parents!"

"Yeah..." Robin sighs.

"That was disgusting," Phantom comments.

"Agreed," Spook sighs.

"It was disturbing..." Kaldur admits.

"That's hilarious!" Greta cackles.

"It was fun being a cat but I'm glad we're back to normal," Megan admits.

"I'm done," Artemis grunts. "I'm heading home. Night."

The others head home behind her, leaving the inhabitants of the cave.

"It's been a long day, goodnight everyone," Zatanna says, disappearing to her room.

Greta shrugs. "I guess I'll go on patrol."

"Get us if anything happens," Phantom orders.

Greta nods, phasing through the mountain to the city.

Spook checks the time on the wall, sighing at seeing it's way past sunset. "Well, I'm not tired after sleeping all day. Anyone else?"

"I think we should clean up all the cat items and donate them to a local animal shelter," Megan voices.

"Not it for cleaning litter boxes!" Spook shouts.

"Not it!" Conner and Phantom shout.

"Ha, fratello, you and Megan gotta do it," Spook laughs. "That way nobody will have to touch them. Use your powers of telekinesis!"

Phantom groans as he and Megan move toward the hangar. Spook turns to Conner with a smile.

"What?" Conner asks.

"We get to do the easy stuff," Spook says, floating over to the kitchen.

Conner follows, seeing her collecting the bowls from the floor, and copies. Each of them collect them all, rinse them out, and dry them.

"It feels so weird not having a tail," Conner comments, making Spook burst out laughing. "What?"

"N-nothing... nothing!" she chuckles. "That was just so random."

"So, are we good?" he asks worriedly.

Spook turns to look at him after handing him a bowl to dry. "You know you can tell me anything, right?"

"I do," he admits. "And I will when I'm ready."

The halfa smiles. "And I you."
