3rd Point of View
Giotto opened the door of the infirmary loudly, nearly breaking it but he ignored it, he opted to look for the Sun Guardian who entered several minutes after him.
Knuckle made a quick check at her.
"She has many cuts, some are deep, the rest, thankfully, are not. 3 broken ribs and a broken arm. She lost some blood but it's not critical. It will take a lot of time but I'll manage but for now, get out of the room, Giotto" Knuckle ordered.
Giotto was about to protest but one look at Knuckle made him stop. He was glaring at him.
Giotto immediately exits the room, shivering too. Jeez, how scary are his guardians?
He then saw almost all his guardians waiting outside the room, Daemon is the only one missing. G stepped up "How is she?" He asked.
"Bad. But Knuckle said he can heal her, it may take some time though... " He said worried
"While we wait, tell us what happened, Giotto." Asari coaxed the man to sit down while the rest of his guardians surround them, with Alaude leaning against the wall, not far from them.
One hour later.
After the longest hour in his life, Giotto gets to finally learn something about the woman, as soon as Knuckle opens the door with an exhausted face, he bolted out of his seat and raced to him like an eager dog wanting to take a walk.
"How is she?" He asks, anxiously. "It was worse than I though but I managed. All her wounds are all patched up now and she's sleeping. It'll be hard for her to move to the maximum, so we need to put a maid near here all the time." Knuckle informed.
Giotto sighed relieved. He doesn't know but he felt attracted to that girl. "Can I see her?" He asks. Knuckle nodded "Yeah you can. But don't wake her up, she's been through enough, that poor lady. I'll head to the prayer room to pray for her".
Infirmary.
Giotto sits down on the chair and gazes at the unconscious woman with concern, but mostly relieved that she's not at the death's door, wondering who could've done such a thing.
He catches her chapped lips moving and leaned down, intent to catch some words.
"Minna...Gomen..." she mumbled and under her lashes, tears are gathering.
He clenched his jaws tightly, but his eyes are sad, his heart ached for the girl who lost everything. The one who did this to her will pay big time.
Gulping, he thought of something that he never thought before ok his whole life.
He kissed her forehead lightly.
Her pained face slowly vanished but a lone tear went down the delicate swell of her cheek. Giotto smiled at the progress and stands up, he pats his pants for invisible dust and smooths the woman's hair with a gloved hand.
"Wake up soon, Miss" he mumbled and left the room.
If he stayed for a moment longer, he could've the small content smile that the woman had when she heard his soothing voice.
Evening.
"I learned that she's Japanese" Giotto said during their monthly meeting, Asari perked up and looks at his friend, interested "Japanese, de gozaru?".
They are sitting at a round table with all of them surrounding. Giotto faces Alaude, who's between Lampo and Asari while Daemon, who just arrived, is the farthest from the blonde prefect, between G and Knuckle.
It is common sense to separate the two as much as possible, even in 'peaceful' meetings.
Having another Japanese in Europe is very rare and Asari is happy that he could finally talk to someone that is Japanese, that is IF she would talk to him.
Despite that possibility, Asari still looks forwards to talking to the unknown female.
"Yeah. She mumbled 'Gomen' and 'Minna' in her sleep. If I'm correct 'Gomen' means Sorry while 'Minna' is Everyone, right Asari?" Giotto asked turning to his Japanese friend who nodded cheerfully.
"Now that's absolutely rare, a female boss, Japanese in Italy?" Daemon hums, twirling a pen in his hand from boredom, even more intrigued than ever. Alaude grunts, "Alaude thinks it's suspicious." Lampo yawns.
Giotto pressed his lips in a thin line and sighs, "We should've asked Bermuda for her name."
G scowled, "More than her name, idiotic boss, we should've asked about everything about her." he groans.
Giotto puts his cheek on his palm and stares at a far away wall, pensively. His guardians sneak a few glances at him and deemed that he's far deep in his daydream to notice them talking to each other.
In a flash, the six males huddle in a corner of the meeting room after abandoning their chairs, shoulders touching and heads low as if having a secret conversation, even Alaude joined in, despite his notorious hate for crowding.
"Hey, is it me or is Giotto getting more distracted lately, today?" Lampo whispers to them, his electric green eyes pinned on the blonde boss who lets out another sigh.
"It all started when Vindice appeared with that woman, is she part of this somehow?" Asari whispers back.
G grunted, "Most likely, the way he looked at her was different."
"Different, how to the extreme?"
"All soft and disgusting-"
"Speaking of Bermuda-" at Giotto's voice, the six men went back to their chairs, acting as if they never talked behind their friend's back, all posh and serious but Lampo failed miserably and crashed on the floor, his seat on the verge of tipping over but it regained its balance.
Giotto flinched at the loud thud and bends down, to look under the table, his rust colored eyes pinned on the groaning Lightning guardian with worry. "Lampo, are you okay?"
Amidst his groaning, the youngest of the group gives him a shaky thumbs up.
"I'm good."
"What were you going to say, Giotto?" G smoothly steered the attention away from Lampo with his question. Giotto sits back, properly. "Bermuda once mentioned to expect their visits so that means-"
"The woman's subordinates will come." G concluded, eyes a bit wide.
"If there are survivors." Daemon reminded them of the other grim possibility and they all went silent.
Infirmary.
She's back in that Hell place again. In the same bloody clothes and bloody wounds.
But this time, everyone is alive but fighting for their lives, scream and explosions are echoing throughout the once beautiful mansion of the Vongola.
Tsuna wanted to help, but for some reasons, she can't move an inch from her spot. She moved her legs and hears the rattling of chains, she looks down and sees bloodied chains wrapped around her ankles painfully.
"NO!" she screams and clawed the restraints desperately.
"No, don't-" a man's yell captured her attention and she looked up from her crouched position, just in time to see a man getting decapitated. Her eyes widened at the gruesome sight and she follows the head that is rolling towards her direction, leaving a bloody abstract art in its wake.
To her horror, the head stopped right in front of her, dead brown eyes staring into her livelier ones, her breath hitched as her mind identified the eyes' owner.
"Dino..." she breathlessly whispers.
"You failed us, Tsuna." was the head's ghostly reminder.
Tsuna woke up with a scream and sits up, chest heaving erratically while crazed eyes look ahead.
The maid, who was accompanying her, squeaks out of her chairs and stands up with her hand on her chest.
"Sei sveglia!" the maid exclaims, both shocked and relieved. Tsuna ignored her scampering out of the room, takes in her environment.
She's inside an antique looking room, on a queen-sized bed with white silky sheets, decorated with golden designs. Above her, dangling is a familiar chandelier, not old but shiny and new.
"Where..." she inhales.
She felt as if she was here before, but not at the same time.
Suddenly the door opened and Tsuna snaps her head towards it, connecting gazes with hauntingly familiar orange eyes.
"I see that you're awake" the blonde man smiles and it all came crashing down on her.
She's in the past.
Far away from her family.
And in front of her is the Founder of the biggest Mafia family in Italy, alive and not as a ghost.
Addio per adesso!
